The benefit of an unprecedented time is the desire to explore and find something new I was lucky enough to find this placethe barista was incredibly friendly it was weird was like a coworker and maybe even a family memberyou’re walking your immediately captivated by the variety of colors which place is clearly stylish and quite well appropriated but one thing that it does is it answers with really good foodI had a hot chocolate it’s a friend of mine had a carrot cake which I tried and honestly it was so good I think it should be smoked from a pipe with a friend of mine and she’s eating quiche or was it this it was a spinach quiche?I can tell you she ate it so fast I don’t even think I have time to take a picture and she had a mocha with whip cream the sweetness of which was literally like kissing the sweetness of whipped cream.

Great place for coffee drinks and cocktails! Drinks are on the pricey side but also the only late night “coffee shop” with free WiFi I can find in Lawrence where I can get some work done on my laptop.

Love the location and many great memories. Two thoughts: one the ticking fan over the light has a blinking strobe effect that hurts migraines and light sensitives. Two: the coffee is very strong. Lighter roast would be good.

Went in there for coffee and somehow didnt really like it even though it was Repitition coffee!However, when you go in the evening, the ambience completely transforms, smells amazing and the drinks are good.

Excellent, cozy atmosphere and great service, even late at night just a few hours from their 2am closing time. Staff was very knowledgeable and kind. The patrons themselves were a fun, lively bunch. Even during a brief power outage, everyone was still in good spirits.Wonderful atmosphere to sit and talk over a good cup of coffee, but wouldnt recommend it for studying or a first date.

Lawrence’s best bar. Any bar that pours a 16 oz. Boulevard Tank 7 is tops in my book, but then you add some art house vibe? Heavenly.

Cozy sitting spaces and good coffee. If you are going with a laptop, the environment is great, but there is a large east facing window (and thus a lot of glare in certain parts of the shop), so take that into account if you are looking for a place to write or browse the web that time of day.Plenty of outlets to be found here and the staff is friendly and professional. I had an iced coffee and found it high quality.

My husband favorite bar and coffee shop in Lawrence. Their loaded tank (tank 7 and espresso shot) is amazing, as is their coffee martini. We usually stop by on the weekend to grab a coffee or a drink. Their patio is great in the summer, and it is dog friendly outside as well. Definitely stop by if you can. When the weather is great, it can be victim of its own success and get crowded for seating, beware.

It’s cold out, COVID is basically over, and you’re not seating people inside. You not only lost our business tonight but potentially forever. It’s a dumb policy that has zero substance behind it.

I visit Lawrence often, and I always stop here. The espresso is excellent. The atmosphere is relaxed and the service is amazing. I love to hang out on the patio, read a book and sip espresso all day and this is the perfect place for doing that. I can shop all up and down Mass Street and then relax and chill.

This is a bar that is small, low key, and classy. The drinks are not made, but instead crafted in front of you. Think the opposite of a glary night club. You go to this place to talk and drink hard to find rum. Taking in the social atmosphere is just one of The Pigs many rewards.

Coffee or cocktails, or a coffee cocktail, the Pig has it all. Also a lovely outside sitting area. A perfect place to chill in between appointments or a swell destination in itself. Vintage charm feeling with an edge.

Laid back environment with a front and back patio, booze drinks, and coffee drinks. Typically have a lot of folks studying on computers inside that, so the noise level is fairly low. Big, south facing windows bring in lots of light which highlights the beautiful bar. Also always a selection of news periodicals available for customers.

Its hard to love this place but I do. Peel a layer or two back from the bartenders, get to know their names and youll discover they are good humored, but not as good humored as the coffees. The drinks are well made and consistent but not many places do dirty javas better than this spot.The espresso and the coffees, even the pour overs are nice and strong like I like them. If you want a little water added they can adjust and cater to any need.This spot roasts their own coffee.

A real gem of downtown Lawrence Kansas. The Bourgeois Pig doubles as both an early morning coffee shop but also a unique and fun drinkery by night. With a rather large inside for its outside appearance it is a good place for a morning meetup or a night time hangout!

Best bartenders in town. The prices are very reasonable, they use top shelf liquor and have premium beers. Friday nights with Casey and Adam as bartenders is my favorite. They always remember you and what you like and how you like it. Best dirty martini I have ever had. Plus you dont have to deal with crazy college students there either. Very nice atmosphere, very nice people, amazing drinks at great prices.

The coffee is excellent. Very smooth. Bartender is skilled and friendly. We tried a stout and a cocktail. The inside makes you feel like youre inside an old European pub. Cool place.

Obviously indifferent staff, rude “regulars”, and a generally unfriendly attitude. Atmosphere seemed vibrant at the time of our visit but everything else was unpleasant. Will not go back and would never recommend to anyone. There are plenty of great bars in Lawrence and I’d strongly suggest trying places other than this one.

The pig is a mainstay for both regulars and irregulars alike. They have a wide variety of cocktails that are made most attentively and sparing no expense. Of course if thats not your thing, the daily cooler beer is a $3 special that cycles through a variety of beers over time.Repetition coffee is integral to the pig experience. Locally roasted and unique in flavor, itd be hard to deny its quality. Order it to your liking, they cover the host of various coffee beverages.

I could never have imagined, at 64 and 210 lbs that I could enjoy such a tiny bar so much. Besides theyre phenomenal bartenders, the establishment represents the community as well as any of us could as for. Perfect spot for midday coffee, or that last couple of rounds 😉😉. I love the 🐖

One of my favorite places to grab a drink in Lawrence. The vibe reminds me of a small shoppe you would find in NYC. Their fair trade coffee is sourced by the owners personally and the tasty alcoholic drinks change seasonally. One of the best Moscow Mules in LFK and a pretty decent craft beer selection.

Hip haven for the criminally ignorant. I was stunned to see the communist hammer and sickle prominently displayed on their t-shirts. The place is dripping with irony and I therefore recommend visiting to get a good laugh. I didn’t see anyone there who looked like they could survive the gulag. I’m sure their professors never had them read Solzhenitsyn or Sakharov. And after all who cares about 100 million murdered as they spend $8 for a beer?

Hands down still my favorite place in LFK even after 14 years. Good java, and good cocktails. Atmosphere is eclectic and warm, and the patrons are generally good natured. Stop in and chat up the bar tender and you will agree immediately.

Best cocktails in Lawrence. Love the atmosphere and people. Hipster place, no undergrads mostly local non-students in here. Not the place for cheap drinks, beer selection or watching a game. New art up fairly often. Small and can get cramped so be prepared to make friends and discuss the state of our society.

Great hang out spot for anybody over 25. They have an awesome outdoor patio area that sits in the Sun so if you go there in the daytime you grab a beer or coffee or whatever and really just enjoy it with your friends.

Quick service and good prices for drinks. Their happy hours are always great and delicious. Totally would recommend it.

I had a nice bartender. The place is small but seems to have a decent selection of speciality drinks. I came for spiked coffee drinks. The drinks I had were well made and definitely strong. But I like it when a bar can actually not be skimpy on alcohol. Clean set up with free WiFi. The prices are also fair. If youre looking for a more low-key and chill environment, then coming here is a must.

This is a great place for cocktails or coffee. There are two outdoor seating areas, small groups can usually find a good place to sit. The pig can be a great place to do homework with the free Wi-Fi, and is open late at night. Staff is helpful and make good drinks. Definitely worth visiting if you like a Moscow Mule.

The staff is friendly and the drinks are well made. The bar has a lot of great choices in every category, from amaro to mezcal and tequila o whisk(e)y. Inside is cozy, but there is plenty of seating on the front patio or the back porch.

A more expensive descendent of places like the catfish, which became the crossing, which was assimilated, then obliterated.Its expensive, yet delicious, an excellent venue for observing humans.
