About: The Friends of the Lawrence Public Library is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that believes a strong library is vital to our community. Through membership dues and legendary book sales, we raise funds to support library collections, programs, and services.Wonderful places. Sales are seasonal. Wild selection of books. The cheapest place to buy book in Lawrence.All hard cover is $2 and paper back is $1. Kids book are $1 for hard copy and board book, 50 cents for paper back. DVD and audio books are also sold here.Always with great volunteers to help and get around.At the back of the Lawrence Public Library. Has a separate entry other than the library.At the lower level of the library has a Friends of Lawrence Public Library section that sells by a honor system. You pick what you want and pay into a locked box. Great books selection there. That places open every day as when the library opens.5 stars place for the family.
