I called this morning to inquire about a road trip inspection and they got me in right away. I am about to drive cross country and the comfort knowing everything has been looked over is well, pretty awesome. The guys were super quick, helpful and straight to the point. I had all of my Ignition coils and spark plugs replaced and was charged $710. I drive a 2008 Prius. A lot of people told me that I was way over charged with what I paid. Besides the amount I paid, they fixed my car. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Went in for an oil change, tire rotation and brake inspection. They came back and told me that my valve cover gasket was leaking and that my seal around the timing chain was leaking as well. I thought it was strange when they told me to was leaking an excessive amount of oil and that both seals failed in less than 5,000 miles. Left with an estimate of over $2,000. Took it to another shop and they could not figure out what Meineke was talking about. It has been over 3,000 miles since my last oil change and the oil level has not dropped at all. I will never go back and recommend that no one else does.

Didn’t fix my issues. Came in saying my engine is over heating on the Highway and my ac squeals sometimes. All they did was do the coolant flush and replace the serpentine belt. They didn’t tighten the belt all the way so I had to drive back to the shop before my battery drained because my alternator wasn’t getting power. Overall they charged me $350 and didn’t fix my issue at all. Nice people though, just not very good mechanics. I’ll rather wait 2 weeks to get a spot at Dougs Automotive than go here again. Again, very nice people, not very good mechanics.

Thought I needed new bearings, they discovered it was a bad tire. While other mechanics told me it would be two weeks before they could look at my car, Meineke was able to get me in the same day and have the issue solved the same day. Very professional and friendly.

Place rips you off. Marks parts up 30-40% and then tries to charge you 6x the labor it should be. Johns unprofessional. Only thing good there are their techs.All they do is extort people.

Just don’t. Stay away from Meineke. I took my van in for an oil change and they told me my bolt was stripped but they got it fixed. I picked up my van and the next oil was all over my driveway. I took it back and they said I need a new oil pan and it would be $600 at a deal price. Your out of your mind. I took it to Westridge wash and lube and Meineke put the wrong plug in my car! He showed me the right one compared to what the put on. They put it in an angle to make it work and it leaked. Westridge wash and lube replaced it with the right one at no charge! I did not need a new oil pan. They try to get money from you. They do not fess up to their mistakes. I had two other places tell them they have fixed Meineke screws up. They are the worst place in town period. I’m so glad I did not let them replace my pan. too bad I lost a on of my oil all over my driveway.

I’ve been here twice and both times the person working the front was super nice. There was even a upset customer before me and he handled it very well. I will definitely be going back to them in the future.

So, I sent my wife in for an oil change and to have the new to us car inspected for problems. What I got was a mechanic who just hooked up the code reader, and said yup all your ignition coils are bad, and stopped there. We wanted the road trip inspection because I know there are a few things wrong that I need to fix, but wanted to know exactly where and what. In the end all they did was what Autozone and most anywhere else does for free, and charged $60.00 to do it.

Traveling from out of state. Needed an oil change. Easily made a same day appointment.Would use Meineke if it was in the area I live.

I left my 96 Jeep Cherokee with your Lawrence shop anticipating a $500 brake repair. Without asking, the staff performed a huge bumper to bumper review of the vehicle. End result was a recommendation for $2600 repair/service for a vehicle worth less than $500. The cost of repair continued to escalate as they kept the vehicle for about 10 days. I was Finally presented a bill for $1700. I was told by Mike that it would “stop on a dime”. I noticed right away after leaving your shop that the brake pedal traveled a long way before engaging. About 3 hours later, while in a service lane, I had no brakes with the pedal held all of the way to the floor. The brake light came on. I decided to take it back to your shop. I called Mike to express my displeasure and to let him know I was on my way. He offered to send a tow truck but I did not have time to waste waiting. I am still waiting to here the details of needed repair.

I have been servicing my car at Meineke for the last 5 years, however, I am not happy with this one at Lawrence, KS. I have a couple of bad experiences here. Last year, I was here to change the windshield wipers and they charged me comparatively higher than its competitors. At that time I ignored it as not a big deal. Last week I was here for an oil change and 23 points inspection. This 23 points inspection is a sham. They did not check the coolant level, which gave me trouble during my travel. They suggested me to change the brake pad and one tire which I did which I guess was not necessary.

John is the best manager I have met ever. He is very professional and explained what needs to do. I visited here twice and whenever I visited and told them about the problems on my car, John and/or other technicians took a test drive to diagnose the problem and let me know what it would be and what to do. Strongly recommend John and other technicians!!!

I always go to these guys for any job I cant handle. Great team, always helpful, and they really talk you through your options so you have the right information before you commit to a repair.

Im sure weve all had a bad experience with a car repair shop at one point...however the experience we had with Mike and the Lawrence KS Meineke shop was outstanding! We were on the road moving from Missouri to Colorado and the A/C went out in our truck.We called several places with no luck. When we told Mike our situation he said bring it in and well take a look. The shop was super busy and yet he managed to multi-task the techs so it didnt impact the waiting customers and fit us in. Have been going here forever 7 yrs. honest mechanics not trying to sell something I don’t need. Only problem I had them put air in tires and check heater. Heater not issue. Appt at 3 got there 2:45 car in 5 mins later. Did not leave until 4:30. Way too long even w/other cars in bays. I made appt to get through quicker so this should have been considered. No one else came in until an hour later one man. Point I may as well have walked in with no appt. reason for appt.

I had Meineke work on my car a month ago and it cost more than I paid for my car. Plus Im still chasing my title for my car, the man who sold my car and his brothers drove the car, but never registered for a plate. I doubt they even had insurance on it. Meineke said they did a front end alimement. It pulls to the right a bit. I have it fully covered and had to pay a couple hundred dollars of my money.

Great experience, dropped in on a Thursday afternoon, they were busy but fit me in still. Waited a while, but imagine this could’ve been avoided with an appointment. Ended up getting the high mileage oil change, which was reasonably priced and included an inspection and rotation. ($10 off coupon online) Super satisfied and will definitely return for future servicing needs.

I took a front wheel hub to have a new bearing pressed in it and they destroyed the new bearing and also damaged the part that the hub is on. The damage caused was so extensive that I had to go purchase a new part.They charged me over $70 to do something that should take less the 15 minutes and destroyed over $150 in parts that I had to purchase due to their incompetence & lack of responsibility.I only used their services because they are the ONLY business open on saturday that provides this type of service.I drove over 30 miles round trip and paid a very over priced fee for very poor workmanship.

Car was running perfectly fine. Was able to take it state to state. Meineke was only suppose to change some parts of my suspension and fix a leaky gasket. On my Receipt, it stated they topped my engine oil. 4 days later, without any large cloud of smoke or any oil leak indications, my car started giving major problems and my oil was gone dry. THEY TOOK THE OIL OUT MY ENGINE AND NEVER REPLACED IT. Now my engine is completely blown and they want to charge me ANOTHER 4000$ to fix. DONT USE THEIR SERVICE. YOU WILL REGRET IT. The Owner doesn’t take responsibility for his workers actions. They only care about the money not about providing good service. Again GO TO ANY AND EVERY OTHER MECHANIC. MEINEKE WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND DESTROY YOUR CAR!!! You’ve been warned!

I brought the car in for a general check. I explained my specific issues with the car with the person checking it in. They told me they found no original problems with the breaks. I took the technician for a drive and I showed him the problem after driving 20 feet. He took another tech in my car to show him. We all agreed there was a problem with the breaks. They asked me to come back the next day when a more qualified tech was there to take a look at my problem. I paid $38 and left.Later I got a text with the complete check up and all of the problems with the car.

They said they had to finish yesterdays work load before they could get to mine. I would not have a problem if they had called the night before or even this morning to let me know to come in later.

The guys at Meineke are good guys. They’re not out to get your money; if they tell you something’s wrong with your vehicle and you should bring it back soon, listen to them. I didn’t and paid the price. I was warned that my brakes needed some work soon and I didn’t listen. My brakes essentially stopped working and I brought my truck back in and they fixed her up in a day. Something else went wrong while they were working on her and offered to continue to work on her at no additional cost.

Rich is awesome and is always super helpful and super great to work with. My car runs better than ever, service was cheap, and when issues arose they took care of em right away.Edit: Had to bring the same car back for two further repairs that still didnt fully fix the issue. Take what you will from that.

Really outstanding service from Meineke. They are so friendly, helpful, and transparent with their pricing for parts and labor. I appreciate their willingness to say, “We could do xyz, but that will cost you an arm and a leg, so we recommend this instead.” I always feel like I’m leaving my vehicle in good hands. The online service summaries are also super helpful, as they clearly explain the type of servicing your car needs in both short-term and long-term.

The experience overall wasn’t bad. It was a little unpleasant. Because, I feel like some of them just really didn’t have much of a personality. And they’re quoting was a little ridiculous. And when I said I would go to someone else they kind of treated me like I didn’t know what I was doing. So will I be going back for the services...no. Never again. I went there because I saw all the good reviews about how they were professional. But at the same time you you can be professional and still have a personality and they lacked personality. My radiator blew on turnpike about 8 miles east of Lawrence Ks. Had it towed to Meineke Car Care on 2535 S. Iowa St. I talked to the owner Breanin, he was professional, courteous, and all business ! He and his master mechanics, had my old radiator out and replaced, flushed the cooling system, recharged my my air, which needed it, and was done by 5:30 pm. Outstanding job ! Couldnt had a better place than Meineke Car Care doing the job !!! Thanks Breanin & mechanics

Great quick service. Took care of exactly what I needed and nicely informed me of other maintenance that I am going to need in the future. Brendan, the store owner and manager, took the time to have a conversation with me while I was waiting for my vehicle to be worked on. This is my go to place for vehicle maintenance for these reasons, plus you can’t change your own oil at home for the price they offer their oil change specials at!

Horrible service. Left my girlfriends car window down for 3 days. She had to work and couldn’t pick it up. Then she got charged 30$ extra then what was previously quoted for a battery install, along with a huge oil stain and her light cloth seats. The people were unprofessional and I wouldn’t take your car here if you actually care about it. Only reason we did was we had purchased a new battery and they were the only ones that would install it. Otherwise avoid at all costs.

Went in for a $34.95 oil change and tire rotation with an added charge of $4 for one extra quart. Somehow the end result was a $55.00 bill. I was told the tires were rotate and the fluids were topped off and they werent.

Wow.. Never have a been to a place where the people working there really cared about you and your car. The mechanic Jeremy was always really good to me. There was a front desk guy who was completely understanding, listened and help me through my car giving me problems. They will tell you the truth about your car and help people out with full effort for the best customer service. Thank you so much for all you guys did to look out for me. Will keep coming back.. I’ve gone here both times I was having issues with my car and they’ve never failed to do an impeccable job, in a timely manner. The pricing isn’t ridiculous, they don’t try to run up your bill, and they do not pressure you into getting anything done you’re not wanting. As long as I’m in Lawrence; I’ll be coming here for car services.

Every time I come in, the service is quick and painless. The owner is always friendly and gives me quality for my money.In addition to the above,the management has changed hands a couple of times, which is no big deal. But I did have an unfortunate experience with a previous manager where I asked for my tail light to be checked due to me being pulled over previously. They checked them for me and said that the bulb was not out. And of course, less than a week later I was pulled over and issued a ticket for the offense. I mentioned the situation to the “newest” manager who apologized for the scenario but did not issue me a discount or anything of the sort which I thought I was deserving of due to my repeated business there.

My family and I were driving across the country and needed quick service for our Subaru. This shop was great! Everything needed was explained clearly and competently.

Went in for a simple oil change and left with a oil change package because they “aren’t able to do the oil change without the package” totaling $86 all together.Was also quoted $25 on the phone the night before.Save your time and money and go somewhere else.

Clean place for being a mechanics stop. They have coffee (free - Kuerig) and theres a snack machine. Bathroom is very clean, nice! TV in waiting area. Sam, owner, is proficient and professional, with all vehicles. Its worth not having your auto break down on you, so go in get your auto checked out. You wont regret it.

I went there to have my AC fixed. Was upfront that I dont have a lot of money and after they inspected it for free, I saved up $635 to have my ac fixed. Rich assured me that would fix the problem to have a board replaced. Made an appointment for Saturday morning, even got a ride home and picked up again. Sounds all great so far, right? Well then the same day in the evening my AC didnt work again. Had to wait until I could go back in, which was Friday afternoon. The guy who was there said theyll check it. I was under time pressure and told him if I need to be back another time I will. However, he said they couldnt find the problem and I need to come back next day at 8 am. Went there back the next day and got a ride home. I already told them you said the problem would be fixed after the first repair, please dont charge me more and just fix it. Hoping theyd decide to NOT screw me over. Well, got a call from Rich and telling me something about a drivers side module not working and causing the board to fry/malfunction. Why was this overlooked the first time? Now they want an additional $250+ from me. I am driving with my kids in this heat with no working AC, lost all the savings I had... Im frustrated. Left a voice message for the owner, hoping to get this resolved. I just want my ac to work. Or my money back. Please just fix it or reimburse me, but dont let me standing like this.Update: this has never been resolved by Meineke. Lost $600+ on them. Took my car to Kia and they fixed it instantly for way less than $250. Stay away if you can!

Oil change took FOREVER. The MANAGER was extremely rude. His name is Brandon. And they try to make it seem like everything under the sun the could possibly be wrong a car is what is wrong with yours! Don’t go there cause the oil change price is DEFINITELY not what they are advertising.
