Everyone has a horror story about a dealership. This is not one. Jarell was super helpful and answered all my questions and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere throughout the deal. I was in and out of there in a timely fashion, and any concerns I had with my new purchase have already been taken care of.I would definitely recommend them to friends and family!

I worked with Yusuf, he was awesome! This is the least pushy dealership Ive ever been in and I used to work at car dealerships. They asked me what I wanted and showed me only that car, they didnt try to push me into anything else. And the finance manager that I worked with was also great, they computer kept messing up and I work 3ed shift (overnights) and they wanted me out and in my new car as fast as possible because I hadnt slept. It took a bit longer because the computer system but amazing! I think the only thing I was kinda sad about is I didnt get a tank of gas, I had to go and fill it up right after I bought it.

I cannot speak more highly about the staff at McCarthy Subaru, specifically Kyle in sales and EJ in finance. They were knowledgeable, worked with my needs, and were quick to respond via text or email. I did NOT have time to sit at a dealership for 8 hours going through the standard process. They understood this and did a lot of the preliminary paperwork over email. I was able to stop on my lunch break, take a test drive, fill out some paperwork and then returned after work, signed a few more things and left in my new car! It could not have been easier. Excellent friendly staff! Easy quick buying process. The reasons for 4 stars and not 5, website pictures or should I say picture of the vehicle were different colors than the one in stock. I drove 50 miles to find out that the car and color that I wanted to look at was not in their inventory. Luckily the had a car with the options I wanted with a different color which I also liked, please keep your website updated with more than one picture. That matches the car on hand. Car was not cleaned to my expectations windows were still dirty.The salesman Kyle was very knowledgeable when answering questions, he made it a pleasant experience.

I had the best experience of purchasing my 2018 Subaru Forester here! I called beforehand to set up an appointment, and they were able to have the car I was looking at ready to go for me when I got there. Kyle and Andrew, and everyone else who helped there, did an amazing job with making me feel comfortable with my decisions. There was no pressure, and I was able to walk away with a great deal and an amazing car. Although they are a Subaru dealership they went above and beyond to locate the exact vehicle I was looking for and get it from Olathe the same day! Would strongly advise a different dealership.Problem One:  Went to get an oil change and, while they were at it, wanted them to install a Fumoto valve for when the extended warranty ran out and I started changing the oil myself.  Service adviser told me outright that Fumoto valves dont work good on Subarus.  Yes, he actually said that---a valve of the highest quality and reputation since 1976 dont work good with Subarus.  So now I am suspicious.Problem Two:  Since I am now leary, the next time it was due for a change I take it to a place I know and trust for an oil change and to replace the oil plug with the Fumoto.  The oil plug wont come out (ya know, the one that is so much better/trustworthy than the Fumoto).  Not stubborn or overtightened a little---simply wont budge to the point that the pan caved before the plug broke loose.  I called McCarthy and, to their credit, they had it towed, replaced the oil pan and did the oil change all for free.  It was the right thing for them to do but I never received an apology, call from a manager, or attempted explanation.  What I did receive was a coupon for two free oil changes.  Thats right, McCarthys way of making it right was to offer me two free oil changes---the same kind of service that landed me in this mess to begin with.Problem Three:  Ties directly to Problem Two.  I go to pick up my Subaru after Problem Two debacle.  What do I find all over my blond colored interior?  You guessed it......black grease!!!  And I dont mean a little black grease....I mean the seat, the console, the door, the steering wheel, and even the visor!!  Their solution---I know you want me to say a full detail with comprehensive shampooing and protectant application--that did not happen.  They carelessly spot-cleaned it....missing more than one spot.  By this time, I am done with McCarthy---I took my Subaru and left.Problem Four:  Comes time for a tire rotation which usually happens with my oil changes at McCarthy.  Since I no longer trust them, I take it to a place I do trust and, surprise surprise, McCarthy has cross threaded one of the lug nuts on one of the wheels---ruining it and, since I have wheel spacers, necessitating a new spacer/lug studs.  I call McCarthy, explain the situation---their solution--bring it in here so we can have a look.  What?  Can you not visualize what a cross threaded lug stud looks like?  I tell McCarthy I no longer trust them with my vehicle and I would simply like to be reimbursed for the cost of a new wheel spacer.  Service adviser assured me a manager would contact me quickly....as of today, I am still waiting on that phone call.Bottom line---I would sooner ride a camel to a Subaru dealership in Maine than to ever give McCarthy any more business.

While the hunt for my title and extended warranty left a sour taste in my mouth, Jerry has been a pillar of customer service throughout this whole ordeal. After several months of looking for a good used car at just about every dealership near our home we finally found one at McCarthy Subaru. This was going to be a road trip! We made the 7 1/2 hour drive (one way) to pick it up and we could NOT have had a better experience. Jarell Schroeder helped us over the phone and through text messages. I can honestly say after all of the searching for a car it was worth the drive not only for the pleasant experience with everyone at the dealership but how quick and efficient they handled the paper work so we could get back on the road to home. I would make that drive again to buy a car from Jarell because there aren’t nearly enough honest reliable car dealerships or sales people that have given me as pleasant of an experience.

I called Lee’s summit Subaru, van Subaru, olathe Subaru, and McCarthy Subaru of Lawrence. Van and Lee’s summit didn’t even want to talk to me about prices over the phone for my trade in unless I was there. McCarthy gave a very competitive offer that was 2,000 over olathe, olathe matched the trade in but wouldn’t match the discount on my new vehicle as well. Not only that, they even gave me more discounts to keep my mind at ease so I didn’t attempt to go elsewhere. Overall a good experience, I already knew what I wanted and owned over a dozen subarus in my life already. This is my first one buying brand new and I’ll definitely be giving McCarthy the first shot at my next new car in the future.

We were driving cross country from South Carolina to California and got in a wreck outside of Lawence. McCarthy Suburu helped us trade in our Crosstrek and buy a used Forester. They were so kind and accommodating through the whole process. For example, we didn’t have the title of the Crosstrek and they are allowing us to mail it to them after we arrive in California. We drove 56 miles after calling to see a particular car. It was not there. Jerry Jordan went out of his way to let us test drive another and offered to deliver the ad vehicle to our doorstep days later. The ad vehicle quickly showed up at the dealership and we found the odometer was 20,000 miles higher than what was advertised so that became a no-go. Jerry worked his magic and let us test drive another car and proposed an offer for that car. We accepted. In short, the dealership had some procedural slip-ups or miscommunications but Jerry countered them all with prompt, decisive action. Our adventure to seek out a new used car turned out to be productive and exceeded our expectations with the 2018 Forester Premium.

I was looking to test a specific vehicle that I found on their website only to find out that the vehicle was not in house; the way they market is by placing pictures of vehicles through out the region, which was a little confusing, but Kyle C. offered to go get the vehicle and have it ready for us to test drive the next day. The next day, I test drove the vehicle, and Kyle worked with me on pricing scenarios. After seeing that the vehicle price was out of my reach, Kyle and current Manager Tim worked magic on the phones to assist me in reducing my monthly payment and interest rate. Even then, still realizing the payment was out of my reach, Tim worked with me to make sure I walked out with a comfortable price range, and Kyle realized my dream of this car having all weathered mats. Had to edit my post because honestly it was a bit premature of making a review…..Process was easy and smooth... my sales guy and finance guy I dealt with were ok and made things happen minus trying to charge me for an issue on the vehicle in which the repair is actually a factory warranty recall . Then after the sale it went down hill. We have had to go back three time now because they failed to get previous owners paperwork filled out correctly and then they didn’t complete their own paperwork correctly… which has cause us to be unable to tag our vehicle. This is the most unprofessional and ill ran dealership I have dealt with. Communication between themselves and also between them and us is horrible.

There were some additions to the cost that for the most part we were able to negotiate down or out. My only real reservation was the $999 McCarthy add for materials that neither needed nor wanted but understand that it is a business. Again everyone was very very helpful and pleasant. Chad is a great service manager and I really appreciate his honesty and willingness to help keep our cars running and long-lasting.I have had a good experience with the dealership thanks to Kyle and his supportive work for me.Marion Roberts

I actually went here to look at a car for my son and ended up buying myself a new Forester . Not only do I love my new car. I loved the service I received from Jerry Jordan. Hes a Great salesman. He really knows and explains everything about the vehicle and another thing thats important (for me) is that he was not a pushy salesman.

Jarrell is the best. He’s not pushy and really makes you feel at ease. I just purchased my second Outback from him. I’ve historically hated stepping on dealership lots and still do, but he makes it so much easier! Thanks J!

Our salespeople Jarrell and EJ were excellent. We negotiated with EJ over the phone and Jarrell helped us with all our questions and concerns when we got to the dealership. My wife and I drove up from Oklahoma because they were the one Subaru dealership (out of the four we tried) that went out of their way to earn our business. They found the exact trim and color Forester we were looking for and had it shipped in free of charge. When we arrived, it was clean and ready for us. The excellent service we received made the four hour drive worthwhile. This was by far the best experience we have had purchasing a vehicle.

Great Service from Sales to finance to explaining the technology in my vehicle. Went in with exactly what I wanted and what I could afford. They did not pressure me outside of my comfort zone. Found what I wanted. Explained everything to me and over the phone to my husband who is away in training. Very patient with me and my daughter. Even moved everything over from my previous Subaru for me and installed my carset correctly for me. Answered all my questions and have kept me my business for sure!
