Took him a 305 block and heads to be hot tanked, before dropping them off I powerwashed the majority of the gunk off and checked for any major flaws, cracks, ect, and didnt find any. I took the block to be hot tanked mainly to clean the interior of the block. I dropped my motor off and he did it for $100 I felt that was a fair price. Upon pickup of my block and heads I noticed that it was poorly done, I still had clumps of oil on the exterior of the motor and leftover permatex where the head gaskets go. I wasnt happy but I figured whatever Ill clean it better when I get home. FINALLY after loading it in the truck I notice a crack nearly 4.5 inches long running down the side of my block, I am 100% certain wasnt there when I dropped my block off to him the previous week. I dont know if he damaged it and didnt want to confess or what. The guy seems nice, he did give me $40 back but that doesnt even come close to being enough for me to get another block. I will never take anything to him again.
