I brought my 2020 Honda Civic here to fixedFirst time was 11/4/2021 cost $547.000 reason they said are RODENTS DAMAGED cause the steering wheel locked and all the light inside were on . After fixed it still happens off and on . I brought it back they said the same things I denial to fixed it but still charged me for the diagnosis +$100. I don’t think this place fixed or do any thing to it, this is a brand new car I just bought. This is a rip-off place, beware of this place guys

We reside in Wichita, Kansas but decided to buy from Dale Willey Honda in Lawrence, Kansas because we had a great experience with the sales people (unlike Scholfield Honda in Wichita). Allison James (sales) was really helpful and David Chung (sales manager) was very pleasant to deal with. David and I had exchanged a few emails and phone calls and agreed on a price before we left home. Once the negotiation was completed it was smooth sailing from there. We showed up to pick up our vehicle and it was already pulled up to the front of the dealership and the paperwork was ready for us to add our information, review and sign.Overall our experience was great and we will definitely go back and we would also recommend Dale Willey dealership to a friend or a family member.

Never come too this Honda dealership to get your car serviced. They are very unprofessional and disrespectful, Nate that works in the service area has no respect for customers and has no business working in customer service. I brought my car there to look at the tires and first they told me the repairs would be $230 today and after an hour an a half of having my car there I go back just for them to tell me there’s more wrong with the censors on my tires and that it will be $650 to repair after they told me Friday that they knew exactly what was wrong and they would be fixing it today . They not only damaged the screen in my dash but they took something valuable from my car and refused to tell me what happen or who messed with it as they continued to laughing in my face about it . I told them I would not be paying for the damages and I did not appreciate getting ripped off by them and so the manager of the service area told me to leave or he would be calling the police. I definitely do not recommend you get you’re car services here unless you wanna be scammed and taken of vantage of.

I have purchased many vehicles over the years, but until a few weeks ago when I bought my 2021 Honda EXL from Allison James at Dale Willey Honda, I hadnt purchased a new vehicle for more than two decades. From start to finish, it was a wonderful experience. It took time to make a final decision on which car was best for me, but Allison was with me all the way. If she secretly wished I was capable of making faster decisions, I never sensed it. She was very knowledgeable, kind, friendly and transparent in all her dealings with me. Im delighted I chose Dale Willey Honda and Allison James. Allison turned a car buying experience that I was not particularly looking forward to into something very close to a joy. Never again will I take my car to them for service. Several times in the past, they have charged me for tire alignments without consulting me or telling me that they were being done. I let it slide.But this week, I took it in because my tires were unbalanced and I was in a rush. They tried to charge me $800 for repairs and told me I also needed all new tires because my tires were unable to be rebalanced. Luckily, I have a family mechanic out of town that has been servicing my car for years so I took it to him after paying the $100 diagnostic fee to pick it up from Dale Willey. He said he didnt think the technician even actually looked at my car based on what he found.This dealership cost me money, time, and sanity. It takes advantage of desperate car owners, especially young women, all so they can make a commission. Absolutely despicable.Dont make the same mistake that I did. Take your car to a AAA approved shop instead.

We have spent hours and hours on this dealership. Everyone is nice. But their business tactics is total rip off. Try to stay away from Monty and David if at all you decide to go to this dealership. I would suggest going to Jay Wolfe or Honda at Legends which is basically just 40 min drive away.Story: We wanted to give our car away which was on lease and pay the difference in value using KBB value for a good car. The difference was only 1k and the car had just one scratch. Based on this they argued for almost 4 to 5 hours explaining how KBB works and try to manipulate how the customer is totally wrong. The process went on for almost 6 hours. Kept increasing the price and landed at almost 4.8k as difference. We walked off and went to Honda at Legends and the entire process took 5 mins and we walked off with a difference of 2k. Basically we saved 2.8k for just traveling 40 mins. Imagine how much you can save on higher value car. Total rip off.

I went to three different Honda dealerships when searching for my next vehicle and I had the best experience at Dale Willey Honda. All team members were attentive and I was helped as soon as I walked in the door. During my test drive I was able to get all my questions about the different buttons answered and I learned a lot about the Honda CRV in general. Upon purchase, the team worked with me so I was able to get the trade in value I wanted. The main reason I am giving a 4 star rather than a 5 star is because it took a while for finance to be available and I felt like I was sitting around doing nothing for a while (this may be common at all dealerships), but once I did go back with finance the process was smooth and all my files were handed to me on a flash drive which I thought was convenient! . All in all I had a great experience and I love my new vehicle :)

This place is great if you want to waste time, not have things fixed properly, and not have things put back on/together potentially causing other problems.While doing routine maintenance, Found that parts were not put back on my vehicle but tucked into cavities.Removed and presumably discarded my cabin air filter and left it empty.Was told the original issue -loud hot ac- was because of blower motor (replaced) that filter (which didnt make sense). Shockingly, the cabin filter or its removal didnt fix it. Sharp Honda Topeka found that there was actually a leak in the condenser which is why the problem got progressively worse.In summary, the issue wasnt fixed and they didnt even put the car back together right.

Massive facility for servicing and a showroom with multiple vehicles inside for viewing all while having a temperature controlled environment while you wait for your vehicle. I purchased a Honda HR-V on 12/12/20 and I had a terrific experience. I worked with Tim and he was absolutely fantastic. Professional, knowledgeable, easy-going, and friendly--Tim made the sale really easy, from start to finish. Never once did I feel pressured or unsure about what I was buying. I think thats incredibly important because car-buying is often seen as an overall unpleasant experience. People worry theyll get steamrolled by intimidation tactics. Maybe tricked into buying a lemon, or go in wanting to pay X amount and get hoodwinked into buying something way out of their budget. This is not that. The entire staff is pleasant and helpful, and have a well-earned reputation.Does it take a long time for the process? Yes. But youre buying a vehicle, not fast food. Its a purchase that will likely cost thousands of dollars; it SHOULD take some time.I couldnt recommend them enough. Thanks a bunch guys, really. I love my new car!

Usually serviced vehicles at Olathe Honda but we live closer to Lawrence and decided to give them a try for an oil change. Had the whole family with me and was due for the big Sym 4 service. Told attendant first time there and that we were going to push the 4 service until next time and that we needed an oil change this time. I asked if they matched competes coupons and the service advisor said they did not. I was amazed they didn’t and they did not want to retain the business of a first time customer due for a 1600-1800 dollar service. This was this morning at approximately 10:20.

On 6 May 2021, My husband I showed up late in the day just as Sales Consultant Tim Eastman was walking out the door to head home. Instead, he happily stuck around while we test drove three different pre-owned vehicles. We bought the third vehicle we drove, a 2018 Toyota RAV4. Although we didnt plan on purchasing a vehicle that day, it was too good of a deal to pass up. Tim and David Chung stayed late to assess our trade and get the purchase agreement together. In late February my family bought a used car from Dale Willey Honda. The sales person we worked with Thomas and his sales manager assured us multiple times that the car was extremely well maintained. It also came with a 30 day warranty. Sounds great – HOWEVER – two weeks into driving the car it became clear that there was something wrong with the brakes. When we took it back to have it looked at, their repair people said the brakes need to be replaced. One would think that this would be covered by the 30 day warranty, but now we were being told by the sales manager that it is not covered and they refused to do anything about it. After some back-and-forth, they did offer us 10% off the cost of repair – which is a joke. I feel that I was miss lead by the sales team on the warranty since they never did say that the it ONLY covers the powertrain. Since this post Brian from the Management Team has reached out and we did have a nice talk about what could be done better for future sales at his dealerships.

As a very long time Honda customer, exclusively purchasing Honda vehicles, I stopped by the Dale Willey Honda Service Department. I asked one of the team members if they had any knowledge of how to replace the backside spark plugs of a 2012 Honda Civic Hybrid. Primarily, I wanted to know what part needed to be removed so the length of the ignition coil could clear the coil cylinder. I was not interested in a step-by-step or detailed description of how to do it! The customer service I received was two Service Department team members losing their demeanor, being defensive, each saying, I dont work on cars, our mechanics do that!One Service Department associate said emphatically, That our mechanics get paid for that information!!! As if it were some type of trade-secret!!! I clarified my request and then asked that if one of their mechanics had a free moment, maybe they could provide a simple 30-second explanation. At this point, the parts team member stepped in and replied that he had access to an online service manual that explained in detail how to replace the spark plugs. He was kind enough to print the 3-page document, which was nothing more than a simple diagram of the ignition coil assembly and the spark plugs locations. The description lacked an explanation of how, or the removal of the parts requiring removal, so the backside ignition coil would clear the ignition coil tube. While his attempt to help me was appreciated, it was of no use; it was the gesture that counted. Still, his angry demeanor showed that he was helping me, just so I would stop asking why, as being a very long time customer, that I couldnt ask a simple question of one of their mechanics in their free time.What Ive described is an example of How to lose a repeated, longtime, and loyal customer! And, considering that tomorrow, I have an appointment to have new tires mounted and balanced on the vehicle just referenced, it may be the last time I have my Honda serviced at Dale Willey Honda!!!

Came in for a routine tire rotation and oil change. After completing the tire rotation, the employee informs me that I had a nail in one of my tires and to repair it, it will cost $50 and 40 more minutes of my time. Other places around town cost about $30 for this same service. When asked why the price was so high, I was informed it was based on labor. You pay the labor for them to remove the tire once again, in order for them to patch the tire. I would have thought they would have noticed a nail in my tire during the rotation and not after. Would not recommend tire repair service to be done here.

Ignoring the state of the reconstruction that is not reflected in the web site photos, I went in to the somewhat open service bay wearing my KN95 only to be closely greeted by a service manager without a mask. I asked why it is up to customers to protect themselves and that I pointed out my wearing a mask protects him but because he was not wearing a mask he was putting all customers and work associates at risk. He said they don’t all have to wear them. Sorry but this is not excusable. My wife had a cloth mask which would not protect her from his lack of care so she left. Customers need to beware. No one there that I saw working was wearing a mask. Distance did not compensate as we did business with no barrier and with a few feet of each other. To be fair but not to give them a pass, I find this behavior is widespread at local businesses.

Their service dept is a joke. Bought a brand new Fit from this dealership, and after 110k, spent $3k on new injectors timing belts etc... The car still didnt run correctly and they said they couldnt do anything and gave us a recommendation for some motor honey. This place is a racket, and they will take advantage of women. Do NOT buy a used vehicle from Dale Willey Honda. I purchased a used Maserati with 8k miles that I was told was in new condition. I picked the car up on 11/9 and noticed no issues. Exactly one week later I noticed the driver’s seat had a tear in the leather that someone had covered up with a patch. I took the vehicle to the local Maserati dealership who confirmed it had recently been patched and only after the seat was repeatedly used would it start to show. I immediately contacted Chris at Dale Willey who claimed they did not cause the damage, it was the former owner, and they would not assist with the repair cost. Be warned if you buy from this dealership, you are basically buying “as is” as customer service is not a priority. Could they have made things right and assisted with even part of the bill? Absolutely, but they refused. Now I am stuck with a $1,500 bill to replace the seat on a vehicle that I just purchased. Take your money and run to one of the other ethical dealerships out there that stand behind their cars.

Average. We bought a used vehicle from them. We knew what we wanted when we walked in so the salesperson’s role was minimal, with that being said I wasn’t impressed with him and wouldn’t chose to work with him again. The sales manager (Barry) ended up having to do a lot of the leg work on our deal, and I will say he was great to work with. It was a frustrating transaction for all involved (surprise issues with the vehicle) but he kept his composure and held up Dale Willey’s end of the deal. I won’t say I wouldn’t buy from this dealer again, but they wouldn’t be my first choice either.

As a loyal customer for over 10 years and someone who is on the email list, I was surprised about the lack of communication when Jack Elena Honda changed ownership and became Dale Willey Honda. We have purchased 4 vehicles and had them all routinely serviced at the dealership because of the value and wonderful customer care. Although I saw familiar faces in the service department, I was shocked to find prices had increased and coupons/loyalty points were not being honored. My son remembers Dale Willey presenting on entrepreneurship at his school. His remark was “I thought being good to your customers was part of building a business and ensuring people come back. Guess that’s something he teaches but doesn’t actually do.” Looks like I will need to find a mechanic for service and repairs from here on forward because we won’t be able to continue bringing our vehicles to this dealership.

I bought my car in April, by May the rotors were warped and pulsating. They would not fix them saying that I drove 7000 miles and because of that its my fault the rotors are bad. Rotors average expectancy on life are 30,000 to 70,000 miles if not more. This is sad that someone who spent such big money on a car that they cant simply fix a $200 fix. The customer service was not helpful at all and they got mad at me for coming in and telling them about the problem. Plus you do get hit with a lot of hidden fees when you checkout. I bought a car for 12,000 and by checkout the total was 15,000. Not to mention the other 300 I had to pay to register the car. Would not recommend this place and will never buy here again. Sacrificing service to save a dollar just lost them a couple of thousands from me. Thanks Honda for nothing.

Do not expect customer service here.As a Google guide I take my reviews seriously and try to give fair ratings. I give Elena Honda a 3 star rating which I consider average. Car dealerships are notorious for no customer service after the sales. My wife bought a certified used car from Elena Honda. On the way home she heard a noise she hadnt noticed on the test drives. Before she even made it home, she called and wanted to return it. They replied that all sales are final, but they were willing to work with her on this issue. They did have her bring it in for a test drive with a mechanic. She didnt feel like they took her seriously (because she is a woman). They have been cordial, but it is clear that they do not intend to fix (6 test drives so far) the issue. They did fix a couple things that should have been detected in the 182 point inspection (thats another story!). The main issue still persists after quite a few trips in two months. My recommendation to other buyers is that Honda makes a good product and you will probably be okay with a used Honda from here. Do not expect customer service here.

My appointment was scheduled at 3 pm 12/27/17, I was running behind so I called to let them know. They understood & told me not to worry to bring my car up when I get there. The employees here are always nice & friendly. I even enjoyed a nice hot cup of cocoa w/a chocolate chip cookie. These people really know how to serve their clients with a smile. Jack Ellena Honda stands behind their product. We had a problem with our transaction about 10 months after our purchase. Even though they didnt do anything illegal during the transaction, they presented us with an upfront and fair remedy to our situation. They agreed to purchase the vehicle back from us, and I would recommend them to anyone who is in the market to purchase a vehicle. John, the owner, is an outstanding person and businessman. He personally corresponded with us during our problem, and presented a fair buyout option. I will, if they want to do business with us in the future, shop there again. I am very impressed with their customer service, and I would be confident that anyone who shops at their store will receive a fair deal. We cant forget, they are not in business to break even. They are a business to make money, as well they should be! Thats what keeps capitalism alive and our countrys economy growing. These people are fair and honest. Just do a minimal amount of research on your purchase, and you will come out smelling like a rose. They are good home town people, and I hope our previous transaction wont tarnish any future dealings I hope to have down the road. A+ for the service department. Dennis takes care of us every time. I never feel like Im being up-sold and he always helps prioritize what maintenance should be done. Lori is Wonder Woman. Shes great at keeping us in the loop and has even gone out of her way to send text updates when we were in meetings. Bought a used car from Dale Willey in November 2019. This car was a well maintained trade in. Dale Willey did little to clean it up and asked top dollar for its resale. After a negotiation we settled on a price and bought the car. Shortly after we bought car the check engine light came on. I retrieved the codes from the computer and it indicated that the Catylitic Converter was bad. I have talked to the previous owner and they told me the check engine light was on for several months before they traded it in. So Dale Willey disconnected the battery which erased any history on the computer and intentionally concealed the information to us. Would never do business with them again.

The dealership contacted us that they had taken delivery of a new Honda Accord hybrid and invited us to view it on Monday, Memorial Day. That was convenient for us and we liked the car. Although we were not quite ready to buy a new car, they called on Tuesday with an offer too good to refuse. We bought it later that day. Our salesperson, Marc, has just been excellent! Needless to say, I was prepared to recognize when being swindled; however, Marc and the entire staff were more than professional, helpful, honest, and trustworthy. Not once did I feel like I wasnt being furnished the best deal that tailored to my needs and wants. I had a lot of questions, and was very apprehensive about leases because of their reputation. He explained them to me and put my mind and ease about them, and we determined that that would be the most viable option for me, and before I knew it we were inside doing the necessaries to get the ball rolling on buying a car. Went in for an oil change without an appointment. Thirty minutes later I was back out on the road. I enjoyed a hot tea and a muffin while I had waited. Jack Ellena, Monte Lala and “Coop” are now part of the family. Best car purchase experience we have had. We are definitely on a budget and they were willing to work with us to get us into the car we wanted. Coming from KC metro we were thankful that their hours allowed us to work a full day and still make it to Lawrence to test drive the car. Terrible experience there yesterday with Michael Voss! Our salesman was great, Michael not at all! We left there and went down the road to Crown Toyota for a wonderful experience - once again! I came in after getting a flat tire from driving head on into a pothole while heading to class. I drove very carefully (10 mph) down the road to Jack Ellena Honda. All of their appointments were booked but the man (I wish I could remember his name) I spoke to was very polite and was more than happy to help me out. I had class later that day as well, so I asked him if there was any way I could have it back within the next few hours, to which he assured me it would be done. They even provided me with a few shuttle to and from my apartment so I could come back for my car when it was done. The man provided me with the cheapest estimate he could find.I’m very pleased with my experience at Jack Ellena Honda and I’m grateful they were willing to help me despite having a busy schedule already. I got my car back with the brand new tire within the next three hours and made it to the rest of my classes for the day!

James Weatherford aka Chef James is a great Sales Consultant. He made buying my CR-V an enjoyable experience. He is very honest and made my needs a priority during our whole visit. He explained all the features of my new vehicle and even went above and beyond by helping me program the radio presets and syncing my phonebook to the car. He never made me feel like just a number like some other car dealerships do. I was also impressed with the finance team and the sales manager. When it is time for another car I will go to Jack Ellena Honda first.
