To keep the details shorts, the night time road side assistance manager that works at this location needs to be fired. They are completely incompetent and left me stranded in the uhaul parking lot with a defective trailer. In the end I had to use a car jack to take the trailer off myself.Again, please fire the night time manager for road side assistance. She is an excuse making, non-critical thinker, who values telling people there is nothing she can do. Completely incompetent.

I had a hitch installed here. I set the appointment up online. Everything went smoothly, no issues. I worked with Kim who was friendly and professional. It took them about an hour for a regular hitch installation, no electrical wiring. Installation looks good and seems secure.

I had an appointment today at 12pm to get some wiring done for a hitch. First when I walked in at 11:45 am I walked up to the counter and the gentleman was so rude that he could not even acknowledge that I was standing there. 15 minutes later he finally asked what I was there for and I told him. He asked for my keys and asked for my phone number since he said his system was done. Never did he ask what I was there for or what car was mine. I finally told him and he just looked at me and said okay. When making the appointment they told me an 1:30 to 2 hours. 4 hours later I never heard anything so I decided to drive over there to see what was going on considering they close at 5 and it was 4 now. When I walked in the same guy greeted me and he had no idea what I was there for. When I told him he started getting all my credit card info and telling me he didn’t know what the cost was but yet he is taking my card info. He said the mechanic would tell me when he comes in. Okay the mechanic comes in and tells me we are going to have to reschedule because he never got to it today!!! I asked them what the point of an appointment was and no one could answer me. When I told him I wanted my keys and I wanted all my information that he wrote down ( credit card number, email, address etc) since his system was down for the credit card. We refused to give me the information and told me there was nothing he could do. This place is the worst place I have ever been. I will never go back and they all should be punished buy the owner. I will tel everyone I know how U-Haul is the worst company and not to use them ever.

The guy at the front desk was impolite, unhelpful and had a disrespectful attitude. I would prefer not to interact with such a horrible person as a costumer again . The other guy at the front desk was not wearing a mask, so feel free to walk in to this store if you would like to get COVID.The truck was clean and working fine.

If you just need to rent a truck, van, or trailer, Im sure they are fine. However, I am basing my review on getting a hitch installed on my car.Employees were nice, professional, and courteous but this was the first time Ive been disappointed by a U-Haul location across the country - and Im in my 40s with plenty of experience with disappointment.First, it took nearly 50 days to get a hitch delivered for installation.Then, during the (relatively quick) install, they didnt disclose they would need to cut into the rear bumper - nor that the cut would be noticeable.At this point, Im not thrilled with the delays or the outcome.

Not worth saving the money, pay a little more for Budget.A MONTH AGO I reserve my truck for today at 6am. Yesterday they decide to tell me it will be ready at 10am!! If you’ve moved before you know movers are not cheap and you cannot cancel last minute! After spending half the day on the phone with Uhaul, they have me drive AN HOUR to this Laurel location for the only truck that they had so I can have at 6am. Even get my confirmation for 6am. Until I get here and I’m told it’s not ready and I have to wait for the office to open. When they finally open I was told yea we can’t have that truck overnight SO WHY DID YOU MAKE ME DRIVE IN IF YOU KNEW IT WOULDN’T BE READY! Customer service couldn’t even care about how much this is going to cost me in gas and overtime for the movers.

Please safe yourself lot of headaches and DO NOT RENT FROM THIS LOCATION. I rent here regularly but yesterday, I experienced the worst customer service ever, they charged me $20 because I didnt check out, this is just stealing by trick, I rented the van for 6 hrs but only used it for 4hrs, no issue with the truck but my sin was because I dropped the key inside the dropped box as noted and for that they charges 20$.

Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had out of the 20+ moves I have done. The vehicle issued to me was stuck behind multiple vehicles so halfway through the inspection they give me another set of keys because it would be “too difficult” to get the first vehicle out. The second vehicle issued to me came with no inspection or even a way to verify any markings.Then when returning. I followed the steps exactly as I should with the online after hours feature. Kept getting multiple error messages. After calling into big uhaul they told me to reschedule at my charge.Absolutely unacceptable and definitely not a way to do business.

They were unwilling to fill my propane tank till 10am. No hours are posted on Google nor at the tank. After waiting for 2 doorbell rings and ignored I let them know I was there only to be told come back at 10am 3 hours later.

Whenever our company needs an extra truck this is the first place we check. The customer service is on point, they have a massive selection of trucks, and the best general manager weve seen at any uhaul location (Ms. Kim). The parking does suck, its true, but worth the stress free service. Thanks

Went there with a buddy to pick up a rental truck he had scheduled about a month ago. There were no less then 30 people in line waiting to either drop off or pick up vehicles. The line of cars extended out of the parking lot and on to Route 1. Meanwhile they had one person behind the counter bringing people up. While I recognize this was the height of the back-to-school season, thats no excuse for not having extra staff in what you know is going to be a busy season. After standing in line for a half hour and not moving an inch, we cancel our reservation over the phone with the U-Haul corporate office and made alternate plans.

I have to say this truck rental is the best I have ever experienced. The truck I rented was literally just returned before I picked it up, so it had not been properly updated in the system. Therefore, the mileage and fuel level was not correct on the contract. After speaking to several employees explaining the situation, the final bill was adjusted. They were understanding and patient with me, as I just moved and was a bit stressed. I definitely recommend this location to anyone renting a truck in the area.

I got a hitch installed for my Camry and the installation was done well before the time that I was told over the phone. The guy who installed it even called and left me a message that the car was ready for pick up. So I thought the service was very good in that aspect. I did need the wiring installed, but they cant schedule a date for that until the part is in. I decided to just get the hitch installed separately since it was already ordered and ready to go (I should have made sure that they had the necessary wiring the date I brought in the vehicle). Knowing what I know now, I would have ordered all of the parts that I needed (e.g. hitch, wiring, ball, and ball extension) before I brought my vehicle in so that I could have gotten everything at once. Overall, a good experience.

Horrible customer service. -_- They have ZERO customer parking. I parked my car in a different spot since all the marked spots said “15min parking.” I was then told by the customer service rep to move my car to one of those spaces while I rented the truck. I asked if it would be fine there as I was returning the truck after closing. His response was “Yea, it’ll be fine as long as it’s in that spot.” I came back to my car being blocked in and barely able to park the u-haul on the lot. After being blocked in overnight and having to return in the morning to pick up my car, I inquired about why I wasn’t informed that there was a possibility of being blocked in by u-haul vehicles that would be returned after hours. I was told “That’s just not something we don’t tell our customers....we probably should, but we just don’t” with the most indifferent attitude I have ever heard or seen from a MANAGER. This same phrase was repeated several times by the same manager when I filed a complaint with corporate. The issue is STILL unresolved because she refuses to provide me with a contact of a higher up because according to her, she’s her own boss and no one is above her. 🙄

Debbie and I rented a 24 footer....went well, the folks here where very helpful and when i had to call to extend the rental, they gave me the extra 13 hours for NO Charge....cant get that everywhere! Thank you Kim and the fellas there in Laurel and the folks on the phone...class act to rent from!!

Prior to arriving online I did the precheck online even capturing my drivers license, etc to save time once I arrived that morning as we were on a tight schedule to get to Baltimore. Upon arriving there was a line of people in front of me that had not done the prework online it appeared so I had to wait behind them, no savings there. When I did get to the counter the reps were great but the process was to repeat everything and verify everything I entered online, including asking for the drivers license information and backup phone number which I had entered online. Im a nutshell all the online data and images I did in advance did not save me any time period. I would ask Uhaul to review there check-in and queuing process since I was led to believe that providing the data online would get me in and out quickly. It didnt. The rental was fine, returning the van was quick and easy later in the day. Again the reps working for Uhaul were nice and professional. In the end good experience with the exception of the check-in process and lost time there.

Im giving a 4star review for ONLY the employee Brandon Wilson. He was a super help to us. We booked a specific truck with a trailer for our car. The truck had not been hooked up with the trailer, and the guy who originally tried to hook the trailer up, couldnt get the trailer brake lights to work. So he abandoned it in favor of helping the other customers, leaving the truck on and running for us to deal with. Brandon was actually trying to assist with something else when I flagged him down for help. He figured out that the trucks wiring to the trailer was faulty so he switched our truck for a new one and hitched the car on the trailer with a detailed explanation.Thank you Brandon so much!!! I hope the other gentleman will see the hard work that Brandon does and strives to serve his customers the same way.

This location is by far the worst experience I have ever had with U-Haul, and Ive used them to move from coast to coast three times, not including local moves. I reserved a truck on Thursday for a Saturday pick up. My problem isnt that they didnt have a truck because two of the trucks that fit my reservation type didnt end up getting dropped off, my issue was with the staff trying to shoo me away when they didnt have anything so they could attend to other customers without resolving my pressing issue. Then the young male tried to dismiss me several more times until he realized I wasnt budging until he started to call to find a resolution to my issue. He begrudgingly called then pawned me off on another customer service representative. Esly found another truck 20 miles away that I could go pick up immediately, but at this point I refused to accept that without resolution of my issue of the reservation guarantee that U-Haul. He stated he couldnt authorize it, and said the manager would be in later. I asked him to call and have them authorize it while I was still there. The manager tried walking him through it, but Esly was still unable to perform the request. He stated that she would take care of it when she came in. This was at 1pm. At 5:30pm I hadnt received any emails from them and I called again speaking to Aubrey. She spoke with the Manager who was busy assisting other customers in the store and she assured me that she would call when she was done. At 6:30pm I called again as I still hadnt been contacted. I spoke to a call center person seeing as no one at the location answered. They sent IM to three people at the Laurel location and said someone should call soon. They close at 7pm. I called back at 6:50pm and still no answer. This place is terrible. The management staff is less than attentive and completely inconsistent with previous U-Haul interactions in multiple states. I will be contacting Corporate Customer Service and the Better Business Bureau regarding this matter.

Place states that they email, call and text you but I have gotten nothing. Have left us in a very bad situation for sure. Dont have what you need then try to give you something way smaller....how can you replace a 26ft truck with a 17ft really? Beyond disappointed with the lack of communication. When you reserve something at one location and they say it can be done on the phone it should be done. Like Travis says Avoid at all costs!!

Called over the phone and made a reservation for a Saturday morning. I tried calling two days prior to find what time I could specifically get the truck, but no one picked up. I stopped by on my way home and waited 20 minutes in line due to both kids at the desk texting on their phone and continuously getting up and going out front instead of working on the six person line, queued out the door.I finally get to the counter and was told I couldnt get my truck until 1pm Saturday, which is not morning like I reserved. The young kid was incredibly rude and incompetent. He did absolutely nothing to look into the situation and potentially help except to tell me naw to every question I had.Between the botched reservation and the staff, I wish I could give it 0/5 stars.
