I was frantically looking around the entire DMV trying to find somebody who could mount and balance my new tires. I was so excited to find out that this place did walk in first come first serve basis appointments for tires! I was in and out of there within an hour and everybody I interacted with were very professional and easy-going. I will definitely be taking my bike back here for this type of work! It was also super nostalgic because I remember going into that place with my father as a child in the 80s. Still has the same great motorcycle shop smell! Thanks guys!

I believe she was by herself Im the atts department today 7/10/21 and was very busy with multiple customers. I went with a full upper body ballistic Jersey. I thought it would be to small or overkill. She educated me that it should not be to big, helped me choose the correct size. Will most definitely be back soon to pick up a new helmet for my son and I dirt bike adventures. Thank you so much, Jenn! Great job!

I went in today for my bikes first service. My experience was okay. The service rep was helpful but for most of my concerns with the bike his answer was - thats normal. Still I would commend that they serviced my bike within 2 hours. I guess I cant comment right now on the quality of work - will find out as I ride my bike. BUT the thing that bothered me the most while I was there and the reason why I am giving only 3 stars is that NONE of the employees - both in service and sales were wearing masks at any time. I am happy with the work they did. Got the bike back, drove it over the weekend and things are peachy. I would give them 5 stars but they did the work without giving me a call as they said they would. The $270 bill was quite a surprise in that way to me. A little heads up would have been nice. When I picked up the bike at the store they apologized and said for batteries we usually do not call and just install. Again, that is not what I was told. I was told anything that would take over the diagnosis hour charge ($105) we call the customer. Anyhow, good folks. Honda certified. I will be going back to them. Thank you!

So far so good. First visit here, but wont be the last. I walked in to the parts section and was quickly greeted and helped by Dan.The part I needed wasnt in stock, but was quickly ordered for HALF the price of the first shop I went to.Dan was attentive, friendly, and helpful. He made some good conversation and gave me some advice and direction. I couldnt have asked for a better experience.I always would prefer to support local businesses than order off of Amazon. But many times Amazon is better because of prices, and many times the customer service is so terrible in retail, Id rather not talk to anyone. But that is not the case at Heyser. I can safely say, I have found my local motorcycle shop thanks to Dan.

The one star is because i did not have the option to do no star at all. That is what i give their service dept. I am not going to say it is the worst experience i have ever had, but it ranks up there. Unfortunately, this is what one has to deal with these days where customer service and professionalism doesn’t exist anymore. Tried to get work done and aside from ending with 3 different quotes which started from 100 to almost 700, i was given wrong information on what i need to get done multiple times which ended up costing me money, and he still ended up not doing the job.Don’t bother complaining because apparently no one here cares either.

Went in this passed Saturday 2/13/21. Great experience for my first time here. My son and I were treated within a few seconds of us entering the building. We walked around looking at the different bikes for a bit. We came in looking for information and advice on helmets and riding our dirt bike. Dan W gave us lots of great advice on both topics. We were in need of a helmet for my son. I have a helmet that will work. (Will be back for a dirtbike helmet for myself) Dan showed my son a few different styles and asked him which ones he would prefer. He also let me know about pricing on each. We went with an HJC helmet. Dan also let me know the tires for our dirt bike were in stock. We will be back for tires for our second razor mx1800 build. (Brushless modified Razor mx500). I love this place, its a little small but their staff is so friendly. The first guy I met here was Dan, asking him for a good helmet that could fit my sister (as she is learning to ride). He professionally showed us multiple helmets, price, and style. Ended up purchasing a Bell Qualifier and she couldnt be any happier, great product that I am now considering obtaining one for myself. I also had asked them about some issues I had with my bike such as missing bar ends and bolts. He quickly found and ordered them. Within a few days, I had obtained them. Another plus is when I had a puncture in my rear tire. I asked them for the tire I needed and they had it in stock at a great price (compared to other dealers asking price). I told them that I was a bit nervous cause I had to take the MD200 toll road to get there (live in Rockville) and he told me all the recommended materials I needed to temporarily fix my tire to get there. They immediately were waiting for me, did the transaction, and within a few hours, I had gotten a new tire. Really this place has an amazing service quality! If only I had known about them sooner, I would of probably purchased my motorcycle from them!

Love their service department it really drove me to learn more about my bike so that I am able to do scheduled service on it. I took it in for a check up after not riding it for the winter. The guy told me it would be best to get the B service which is around $350 I believe. Once it was there I asked them to remove saddle bags and they said no problem. Told me to come back in one hour. When I got there, it was $450 for an hour worth of work. Oil change and a overall check along with changing spark plugs. At least that is what my bill said, couldnt tell you whether it was done or not. My ball also stated 4.5 worth of work 1 of which was for removing my saddle bags. All in all a complete rip off I think. I have no issue with them charging for their work and I would be ok with even 2.5 hours when they did it in probably 45 min - 1 hour but 4.5? that just seems absurd. Their parts department its great though, very courteous and extremely helpful.

Very satisfied with their parts department. Easy to deal with, and very kind staff members behind the counter. However, thats where my gratitude towards them ends. The service department is among the worst Ive ever encountered. The prices they quoted me were absurd, they failed my MSI for multiple illegitimate parts (Confirmed by 2 other **independent** inspection stations), and theyre lacking overall professionalism.Beyond that, they appear to be disorganized and very disinterested in providing a decent overall experience. The waiting room is underwhelming and very physically neglected. I mention this purely as an anecdote, and it had no value in the rating I gave.I dont write reviews.. Ever. Its a decent company with a good selection of bikes for the average rider. I do believe their prices are a little high for 250 cc and 500 cc sport bikes : $5,000 - $9,000 and I wish their used selection was bigger instead of just 3 -5 bikes. The super sport bikes 650 cc - 1000 cc : run $9,500 - $14, 000. For that price your better buying one either at a private auction or used. On Saturday, I came in to see if I could get my bike inspected. I had moved to Maryland from the District since buying my bike from Heyser six years ago. In that time, I have continued to return to the shop for all of my service needs. My experience this Saturday is a good example why I do so.Unaware of the bike wash, I was unprepared for just how busy the shop would be. The crew in the service department was undaunted. James assured me that he could help me out and apologized ahead of time for the time it would take. By being clear up front, he made it possible for me to plan the rest of my day. The techs were able to finish earlier than I expected. While I did wait, I watched them handle an incredible volume of service requests with a level of professionalism that is sorely lacking in most customer service interactions at other shops. These guys went above and beyond case after case, never complaining about the staggering volume of requests. In the past, James has taken the time to point out service that I needed as well as suggesting that I wait on other things until later. I feel confident in trusting his advice.I will return to deal with James for all my service needs in the future, and to Heysers sales floor when it is time to buy my next bike.Truly a great experience.

I have been a customer of Heysers for years, having bought my first bike there many years ago. My most recent visit was for my business and my need for a generator. I purchased a cheap generator from Home Depot and it barely lasted a year. They had no interest in helping me diagnose the problem or fixing the issue. I decided it was time to invest in a generator that would last and I could not be happier with my experience at Heyser. The main difference between a shop like Heyser Cycle and the big box stores is these guys really know there stuff and they take the time to educate you. They sell bikes and power products and that is what they are good at. And the equipment they sell is worth every penny. Ive read other reviews complaining about pricing and service and here is my response to both - I have always found the employees to be respectful and passionate about what they do and the GM is ALWAYS available if you have an issue. Try finding a manager (a real one) at Home Depot. And regarding price, besides the fact that I have always found their prices highly competitive, I also believe in the old adage, you get what you pay for.

If youre thinking of coming here for a MD state inspection, and you have interest in actually passing, Id urge you to go elsewhere. Ill start by saying that I understand why inspections on used vehicles are important. Everyone on the road benefits by ensuring your bike meets a specific safety standard. I also understand that there are rules and guidelines that inspecting mechanics must adhere to. That said, the mechanic(s) at Heyser Cycle went out of their way to fail my bike for anything and everything they could find that wasnt in mint condition. My bike has been down before. Its 18 years old and has 22k miles on it. There are things that arent perfect, but everything easily meets the standards for an inspection. Thats not just my opinion, but also the opinion of the certified mechanic at a shop down the road who passed the bike not an hour after it was failed at Heyser Cycle (for a cheaper price, i might add). Im not going to go into the details of the garbage issues they failed me for, but Ill say this: If you bike is in anything but like-new condition, get it inspected elsewhere.Edit: Thanks for the response! You are right, those are the issues the bike failed for the first time i brought it in, for evaluation. Before the re-inspection I fixed every issue you mentioned with the exception of the dragging clutch that is only present when the bike is first turned on, goes away after giving the engine a rev or two, and in no way affects the performance of the bike. On the second inspection you again failed me for this clutch issue, as well as for play in the shifting (that was not mentioned the first time, i should add). I will concede that there is some play in the shift lever on my 18 year old bike. Does the bike still shift without issues? Yes, so why is minor play a failable offense when it does not in any way affect the performance or safety of the bike? Well done coming online to lie and misrepresent the issues.
