Really friendly owner with great prices. We told him our needs (guest room) and didn’t want to spend too much and he found the perfect mattress that met our needs. It’s been about six months all our guests have loved it, absolutely no complaints. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new mattress and I would tell others to at least check here before you look elsewhere because you will get top notch service and good prices without sales pressure.

I brought a new full size mattress that fit into my budge at mattress universe. I was really pleased with my purchase and will visit the store again. The staff had excellent customer service. I really appreciated the staff taking the time to explain to me about what to look for in a quality mattress. I was able to ask a lot of questions about the mattress and felt the staff was honest in their response. The delivery process was fast and safe. The staff also set up the mattress and adhere to COVID-19 guidelines. The original mattress I purchased was out of stock at the time of delivery, so the staff upgraded the mattress without an additional cost. As a realtor, I work with my clients to help them transition to their new home, I now have a place to send my clients when they are looking for a quality bed(s).

It may not be a large chain company but it is better than all the other large chain mattress locations! Up there with buying a car, mattresses are one of the most obnoxious industries to buy from. Mattress Universe was the only shop I went to in Laurel that didnt drag me around with let me check with my manager on making you a deal garbage, he was friendly, upfront, and helpful.Another important thing is that its local business, fairly sure it is a couple of guys and a truck running the place, and even then I was able to get next day delivery from a local small business owner.Did not do much price comparison (primarily due to who carried which brand), but even if it ran me a few extra dollars (which based on other reviews, sounds like they are pretty competitive though), would be worth supporting local and not being an emotionally draining experience.
