District Heights delivery personnel is UNPROFESSIONAL and LAZY! I paid 120 for delivery to room. Once they arrived he said nah, Im not doing that... NAH THOUGH?! showed my order confirmation and they still only dropped it in the living room and said they arent taking it up the next flight of stairs. I want my $48 extra I paid for a service I did myself! I couldve just paid for basic delivery. When I Called to get help from customer service and they asked if they could call me back later! lazy scammers dont pay them extra for drop off in room. the dont do it they just take your money.
I stopped by to look for room divider. This is more of a credit contract store for single moms than a furniture business.

I want to save everyone the trip. I should have read the comments beforehand. I was recommended this place as a NEW customer and I received dishonest customer service before I could even enter!Plot twist! THERE IS NO LAUREL JMD! IT WILL NOT OPEN UNTIL THEY FEEL LIKE IT!!!3 weeks ago I called to buy a mattress set. When I arrived the store was closed. It was confusing cuz the website said they were open so I called and I was told by a rep that due to a covid situation (someone entered the store with Covid and got employees sick) they have to close and clean the whole entire store! Understandable! I understood immediately. I asked about availability and I was told to come back in 2 weeks, they will be open then and the items I was looking for was confirmed.2 weeks later from that call, I called the store. The machine on the store said “All locations are now back and running after Covid and we are still practicing rules” and their website says “currently open”.At the time I write this, if you call or go online it will say it’s open and running. I arrive and the store is gone (like it’s out of bussiness) and I call and speak to a rep. I’m confused and my callIs remembered from the previous weeks and the rep apologizes again and tells me they’re stillClosed and it’s for another 2 weeks! I’m here ready to buy my stuff and I called and the website and hotline says you’re open! The rep apologized and I asked for delivery. This store is 10 mins from me, the next store is 18 miles (37 mins). I asked for the inconvenience politely if they can either do free or 50% off delivery only! I need my mattress! The rep put me to the manager.The manager apologized and when I asked him for a discount on delivery only or waive the fee, he told me to come to the other location, he’ll “help me” but he WON’T honor delivery. I tell him “I called your store, you told me to be patient and come back and I did, your website and number says your open. I don’t want to drive 40 mins to another location when yours is here next to me. Sir I’ve wanted my stuff for weeks and I waited for you people. You even have a FB! It doesn’t take 10 mins to announce it on your social medias or alter your number’s message! This is not right, it’s dishonest and an inconvenience to customers. Look at the time I’ve wasted sir and you can’t even off half off delivery or waive the fee?”I don’t think this was a bad thing to ask. A free delivery or half off! He said “No, you’re right, sorry. Wait 2 more weeks or come drive to us and ‘we’ll take care of you.’ “I told him, “you’re not doing me any favors. You’ve inconvenienced me and wasted my time and this was suppose to be my first time here.” And I hung up after that.This is my experience! I really want to avoid anyone going through what I went through 3 days ago. I will never go there again and I didn’t even get to enter it!DON’T GO THERE! THERE IS NO STORE! THEY’LL OPEN WHEN THEY FEEL LIKE IT! I’D JUST AVOID JMD! They seem more about money then really taking care of customers. I had to go to 4 stores before I found my stuff and ironically it’s way better than what I would have possibly gotten and seeing the comments on here.I’m guessing I dodged a bullet.
Customer service at the store amazing...fast delivery......delivery guy rude...also the 3 chest I purchased good price but cheap quality....didnt come with all drawer attachments...the draw lining was 9ff track...
Wish I could give this place zero stars. NEVER order from there. Especially from the guy in laurel. He is a liar. He will tell that the furniture is coming and then never show. We ordered our furniture on Jan 5 and was told 1-2 weeks. Its Jan 30 and we still do not have a furniture. Now the “manager” won’t return calls. He conveniently is “off” when we come to check on our furniture. WORST place. He blatantly will lie in your face. We came here today because we were told Saturday that our couch and living room set would be delivered on Friday 1/31 and we got a text on Wed 1/28 saying mysteriously the living room set is “broken” Don’t order for them. Save your time and money.
This place may not be the fanciest but of you want quality furniture at an affordable cost, JMD is a great option. We looked at about 5 different locations for a bed and JMD had the best cost with a decent variety of selections. They always have sales/deals going on so we were able to get a set in addition to our bed. The employees and manager were helpful and even if they didnt treat us to all the perks they did a great workman-like job. The delivery came on time and they even worked with me to adjust the timing last minute based on my schedule. I would definitely recommend them for everything short of the wealthiest luxury.
Great quality furniture at a reasonable price. I went to 6 furniture stores before I found this one. I owner and his son greet you went you first walk in. And they offer installation and delivery. I purchases a shaggy rug and a bed.I will definitely be back again.
We needed new couches. The manager gave us a tour and then we were able to look in his catalog to find something to meet our exact needs. He had our pick in his storage area and he let us see the material, color, and textures. He helped us arrange for delivery and set-up. He was very patient and informative. I know that he stood behind his product and he even helped us with layaway so that I could save up and break up my payment. The furniture was gorgeous and the crew was friendly as well. We are the proud owners of beautiful futon furniture and we were so glad to get rid of our old beat up set. Our dogs, kids, and guest have all applauded our choice! Functional and nice to look at!! My giant 110 lbs puppy and my little Boston approve and snore loudly as they enjoy being with the rest of the family and friends during movie time.I went back and bought a full size mattress set w/metal frame for my son’s room! He is siked, because the mattress I bought less than a year ago from Amazon is so deformed already!!! I’m sure his back will love the upgrade!!!
I absolutely love this store. The store manager Shams is great, he is very friendly and down to earth. The prices here are the best in the whole area between Laurel, Baltimore, College Park right up to silver Spring. I will recommend this store to everyone I know who needs affordable and yet very durable furniture.
Yesterday I went here to buy mattress and was not told that the mattress are REFURBISHED AT ALL!!! REFURBISHED is not posted any where in the store or/and on the AD paper plus the sales person did not inform us of the beds being refurbished at all. When I got home I noticed that it was on the back of the yellow paper at #9. I would a full refund!!Please dont shop at this store.
I ordered furniture from this business that I had not picked up due to being out of the country longer than expected. I called JMD customer service on 8/12 regarding my issue and spoke with a rep named Whitney and was told the money was refunded. When I found that the money was not refunded I called back on 8/15 and spoke with a rep named Destiny and was advised she would need to speak with a manager to see if there was anything they could do. After a few days and no word from them I called back on 8/18 and spoke with destiny again and she advised since this order was placed online I should email the online department which I did and I received a response from Linda Williams on 8/30 stating they were going to provide me store credit for my order and to go in the store the same day and speak with Marcus (I think that is his name, he was the inventory manager) and it was confirmed by Marcus that I would receive 595.72 in store credit and he told me I had to use it that day. After picking out an items I wanted to purchase with my store credit and after waiting for 30 minutes to purchase my items he advise me that he would need to fax my order to Linda and to call her after 24 hours to complete my order. After 24 hours I called her on 8/31 and she stated she would call me back, I did not receive a phone call but an email that evening stating to call her. I called her the next day on 9/1 and left a message. She then returned my phone call and stated they will not honor the store credit that they told me they would give me because I waited to long to pick the furniture up. That is completely unfair to the customer because I purchased furniture and the company received payment but I did not get a product and they are going back on their word. I will not accept that there is nothing that can be done for me. I am trying to receive what I was promised from the company and need a resolution
They didnt have the sofa we were looking at in their show room. We specifically asked what the return policy was just in case we didnt like it when it came in. We were told 7 days to return it. The sofa came in and it is aweful. Cheap, hard, small. Nothing good about it. Called to see how we return it and they said we lose 35% of what we paid for it for restocking. To top it off, we are the ones who have to take it back to the store. Not only that, but they charged 130 for delivery, no set up. I am 38 weeks pregnant and cant lift a lot so the delivery guy said if we tip him good then he will set it up. I ended up putting everything together because only 1 person came to deliver and after slamming the couches up the stairs, he was exhausted. The place we bought our new couches from offer delivery and set up for 130. The place is a rip off. They try and get every dime out of you.
Nice guy working all by himself, no help loading our new bed, felt bad for him, but he was very sweet.
Great furniture store with good prices. Im adding this after using furniture for a couple of months. The furniture aint durable at all. They all falling apart and when I called the store to complain nothing positive was said or done. Take your money elsewhere and get sturdy and durable furniture.
I found a counter height table set on let go posted by JMD. I messaged back at night asking if they had the certain color shown in black as their website only showed a brown version. Preeti was extremely helpful and advised she would look into the stores inventory tomorrow to find which store had the black in stock. She messaged me next day advising which store had it. Very quick responses and follow up - thank you! I was able to go right after work to pick up the correct table set and the staff there was great! Looks perfect in the kitchen and couldn’t be happier. Greetings everyone,Where should I start. In 2018 August I bought a whole bedroom set for about $1600 plus warranty of $150. Which is a lot of money for such a poor quality furnitures. It’s a beautiful set don’t get me wrong, but poor quality. However one of the items it’s a nightstand lamp for about $80. Which stop turning on in about 2 months ago. My Falls church location close out currently, which I can explain myself why. I called the warranty company they said, I have never been register.Since then I have been trying to contact every single store, supervisor, the corporate and even the owners.I get put on hold, then surprisingly hang up.No one respond my emails, text or voicemails.BEYOND DISAPPOINTED, POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE, ABSOLUTELY CARELESS, I WILL NEVER-EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM JMD FURNITURES AND MAKE SURE I TELL ABSOLUTELY EVERYBODY ABOUT THIS UNFORTUNATE POOR EXPERIENCE.

I wish I could give them zero star. I bought around $5500 amount bedroom set and dining set and they said it will be delivered. After 3 days of delay the furniture came to delivery and I came to know they will deliver the sets in huge boxes only and will not assemble anything. Can anyone tell me if someone can ever assemble the huge bedroom set and dining set which is all heavy wood without expert assembly. I am extremely disappointed and returned the set. Stay away from them. I will never buy anything from them.
Worst place to buy furniture. The guy who sales charged thinking it wasnt mine, at furniture pick up he wanted me to get it myself out of the back of the store warehouse. Then wanted me to get the cart from outside and push the furniture out of the store. We argued finally he brought it out and I had to load it myself. What a Customer Satisfaction will never buy anything else from that place.

Furniture is cheap, you get what you pay for, I understand that so Im not complaining about that. The customer service is horrible. I went in looking for a living room set, bedroom set and a dining room set. I got the feeling he didnt want to sell me anything, I only bought a cheap guest room set and an area rug . When i went to pick them up he told me the area rug went up in price ! The need to fire the current guy there, hes horrible

I did not want to pay an outrageous price ($3000) for a mattresses like at Mattress Firm, i was still willing to spend up to $800 but this place was unacceptable. My husband and I had spent months researching information about mattresses, and every mattress store we entered gave us the same rehearsed speech. However, Marq and Nick from JMD, in Laurel, MD, provided quality information about mattresses that no other store was able to provide; they answered all of our questions. In the end, Marq went out of his way to call his salesmen to get us the best price on a Therapedic California King mattress. I would go back to this store again and again to purchase furniture.
Zero ratings. This place is the worst. Once they get your money they do not follow through with delivery as promised. I would not recommend anyone to buy at this place. They are a scam!

THIS COULD SAVE YOU AND YOUR KIDS LIFE! You get what you pay for when it comes to cheap furniture BUT and this is the part you need to read, the back of the sales receipt says this and I was not told this in any manner when I purchased the item. First - I was given a free box spring - but found out that this was remanufactured as well after I had bought the set - I was not told this in the store. BUT the biggest thing is this - on the back of the receipt it says this - Refurbished Mattresses and sofas b. It is the responsibility of the consumer to ask if the mattress of sofas they are purchasing is refurbished or not. (TO ME THIS GIVES JMD the RIGHT TO SELL YOU REFURBISHED AND NOT TELL YOU BECAUSE OF HOW IT IS WORDED and c. JMD Furniture shall not be responsible if the refurbished product is found harmful to the consumer. This includes, but not limited to bed bugs or any insect damage. I hope this helped someone, because I am stuck with my set, which is going to the dump it has a strange odor
There is something wrong with these fly by nighters. Cant get in touch with them, the number is call forwarded to one girl who must be answering in her pajamas in her basement. The advertised pieces are usually no where to be found. Just shaking my head here.
