Ive been going to JRS for many years and its the family owned, trusted advisor, auto repair youre seeking. Ive taken relatively new cars and very end-of-life vehicles to them. They have always taken care of great care of me. They honestly told me when a repair wasnt worth it and gave great advice in general. I have never felt over charged and they will direct you to other businesses when a job is not a great fit for them. Very nice, friendly people.

I brought my vehicle in for a noise and ended up getting a complete vehicle check similar to those done at dealerships when they place a value on vehicles. I ended up getting several services that I needed to include a new radiator that had issues. The cost of services was so far under dealerships and other repair shops that so much was saved. My husband and I both have lexus vehicles so they are usually expensive to repair and not all repair shops works on them. This shop is professional, knowledgeable and caring. This is an excellent family owned business that we have finally found that values our vehicles as much as we do.

Friendly, honest family business! We take both of our family’s cars to them (20 year old Toyota pickup and a 15 year old Honda hatchback) and they keep them running in great shape. I am a little hesitant to write a review because I don’t want the secret to get out! 😆They are so easy to work with, and make it very convenient to schedule and drop off/pick up at odd hours. The staff communicates very well, explains all of the options, and prices the work fairly. They never pressure us to do unnecessary work, and they are not condescending to female customers. We are lucky to have discovered this great business and plan to use them for years to come.

For a really long time My wife and I were looking to find a good shop who We could trust to take care of our vehicles maintenances and anything needing fixing or attention.That was when We found JRS Auto Repair here in Laurel, MD, and I can honestly say that there customer service is A++, they keep me informed of every aspect of the work they are doing to my vehicle.They do it right the very first time!We get a service We “supposed to get at a dealership” without the price tag and the nonsense.I have to travel a lot because of my job so my wife take her or my car to them so they can take care of anything that needs to be done and she says she feels comfortable knowing there will not be anybody taking advantage of her just because she is a woman anymore and let me tell you, for me that is a peace of mind.

I normally don’t write reviews for service I receive weather good or bad but with my current experience with JRS AUTO REPAIRS, I must say this was the best service I have ever received in a long time from anywhere. The level of their professionalism and transparency surpasses any dealership and local mechanics I have ever dealt with.I was ecstatic when the lady (Renata) told me they could come to my house to pick up my car for service. I couldn’t believe that level of service, I had to drive to their location in laurel MD to make sure such business existed.My car was picked up from my house as they promised, they called me back within 3 hours to let me know the issue my car was having. They actually took pictures of the issues and sent it to me via email, they explained to me what needed to be fixed first and last. I was able to make my decision based on their recommendations because it was thorough and understandable.I was so thrilled about their level of expertise, attention to details, and the utmost customer service I received, I had no choice but to fix everything that wrong with my car. Now my car drives like a brand new car. No kidding! I would like to thank JR for keeping my 1994 Honda Accord EX on the road. This car is 29 years old and runs good. It doesnt matter how old the car is. I have been going to this shop for well over 9 years to repair and maintenance all of my vehicles (hybrids too). They are clean, great at finding the root cause, as well as, fixing the issue right the 1st time so that the problems will not occur again. I also liked that they provided a list of future repairs and suggestions. I appreciate the support, texts and call updates, and transparency that Renata, Mr. Jr, and their team shows each customer. This place deserves 10 stars. Its hard to find good and honest mechanics. I drove my car to JRS with my engine and tire light on. I was terrified of how much they would try to charge me to check my engine light. Instead, Renata informed me that due to their schedule, I wouldnt be able to have it checked. She went down a list of things that could possibly trigger the light and informed her dad to check for those things. I got my scheduled oil change done and left the lot with my engine light off. I wouldnt go anywhere else at this point for car service.

Renata at the front desk was very welcoming upon arrival. I brought my car to them for a strange noise that was coming from the rear breaks. I had already taken it to several other shops including NTB only to pay them and hear the exact same noise right after I left their shop. I was just about ready to give up on fixing it but I’m glad I tried one last time with JRS. After my car was assessed, Renata called me. She was very thorough in explaining what was going on with my car & what would be the most cost effective solution. Also, the shop closes at 5:00 and I don’t get off work until 5:30 but they had a very organized system in place to ensure that I would still be able to pick up my car that evening. Overall, I had an excellent experience at JRS & I will be recommending them to my family/friends.

Went to JRS because of all of the wonderful online reviews and I found that they were well worth it. They performed a pretty extensive repair (half of my trucks engines lifters had failed) for a great price in the time that they promised... they even walked through what they did and showed me the parts that removed afterwards. I was recently told by the dealer where I purchased my vehicle that I needed new brakes and rotors. I thought maybe it might need brakes at least since I had put about 75k miles on it since I bought it. Anyway I didnt like the quote I received and went over to JRs to get an estimate. After inspecting the vehicle, JR was able to determine that I didnt need brakes or rotors at all. Saved me a bunch of money and time. So good to know that there are honest people in the auto repair industry these days. I have been taking my older cars here for years and have always been treated fairly by Renata and her father. This is just the first time Ive posted a review but I highly recommend this business!!

JRS is a great resource! I had a serious problem with the steering on my 13 year-old Scion and brought it to JRS. It turned out that what I thought was a failed power steering pump was actually just a bad hose. (Jiffy Lube had previously told me that the power steering fluid level was fine.) As always, JRS gave me an accurate diagnosis and prompt, friendly service at a very reasonable price.

After deliberating whether to have my car serviced at the Dealer or take my brothers advice and try JRS Auto Repair; I decided to listen to my younger brother. I was informed by the Dealer that I really needed brakes and shouldnt EVER drive my car (back up car); til I have the brakes replaced. They gave me an estimate of close to $800.00. Since my Highlander is really the family back up car; I decided to wait to have the brakes replaced. Well.... as it turns out my car DIDNT need brakes at ALL! Love this place..I hit a pothole in my mustang and immediately knew I had tore something up so I took it to a mechanic that I normally go to and was told that my problem couldnt be fixed and that I would have to replace my entire exhaust system. Not wanting to spend 1000.00 I decided to get a second opinion so I remembered that JRS was just around the corner from my job so I took my car and dropped it off and received a phone call a short time later saying that they didnt have to replace my entire exhaust system. They repaired it and saved me alot of money. Not to mention the friendly service you get...when I dropped my car off they even offered to give me a ride if I needed one. One last thing thanks for fixing my seat. I will forever be a customer and will recommend you to all my family and friends.

JRS Auto Repair’s level of service is spectacular! I called to get an inspection and they were able to fit me in the same day. Upon inspection I found out that I needed tires. Renata called to order the tires and even called me an Uber, so I didn’t have to wait at the shop. She is truly knowledgeable about vehicles and has impeccable customer service skills. JRS Auto Repair is an awesome place to take your car for repairs and diagnostic checks. I took my car to replace my radiator the work was of superb quality and the cost of the repair was better than expected compared to other auto repair quotes. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional! I highly recommend JRS for any repairs needed!

I needed to have front brakes fixed. They resurfaced rather than replaced the rotors which saved me around $100. They are an honest repair shop with reasonable charges.

These folks are simply the BEST auto mechanics I have ever found. They are extremely honest. They will tell you what is wrong with your car and nothing else. They will not try to sell you something that you dont need and may not be able to afford. They always tell me, this this to be fixed now. However, in the next three months you will have to fix .....Ever repair they have done for me is excellent. I never have to go back and say, You forgot to do this.Plus, they are family run. Junior, the father, owns the place is accompanied by his wife and daughter Renata who answers the phone. I have to say this about Junior. He is extremely smart. Ask him anything about your car and he will provide you an in depth answer. They are also very customer friendly. They help with transportation to and from their shop. This is my first experience with JRS Auto Repair. I found them by searching Google for Repair Shops in Laurel, MD. I picked them because they had the best reviews. Starting with my first phone call to the shop I had an excellent experience with the JRS staff. The receptionist did a great job of explaining the service process to me. Ive dealt with a lot of Auto Repair shops over the years and usually after speaking with a mechanic or manager I leave feeling like Ive been hustled or that theyre just trying to find things to increase the cost of the service. I honestly didnt feel that way with JRS. They explained my options clearly. When I picked my truck up the mechanic made a point to come up to the front desk, greet me and show me the worn wheel bearing hub that needed to be replaced. The work I needed was pricey, but from what I researched I didnt feel as if I was being over-charged. They charge about $40-something to diagnose your issue but waive the fee if you allow them to repair your vehicle. The most important part for me was the warranty I got on the equipment, fast turnaround time, and the fact that I didnt leave their shop feeling like I just got screwed or hustled. Overall, I am very likely to do business with JRS again.

I am a former Maryland State Trooper and I owned a 1998 Ford Expedition with 250k plus miles on the odometer. I thought about getting rid of the truck until I took it to JRS Auto Repair. The truck performed so well that I kept it for another 50k miles. I also took my wifes car there with the same results. I recommend JRS without any hesitation.

They were great and taken care of under warranty repairs on a vehicle purchase. Replaced the engine on a vehicle I purchased and still honored the warranty even though I was not the owner when the engine was replaced. Staff I encountered were friendly and very helpful.

I called this shop to check out a new noise in my recent used car purchase. The woman who answered the phone was super friendly and helpful. She promised to call back to see if they could get me in. When she returned my call super helpful again, and was able to get me in within the hour. It was a little hard to find the place but if you can find the Laurel Commerce Center youre there!They checked my car and fixed it within an hour and it was barely $60 . I know Im spelling her name wrong but Renada, who was on the phone and was the individual who manned the desk, and processed everything was doing 18 things at once never lost her cool, friendly demeanor. Shes also bilingual! Definitely recommend and I think Ive found a mechanic that I can call my mechanic.

We have been going to JRS for years. They do a great job on our 2003 Audi. Renata at the front desk is very courteous and responsive and professional. The work is always done really well and we appreciate all the suggestions and recommendations. You dont find an honest shop now that will tell you that the car needs 3K worth of work but can be done in stages rather then all at once since we all understand 3K is a lot of money. And we appreciate the fact that these people seem to actually care about the cars and the customers and not making money off of people. We are their customers for life and recommend them to all our friends and neighbors. We are taking my out of state father-in-laws car there as I type this, and I am certain it will be fixed the best way possible.

I recommended highly the service of JRS Auto Repair, the office manager and owner is very knowledgeable about automobile and the need of service that you need to be done in your car. They treat you with kindness and theyre thrust word the. I have known them for over 22years.

I felt extremely uncomfortable at this repair shop, Owner and his daughter a little rough around the edges. After looking at my car for the repairs I needed, I just did not feel I trusted them. I did not like the fact they priced cheap parts. When I asked to price better parts I was told if you come back in for the repair I will price it then. WHAT??? When I declined the repairs they felt it necessary to start speaking in a foreign language. Went else where and got my car fixed with the better parts.

Excellent customer service. They were able to fit me into the schedule and got my car done quickly. They answered any questions and explained things well.

Great communication before and after repairs in the six months Ive been working with them. Recommendations have held true with time, and repairs are also holding up well :) Very pleased on all counts.
