This shop and these guys are the best...hands down! Dropped my car off mid-day to recondition 4 rims. The car was ready the next b4 1530. Rims look better than new. If you ever need rim repair or reconditioned you gotta give these guy a shot. You wont be disappointed.

Wow! This is the kind of place you can’t find anymore— professional, fair, competent. I showed up unannounced at their place first thing in the morning with a banged up wheel and blown out tire in hand. They brought me back in their shop (spotless) and confirmed the wheel wasn’t bent beyond repair. Quoted me a fair price to weld & powder coat it and arranged to get a matching tire delivered from Delaware that same day. Called me at 4:30 to tell me it was done. Looked as good as new — and I’m PICKY about my cars. Brett, Chris & Brett’s brother (the aluminum welder) are real pros. Can’t say enough about my experience at TAS! Thank you!

I had many to choose from but their rates and then the results on my wheels was top notch. I gave them damaged wheels and I was return brand new looking wheels in 48hrs. Incredible service. They really took care of me. They quickly diagnosed what was wrong with my tire and rim (minor leak in tire and corroded bead seal) and fixed it immediately. They also found another wheel which minorly warped. He said it was so minor that it would not make a difference in terms of driving and vibration--saved me money there. Stand up guys. Quick service. Is it rare to find a place this good?Called to make an appointment for 2 rims I got with both cracked, but one cracked, bent, and a massive chunk missing. Brought the wheels around and the guys were able to point out that the rims werent OEM just by the lip size (later flipping it over to show the MADE IN CHINA stamp in the arch and how for their age the wheels shouldve been pealing, which OEM Toyota/Lexus wheels from that era do). Said they could do both by tomorrow, or worst case by Monday. Picking them up the day they promised it was near impossible to find where the bent and crack was. Only give away from the clean weld on the inside and where they tacked on a signature to the location. As for the missing chunk, it looks like it was just under a grinder, looks solid. The only thing I doubt is the wheel itself because its not an OEM Toyota/Lexus wheel, as for the work TAS Machine Co. did, its flawless.Im going here for any other wheel fixes and recommending my friends/family to this place. Chill environment and straight forward attitude.

I had curb rash on my OE wheel. Was advised they could either send the wheel out for repair or stay in-house. I selected the in-house repair due to the time factor. What an amazing job. When I showed up to pick my vehicle up, I inspected my wheel before entering the establishment. WOW! My wheel looked brand new. My first statement was Did you buy me a new wheel. Simply outstanding! I went to TAS with an unusual request. I needed to modify the 4 link bars on my 1950 Chevy truck. This required the bars to be cut and them threaded. Although a special tap was required, it was no problem. The bars were modified within a day and all for a great price. These guys are creative.

The dudes at TAS Wheels do amazing work. They completely transformed the wheels on my Audi S by repairing the curb damage, straightening them so that there is no longer any vibration and they even changed the color from the original factory grey to a razor sharp gunmetal flake that totally sets my car apart from everything else on the road. One of my tow trucks hit a CURB and A few places told me they could not straighten the wheel. I Called TAS and they got my tow truck back on the road the same day. I generally write reviews for businesses only when they get it really right or really wrong. TAS Wheels gets it really right. These guys are exceptionally competent, professional, knowledgeable and friendly. They provide top quality service at very reasonable prices, and their communication is on par with first tier consulting firms. Dealing with TAS was unlike dealing with any other car repair/machine shop Ive visited, and Ive been to several dozen over the past 30 years. They repaired three bent BMW Alpina wheels for me, communicated with me in a timely and courteous fashion, discussed the process and results, and documented the outcomes. I highly recommend TAS Wheels for anyone in the Metro DC area, and would put them heads and tails above the big name wheel repair shops.

After discovering that the slow leak in my truck tire was the result of an inch long fissure crack on the inside of the rim, I hit the internet to do my home work. After some research, my gut told me this was repairable by welding. So off I went to the garages and showrooms where I was told trash it, no way, and replacement cost of $600 to $900 for one rim.TAS took one look at it and without hesitation and tons of confidence said we can fix that no problem. Less than 24 hours later the repaired rim was welded, dent removed, balanced and remounted for $200 cash. They are impressive young men and will earn your trust. So glad I made the long drive to Laurel from my home in DC.

TASs quality of work speaks for it self, They arent your average wheel repair place doing sub-par work just to get by, theyre a real deal machine shop delivering only the highest quality of work. its clear they take pride in what they do and it shows in the final product. I brought them a set of wheels that another shop failed to repair properly and TAS transformed them far beyond my expectations. Dont make the same mistake I did going to a second rate shop to try and save a few dollars. Do it right or do it twice and TAS is doing it right.

Brett at TAS is awesome. Emailed him pictures of three rims on my Dodge Dart that had curb rash. One of them I tried to fix myself and failed. He got back to me within minutes of sending my email, asked a few questions then gave me a quote. Shops that are near me wouldnt return my emails or phone calls and the only one that did gave me a ridiculous quote. Dropped my car off at TAS in the morning around 9am and all three rims were done and ready to go by 3pm. Not only did they look like brand new but he color matched the Dodge hyper-black so well you cant tell the refinished rims from the one untouched original. He also did it for a very reasonable price and was very professional and knowledgeable.

Great service, reasonable prices, and--most important--OUTSTANDING work. The TAS guys straigthened and balanced all four rims on my 2010 VW Passat Wagon (two of which had multiple severe bents) to perfection for a little more than the cost of one new rim from the dealer. The rims went back in the car so clean that you could eat off of them, And attention to detail counts for a lot in my book: each time I went in, they properly torqued each lug nut by hand and made sure no lug nut cover caps were lost. Both of these things are a lot more than I can say for one of the national tire chains that had worked on the car before. Dont be fooled by the mobile guys for straightening; TAS is the real deal. Your tires have to come off!Give them a call; you wont be dissapointed.
