This is my 4th time attempting to post this review. Every prior instance, something weird and glitchy malfunctions, on either this page, or Google reviews... so I had to create this separately in my notes, and then cut and paste it onto their review page. I hope it works this time. If not, theyll just have to accept the ⭐s.I found this great shop via friends referral, last yr,  but due to the pandemic, couldnt visit til earlier 21.  I had check engine light issues, some oil leakage, and overheating of my engine, all apparently tied to some malfunctioning valve problem.I dont know much about cars, but I DEF know when something is awry with the one I drive regularly.I came in flustered, and stressed about a prior diagnostic check, and some wrk INCORRECTLY done from a prior shop...(dont EVER use NTB in Laurel, by McDs)The gentlemen at Nankee took a look over my engine,  told me theyd fixed similar issues often with my vehicle type, and knew exactly what to do. I really appreciated that they took the time to provide some education on the problems I was having, as well as explain to me how certain parts impacted various others,why I was having these continued issues, and how they could potentially manifest if not taken care of promptly.Although Im no expert, as previously mentioned... I do think the price I was quoted for my work needed was fair...and knocked out promptly, with certain parts they already had in stock, and others that were ordered quickly. I found them to be extremely professional and friendly, with absolutely the most impeccably clean and organized shop/garage I have ever seen in existence! You could have eaten off the floors in there. I was surprised! Even following pick up, I had some minor issues that seemed connected to the original issues, which they addressed w/a return visit later.All in all... I would feel comfortable using them again, or recommending them to anyone, for virtually anything vehicle-related. I think I found my new neighborhood mechanic...and that definitely gives me a huge peace of mind knowing I have a safe place I can go and trust for various vehicle servicing.

Although its been a few years ago, I couldnt in good conscience recommend this repair shop to anyone. They may do pretty good on small repair jobs but not bigger ones. I took my Chrysler 300M in for an oil change and they found several things that needed to by done. One of those things was changing my timing belt. It cost me a total of over $1,800 for all the work performed. The cost wasnt my biggest concern. What concerned me most was that they told me they had to take my complete front bumper and head light assembly off to replace the belt. Well I have a pretty good knowledge of automobiles and that is certainly not a part of the process of changing a timing belt. But I gave them the benefit of the doubt, and because they are supposed to be transmission specialists, I took my Ford Ranger in for transmission repair. I had to take it back several time and still from that time until now, I have had problems. The issue was never resolved. Whatever they did, it caused the left front fender to be misaligned. I had to take my vehicle to the Ford Dealership body shop to have it repaired. Enough was definitely enough!

I actually found this auto shop by searching for great reviews. The shop just so happened not to be too far from where I lived. I received great customer service. As a woman I didnt feel like I was being taken advantage of and Riccardo even showed how to get the best price for my tires. They were fast and efficient. Highly recommend.

First time at Nankee Auto Repair. I was using a groupon for a full synthetic oil change. The office is very homey. The customer service is great. The oil change was done quickly and effectively While waiting I heard manager/owner speaking with customers about their service. He was very attentive and detailed, explaining the service and cost. The customers seemed pleased with the service and cost. I will definitely return with or without groupon. If youre looking for a repair shop with integrity and fair prices, you might want to give them a try.

My car broke down in the middle of the Parkway and I had it towed to Nankee Auto Repair because of the proximity and good reviews. They immediately found out it was the timing belt and now the car drives smoothly again. Service was good, professional, trustworthy and reliable. I highly recommend it.

I have been doing bussines with Nankees for well over 11 years and they are honest, professional and wont charge you an arm and a leg for your repairs, Ricardo and Rodney are the owners and they are always willing to help with a smile on their face.

I made a 3pm appointment with the owner for the shop last week. I had to make sure that I took time off from my job to be at the 3pm appointment today, Thursday June 4th at 3pm. Got there on before time. I found the place locked. I called the number for the shop and the owner answered and he is a very disrespectful, disorganized, and sound like he has no home training when it comes to his business appointments with the time given and hours. He just told me that he is very busy today and that you would have to come another time over the phone with not acknowledging the fact I had an appointment for 3pm and took the time off from my God given job to be at his shop to get the service that I had an appointment for. You try to support you own people and they themselves don’t have no respect and proper training for their business and customers time. I was very disappointed in the owner with the way he had spoken to me and not acknowledging the fact that I took time from my job to be there just for this 3pm appointment. He banged up the phone on me and it has made me, as a customer feel worse than I had already felt knowing that people from your own nation behave that way towards one another with trying to still support small businesses in the time of that pandemic. The owner of the shop with the Trinidadian accent was very bashful and disappointed with his disorganized business. Baddddddd experience here as a FIRST TIMER!!

Worse experience to date, very bad customer service they lie to your face about work done on vehicle which is not so, over priced and they are very unprofessional, they rip me off.

I went in for brake service. I was greeted as soon as I stepped out of my car. Ricardo was friendly, funny, and professional. I was early for my 3pm appointment. Once my parts arrived, the work on my car was done in know time(at least if felt like it). The mechanic finished sooner than I thought and I was out of there by 4/430. I was quoted a price based on a special they were running and that did not change once I went to pay. No extra fees or anything like that. After leaving the shop, I returned because of a noise I heard in my brakes, Ricardo explained what it was and then took my car for a test drive, long story short the brakes just needed to adjust on there own. The waiting room and the shop are clean, and especially the bathroom. I will definitely return for more work to be done on my car.

I never write reviews, however in this case I just had to share how happy I am with the overall results of Ricardo’s work on my car. I came into the shop to get my bumper repaired/painted due to someone sideswiping my car and driving off.Upon arrival Ricardo displayed a great deal of professionalism, he came out and greeted me, assessed the damage, gave me a quote and scheduled and appointment time and date. I dropped off my car Wednesday morning and picked it up Thursday afternoon.He did an EXCELLENT job on my white car, matched the paint and everything. He even got out all the dings that had accumulated over the years. I’m beyond satisfied and look forward to working with him again.

I had my car fully repainted. They did a great job matching the paint color and fixing the dents. My car was there for less than a week. I am very happy with the results. My car looks new.

I came into the shop in February because my check engine light was on. Paid thousands to have it fixed. Check engine light comes back on. Pandemic happened. 2 months later light is still on and i go back shop and Ricky says i have to pay more money. I pay more money for another part that he forgot to mention, wait for it to get here, wait for Ricardo to install it. Light still on. He says wait a week and the light will go out. Month later light is still on and he says oh i forgot, you have to buy another part. It’s just up sell after up sell with no results. Do not go to these people if you want your car fixed.

I had a great experience here. Everyone that I dealt with was proffesional and polite. I got my drum brakes replaced and even though they were visibly busy that day they got them done within a couple of hours. Great group of guys and I highly recommend them!

My car got a puncture. I stopped by this garage to have it fixed. They fixed my tire within a minute. They was polite and quick. I would definitely recommend them.

For the last year and a half i was getting the run around on my car a/c. Shops were ripping me off taking my money and not solving the issues I had with my a/c. I took my car to Ricardo and he instantly figured out the problem and was able to fix it in a good timely matter. Hes a honest guy and ensures you get the proper treatment dealing with your car. Outstanding work from a great mechanic. I highly recommend any and everyone to bring your car service needs to him.

Good service. Full synthetic oil change was completed quickly. They have a comfortable waiting area and staff was friendly. I left a couple movie tickets in the cup holder, and they were still there undisturbed following the oil change.

Beware of this place! I took my car for repair and after spending over $1500 my car has not been fixed. The main problem they were supposed to fix in the first place is still there and theyve somehow managed to create other problems. Poor quality of work and unprofessional. I would NOT recommend this place, they are a total scam. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Love this shop. Not much to look at but they are fast, reliable and VERY reasonably priced.

They advertise that they close at 6. We came in at 4:45 pm and we’re told that they were closed. Although they agreed to service our vehicle, an older gentlemen was incredibly rude and gave push back. Although I understand wanting to go home at a decent hour, my recommendation is to update your hours to eliminate confusion.Additionally, it’s hard to find this place as there are tons of vehicles (I assume are getting serviced) that clog the parking lot.

Brought my vehicle to be checked to see what the problem was. Was told by an older man Sam(the father) which check the my vehicle that I needed a tune up. Went inside the shop to be told by the (the father) that his son Ricardo will take care of us and that they are a family own business and they dont charge what dealers charge to fix vehicles.When in fact its the total opposite his son told us he would charge us $772 to do a tune-up on 2006 Sienna 😆 is he joking??? This gotta be a joke. Instead of having the quote on paper he gave us a business card with just the price. So we were unable to see what the break down of the cost for anything was. Then he had the nerve to shake our hand like he was doing us a favor.As we were leaving out the door he then followed us outside and asked my husband to start the car up to see how it sounded and when he did. He now tells us, Oh wait a minute its not a tune up but a catalytic converter so Im thinking it will be less expensive so I asked how much? He says that is gonna be more like $1400-$1500.🤔Now you have went from tune-up to converter. Whats really going on? Sounds like somebody trying to get over but it wont be on me buddy!We left and shopped around and was told that in fact it is a tune-up which would only cost us any where from $300-$400 buck. Stay far away from this place to save you a headache of misfortune.

The best mechanic shop in my area. Black-owned (Trini) is a real bonus.I have been coming here for a year, at least, and have had a variety of work done - from oil changes to the intake valve sensor. They seem capable of doing it all.Ricardo is skilled and efficient. His father is flexible - once coming in early, because I had another appointment that I had to get to.I will definitely continue being a patron.

Came to these guys after getting told from some AAA shop that replacing two front axles would be 1000-1400 dollars...these guys did it for a far more than reasonable price. Very fast service, friendly, honest, everything youd want in a mechanic. Theres too many sleazy shops that prey on people with little knowledge of car repair, who overcharge for parts and labor. This is absolutely not one of them. Go to these guys, hard working, honest people who will help you out.

My car shut down last night on the parkway, five minutes from my house. I eventually found my way home, and woke up this morning frustrated because I just knew I’d have to spend a couple hundred dollars to repair my car. I called a few places in the greater Laurel area, and everyone either was rude on the phone, said they wouldn’t even look at it until Monday, or ridiculously expensive and sounded like they just wanted to get as much money out of me as possible. Everyone except Ricardo at Nankee. Ricardo expressed empathy about my situation, exhibiting an often forgotten cornerstone of customer service, and assured me he wouldn’t charge me any more than was necessary to fix my problem. After I got it towed there, he even took the time to look at the car while I was on the phone with him so I would only have to make one trip to the parts store, saving me even more money I would have had to pay Lyft/Uber to shuttle back and forth. They went over the common causes of the problem and started with the most common (and inexpensive) solutions first, and were able to fix my car and give advice to prevent it from breaking down again from the same issue (check your oil regularly everybody, seriously). Whoever said good work can’t be affordable has never been to Nankee. I’m moving out of the Laurel area soon, but due to the superb customer service I received today, I’ll still be making the drive (or tow) over to Nankee for any auto servicing I need.

Friendly and knowledgeable mechanics. I drove a ways to get here because a friend told me about the good service she received at Nankee. I am very satisfied. They were able to quickly diagnose my cars issue and get me back on the road. They were also able to come up with a fix to suit my budget. I will come back next time my car needs work.

I was referred by a friend. Nankee Auto looked at my car and stated that i needed a flex pipe. The gentleman stated that i can still drive if i dont mind the noise. He quoted me a reasonable price. I told him i will be back in two weeks. When i returned the quoted price did not change and my car was fixed in a timely fashion. No more noise!!! Customer service is SUPERB and i wish i known about them when i first bought my car. I highly recommend Nankee for any auto repair needs. I will have Nankee service my car from now on and I will refer anyone to them!!!

I originally went there just because there was a Groupon for a synthetic oil change, but found out my car was causing more problems than just a mere oil change. Glad I brought it here the guys were top notch customer service, great at working with my budget to get the work done I needed, and even kept their shop open to make sure all the work was done in one visit. Took my fiancés car here since it was having a stalling issue. My fiancé had fixed everything on his car at this point and still the issue was still there. We had been to 4 other mechanics before coming here and they all could not figure out what the issue was. Looked up auto shops on google and Nankee auto was the first to pop up. After countless disappointments from previous mechanics, we decided this was the last shop we would go to and if they didnt find and fix the issue then we were going to get rid of the car. When we first got to Nankee, we were greeted by the owner and his son. Its a family owned shop. We explained what was going on with the car and we were desperate to get it fixed. They explained that they would look at everything and get back to us when they figure out the issue. They kept the car for 3 days and finally called us and told us the issue. It was something a lot of mechanic wouldnt have even thought of would be the issue and they figured it out. Price was very good as well. Now the car is fixed and drives smooth. I highly recommend everyone to come here!! I couldnt have been more happy with the service and professionalism of this place. Ill def be returning!

Beware of the type oil they put in your car engine. Found out they order off brand oil online and use that but dont tell you up front. Better trade your car in soon if they have performed work on it already.

Great service, I needed my air condition fixed in my car. I have fairly new car and my AC went out. The shop was able to immediately locate what the issue was and fix it in a timely manner at a great price. I would recommend anyone to go here!

Awesome place. A colleague of mine specifically recommended these folks to me. Ricardo was very transparent, very friendly and super prompt. I replaced struts, brakes, wheels and also had balancing and alignment done. His charges were reasonable and he explained the options and reasons. Afterwards he did a bulb change for free. I have no hesitation to mention that Nankees has been the best garage and repair place I have ever been to. Very highly recommended!

My car kept over heating, turned out I needed a new engine. So I got it towed to them. They displayed great customer service on top of that went the extra mile & stayed open till 7pm to finish my car on New Years Eve when they were supposed to be closed at 12. Since I moved to the Laurel, O have been looking for a machanic that i can trust, get the job done and wont nickel and dime me. I have to say that Ricardo the owner showed that he was very passionate about his work and that made me feel confident in his ability to work on my 96 impala SS. He got it back in top shape and my Range Rover. Highly recommend Nankee Auto.

UPDATE: Groupon had bad information for the Proprietors contact information and procedure for using the Groupon. Stopped by the Shop and while originally setting me up for the next day, a worker accepted the task and got me back on tube road inless than 30 minutes at the closing hour. Pleased with service - updated my review... IGNORE: 👉🏿 Rude, non-chalant, and unaccomodating owner operator. Evidently overwhelmed by the high number of sales on Groupon, Owner-Operator was not able to accommodate my schedule without brusque, rude and rough customer service. Needs a more accommodating style with polished customer service skills. Disappointed and need care serviced for personal and professional purposes.

I Use To Go To Another Dealership And Friend For My Repairs Until Getting Completely Ripped Off. I Got On Google And Searched For Best Auto Center In Maryland To Get My (Crown Vic) Injection Fuel Injector Changed Out. I Ran Across This Shop After Reading Multiple Reviews, I Just Had To Take My Chance. Drove 40mins With Check Engine Light On And Car Misfiring Like Crazy. Ricardo Greeted Me Very Proffesional He Bought The Reader Out To See What The Problem Was. Ricardo Gave Me A Reasonable Price For Parts & Labor W/ 1Yr Warranty And Provided A Receipt. Ricardo Asked When Will I Need My Car Back, I Honestly Thought I Was Pushing It By Saying In 4Hrs.Usually Car Shops Keep My Car For A Day Or 2 But He Took My Crown Vic Same Day And Out Before 4Hrs. I just recently moved from California here a few months and unfortunately the AC went out in my car. A friend referred me and I called them. Im not sure the guys name but he told me to come that evening, even though they were closing in 15 mins. He greeted me right away listened to what the issue was, looked at my car, came back and gave me a very resonable price. Car was fixed in less than 40 mins and my AC runs great!! Best customer service ever, with great pricing to match!

I recently called Nankee Auto based on its existing extraordinary reviews for a radiator and 02 sensor repair. This was a life saver as most shops were booked for weeks! I cant say that I was at all disappointing at that, as Ricardo at Nankee was to the rescue. I was immediately helped upon arriving and Ricardo put me at ease that the repairs would be done in a timely manner. One of the things I noticed and that really impressed me, was the level of professionalism and patience from all of the mechanics, and the way that they made me feel like family, not just another customer with car issues. True to his word, Ricardo repaired my vehicle same day, and even stayed 2 hours past closing to do so!! This place was a lifesaver. I had a major exhaust problem and my (old) mechanic told me that it was going to be close to 3k to fix. Nankee fixed it for a quarter of the price. They also threw in an oil change for free! Ricardo has great customer service and now I wont take my car anywhere else.

Nankee Shop saved the day! Actually the whole weekend! Car broken down mid Saturday morn on the Beltway. The tow truck driver suggested this place. Although they were really extremely busy and had plenty of cars before mine. They said that they would still fit me in.They found me an Alternate, Installed it, gave me a discount and sent me on my way. My mechanic had mentioned to someone earlier what time he planned on leaving. My job was time consuming, but he stayed longer to get me one the road.Might not sound so AWSOME to you, but because of his kindness to go that extra mile for me, I was able to finish up my Outreach Event and able to make it to church the next day to bless the kidoz.Be Blessed guys at Nankee!

I was referred to Nankee Auto roughly 5 years ago from a AAA Tow truck driver that was towing my car to the nearest AAA approved facility for some brake work. He asked why I was going so far when their were mechanic shops closer to where I stay, including the shop he frequents for his cars & motorcycles. I was new to the area having moved from FL about 5-7 weeks prior so I was all ears, esp. since the facility was 20 mins away so we had a lot of time to talk lol. Needless to say I visited 2 weeks after to get a quote on some other work I needed done. The quote was $400 cheaper than what I had been hearing.And the rest they say is history, Ive been a loyal customer every since. I never have to worry about the quality of work as they keep me in the loop to the point of taking me on the floor to show & explain what they did, how my car should run afterwards, and if there is anything down the road I may need to consider. Ive been back many times over the years for routine oil changes, maintenance, & tires.Never have had a problem with customer service as I feel like Im treated like family.

The worst place to take your car in laurel mdVery bad service they will say they fixed your car but they only do patch work so you can bring your vehicle rite back they dont hold up to the warranty they will try to sell you please please please dont take your vehicles there very bad service.

Dont bring your vehicle to them they will rip you off plus the owner and everybody are rude..they did a terrible job on my car made me spent over $900 for no reason
