My wife has always loved the cello and recently decided that she wanted to begin learning to play. I searched the internet for quality cellos and carefully examined all the options. Gliga Violins was the only place I found with quality hand made cellos at reasonable prices. My wife is small and cannot use a full size cello. Gliga had a beautiful 3/4 cello in stock which my wife loved and now owns. One of the great services Gliga provides is that the instrument you see on their website is the one you actually receive. No guessing. And the shipping was carefully packaged and everything arrived perfectly. On a recent trip to Las Vegas we were able to visit the Gliga store and meet with Cristian, Elena, and their two sons. One of the young boys even played his 1/16 violin for us! Such nice people, lovely store, and beautiful instruments. They have a love of fine craftsmanship and it shows. I highly recommend Gliga Violins for all your stringed instrument needs. One of my fiddle kids is a lefty, and Gliga seemed to be the source for quality step up violins from his previous little 1/2 sized plywood fiddle. When the 3/4 size arrived, we marveled over the craftsmanship, the quality of the woods, and especially the set up. That one was destroyed in a fire, and Gliga made the replacement of a left handed fiddle in a 4/4 size very easy and swift. Great customer service, and the instruments are of a high quality, rivals to any I have own my collection. Nice figured tiger maple.

We have purchased many violins, but this particular violin and experience is superb. Both Elena and Cristian surpassed our expectations. First the level of attention to our needs and wants was amazing, they went far and beyond to please us, second the instrument is exquisite, beautiful and a great value, I highly recommend Gliga Violins. With the current situation (COVID 19) they did everything they could to make this an amazing purchasing experience.

The violin I purchased (gems 1) is so easy to play — I started playing violin couple of years ago, on a “thrift-store-found” violin. Now I wish that Instead of making adjustments to this violin — someone would advise me to purchase Gliga. Playing is so much easier — the sound clear and vibrant.

When we arrived for our appt they had everything ready for us and allowed my son to play the instrument to his hearts content until he picked the right one for him. My son was ready for a new violin and, since I was born in Romania, I planned to visit Reghin to get him a Romanian violin. But COVID-19 hit and we were not able to travel this summer. Then found the Gliga Violin store in Las Vegas and decided to talk to them. Needless to say that I was nervous about closing a deal on a violin over email and UPS, but It all turned out great. With the help of my son’s violin teacher we chose a Maestro Gliga one-piece back violin. Elena was wonderful ! She provided all the needed details and answered all our questions. Per our request, she sent a recording of this exact violin being played, so I felt very comfortable when I placed the order that it is a good instrument. It turned out the violin looked more beautiful in person. And we all, including the teacher, fell in love with the sound. It was a lot better than another violin we were trying at the same time and for about the same price. Romanians have a long tradition of making good violins. If they are cheaper than similar quality violins made in Western Europe or USA, don’t assume they are not good. Luthiers in Romania don’t make nearly as much money as other luthiers around the world make.We are very pleased with the violin and with the service we received. Thank you for a great instrument!

We purchased a Maestro cello from Gliga Violin Shop in Las Vegas. We live in San Diego and initially expected them to ship the instrument; however, we received a call from Elena a couple of days later letting us know they will be delivering the instrument to us the next day at no extra charge. Yes, they actually had a guy drive from Vegas to San Diego just to deliver the instrument to us! That was a pleasant surprise, as it was an expensive instrument and we were worried about shipping it. The instrument is hand made by Maestro Gliga and the quality of both materials and workmanship is spectacular. We did have to replace the strings with a different brand, but otherwise the instrument is beautiful and sounds wonderful. A similar instrument made in Germany or Italy would easily cost double if not triple. Highly recommend Gliga Violins if youre looking for a quality hand made European instrument!

When I received my violin, the pegs were completely stuck, so I emailed them on Amazon. They replied me very quickly and offered me great options to solve this problem. Eventually I drove to their store since we were on a trip at the city. The luthier fixed my violin quickly and told me several possible reasons why the pegs got stuck. He told me how to take care of the pegs and also answered my questions on the chin rest. It was a great experience, and I learnt more about my violin. Will definitely buy a violin from them when I can play better XD

I ordered a GEM2 violin and required shipment to Hong Kong. The violin arrived safe and sound, delivery date is perfectly met. The violin quality is beyond my expectation, even the G string gives a mellow sound.

Irdered a 16 Gems 1 viola from Gliga Violins and it seems that my arm couldnt reach a comfortable position when playing. So I asked the staff if I may exchange it. These guys were so quick to respond with a yes! They were so kinda and the next day Chris already sent me another viola 15,5. Beautiful sound, deep warm with the Helicore strings - my Gems 1 is so easy to play!Chris was super nice and attentive to all my questions/needs regarding the Viola. I felt I was being overbearing and annoying, but Chris was so clam and kind to address all my concerns! Great quality and wonderful kind clientele service. Based on my 3 experiences with Gliga and with the most recent one, it is a ONE star company. The companys customer service is non-existent or inconsistent with each experience and the most recent experience with Gliga will be my final experience.1) Jun2018- I bought my first instrument (lower end set) in Jun18. I received the set with the wrong configuration. When I contacted Gliga, I found out that the option I selected for accessory wasnt available. There was no communication with me about this and they took the liberty to send me a set with the different setup.2) Nov2018- I placed a 2nd order for Maestro and specified clearly that all configuration should be as per order submitted. This order was done perfectly and received in good order.3) Jun2019 - I placed a custom order in Jun19. After some negotiations on price, Gliga replied with the price on 27th-Jun. I followed up immediately and agreed with the 20% deposit on 28th Jun. Since then, I have 3 followup emails (on 28th Jun, 5th Jul, 12th Jul) but I have not yet received a single reply from Gliga. Even if they do not agree with my options in the order (such as removing the case), it is reasonable to expect Gliga to provide a response for their returning customers request.The long silence / no response from Gliga is making me wonder whether the company is folding up or they choose selectively who they want to be their customer and provide their service accordingly.Before you place your next order with Gliga, please think again.
