So I was given two chain saws about a year ago. I was told they had some issues.I searched for a local company that did small engine repair and also could service these two saws that fell in my lap. After calling around to a few companies one guy told me about Burlap. He said they are the best. Once I looked them up I noticed they were right down the street from my office.Upon entering the business I was greeted with a smile and told that there would be a small deposit for them to see what my new saws needed but that would go toward my repair costs. The next day I received a call informing me of the problems and the repair costs. I opted to not repair the saws at that time and instead invested in a new saw. See pictures.A thank you goes out to all the staff. It was a pleasure and the saws performance was awesome. I will be back.
I should have read the reviews before coming, I bought an old lawn mower brought it here to have serviced, lady at the front said $20 deposit and we will call you if anything major needs repaired. She called me said it was ready to be picked up. Got there and she said my bill was $129. I asked why didn’t she call to discuss. She said that’s not considered “major” With attitude. I said I’m sorry I’m not educated on lawnmowers. She said “everybody know that $130 is not major for a lawnmower” lolVery rude and customer service sucks! How about just be a nice person. I Will not be coming back and hope you don’t either.
Bad service, we bought a water high pressure RYOBi 2300 PSI electric water wash machine from Home Depot, only use one year is not working, this shop is Roybi tool repair dealer, it is under warranty and when we drop the tool they didn’t even provide us drop receipt, and after couple days they called telling our tool was fixed and don’t tell what problem and indicating charge us $75 for fixing, and we asked why they said there is no problem and you touched the wires, if there is no problem why charge us,and plus it is still under factory warranty. There is no supposed charge if under warranty. So this is bad landscape store business. Never buy tools and have service repair with them. Also never buy tools from RYOBI brand. RYOBI is not trusting tool brand, bad quality only a year no working. And bad warranty service. No warranty. Rip off your money!
I’m on vacation in my Predator generator quit working. I called and they squeezed me in and got me all fixed up within an hour, rates were reasonable too. But the dog really made the visit! Highly recommend.
I called to inquire about a gas powered turf broom and bought it a couple of hours later. This store has the most amazing customer service and the best products for our industry. Highly Recommend!
Dont know them personally yet, but they do ALOT of Craftsman tools so am happy that I found them. Laura told me that my problem was probably because I use cheap gas, and shes right, I do use cheap gas. Now I get to pay for the repair instead of the warranty picking up the tab.
Laura, the lady in charge, ade every effort to get my Kobalt saw fixed, even.though Kobalt wouldnt send her the parts, and shes the authorized dealer.
Took our generator there because it was really smoking when we started it. They added oil and said they couldnt get it to smoke. We picked it up and it smoked at start up. Didnt do anything to it yet charged us $75. Waste of our time and money.
Terrible costumers service dont go there... i have chainsaw to repair from the screw. The lady toll me was my problem she started to angry with me .. i use only 3 mont the chainsaw. Please teach costumers service how to educate
Its been a while since I shopped there, called a few days ago and Laura was very helpful, picked up a new pole saw and was exactly what I wantedThanks
Great service every time!!
Terrible customer service! When I called lady was super rude full of attitude because I couldn’t find engine size.. pretty sad for company like this.
Couldn’t be more pleased with my experience here!!! Laura was super helpful courteous and most importantly knowledgeable in every aspect possible. Walked me through every step and answered every question I had thoroughly. Even explained step by step the true maintenance required for my power washer to insure longevity. Would recommend this place to anyone needing service on equipment or purchasing new as well!!!!
Terrible customer service. Avoid this place, terrible terrible terrible
Awesome place to have your outside lawn equipment repairs made.or a great place to find upgraded equipment and some refebish or sightly used .
I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN. Dropped off a chainsaw chain for sharpening on a Monday. I told the receptionist/cashier (and I guess owner from the reviews I have now read) that I needed it by that Wednesday afternoon. The gentleman that sharpens the chains happened to be out front and they both said no problem to have it ready by Wednesday afternoon. I called Wednesday afternoon to see if my chain was ready for pick up before driving over there. The lady told me that their sharpening machine was down and they were really backed up on getting chains sharpened and the chain would not be ready until the next Monday at the earliest. When I reminded her that I just dropped it off on Monday she then claimed that she didnt know what goes on in the back shop when she made the promise. I reminded her that the man who sharpens the chains also said Wednesday would work and then she went into a story about a new sharpening machine and that he needed to get the settings right. SO SHE DID KNOW what was going on in the back. I had to buy a chain on that Wednesday and did not buy from them. After my chain was ready I didnt need it right away because I had a new one. After roughly 30 days I got a snarky message on a Thursday that my chain would be sold the following Monday if I didnt pick it up. Luckily I went to their shop that day because there was a sign on the door that said they would be closed on that Friday so I would have had to go there when they opened on the Monday to get my chain before it was sold. When picking up the chain she made a snide comment about not knowing why I havent picked up the chain yet and what happened to me. I reminded her that they did not sharpen my chain by the time promised and I had to buy another one.....therefore I was not in a rush to pick up the sharpened one. After that comment you could hear crickets. She had no comment. No apology and no offer to discount the price for not delivering on time. Just the way she treats you there is an superiority undertone or maybe it is just the fact that she probably doesnt care about the clientele. Not a good business model.
I have been coming here for over 20 years. I wouldnt go anywhere else. Always helping me out. Thanks you guys are the best!!
The last two visits to burlap have been successful when searching for certain parts for my mowers she has them in stock does not have to order them and knows exactly what you need was very pleased to call her and within 10 minutes showed up to purchase what I needed she had it waiting there for me great customer service thanks Laura.
Terrible customer service the other poor reviews on this lawn mower repair shop are very accurate, except I didnt argue with her. I took it on the chin.Mrs. Ayers has poor customer service. She probably doesnt care and has the attitude of we get enough business between the Landscape company and this shop that it just doesnt matter. I guess after 20 plus years in the business, thats the attitude you get. Its like shes just over it.When I was in there I just took her attitude didnt say a word, paid my bill and thought to myself.... I am never coming back here. Now I drive way out of my way across town to Rhinos Turf shop where the customer service is great, prices are the same. Better warranties and just an all round better buying experience. I work to hard for my money to give business to someone that acts like that to people.
I brought my Makita saw in and it was dead. You brought it back to life and got me working again. You guys are the best.
Great Store, Great Prices, Great Support! They will get you what you need for all of your landscaping efforts and results. The owners are incredibly kind and generous people who really work on empowering their local community
Did a good job on my lawnmower. It runs great. A little expensive, but worth it.
Super friendly and helpfu
I had to give them one star - However that is overly generous. I had a Gas Powered Lawn Blower (around a $100 new on The Net) that would not start. So I stopped by here and the woman at the counter immediately started making out a tag without any explanation. So I asked - it may just be a plug and what would be the charge. Then I was told the Rate was $ 60.00 per hour with a minimum of one hour plus parts - still she did not mention the completion date. So I told her no thank you I could purchase a new blower. Which all would have been OK if she said in the Beginning the Rate. So just for kicks I checked around and found DNM Lawnmower Repair at 1119 N Nellis and was met by a very helpful Proprietor that said if it was just a spark plug $ 10.00, if it was a carburetor problem it would be around $ 40.00 to fix while I waited, however if it was a compression problem - it would be useless. After some testing he found it was a compression problem and when I asked him what I owed him he said Nothing. So I asked him if he had a used one - and sure enough it tested out fine and I gave him $ 40.00. DNM is a long established reputable business and I cannot recommend them highly enough.
Be careful with this place..... if you pay for a extended protection plan from Home Depot or Sears you should be cover for any breakdown of your equipment (pressure washer, air compressor, etc), the lady at this place has a very bad attitude and she want you to pay $40, because her argument is this extended warranties or extended protection plans are a lie and dont cover the repair..... Home Depot and Sears tell you to take your equipment to this place and they dont realize is a big scam happening..... they are robbing costumers...
Needed a fuel tank part for a older coleman generator thought i needed a complete tank but after talking to the helpfull lady we figured out all i needed was a rubber gromet they had them in stock installed it in the tank and fixed the leak thank you burlap if i ever need any more small eng parts you will be the first ones i will call fast service and they DONT screw you around very honest shop
I originally took my lawn mower there for what I thought would be a warranty repair. I was pleased with the repair even though it wasnt under warranty and I had to pay to the tune of $90 out the door.A little over a month later, my mower malfunctioned. I called the store thinking someone could help me and I got Mrs. Ayers. She claims that she is the owner of the store and her customer service skills are non-existent. This interaction was mild but I could immediately tell that she was volatile. She told me that due to the fact of the mower sitting for a month since its last use, condensation had built up in the gas tank and water had diluted the gas causing the malfunction. I was prompted to always keep the tank full.I wasnt informed of this when I picked up the mower from the initial repair. I called around as this seemed like sketchy advice. Four other reputable shops informed me that this couldnt be the case due to thermodynamics. The average low temp in Las Vegas over the last four weeks was in the high 50s and the dewpoint was in the mid 30s. In order to get condensation, the gas or ambient air would have to be in the mid 30s to achieve dew.I called an let her know that without knowledge of what was the issue and that they wouldnt get the repair due to warranty of work, four other shops disproved her advice. My third call found to be less friendly as I couldnt get a word in as Mrs. Ayers insisted on screaming the whole conversation. This resulted in me talking louder due to not being able to get a word in.I let her know that if keeping the gas tank full were an important piece of information, why didnt they tell me to do such a thing when I originally picked up the first repair? She told me that I needed to read the manual. I was informed to use the proper gas, stabilizer, why the mower had malfunctioned but they did not tell me how to keep the mower from malfunctioning again? When asked why again, she blew up and told me its not her job to make sure I know how the mower works. If this shop is full of professionals, why would they let me leave knowing that I had relied on their advice and that they had left out what would keep the mower running. At the end of being put on hold twice and screamed at for ten minutes about how she gave me options but that if I brought the mower in again and they performed the repairs, I would be charged due to warranty being only 30 days despite one use since repair, I was hung up on.SAVE YOUR MONEY!! DONT GO HERE!! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS AND MRS. AYERS JUST WANTS SOMEONE TO SCREAM AT!!I cant believe that they would handle their customers issues like this. I will never be back and I will do my best to let everyone know that they are the worst company in town.
Fast and friendly! Took care of my Ryobi string trimmer problem without any problem!
Came in with an old broken part in my hand. They new exactly what it was and before I could thank you. They had it sitting on the counter for me to get on my way.
L customer. Service. Out standing.
