The deals are so great at this place that they are set as my homepage. This place not having ammo is like Vegas when it snows. Very rare. I go here before I start my ammo hunt and usually end it here as soon as I visit. Gun prices and selection are even better. Staff is top notch and super friendly. With it not being a walk-in type store, you really do get their undivided attention and help. Stop here before you stop anywhere. You wont regret it.

Yes, I did the most terrible thing according to the crabby lady who came out on her lunch break with an attitude. I showed up without an appointment, heaven forbid. She acted like I was the dumbest person on the planet she acted as if showing up to see the inventory in person like we do in all the other gun stores here in Vegas was idiotic. Sorry maam your system is the only dumb thing going here, and saying it with the poorest meanest, belittling attitude ever, Id never buy a thing from this store. At the very least have a better approach.

I used to buy all my guns from here. Always had a good experience. Now theyre the only store in Nevada that will not accept a valid state ID to purchase a firearm. Will never recommend them again. Especially after I bought three four different guns from them

This place is legit. Clean and the layout is very cool. The area for the inventory is further back in the store, so the customers in the front doing paperwork, etc, arent burdened with hearing whats going on in the back. I got there at 11:00 and was out within 30 minutes of purchasing and paperwork of the pistol I was seeking.Ill definitely go back. The staff are all super professional.

I just happened to stop yesterday. As soon as I arrived I noticed it was by “appointment only”. When I grab the door handle a lady opened the door and I explained I did not know it was by appointment and I offered come back when I had one. She kindly let me in and had a gentleman help me. I met Chris who is very knowledgeable. I was on the fence on what to purchase and left empty handed. I was impressed with the great service and I will be returning to do business with these great people.

Excellent experience overall. They had the gun I wanted at a great price and the service was outstanding. What else can you ask for. They do sales by appointment only so you dont have to stand around a regular gun shop waiting for 30-40 minutes to talk to some one or see a gun because there are ten people in there and only two behind the counter. You dont feel rushed to inspect a gun or ask questions. Nice, friendly, knowledgeable folks that run a great store. Highly highly recommend.

Had my name on a waiting list for over two months for a gun, finally called them asking status and they said the gun is in stock. Asked why I was never called seeing I was first on the list, and the owners wife tells me that everyone was called on the list, but they had deleted all the names after the call... convenient. I told her I was never called and she starts with the attitude and basically tells me Im lying because her husband called everyone. The worst customer service especially for someone who was a return customer. A simple Im sorry would have done wonders. No more purchases from them... Learn some customer service skills.

Great experience. One afternoon I called to confirm that they had my firearm of interest and they quickly gave me an answer and the price. Without me having to bring it up, I was asked if I would like to schedule an appointment. With an appointment easily set up, I showed up on time the next day and was greeted at the door. I told them what I was looking for, I as shown the firearm, we discussed the features of it and began the paper work. Fast and easy paper work. Super quick background check. Paid and walked out the door with my new firearm. The staff there were very friendly and even asked how my family in Florida faired after hurricane Irma. I most definitely will consider buying from these fine people at this very professional location!

I wanted to say that Jim was cool, and relaxed. This approach and attitude immediately rubbed off on me, and put me at ease. I felt very comfortable, and ultimately it felt like I was talking to a friend about guns. I never once felt rushed. The process was never hurried. I felt like I had all the time in the world. Drove 30 minutes to visit Discount Gun Source during business hours posted on their website. Front door is locked so I started walking away. Lady opens the door and asks what I want. To buy a gun I say. Im with someone, do you want to make an appointment? SERIOUSLY? Im not buying a house or car. No come on in and have a seat or Come on in, Ill be happy to help you in a minute. Nothing. Customer service fail. I dont see how DGS will stay in business unless this is just a hobby for the owners. Who makes an appointment to visit a gun store? Most successful gun stores I visit make it on a combination of good customer service AND volume. They need to post on their homepage Dont bother coming unless you have an appointment. Stupid business model if you ask me.Now the owner is making stuff up. The lady NEVER offered for me to come in and wait. Dont say things that arent true just to cover yourself. Own up to it and move on. Too many good companies make simple mistakes and then try to cover it up. Customer service fail TWICE

Ive been to several gun stores around town and was almost ready to give up. Just because Im female doesnt mean I want a small gun or a pink one. I came across Discount Gun Source and after reading the reviews I gave them a shot. I called to find out they work by appointment so I set one up for an hour later. When I arrived I was greeted by a very friendly staff. I was asked to take a seat for a moment and 2 minutes later I was in the gun room. Chris helped me and instead of assuming what I wanted he asked questions to find out what would be right for me. What a concept talking to the customer to understand their needs instead of assuming I know nothing and handing me a pink gun. After handling many guns I decided on the PPQ 9mm. Next was the background check process which was done on a computer. The entire transaction took about 30 minutes. By far the best customer service Ive had in Las Vegas in a long long time. Thank you folks!!!!

Have purchased 2 firearms from this location in the past. I used to have respect for the husband and wife that run the business because they were very caring with helping me decide on my firearms. I visited the store again recently. This time on a professional level to drop off a a gift box to thank them for their services. Once the door opened, I was immediately dismissed by the wife who was very rude and quick to jump to conclusions that I was trying to sell something. The owner Jim didnt even say a word but shook his head in disapproval the first glance that I gave him. Ive never felt so disrespected by a place where I used to do business at. Ive realized that they only care about the customers money and not the customer.

I called early morning to make an appointment and was able to get squeezed in same day by the owner herself. That same day I Purchased my very first hand gun/firearm from DGS and I cant express enough how great the service was and how easy and understanding they made the whole process here. Im now ready for my second firearm purchase and will be scheduling my appointment as soon as possible as a returning customer.

Well I am 20 years old, and wanted a handgun in which I can legally open carry if received as a gift in which it was. Yesterday called in around 4 or 5 in the afternoon and spoke to a gentleman. I am a uncle looking to buy my nephew a handgun, how would I go about doing that and how do i put this is his name? The gentleman said: the easiest way would be to physically bring your nephew or do the gift thing and he could come and choose what he wanted. So the next day (today) I arrive at the store at 11 am to choose my gift after research and where its legal. They let me in the store and we immediately get the gun I wanted and I was just waiting on my uncle. He comes in the lady asks: Are you his father? and we both said no and she established it has to be a parent and we understood and left. 30 minutes later I called back because I was going to have my mother just come with me and I let the lady know who was helping us before and she asked did we have the same last name and I told her no her maiden name is battle and she was married as Hooper and the lady cut me off and said thats not what she was asking and immediately said she was uncomfortable with selling which was rude but understandable at the time. The only parent that has the same last name as me(City which is very uncommon) is my dad who is deceased. So I offered to the lady what if I were to bring legal documentations such as birth certificate with her and my name on it and state i.ds and also my mom works in law enforcement as a corrections officer at the womens prison here in Las Vegas. I honestly felt like I was banned from their store by follow their directions and suggestions and not clear of why I was turned down from#being serviced. Overall was a bad experience.Now a little concerned why a civilized conversation has to do with a remark being inappropriate to the public? Unless I am missing the real reason why I was not serviced??? Why the transaction didnt happen understandable but I just felt like I got banned from the place.

I have used them for 3 FFL transfers, and the process was quick and easy.On my last visit, I saw new S & W they just got in, and after handling it a bit, I had to have it...I will be picking it up on Saturday.With DGs prices this good, I dont think Ill be doing many more on-line purchases.Update: Picked up my firearm...perfect!. Also found out they have GREAT prices on ammo. Great job, guys!

DGS (Discount Gun Source) is by far the lowest priced gun shop in metro Las Vegas. I only saw one handgun that was 2 bucks cheaper at another store. With that said, no one can touch their prices and other shops tell me I dont know how they can sell their guns below, what I buy them as a dealer Well, they do. Very nice and clean shop with fabulous customer service and a friendly staff. All sales are by appointment only, but that is no big deal when youre saving 30 bucks on a handgun. Made an appointment to look at some Glocks . Immediately felt very comfortable and welcomed by all the staff. I really liked the fact that an appointment was needed to check out merchandise so it was more of a personal experience and you never felt drowned out by other customers in the store. Overall process was quick and painless and the prices are very reasonable. Thanks DGS, will be a returning customer for sure .

Purchased a brand new S&W SD9VE from DGS about 2 months ago. Their customer service was excellent and very informative. They didnt use USED CAR SALESMAN tactics and did not try to bully you into buying the most expensive firearm. Meetings by appointment only which is nice for 1 on 1 individual attention. By far the best pricing in town that I have found so far! Will definitely continue to do business with them in the future.

Friendly and informative staff. While the by appointment only was a bit weird, i really enjoyed the one on one experience. For being a privately owned store they have a big inventory. But tend to only carry higher quality guns, which isnt necessarily a bad thing. Prices wernt jaw dropping good. But honest every low day prices which i respect. Cant ask much more for a local gun store and look forward to my next purchase.
