Lovely store with a good selection of acoustic and electric (covid has everyone short for merch) amps, pedals, strings anything you could need.Jesse, the owner is helpful. Donβt make the big box guys more money. Keep small businesses going by visiting places like J&G to spend your hard earned π°.
Sick store. They have some nice ESPs so I think I wanna pick up one of those sometime in the near future. Very clean, great music playing and really nice atmosphere. The guys working there are professional and very nice. Will return.
Here visiting from Dallas. Love the shop, really nice guitars and super friendly staff. Eric made me feel very welcome and enjoyed chatting with him. A must stop for musicians visiting Vegas, as well as Im sure the locals love this shop compared to the big chain music stores. Two thumbs up for J&E Guitars!!
Jessie was very helpful and kind. Nice selection and you can jam/test guitars without the feeling of being rushed. Definitely check this shop out.
J&E Guitars, cities best store I guessed. They have the best quality guitars and different varieties with quality standard. Customer service is also best and the price is reasonable in comparison to others.
Best place for acoustic from my perspective. This place is quite good for acoustic guitar. There are a lots of variations and designs. And also the staff are so friendly.
Great guitar buying experience. The employees were friendly and helpful. The store was clean and the guitars were well taken care of. I would like to have seen a larger selection but most stores inventories are low during these times, which can be expected. I still found a guitar that I liked for a great price. Thanks!
Wonderful shop! I called at approximately one oβclock for a set up on an Telecaster and not only were they able to get me in today they completed the job the same day. Beautiful set up, plays like a dream. Great prices too.
Never once have i been disappointed shopping here. They always have a new stock of different types and brands of guitars. And lets not forget the awesome collection of acoustic guitars. If they dont have what youre looking for maybe ask Jesse or Eric for some help. Eric has also done a bunch of repairs for me also.
Great place! Great staff!
Brought in a used accoustic I picked up that was buzzing all over the place. The guys were helpful and fixed the guitar in a day for what I considered to be a reasonably fair price. Guys are knowledgeable and easy to get along with.
I took my Les Pauls to J&E yesterday for a set up. They got to work right away and kept me updated through out the day. I had both of my guitars back by the end of the day. My guitar plays better than when it left the Gibson factory. My second guitar had an issue that came out of the box. Fortunately I received it 2 days ago and I was able to send it back. These guys are 100%. If you want top notch service and not be treated like an ATM or ignored. Avoid the big box stores and get the your moneys worth. Go see J&E. These guys truly Rock!!
Yikes. Called about a neck adjustment on my bass and ended up getting a condescending earful about humidifying my guitars. Coming from customer service Im appalled theyre still in business. These guys need to work on their people skills.
Have checked out this shop a number of times and all I can say is that its a weird place.Their guitars are locked on the wall with wires so you cant pick them up. The attitude of the staff is strange. They seem like they really dont want to be there. When engaged, they become annoyed, sarcastic and/or condescending.I know people have bad days, but out of the hand full of times Ive come to this shop, Its been some kind of weird every time.
Ask life guitars very clean nice looking place
The best service and good price
Stopped in today looking for an xlr cable not necessarily sure if they would have one but why not try? Not only did they have one that was the perfect size but it was way cheaper than it would have been elsewhere. Friendly, funny customer service! Definitely going to come back.
Ordered online, got exactly what I wanted and it came super fast. Guitar was perfectly setup and intonated.
Places like this should be standard throughout the industry. This is what your ideal guitar/guitar supply store looks like.
Over priced. Waste your time
After reading some of the negative reviews, I feel moved to leave a review of my own. I also was ignored when I first came in, however, when I engaged the owner in a FRIENDLY manner, asked intelligent questions, and praised the uniqueness and rare quality of their stock, he opened up about his business and shared some amazing stories, complete with pictures, about some of the vintage equipment that had passed through his hands. This is a no nonsense store for professional musicians and vintage collectors. if you want mediocre, beginner equipment, you Should go to Guitar Center; but, if you are looking for hard to find, high quality, unusual music making gear, this place is a breath of fresh air .
One of the most respectable businesses Ive ever been to. The staff has helped us out multiple times for simple needs and they helped me get a guitar that is currently my favorite of the few I own. The selection they have is amazing, and the owners are probably some of the nicest people Ive met. One downside to this shop is the bass selection being so little, but it isnt a Guitar Center or a Sam Ash. If youre looking for a guitar in Vegas, I suggest checking out this shop. Very respectable business and a wonderful selection of instruments.
Eric and Jesse run an excellent store. Jesse dialed in my Gibson 70s tribute and suggested which pickup would fit my needs. He was spot on and by replacing the dirty fingers pickups with pearly gates Ive been inspired by the amazing tone this guitar now has. Also he resurrected my first piece of junk Washburn bass into a beast by replacing cheap pickups with quarter pounders and an absolute perfect setup with new pots and strings it sounds as if not better than some of my high end basses. Its an honor to have these guys around I will be back!
Iβm glad I stopped by last weekend. Jesse has a great inventory and lots of great stories from his time in the music industry. You wonβt find many guitars shops better than J & E.
Beautiful instruments. I enjoyed talking to the owner about guitars and such. Very good experience and a nice store. Nice people there
They setup 2 of my guitars and they are perfect. Couldnt have asked for better service. Their stock of guitars is also impressive.
First let me say this. Any negative review you read of this shop is from a competitor down the street who has one of the worst shops I have ever seen. Now that being said. I have known Jesse and Eric for a long time. I bought guitars from Jesse before he opened this shop. I am a long time customer. The shop is great with a variety of not your typical brands which is great. Its great to see some of the smaller brands represented here and not your standards. As for the comment about plugging in an amp for you.... Thats called customer service. Its like the old days when people used to pump your gas for you. The customer service at J&E has always been rock solid. Jesse and Eric are experts in the business and anyone that says otherwise is just jealous of their success.
This store has to be the best privately owned guitar and amp store in Clark County! Ive never seen a store here with so many quality guitars and amps! I met Eric and Jesse and they are so easy and interesting to talk with about their store and they dont hover or push anything. Its a great place!
I rarely give bad reviews, but I have to make an exception today.Immediately upon arriving with my wife and child, the clear look of here comes some Guitar Center jackass to waste my time... was on the face of the employee.I am a master musician and can play all stringed instruments. I also build electrics from the ground up.. not to mention, I have an excellent career and can afford any guitar/amp they posses..They have excellent stock but ALL the instruments are securely locked up on the wall. You WILL be treated like a pleabian. If you want to play a guitar, be prepared to be loomed over and looked down upon.It was the most cliche guitar store experience Ive ever had.Good Luck!
An excellent guitar and amp store. Very knowledgeable. Steered me to a new guitar brand, and I am very pleased.
Really good I got my dream guitar here
Were lucky the have Gil, best set up and service Ive ever received from a guitar repair shop. Not only is he experienced, he really cares about doing the best job possible and he delivers!Jessie and Eric are really knowledgeable about guitars and gear, very helpful, this is a great shop!
In 1945 my father bought me my first guitar which I still have. J & E restored it and it sounds more beautiful than it did years ago! Its nice to have someone you can trust with a family heirloom who has a passion for and excellence in their workmanship!Thank you J & E!
I felt more welcome in guitar center on their busiest day than i did at this store that has no customers when i walked in. I feel like the customer service here needs a serious overhaul. The gentlemen that work here dont seem too keen on helping novice or amateur guitar players. Nor do they feel like providing any decent customer service to those looking around. Almost every question i asked was met with rolled eyes, or a disgruntled huff.I will also say that the selection they have, while very amazing, is quite expensive. This store is not for those on a budget, nor for someone who is looking for a simple jam guitar. Almost ever single guitar i looked at in this store was vintage, one of a kind, or a high priced name. Maybe 1 or 2 guitars that i saw below 600 dollars. I am not knocking their inventory, i just wish it was tailored to more players, rather than professionals, aficionados, and rare collectors.I would not recommend this store to anyone other than snobby collectors.
I went into this store, a while back, and got the same cold attitude, like they didnt need my business. They are probably right, but dont open a store, if you are going to pick and choose who you want to help in that store. I asked all the intelligent questions, what ever the hell that means, and I didnt know you had to act nicely to them, just to get service. If you want a better deal, without having to kiss someones butt, go to Sam Ash. All you will read here is fake comments, from their friends, about how great they are. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. Anywhere else. If they get enough real ratings, theyll probably change their attitude, but I doubt it. The guitars are excellent, but way over priced. It seemed like they only had certain brand names on purpose. Its their store and their choice, just like who they sell to. I will never go back to this one, or recommend it. good luck.
I went here to check out a Reverend guitar. So first, kudos to them for carrying brands such as Reverend. However, the staff was less than welcoming. When I asked to play one of them, the sales person had to set up the amp for me, which was a little annoying. I mean, okay... fine. I get it. Its not Guitar Center where any 16 year old can walk in off the street and play Metallica riffs on a $1,000 guitar they have no intention of buying. But I was literally the only customer in the store. I know how to plug a guitar into an amp and turn it on... but whatever. Then, if that wasnt annoying enough, the sales rep literally stood right behind me while I was trying it out. Im like, seriously? Can you give me some space? If Im going to drop almost a grand for a guitar Im going to be here a while. Why dont you go back behind your counter thats 20 feet away. You can glare at me over there to make sure I dont ding anything. The rep made me feel like I was a two year old holding a glass guitar. But, I gave him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he was standing there to answer any questions I had. So, to cut some of the awkward tension he was causing, I decided to allow him to do his job. I asked him, what would you say are the differences between the Buckshot and the Double Agent? His reply... different pickups. Wow... thanks man. Didnt catch that one. Care to elaborate? What are the tonal qualities of those pickups? Maybe give some specs on them? All around, a very odd experience.
If you are looking for awesome gear at a good price this is the place. They are very helpful and informative. Hardly any places in town carry a variety of tubes if you need replacement tubes this is the place to go.
I went here last minute as my guitar needed a desperate setup due to a scheduled last minute recording session. I quickly regretted the decision. I asked if the guitar tech could put on Ernie Ball 12s for my guitar, the tech took the liberty to use strings that I had been saving for my 8-string guitar. These were not the strings I had asked for to be put on, and he did modifications to my guitar I did not approve of. His response? Well, you didnt complain when you played it. The nut on my guitar is sawed to a point I cant put thinner strings on. I have adjusted the neck and saddles on my guitar, to no avail. Unfortunately, my guitar is currently unusable at the moment till I can buy a new nut as well as pay for a proper setup by someone more professional.
Awesome staff great guitars awesome prices
Great to have a high end guitar store on the East side of town! Eric is super knowledgeable and let me jam for about 20 minutes with no pressure...
Great store! Jesse was extremely helpful and patient. This store owns their craft! I canβt put my new Gretsch Electromatic down! π΅πΈπΆ
I travel quite a bit with my job, and try to visit all the independent guitar stores I can. I read the reviews on J&E Guitars when I was in Las Vegas this past week, and was intrigued. So, I decided to pay them a visit. Upon walking in the door, I was immediately greeted by Jesse. He asked if I needed any assistance in finding anything in particular. I told him, I just wanted to take a look around. He told me to take my time, and feel free to ask any questions when ready. I like that. I didnt feel pressured, or stalked. First off, the store is beautiful and super clean. The gear is definitely the best Las Vegas has to offer. Lots of great gear. Guitars, basses, amps, effects. Mostly high end and boutique stuff. They do also have a decent selection of lower priced gear. All perfectly displayed. I seen guitars starting at around $200.00, and going as high as $15000.00. Their pedal selection was great. Everything you dont see at the big box stores. I finally asked a question about a Collings guitar that caught my eye. Jesse came right over, answered all my questions, pulled it off the wall for me, made sure it was in tune before handing it to me, then told me to take my time and see if I really loved it. I was impressed by the low pressure sales. I felt relaxed. I played the guitar for about 20 minutes, and had to have it. We worked out a deal for the guitar, and some accessories. They checked the guitar for me on the spot. Polished it, and put in the case for me. Since I dont live in Las Vegas, they offered to ship it to my home for FREE, and I didnt have to pay Nevada sales tax. Made my day. All in all Jesse and Eric made my visit very enjoyable. They are professionals, and have a great shop. I seen a couple of bad reviews on here for them. I think they are way out of line. If you cant appreciate good gear, and a professional atmosphere, stick to the bog box stores. Some guy on here was mad because the guitars were locked up. If I sold guitars that expensive, Id lock them up too. Get over yourself. Another guy didnt get his price and wrote a bad review. You cant always get what you want. This store gets my seal of approval. I highly recommend J&E Guitars.
Wonderful gear and very knowledgeable staff. Great repair shop as well. Above all, very personable staff that cares about their customers. Highly recommended.
I have been looking for a new guitar for the past 3 months. Being it is going to be a present for myself and a life long purchase, I wanted to take my time, do lots of homework, and feel comfortable about the experience. I spoke to Jesse on the phone and I dealt with Eric most of the time but Jesse helped me out a lot also. I had time, they had the experience and knowledge and they were patient with me. I wound up buying a Fender Custom Shop Strat that was uniquely put together to their specs...... A fine instrument and definite keeper for me for my lifetime. In addition I am shopping for an acoustic guitar also..... never heard of Collings before I went in.... Now with the additional time and research... I will be back to get me one in the near future...... Stop by and check them out.... They are a custom shop they are very personable. You will be taken care of...... At least I felt that way..... definitely,
Awesome place, Jesse is very knowledgeable. Definitely the place to go for all your guitar needs.
Eric is one of the best guitar techs Iβve ever seenππ»
Great shop, fantastic guitars, helpful staff!
Intimate guitar shop with exclusive gear, phenomenal staff and shop!
Got my fender customshop stratocaster and its perfect ! A keeper for sure... Thanks !
I love this shop. Great selection of guitars and equipment the bigger stores donβt carry. One of the best things is they carry Nash guitars. And thanks to them I now own 2 that I bought from them haha. And they had this thing Iβd never seen before called a SoloStation. Like a barstool on steroids for the gigging guitar player. Pretty damn cool. Big thanks to Jesse and Eric
I wanted to love J&E guitars. Its a local music shop packed to the gills with gorgeous guitars. But I was really let down by the customer service here.I walked in with a budget of $2500 and the intention to walk out with a new guitar. One of the owners, Jesse, was having a conversation with someone I assume was a friend or a regular about aftermarket pickups. Cool. Im a major gear nerd and a lot of times I end up asking questions about specs that salespeople at larger and less specialized stores cant answer. So it was nice to walk in and recognize immediately that the person selling to me knows their stuff.I asked Jesse about his opinion of the American Elite Stratocaster and the vibe I got immediately was that I was interrupting his conversation. He gave me his honest opinion about them, told me they dont carry that particular line, and pointed out an American Origial 50s strat on the wall. He kind of sighed and pulled it down for me. He did not offer to plug me into an amp to test it out. He stood close by and stared while I plucked out a few notes acoustically. I commented that the neck was a little thick for my taste, all he said was thats thick for you? When I told him that particular strat was not my cup of tea, he chuckled and said enjoy the elite then. When I commented that one of the teles on the wall was gorgeous but out of my price range he said yeah I just cleaned that. And its coming home with me tonight. A Christmas present to myself. Thats cool. He could have inquired what my budget was and pointed me toward another product, but he didnt. And after the last two comments it came off like he figured I was there to just jam on some high end guitars and had no intention to buy. So I left and went to Sam Ash (shout out to Marcus who was super helpful and friendly). This should have been the worlds easiest sale. But Jesse chose to come off like he was looking down his nose at me. In a market where I can go on Reverb and buy every product you have in your store, the only thing stopping me from doing so is the quality of your customer service. Even if you think the person standing in your shop is a fool who doesnt know anything about guitar, a fools money is just as green as anyone elses.
When I walked into the store it looked very impressive, but I wasnt very happy after being ignored for ten minutes. So I looked around for a while still no help? The prices seemed to be jacked up also.I asked for help and the guy behind the counter said that we will be with you in a few minutes. The least they could of done was acknowledge me at first and welcome myself and my wife.I felt uncomfortable and left the store and went to a few other places. I have yet to purchase a guitar but I will within the next week from somewhere else.
Once upon a time, I took a guitar to Sam Ash to get a pickup installed on a guitar, and it was installed horribly. A couple years ago, I took the same guitar to this shop to have a different pickup installed and the job was done perfectly by the tech, not sure who he was.
Jesse was super knowledgeable and I found that the hand-picked selection of guitars at J & E really differentiated this shop from the other big box stores.
Brought a guitar in that a few issues, the store wasnt busy so they did quick repairs on the spot. The price was more than fair and now my guitar is finally back to normal after about 7 years of having issues.
Hey Hey super Kool super nice store came in about three years ago, for a look, thought the store was Primo, very clean good selection nice service reminded me a little like my favorite guitar shop in Santa Fe NM (Strings and Things) Some people have commented on the prices, but as I have found out you get for what you pay for This is a store for guitar players not for show offs or want to beβs . Everything is locked down which is great, donβt want any one or someoneβs dumb kid misplacing a 4000.00 Tele ( like tump or crash or scratch- then looking at you with aDumb face and saying oops sorry my bad) This year I purchased a Gretsch Acoustic tried it out asked if he could do some adjusting, he said no problem with great attitude, very service minded. I guess Iβll be coming back when ever lam in town, these guys got themselves a new customer. Thanks for everything ( the guitar the strings and the T-shirts) see you next year ππΆπΈπΆ
Nice selection, good prices, friendly staff.
Always friendly and helpful. Nice selection of high end gear.
My boyfriend stops in occasionally to play guitar. He enjoys it there
Great guitars and great people! A real pro shop the way it should be!
Nice place to pick-up some special Guitars.
Super-helpful staff with a deep knowledge of guitars, amps, and effects. I go to them every time before walking into Big Box Music Center.
Huge selection, really nice place to visit.
First class operation. Thank you for the great service!
Good place to buy guitar strings.
The best shop in Vegas, if youre looking for quality products and experienced service. The best boutique pedals available. A great selection of high end amps, and dont get me started on the guitars and basses. All the great stuff you do not see anywhere else. McPherson, Collings, Santa Cruz, Fender Masterbuilt, Bogner, Carr, Mesa Boogie, etc. More than I can remember. The staff greeted me as I walked in. Asked if I needed assistance. I told them I was just looking, they told me to look around and let them know if I needed anything. No high pressure sales. No one hanging over my shoulder. When I asked for help with some pedals, they made recommendations. I tried 3 pedals, and decided on an Archer Ikon. Overall, a great experience. I would definitely recommend this shop if youre looking for quality and pro no pressure service. I read a couple of negative reviews on here, and I have no idea where they got their opinions. Some guy basically complained that they dont sell the same low quality products as the big box stores. Really? I say, GOOD! Thank you J&E Guitars. I will be back.
J&E guitars top shelve guitars amps any question you have they have the answer ππ.
Great service for a great price
I just went to the store, the employer took a guitar and showed me how it sounds with an amplifier, and he told me what would be best for me.
Had exactly what I needed
Dont dare ask these guys a question about a guitar on social media or they will berate you and delete the thread.
