Visited this store because who doesnt love 99cent stores. Shelves were stocked and I found so much at a great value. I dont know the area because Im from out of town but it didnt seem all that bad to me like others say. Cashier was very nice and efficient. Employees I encountered were polite. Security guard was cute 😉 Tried getting the digits but he was busy chasing someone out the back door 😆. I would definitely come back when I visit again. Entertainment and good service!

Great company, great employees, great value for the $$$. This place has a majority of everyday items a person needs at a highly reasonable rate. The Companys fruits also have an awesome quality for the value of $$. I appreciate this store and the similar stores with the products for the cheap. I see this and many similar taking off as inflation rises and gets out of control. Buy stock in the parent company. Twenty years ago, this store was a lot less popular. Continued increase in Cost-of-living will continue to generate my new customers and continued return of old customers.

There were only two shopping 🛒 carts, for the whole store. Because of theft of shopping carts.

Okay hire more checkers and clean that produce section I always find rotting veggies.

This was a nice and friendly store and the cashier the young black man with the blond hair. He was extremely kind one of the best cashiers Ive ever had.

It was pretty well stocked. They had plenty of fresh veggies. I got some locking containers that were $2.49 which was a good deal, also left overs, plastic containers that are microwavable & soup containerswith leak proof lids. They come 8-12 in the bag for $2.99. A good deal because you can re-use them.The store was clean, everyone had there mask on and they staff was helpful...thank you!

Worse store in the state of Nevada. Associates (African American women) have the worse & nastiest attitudes. I really hate going there but its right in my neighborhood and I like the products.

They have everything one might need to purchase from a 99 Cents Store if lacking another store nearby. They are always well stocked despite the heavy customer traffic, which is frequent. Unfortunately, the stores ability to deal with so many customers is deficient. My primary suggestion to remedy this would be to open more cash registers when needed, and it is often. The vagrants are never a problem, although they might make you feel uncomfortable walking into the store and ask you for change; but one issue is rude, overt customers who arent properly dealt with. This place has all the potential to be a great store without any of the motivation.

Sometimes the wait in line is a bit long but not a bother unless your in a hurry, staff is friendly and helpful, the hours of operation are perfect for people like me who are last minute shoppers. Thx 99cent store an staff.

Wifie and I are posted up, went to the Arts district with a couple of Caramel frappes. Enjoying all that God has given me.

Hey. A lot of good stuff for $1. All spices, candy, gum, salads, etc. Youll wind up spending a few bucks but it is worth it.

Very poor. This is the second time that Ive had an issue with this particular 99¢ store, on Charleston and Maryland. The first time, I counted as a lost and moved on. But yesterday was different, because this time it was my wife who is new to this country and loves to shop at this particular 99¢ store. Long story short, our total amount for our purchase came to $31.97 and my wife paid $35.00 in cash. The cashier name Jessica, claimed that there was an error with the cash register and that my wife gave her $30.00. When I asked Jessica about it, she laughed. I hope that it was worth it for her. I told my wife that she is never to go back there again. Very unsatisfied and disappointed, but unfortunately not surprised. 👎

Sketchy area but inside is surprisingly clean and well organized. Stocked a lot better than the 2 in my neighborhood.

The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable! Consequently, security is not entirely as knowledgeable - the polite gentleman security staff rendered me the incorrect price of 16 oz coffee creamer. Not entirely all items with the Great Value logo marked $1.99, $2.99 & higher are those prices - thus leading customers and unaware staff that they are the price of me Ive 99 cents. No worries! Security guard was fYNE🔥 as SMooTh SiLkY caramel! soO he gets a pass...😈😉😎 basically a good store and much needed on the East Coast

Got a lot of can food on my ebt card and spent $63.00 and if I gone to the supermarket I would have spent over $100. On can food . 99 cent store I love it just one bus to go and come back and walk two block and Im there.

This was a good pic for me there was a small line. But when I got in it was not crowded I was able to pick my items at ease hit the check Stan and got out quick

This store is always dirty and the shelves are poorly stocked. There were stocking carts left in the isles and not enough checkers for the amount of people in there.

Great shopping

Always a new adventure at the 99. Wear a mask day, stand 6 feet from others day, no public restroom for shoppers day. Didnt find items I normally get, got the basics I wont buy at a grocery store, its always give and take, and through it all, their staff have the nicest, most awesome attitudes of anywhere within the neighborhood. Thats a big reason why I always go back, and the 7 bags of basics for $28!

I gave it a three because you get products for the low low. And sometimes you dont need to pay big for a pitcher or cup or seasoning. I would have gave it a one or 2, but you cant beat the prices. Their lines are long. Some customer service people are just there to make money, nothing more. Its maybe clean but it always looks dirty. But the prices tho!!! Its not a place I recommend, but those prices makes it one of those You could go to the 99 cents store, just be prepared for anything and everything else.

Not enough help decide to leave store and get nothing

They get 1 star ONLY because theres no lower rating. This place is absolutely horrid. The employees would rather talk about their night at the club than do their job. The shelved are in total disarray there will be upwards of a hundred customers and 12 to 14 employees on duty but only 1 register will be open. DO NOT shop at thi 99 cent store!

Its a very covinius place. Some stuff very cheap. Like hand sanitizer and all that stuff to protect you against the virus very cheap. And there are a lot of variety of merchandise that really you need, for a good price.

I need to use the bathroom and they said no I think any female should hold her urge to go to the bathroom they said not a public restroom men can hold it and they cant go to any hidden place and use it but a female cannot I dont understand since when no public restroom for customers

If ever you need to run in for just a few things and are in somewhat of a hurry might as well forget it. More often than not there are only 2 cashiers and the lines are sometimes 7+ customers long. Dont get me wrong as this store has a great selection of fruits&vegetables, grocery items great selection, hygiene & household items good selection, and can find popular name brands on every day items, if you cone early. I enjoy shopping here and get along well with the team members a few of which are of the LGBT community and I enjoy seeing and talking to them daily. Spreading happiness and sharing my love of all people. Diversity works well at this location. 2 thumbs up otherwise. Open minded and happy. God bless

I love to shop here. Most items are easy to get to & to reach. There r enuf fresh, frozen, & canned items to make healthful,filling meals. School & office supplies are available year round. There are tools, cleaning supplies, OTC medicines, storage containers, even dishes & cookware. Usually checking out & paying for your items is quick, but occasionally the lines are longer than 4-5 customers apiece & it can take a few minutes longer than necessary to locate an additional checker.

Absolutely horrible!! I understand short staffed..But damn

I LOVE this store...customer service excellent... some people might think this is a ghetto store because of the location..Not so. its a community store that is well served, and Ive lived in very some diversed areas. I especially want to give a shout to the BEST employee and manager Ramon. He is the reason I shop there.

This store in particular has the same trouble like Burger King, too many homeless around, sadly without any prejudice against anybody.

This is actually my second time visiting this location. I live down the road now and its just a convenient place. The first time there was no carts. The store wasnt even that full so Im not sure exactly where the carts were. This last time I saw plenty. Now typical 99 cant store to have to have a quarter to use the carts. Theres usually at least one guard if not two. The store is clean and organized well. Theres a surprisingly decent selection of various items. Even fresh produce. I will mention I saw a rotten yam just sitting but who knows why. I did have to ask for help and I got brushed off. However that was the only staff member I had issues with. Overall not bad little store.

Watch what you pick up, its not all .99c. But they are all pretty good deals.

The greeter was wearing his mask below his nose. No one was respecting social distance rules nor were the employees saying anything to people not wearing masksI prefer dollar tree and only go here when I absolutely have to.

Extremely busy great finds but far to many panhandlers

The security guard in this store was rude and nasty towards a man that appeared homeless trying to make a purchase. According to her he was taking too long. My son who is 14 noticed her rushing this old man and when I mentioned to her she really got heated. Rude is rude and I told her homeless is not hopeless. I can careless what area this store is....ghetto still is deserving of good customer service. Store was also VERY unorganized.

Nice and Clean

The manager and one black cashier said they can not break a hundred dollars unless you spend 5.00 and over. No sign stating that but both are to dumb for that to process to their small minds. Bad service and terrible attitude!!! Close the store down!!!!!

One of the best 99 cent store I have been in since the new management it has been very organized and clean and well managed. They have a big selection of products and there produce is always fresh this will definitely be my to go store when Im in short supply of anything

Love these stores. A lot of stuff to look at and unbelievably great prices. When you see some thing you want, you should get it as may not be there next visit. Stock changes regularly and seasonal. What really amazed me is the variety of food, toiletries, etc. Be advised: not everything is 99 cents ... It all ends in .99 but many items are $1.99 or more. I love this store.

Outstanding prices. Practically everything you need daily for a dollar. Highly recommend before doings your shopping. You will knock off most of what you need for only a dollar each or pennies more. Friendly service and chasiers. They keep the place clean. I havent tried their produce yet but it didnt look that fresh at 6:30pm

The store at Charleston and Maryland is the worst store it is absolutely disgustingly dirty and management is very rude and disrespectful to customers they also make you stand in line for about a half an hour and dont even open any new check stands visit was horrible

This is a good place for deals on different things that you want to buy. Some things are a little bit cheap, but most things are good, and groceries are fresh, its always busy here but you can get in and out fairly quickly, depending on which line you choose! Otherwise its a pretty good store.

Basically like any other 99 Cent Store theyre clean well-stocked and the employees are very friendly its a very busy parking lot theres the Burger King and an assortment of stores who all share the same parking lot which makes it exciting to get in and out of just enough to get your blood going not to mention the locals theyre a different breed altogether after all it is downtown in the lower-income area the 99 Cent store Front you off for change in your pocket because you need to pay for the shopping cart while youre at it you might as well dig for a few more quarters because youre bound to get hit up at least three times before you hit the front door I never make it out of that parking lot with any change and you cant say no because who knows someday you may be in that position yourself all in all its a good experience and adventure for your buck

Consistently rude check out experience. Not a hello, thank you or goodbye. And, another checker opened a new check stand while I was 4th in line but didnt bother getting the people already in line.I cant figure out how to reply to your comment, so I just edited. Thank you for replying. Ive lived in the area 22 years and have shopped at the 99 cent store hundreds of times. I would also like to mention that my bill that day was $94 (yeah... not even my record!) Instead of hearing that you hope I give it another chance, I would like to hear that you are going to properly train your staff in basic and logical customer service.

Im only going to give three stars because they didnt have cat litter.

Most of the items were exactly as advertised that is they were $0.99 a piece. The biggest part about the store that really bothered me was that the restrooms were not Public Access and the public was not allowed to use them.They had a lot of nice choices but the service personnel were not very friendly. My husband and I had fun here. We found a lot of things that we needed. It is doubtful that we will come back even though there were a lot of things that we liked.If you need some things really cheap and you want to find some good deals go ahead and come in but dont expect any good service.

One of the best 99 cents stores in town. This store is always stocked, organized and clean. Employees are helpful and nice. Management is doing a great job.

The staff are pleasant, however the homless hanging out outside begging for a hand out ruins the entire experience of leaving home! Ive been to this particular store a few times since I work in the area of downtown. To see the SAME Homeless each time standing there, knowing that the amount of time they spend standing there with there self entitled air of I deserve just destroys the welcome feeling.Yes, the store has security, no security does nothing to alleviate the situation.Yes, I know its a 99cent store. Doesnt mean anything, there are other stores with the same name WITHOUT the issue.
