Where do I begin? Dave at D & R House of Diamonds was all about customer service and satisfaction. I needed a custom engagement ring with 4 birthstones surrounding the diamond. We agreed on the design but it would take up to 14 working days to create. I needed it in less than 2 weeks for my proposal at Hawaii. He worked his magic and got it done beautifully.It doesn’t stop there. I needed the matching wedding band and I got it as designed 1 week from the wedding day. The only problem was it didn’t look like it matched. I panicked and called Dave immediately. He assured me he can fix the situation. I was skeptical because the wedding was near. He worked another miracle and modified the ring to the desired appearance in time. On top of that, he didn’t even charge me.WOW! He definitely got my confidence and future business.

Excellent service. Rich is really helpful and provides great, honest advice. Quality of work is very high and the prices are competitive. When we needed to change the size of some jewelry, a replacement was ordered at no cost and we were able to test drive both pieces until we were satisfied. I would love to share my journey in finding and creating the perfect engagement ring. Please keep in mind I am not a diamond expert and learned what I could through google. My now fiancee and I first went to Jareds to start searching for ideas and pricing. We soon realized that the ring we liked was initially in our price range until we found out that price did not include the center stone. We unfortunately did not take pictures but remembered the general style of the ring. I heard through the rumor mill that you could get a great deal on diamonds down in the diamond district of L.A. We traveled to L.A. and found another ring with almost an identical style previously found at Jareds. The price was great and included the center stone. I was adamant on a 1 carat center stone, so the dealer started showing us different center stones. We found what appeared to be several nice-looking stones, however the store stated that the diamond cuts were fair. They still looked nice underneath the nice lights in the store, but I had a funny feeling and I remember reading that fair was not the cut you wanted in a diamond. We did take plenty of pictures this time which what I suggest anyone do when you start shopping for a ring. I mulled over our experienced and decided to look local for assistance. I found D&R diamonds through google/yelp and made an appointment. I was introduced to Rich and after speaking with him for a short time I knew he was the man to help me complete my journey. He took time to explain what each characteristic meant when looking for diamonds and was dedicated to creating the perfect ring for me. He was able to create/customize a ring based on all the pictures we had taken previously. The center stone is really where you spend money and is the most important piece, sometimes the only piece of the stone. Rich flew in several different diamonds within my price range and educated me on each diamond. He took the time to show the diamonds in different lighting including going outside to compare differences in appearance. Rich is not satisfied until you are completely satisfied and treats everyone like they are buying a million-dollar stone. I truly appreciate his courtesy, education and honesty. I am so thankful to meet someone like him and recommend him to anyone I meet that is looking for a jeweler. I just proposed and am excited to finally bring my new fiancee to meet Rich, the man who made it all possible.

When I met Dave at my appointment it looked to me that he would be the one finally helping me choosing my ring. He was listening very attentively to me and was taking notes. we went to showroom and tried some sample rings. I liked one ring very much and since Dave was taking notes and knew my budget we agreed that the ring would be simple but I invest in a bigger stone. When I left his office I was happy and sure that I found the ring. But I didnt want to rash into it and wanted to take time to think about it.What I didnt like you will ask me? Because so far it looks perfect, right?So after sometime I emailed to Dave and started asking about specifications of the stone (cut, clarity, color, carat) that he would use for the ring. I was getting no response I emailed again to follow up. I also sent him an email with a different design idea to have him giving me a quote. I didnt get a response for that either.After about a week of no answer he finally called me and asked me why would I need specifications and I answered him that I want to know what I am buying because I have two friends and when they put their rings close to one another that is when you really see such a big difference and it is all about the quality of the stone. So I told Dave that my friend Lena knows a lot about diamonds and told me to make sure that I know the specification before buying the ring. That is when all of a sudden Dave started raising his voice and kind of yelling at me and being rude. He said: You know it takes time for me to quote you and answer you why dont you go to your friend and purchase your ring from her.I was in shock for a split of a second because I could not understand why he started talking to me like that.I answered him that my friend is not a jeweler but a housewife and I do not understand why he is sending me to her.All of a sudden he started to apologize saying he misunderstood and was feeling foolish. Well I think he had no right to be so rude anyway. Since he was feeling apologetic I had a chance to speak with him about the specifics of the stone for my ring. From our conversation it turned out that he DID NOT Remember what we spoke at our appointment and he HAD NO NOTES that he was taking. I asked him about the notes if he could read them to me because on the phone HE WAS SAYING ABSOLUTELY DIFFERENT THINGS (PRICE AND CARAT). His answer was I DO NOT HAVE THEM. So where are they? I spent over one hour discussing with you different scenarios. His answer was I DO NOT HAVE THEM.Well with a new offer on the phone that he was trying to make look like that it was exactly what we spoke in the office Daves services was KIND OF SUPER EXPENSIVE.This was a complete waste of my timeAfter this super bad experience I went to a local jewelry store in Henderson and BOUGHT my ring RIGHT AWAY. Because everything was great, the quality, the customer service. I asked soooo many questions and all of them were answered. I tried so many rings and different sets, the owner of the store was super nice and was explaining and showing different stone options. That is why the future I would go back and buy from them again.

DAVE PADGETT answered the phone and told me he would assist me even though I did not have an appointment. I showed him the gift shop earrings and asked him if he could duplicate the pair. Not only did Dave duplicate the earrings with beautiful stones, they were an exact copy of the gift shop earrings. I couldnt believe my eyes. Dave masterfully copied the earrings into an absolutely beautiful showpiece. He also created a pendant to match the earrings. To this day I am in awe of his creation. Dave is a genius. Dave is awesome, and extremely knowledgeable. I went into his store for have him clean and rhodium my husbands and I wedding rings. I dropped them off and he had them done faster than anyone else Ive ever dealt with. I had my rings back to me within 24 hours. Most stores you drop them off and it takes 5-7 days.Since I was in there, my hubby and I have considered getting with a work band (hes in construction). I dont want him to keep messing up his diamond band, so I got him a tungsten band. It was very reasonable priced and was beautiful. They have a huge selection and in stock with my husbands size.I will go back time and time again. If you are needing any repairs or looking to purchase any jewelry THESE ARE YOUR GUYS. Working with these guys was an awesome experience! I invested a lot of time searching online and in big box stores as I looked for an engagement ring. The prices were high and the people selling the jewelry always seemed more well-versed in finance options than in quality of the jewelry. These guys know their stuff and they cut out the high ball offers and got the quality and price that I was looking for.David sat with me, and gave me a crash course in diamonds and metals. He listened to what I was looking for and wasnt just trying to sell me something that he had in stock. He found really beautiful diamonds that had the attributes that were most important to me. He helped me design a custom ring for the love of my life and she loved it! We took a high end, designer engagement ring to Dave for resizing and he and his crew did an amazing job. Dave is so easy and pleasant to work with. We felt as though we were chatting with a friend rather than getting our ring resized. Resizing our engagement ring was a complex task, but we had no worries when we left it at D&R. True to his word, we picked up the ring and it was perfectly sized and impossible to tell the ring had to be virtually deconstructed to get it done. Let me preface that this review is long overdue…I wanted something unique for my engagement ring and knew that D&R made custom jewelry, so we set up an appointment with them. We ended up working with Dave for over a year (patient man!) for my engagement ring.One of the things that really exceeded my expectations is that Dave took time to really educate us and provide his experiences and insights to create the perfect ring. We talked about different cuts of diamonds, the color vs clarity, etc, as well as different metals. He made suggestions that were quite valuable. For example, baguettes typically cast a greyish shadow, simply because of how they’re cut. So if you have baguettes surrounding a big round solitaire, that may skew how the overall product may look.Of course, we shopped around at a couple other local places to find out the approximate cost for a similar ring, none of the other stores spent any time with us or even asked us any probing questions (quality of diamonds, what type of metal, etc). The price was also much higher.We’ve had the ring since last August, and I cannot stop staring at my beautiful ring!! The ring is superbly made, exactly what I wanted, and the sparkle on it is crazy. We have wedding photos where my hand is in the shadow, and all you can see is sparkle on my finger. Amazing.I’ve already told my husband that I want more jewelry made from Dave. I won’t go to anybody else for my jewelry needs. The price, quality, attention and care you receive are just unbeatable. Thank you Dave!!

Dave and rich are great people. I had the pleasure of speaking with rich in the lobby while waiting for dave to finish up with the appointment before mine.Dave was kind enough to educate on key charateristics to pay attention to on a diamond. Since i knew the cut i was looking for, he pulled out loose samples that they had on hand for me to look at, and explained his personal opinion of each choice. There happened to be one that stood out to me so i was lucky enough to pick the diamond on the first try.After picking the diamond we went on to the band/setting. There was some useful information that dave was able to provide for me regarding the difference of a few metal types. They have a huge selection of types of bands they can throw into their CAD system and custom design for you. I happened to have an image of the style i wanted, so he had a render produced for the band (took about a week due to intricate design). Once he was able to provide the rendering, they totally nailed the design and i approved. From approval it was about another 2 weeks until i got the ring.You dont have to do a custom design, i just preferred that method for my fiancee, as it was coming from me. They also have a beautiful selection of rings ready in their display case, so theres that route to consider as well.The best thing about the experience is that Dave never really treated me as a customer. He treated me as a friend and was genuinely helping me pick out the perfect ring.We will definitely be coming back for our wedding bands!

The ability to see different looks as he edited on the tv screen behind his desk was really helpful so I could visually see changes instead of having to use my imagination.
