I’m not from Las Vegas and live a few states away. I went to Vegas for a mini vacation and decided I was going to purchase a rust free and low mileage truck. Cynthia and Ray was a blessing to deal with. She kept me informed on the truck I wanted to purchase daily. I was able to do everything through my phone via emails and text. The process was extremely relaxed and easy! After leaving Vegas I drove back home to Illinois and turned and burned within a day to Florida! I literally put the truck to test and passed. This is a real hidden gem of a used car dealership. Dont be fooled by its small size or location. The owner Ray is fantastic and he made my experience the best Ive ever had in buying a truck. He is truly interested in making sure you are happy with your purchase. The big car dealers should be sending their sales personnel to learn from Ray. Ray was very helpful for me being a first time buyer!! He was there to answer every phone call I made which was multiple, he had an answer and an explanation for everything. Being a first time buyer with a tight budget and at a young age I havent received good service anywhere I went, but when I went to Sahara Auto Sales I felt very welcomed. Just bought my sons dream car, a Mustang, from Sahara Auto Sales and we are both happy with the car and our buying experience.Dealing with the owner, Ray and his assistant, Blanca, was a very good experience unlike with other used car dealers I have been to who have shown a lot of rudeness, arrogance and a take it or leave it attitude. Ray and Blanca were both very friendly and helpful. Ray was very honest about how he selects the cars he purchases and what he does prior to offering any car for sale. If the cars dont pass Rays requirements or testing, he wont sell them to the general public. He even provides a free Carfax on every car he sells.Ray wants good reviews and referrals in order to grow his business. The way to acquire those is by providing good cars to the public and being honest. Thats good business!I have never met Ray or Blanca before but after meeting and getting to know them a bit I felt comfortable with buying my sons dream car from them. Additionally, I now consider them as new friends.I would encourage anyone who is looking for a good used car to visit them. You will be happy with the experience. This small auto dealer is, by far, the most honest little place. They treat you with respect, their prices are great and their cars are amazing. I purchased an Explorer Sport Trac, they financed me for two months, interest free and let me tell you, I am looking into getting my next car from them (for my son). Very honest owner and hope they dont get too big, like most dealers, so they do not stop caring for their customers.

Zero stars. This is the most disappointing experience I have ever had and I have purchased a lot of new and used cars. Im going to tell the whole story. I found a vehicle online for my aunt. We live in St. George, Utah which is 2 hours away from Las Vegas.Over the weekend I clicked a link on the website for Sahara Motors to speak to a sales representative. I did get a response that a sales person would call me on Monday being it was the weekend. Monday came and went. I then called on Tuesday and it was like having to beg someone to sell me a car. I drove the car for my aunt and she decided she wanted to buy it and went to her financial institution to get the funds which took a couple of days.When she was cleared for funds she needed to get the information for the bank regarding the sales costs of the vehicle. She called Sahara and asked for her salesman, Alex. The guy who answer the phone said he was busy with another customer and hung up on me. Keep in mind she is at the bank and they are trying to close this deal. She called back and asked for the finance guy and when she got to him it was a lengthy process because he is in training and was learning which is fine. I have now been at the bank for over an hour when all I needed was a copy of the breakdown on the purchase agreement. Sahara then spent well over 10 minutes trying to sell her the GAP insurance and other warranties when she was paying them cash for the car because the funds were coming from a HELOC account. She doesnt need GAP insurance. The banker was there helping her until 6:50 p.m. and they close at 6.The next day she gets a ride down to Vegas and Sahara says they will pick her up at the location she will be when they open. They call and say they are on their way (it is about 10 minutes away at 8:00 a.m.) so she goes out and waits for them. And waits. And waits. Finally probably 30-45 minutes later they call and tell her they notice the car has a nail in the tire and they are getting it fixed so they need to go back and get a different car to pick her up in. Then she waits and waits and waits. Once they get to the dealership they check on the status of the tire and it isnt fixed. She waits and they check on the tire again and it isnt fixed, in fact they dont even have the tire yet. The Sahara rep tell a part runner to go get the tire because they dont want to wait any longer. This process takes some time to go get the tire put it on and in the mean time, MY 76 YEAR OLD AUNT has waited until 2:00 p.m. and they havent offered to bring in something for lunch or have a snack for her when they know they have had her from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. with no other transportation. Once she leaves to head back to St. George 2 HOURS AWAY she realizes she only has a half a tank of gas. Like I said, I have bought a lot of cars and every single one sent me off with a full tank of gas and I didnt have a 2 hour drive ahead of me and Im not 76.Over the next couple of days (Tuesday through Friday) she has to air up a tire a couple times because it seems to have a slow leak. She finally takes it in on Friday afternoon and the tire has 2 nails. She had to pay $146.00 for a new tire. I do not know if this is the tire the claimed to have fixed or if there were two damaged tires but they have not reimbursed her for the cost of that and we have asked. She loves the car but it isnt even like she got an amazing deal on it.There are a lot of places to buy vehicles people and a lot of place who WANT to sell vehicles and take customer service serious and treat their customers good. This is not one of them.

Buying a used vehicle is all about the reputation of that person/dealership & your gut feeling for them. This review is coming from someone whose own brother is a used car dealer and I STILL bought my vehicle from Ray at Sahara Auto Sales!Traditionally, used car dealers (or car dealers in general) have a bad reputation, right? Do yourself a favor: GO SEE RAY!! He will change your mind forever on how anyone should not only treat their customers, but treat people in general.My particular buying experience story is a very lengthy one; but, the details of the experience are what sets Sahara Auto Sales & the owner (Ray) apart from all the rest & will show you why buying a car at Sahara Auto Sales will be the best buying experience you will ever have. Here we go:I was honest with Ray in that I searched (through my car dealer brother) everywhere in the country, for the model I ended up buying from Ray, and it just happened to be in Las Vegas. Ray knew I wanted the car badly, YET, during the test drive, he was completely honest in that it had an intermittent starting issue that he couldnt explain. He said it had been on his lot for awhile & he was considering wholesaling it; but, if I really wanted it, he would take it to the dealership & have it expertly diagnosed and fixed. With nothing more than a yes Ray, I want this car he had it taken in to be looked at. Hear me when I say this: he didnt even ask me for a deposit! He assumed I was good for my word because that is how HE is. Think about that in todays day & age.Almost two weeks went by, and I figured Ray just blew me off & wholesaled the car. Not the case at all! The dealership had the car that long, trying to recreate the issue that Ray was telling me about. They couldnt make it happen. So, Ray subsequently took the car home with him, and I came to buy it the next day. When I arrived, Ray STILL confessed that the starting issue just happened to him that morning & if I wanted him to take it to the only other dealer in town, he would or we could scrub the deal or hed give me a discount on the car (which was already very under book price). We renegotiated & he made the rest of the buying process as simplistic & painless as possible- he took car of every little thing about the paperwork process so all I had to do was sign & drive away. Not only that, but the car needed a new windshield washer fluid tank that I discovered at the last second & he said he would have that fixed for me, free of charge, just bring it in whenever it was convenient and he would have his personal mechanic fix it. I was working 7 days a week at the time and was never able to take him up on the offer, but I have no doubt if I asked him today, he would honor that commitment because thats the kind of man and businessman he is.I asked Ray how he does it, how he sells cars at such a great price & still stays in business? He explained that he doesnt buy bad cars. He chooses them himself & chooses wisely & owns his location (hes been there 11 years, I believe & in itself, in Las Vegas- is amazing!). And, he never once boasted about being honest. He simply IS honest.I urge anyone reading this review to read the other reviews, as well, as I did. Those reviews made me a believer & I am here to attest- you, too, will become a believer that there are still people in this world with incredible character & unshakeable honesty and integrity.Ray, when I need another car- you know youre getting another visit. :-)

I bought a VW Passat from here in February and I LOVE the car. The owner Ray is very easy to work with. I have bad credit and he still financed me for a low monthly payment I can afford. It is a great small lot with quality vehicles. The owner Ray does go to car auctions often though so be sure to call before you go to make sure he is in the office. I had been to at least 20 car lots when I was shopping around for a car and am so glad I found this place. It was a great experience and I have a great car!

They do not have a high quantity of cars, but what they do have is high quality cars. We originally stopped at Sahara Auto to look at a Civic they had advertised on their website. We were greeted by Blanca and automatically got a good vibe for the place. The Civic had just sold, so we were about to drive off, but an Elantra caught our eye. The car is immaculately clean and has low miles. They provided me with a CARFAX, which stated the car has one previous owner, no accidents, and a clean title. I took the car for a test and the car runs and drives perfect. I went inside to talk numbers with Ray and our paperwork took less than 30 minutes. While there, we saw a couple different returning customers stopping by, smiling, just to say hi to Blanca and Ray. Even the girl that bought the Civic stopped by! Blanca and Ray made our experience so easy and hassle-free. The Elantra is for our daughter, and after driving the car all day, I trust that this car is safe and reliable for her to use as a daily driver. This is her first car and she loves it! I recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality used car.

This place is awesome to buy a car, it is easy to purchase here and i had bought a 2005 Mustang GT that i put into car shows, car meets and drag races, they are a Person Of There Word, when they say they will do something they will and asap, i had a bad catalactic converter and i was took care of immediately along with a bad air filter, i was sent to a nice shop where they use top brand car parts, definitely recommend this place, no other place will take care of you anymore then these people.
