I shipped out a book online in their CASH 4 BOOKS program. 3 weeks later have not received anything. IN FACT, they never issued a valid tracking label nor did they send me a packing slip to put in the package.Now they are not replying to my messages and literally just dropped$50 down the drain for them to steal.THESE PEOPLE ARE SCAMMERS AND WHATS WORST, THEY SCAM STUDENTS. DO NOT SELL YOUR BOOKS TO THEM.

This is a good place for affordable books. The only thing I dont like is that you never know the condition of the books you will get. I had one book which smelled and was very worn. It still worked though. For the price, it was still the best option. I also like that you can purchase the book later and only pay the difference from when you initially rented it. They have friendly and helpful people working here. I would recommend this place for any CSN student.

I had to drive across town to get my problem solved with my textbooks. One of the textbooks I ordered was CANCELLED without my permission and I was never notified once. Not through e-mail OR call. After calling to ask why I got a loose-leaf version instead of the hard copy I paid for (its $10 more), I was given the run around that I had ordered more than one copy which was untrue. I kept screenshots of my final order to prove it.I was very unhappy, but after some back and forth, the manager and I were able to come to a solution that my book would be ordered from the publisher and I would keep the loose-leaf set until I recieved the hard cover book like I had originally requested.I would only recommend this place to anyone that wants cheap textbooks to rent or buy, but when ordering them, be sure to put in the special notes section which type of book you want, so they wont do whatever they want without your permission/say so. Also, when buying online or in-store, keep proof of your receipts and what youre ordering so they cant say you did something that you did not.The store has the ability to cancel your books or change the status in their system at their leisure, and it does not notify your Rent Text account.With all that being said, thank you to the manager for working with me to come to a solution where I would have a book for class while my hard cover was being shipped.

Not a very good experience. In all honesty, I did come here during the beginning of the fall 2018 semester which was probably the reason why the line was so long. Waited for awhile in line as it started at the entrance. When we were finally greeted I showed a picture of the book I needed. The guy who greeted us then walked off and brought us back the book. The first book he brought us was in poor shape and condition. It was wrinkled because water must of been previously spilled on it. He went back and brought us another book in better condition, but still not in the best of shape. I recommend that you come here in the morning or around closing hours during the beginning of the semester.

College is expensive and this place is budget friendly. I always prefer to rent my textbooks since most of them will never be used again. The only thing I would say it needs is additional parking. Other than that it’s great.

You guys should open another store close to the Cheyenne or Henderson campus👍👍👍. The drive is far so students who live in Henderson.

First time using Rent Text at 9am today. All three ladies were smiling, friendly, and extremely helpful. I submitted my order late last night online, and they had me together this morning. I also compared prices online with other text book stores. Rent Text wasnt super cheaper, nor was it super more expensive. Its a yes from me.

Great place to get books at a good price. I personal check multiple locations for the best price to buy or rent. About 90% of the time they are the best price. Previous and current management both have stated that if you do a review on yelp and google (respectively) they will do a discount of 10% on your rentals and purchases. I will continue to check with this location to find the best possible price for all my college needs.

This place is terrific! I buy and rent text books for my grandchildren every semester. The Cashier named Julien who helped me last time was very kind and very respectful. The staff in general is great I will be returning until all my grandchildren have graduated csn :)

Great experience so far. Shipping was super quick and the return was easy as well. Staff was super friendly. They also do sell some other stuff like backpacks, water bottles, sweaters inside.

The employees seem friendly and Ive always been able to get my books used in at a discounted price for school. The reason I give them a four-star is because they are not detailed enough when explaining to you how rental returns work. If a class is cancelled and you need to return a book right away apparently you cannot just drop it in the rental return box. You have to go in in person and verify your card so that you can get a full refund

How do you save money as a college student? Rent your books!I’d suggest that they add another option for payment plans. For example, 5 payments spread over the course of 5 months with a small interest on top. Other than that, the employees have always been pleasant and knowledgeable.

I havent had any real issue with this place gettibg my school stuff. However, the structure of how the store itself is run needs some love. Staff were friendly when I went in and picked up my books. Keep it up guys.

I have been going to Rent Text for the past several years instead of that madhouse on campus. Its local to the Charleston campus and are usually at least a bit cheaper then the CSN bookstore. They will price match Amazon and that save quite a lot of searching MULTIPLE PLACES to buy or rent. The staff may get frazzled but they are cool, keeping a level of professionalism. Also they have a really flexible return policy and have always worked with me.

I always rent textbooks from this location and they always give the best customer service. The books I need for class is always in stock. And Emily is definitely a best employee there!!

I got my book for $160 when on the csn website it was $296.00. I so recommend places like this. Very affordable

I appreciate the low prices, but the staff leaves a bit to be desired.They close at 6:00pm on Sundays. I called at 5:40pm and got no answer, then arrived at 5:45pm to see that their doors were locked. (With the OPEN sign showing no less). Tomorrows Labor Day, so I cant get until the day after. But, the class is tomorrow, so now Im out of luck.

I noticed the other negative comment was from another Black woman. I honestly believe the fat white cashier is racist. I was returning a book within the 30 days because we had only used it 2x in class & my professor said we wouldnt actually need it for the rest of the semester.Even though it was within 30 days she wouldnt give me a full refund. She said because I used it I could only get a partial refund.When I first rented the textbook they gave me a really long receipt with all of their rules for return. Nowhere on the receipt does it say you can only get your money back if you didnt actually read any of the material in the book. So since I opened this book twice, I was not eligible for a full refund.Whats worse is I know this was a personal decision she made. Her register doesnt actually have a function for partial refund so she entered it manually.There is a lot of ethnic diversity at CSN. It is not okay for RentText to have hired a racist to represent them.

Never getting books from this place again. I placed an online order on Tuesday morning for three books and got an email saying my WHOLE order was ready to pick up. I called this morning just to be sure because I work full time and can only afford to make the trip once. The guy on the phone literally stayed that he had all of my books in his hand right now and that theyre all here. I go down and stand in their convenient online pick up line, show them my order number, and she only comes back with one book. Uh, wait. I thought I ordered three and that they were all ready for pick up? She begins to tell me that I only paid for three and that they will eventually arrive. Arrive when? She keeps telling me that there is no answer and they may not arrive for a month. Also she told me - NO REFUNDS ON THINGS YOU HAVENT EVEN AND MAY NEVER RECEIVE. This girl was rude. Either they gave away my books that the guy was looking at this morning, or she just didnt care. I now have to figure out a way to get my calculus textbook in the meantime until it eventually arrives. Ridiculous. Last year I had no problem ordering my stuff online and picking it up and now I have all of the problems. Never again, Renttext.

Employees are very friendly and useful. They can help you with any question you might have. You can rent or buy used or new textbook. And they are reasonably cheaper than the book at the College bookstore.

This is the best place for textbooks in town. They have the best prices and flexible payments and will price match if you ever find a better deal. The one downside is that the staff seem to get overwhelmed on peak weekends and it becomes a struggle to get checked out quickly.

I purchased my books online from their website. I called them right away asking if I could pick them up the same day. They said to wait for an email saying they were ready for pickup. I waited 48 hours and nothing. I went to the store to pick it up anyway and apparently they didnt even have the book. They offered no apology, no reason for not contacting me and no explanation for why they sold me a book they didnt have. They were extremely apathetic about it. Dont buy from them online. Also, they are not cheaper than the CSN bookstore, so spare yourself the frustration and buy from CSN, Amazon or anyone else.

This is a horrible company to try to do business with. DO NOT rent from this company!!! They will take your money and rip you off! Was wrongfully charged $170 for a book. & when I requested a refund AFTER THEY HAD THE BOOK IN THEIR POSSESSION, they said I could pay them $6 to have the book shipped back to me or they could pay the current value of the book which is $20! This was after I was told by a customer service rep that they would refund me my money after the book was received. Now I dont have the book nor do I have the money for the book. Somehow the buyout price for the book was $138 2 weeks ago when they automatically charged my debit card, but now the book is only worth $20.This is a warning to other college students. Dont ever rent anything from them. Rent through your school or through Amazon.

If they dont have the book in the store it takes a while for it to come in, seems like ordering online is faster. They dont pay much if you want to sell to them either but the staff is nice and its not too overpriced!

Duuuuuuude you have absolutely no idea how much money these guys saved me. I am broke, like most college students and usually dont get my financial aid until after the semester starts. DID YALL KNOW THAT THEY HAVE A PAY LATER OPTION??? I tell them I need a book and am not able to pay the full amount until financial aid comes in, THEN YOU PAY LIKE A MONTH LATER. I entered your book store today to rent for spring semester. I was greeted by your staff .I explain to your staff I wanted to rent my books now since I would be working the sale .After mentioned this I was told I can order oi line. My response was your web site is not set up for spring yet. Then the older lady is like you can get them on sale at our event. If you obtain your books today you will not receive a discount.I rez responded I understand may I get my books anyway.I felt annoyed I understand the staff wanted to promoted sale. Terrible company !!!! I always go around telling people how great Renitent until i experienced such poor customer service. They tried to tell me that a payment from January 2017 didnt go through. I have been in there 3 times to retune books and EVEN CHECK OUT NEW BOOKS and return books again at the end of this last semester. I was finally told about a month ago that this payment didnt go through (which was 10 months later ). I told them that was ridiculous and if it didnt go through why wasnt I informed. The lady told me I could look through my bank statements when I get a chance (cause she knows Im a college student and work 2 jobs) and present it to them when i find it. It has been a month and again I work 2 jobs and havent had a chance (and regardless if i didnt find payment I would still pay it especially since I want to check out books again) and today they have charged my account the difference without my knowledge. No on informed me, told me i had a time limit, the initial person i spoke to made it seem like It wasnt a rush especially since it was their mistake of letting me know 10 months later. Therefore i am penalized and charged the differ amount before i even had a chance to look for it or even be notified that i needed to find it before today. They charged my account without my permission and I will be taking this to court immediately. I use to ay great things about this place but now I am saying DO NOT RENT/BUY BOOKS FROM THIS COMPANY. not even management helped me.

The staff are friendly and helpful if you arent sure what books you need. They have sales at the beginning of each semester which is awesome too! Worst place to rent books, one of my friend at work recommended this place to me due to their cheap prices, bad mistake she ordered the book for me on August 24, 2018 and today is the 13th of September my book hasnt arrived, I think my book got returned back to them and have someone else rent it now Im so behind from my online class cause Im missing my book...I called them and they were gonna charge me even tho I dont have the books in hand, I had to make a complaint and talked to the supervisor just so they wont charge me anything yet...beware guys Im warning u dont order ur books from this place...better order it on Amazon or CSN bookstore...this place is a scam...

Went here to buy a text book for my wife but it was way more expensive than I thought it would be. I had heard this place was cheaper. Anyway, they were really pushing me to buy it then and there instead of going to the CSN bookstore to compare. They insisted they were cheaper. Im not that gullible. I went to the CSN bookstore and the book was $60 cheaper at CSN! Same edition and everything. Who knows, it may have been a one-time thing, but I sure dont plan on ever going back. To their credit they were friendly and I didnt have to wait in line. The CSN line took an hour...
