Las Vegas is certainly not a place that you would consider for rare books. I truly enjoyed walking around the store and looking at the classics that they had. I also enjoyed talking with the staff about everything including Harry Potter to Tom Clancy.
It is so nice and refreshing to find a rare bookstore here on the Vegas trip. This place is classic and has some really great literature in it. For people who still care to read while enlightening their mind this is a place I highly recommend. You can even get some great value on books while people still know what they are. With the Internet and millennials taking over and eliminating looks from our society, this is a really great place to get acquainted with our past and to educate your mind with great books. If this review helps please leave me a thumbs up below.
I havent been there but the lady that talks about books is on pawn Stars and ever its a great thing about this place
Brandon really cares about books and went way out of his way to show and explain items. We will be back!
I visited here and saw so much cool stuff. Like amazing rare editions and I wanted everything. Staff was friendly and, again, the store is AMAZING.
Located on the second level in the Venetian Canal Shoppes, I would totally have visited this store even if it was mentioned on one of my favorite TV shows. If you love books, this is a nice quiet little shop. Expensive? Yeah. Rare stuff? Yeah. Will they buy your books? Possibly... Check this place out if youre gonna go to Vegas...
Cool but not a lot of inventory here. Nice staff
Such a cool store! I loved looking at all of the rare books. They had a copy of the books printed of the Lewis and Clark expedition. Many of the coolest books had to do with significant events in history. They have these cool cradles to hold the books so that the spines wont get damaged as some of the books are extremely old. See attached photo .
Cool place
This book shop is so good for its service, books, manager.Because the manager Rebecca Romney is the worlds best book expert and she is friendly woman.
Each time I have gone to Vegas I visit this book store. Its like visiting a small musuem. Im writing this review a couple years since my last visit but just watched a show about Lewis and Clarke and remembered they had a copy there.
Found a few books the wife was looking for
Like most of the stores in Vegas, most us just stroll thru to look, not touch. The staff know this and are very nice - always offering a free catalog and to answer any questions. Its a beautiful, quiet respite from the wild streets of the city. We always stop buy just to see whats on display.
Very interesting and very clean place
Small but worth the find. Even if not able to or interested in buying any rare books, this is like a literary museum. See first edition and rare masterpieces. See their history and maybe get to touch a favorite book or manuscript that impacted your life or something that has a childhood memory for you.I love seeing the early American documents and maps. Things used during the early wars for independence. To think that it lasted this long and was so important to our freedom. Also fun to see the original edition of books or movies we love before they were famous and mass produced. Some of the inscriptions from the authors to friends, family and fans help you understand the person behind the words.. .
Beautiful collection!! Excellent and knowledgeable staff. Would rate 10 stars if possible.
Great place to buy a gift for the person who has everything! Signed copies, first editions. Many books on display.
Really nice place to appreciate history. Great place to get away from the glam of Las Vegas
Very cool. Some fantastic although pricey books
Very cool, but very small. Not sure why i was expecting a barnes and nobles or rare books
Amazing store, particularly loved the General Grant and Lee autographs for sale.
Anybody a fan is Oscar Wilde or lord Alfred Douglas find me in ebay unique-treasures-nv
Such an amazing shop. Incredibly rare books and fascinating texts from history.
This shop, located between the Venetian and the Palazzo, is not your ordinary antiquarian bookstore. The store is not huge, but their selection and collection is amazing. First-editions in pristine condition of Huckleberry Finn (green Webster binding) and Connecticut Yankee caught my eye. Its not just remarkable that they have the selection that they do... Its remarkable the condition that their books are in.As mentioned in other reviews, this is basically a museum-grade artifact store. The storekeepers are not pretentious though. A sign politely invites guests: Ask us to show you how to handle antique books. Very dignified, and a much better approach than the typical book-Nazi approach that you would typically find in a store with their inventory. If your literature teacher in high school or college ever touched you, you owe it to him or her to stop in this store at least once if you are in the area.
Really a great place treat your mind to adventure there in the pages of time
Great selection, lots of character, lots of heart. Easily one of my favorite book stores in Las Vegas .
Amazing place. I cant justify buying anyhting here, but im thoroughly impressed
I was pleasantly surprised that that exclusive rent wasnt reflected in the prices of the books
Super cool old books. Neat to look at, do not touch!
Really cool place. Very nice staff
Wonder if shes related to Mitt Romney🤔📚
I called they didnt have what I wanted however they gave me great advice on how to get it and were very polite!
Rare collectables of unique and wonderful books.
They make my wife very happy
I love this place, a rare place for rare people like myself who love old books.
Loved this rare bookstore.
Very interesting store.
They had a lot of books in mint or grate condition. The price was high so if you plan on buying, plan on spending a significant amount. Sadly they did not carry the books i was looking for.
What a rare book collection....
Small place
Any book u need
Superb books
The manager is a fox
Mrs. Rebecca Romney is a great connoisseur of old books, remarkable that she is from America, ... when the old continent (Europe) is a typical place where very rare books are found!Your opinion on the television program is also very correct.Your comments on old books are specific and correct! Thanks, Gracias, and Thanks.
For those who like the pleasure almost forgotten to read. Or at least see books with their covers and old illustrations, it is a site that you can not miss. Very old books and of course very expensive. In one of the most luxurious places in Las Vegas
In this place you find pure first editions at prices of course very high. It was exciting for me to see a first edition of The Guardian among the Rye. Although you are not going to buy it is interesting to go to know this store that by the way is very elegant.
5 star service and rare and expensive books. Has virtual catalog on site
Super interesting!!!
Nice place
