Needed a car repair that the nearby Toyota service center quoted over $1,700 for, but we brought in a replacement engine water pump for our 2012 Toyota Prius to I Am Mechanic and they were nothing but welcoming, charming, and honest.They gave us a price that was previously unimaginable (that could NOT be beat) for the work that had to be done and they had our car ready the very next morning.I Am Mechanic has great prices, are very knowledgeable about what needs to be done, and did an awesome repair job.Highly recommend. :)

I was passing through Vegas pulling a travel trailer in 115 degree summer for summer vacation. Our truck was acting funny and took it to them for their good reviews online. Although an inconvenience, they took the time to help me work through the issue and get back on the road, saving our family vacation and helping me feel A LOT better. I would have paid whatever they charged, but they didnt take advantage of me- Im really grateful. NIce to know there are honest mechanics out there looking to help people.

This is an honest mechanic shop!!!! Go to them!!! I drove from my home in Simi Valley, California to Las Vegas, 45 minutes before Las Vegas I noticed smoke coming out of the back of my car when I accelerated. Concerned I need major engine work, I limped into town and called approx 10 garages. One mechanic told me it would cost thousands, I would need to leave a $2000.00 deposit and leave my car for two weeks. Another told me it was going to be expensive. They had not even looked at it. I got a good feeling from I Mechanics, took it in and was told a loose plastic flap under my car was rubbing on my tire! I’m a woman alone and out of state. I paid a small fee for the repair and was on my way. These gentlemen are professional and honest and really saved my trip. THANKS GUYS!!!

I repaired my beast a/c few months ago in this place. Repair for a/c is satisfactory but takes too much time. Staffs are so friendly and kind behavior.

Went in for a checkup and oil change and the man said I needed $607 in work done to my transmission. It seemed over the top so I called a few other places around town: $260 for the transmission flush. Not only did he try to charge me for excess quarts of cvt fluid but also a pan gasket change that did not need to be done. I went to auto-nation and they did everything great for me!

Brought my car in yesterday, Friday 05/01/2020 at 230pm to have my a/c looked at. It was blowing warm air, and now that its already 100 degrees, I needed it checked. Noe asked a few questions about whats going on with it, and took it right in. He said he would be able to have something figured out by about 4. I decided to hang around. He came in to give me an update a bit later that its low on refrigerant, but he also thinks the expansion valve could be bad, but he wanted to do a bit more digging. He really knew his stuff. Turns out he was right, and he said if I wanted, I could leave it overnight and hed have the valve replaced by this morning. At 10:07 this morning, I got the call to come get it with cold air coming out. I will definitely recommend this place to anyone that needs car work! They are great! Thanks guys!

I’ve gone to them several times for different issues with different vehicles. I dropped my car off for a fuel pump replacement. Not only did they replace it (what I paid for) they fixed my gas door. For whatever reason it no longer closed and I didn’t notice they fixed it until I went to fill up the tank. Thank you all so much. I’ve recommended them several times and I will always trust them with my cars.

I took my car In March 2, 2020 for a check engine light. Its been 3 weeks going on to a month and no check engine light. It was costy BUT worth the wait and the money. Very friendly and very efficient. I was having issues with my Ford f150 starting and was told it could be the battery even though I replaced it not too long ago. The guys here were friendly and very helpful and knowledgeable. They found out my issue. Worked with me. And got it fixed before I had to work. Theyre honest and honestly, I recommend them 100 fold.

My older suburban had a weird issue and we are from out of town. I went in just based on reviews and the fact that they were open on a holiday. Noe was cordial, understanding and intelligent. We talked through my issue, he scanned the car and gave me some excellent advice. I did not have a major problem that needed to be fixed, but If I live in Las Vegas this would be my new mechanic shop. The shop is clean and well organized too.

I dont know much about cars and I was afraid to visit auto services here in Las Vegas but Tony was able to explain every bit of problems visually and verbally. I was on my way back from moving my parents from Seattle to Arizona and at about Lake Mead I lost 5th gear in my Dodge diesel pickup and I limped it into Las Vegas. I always go by reviews and only two shops looked hopeful. The first was a transmission shop down some ghetto alley with language issues and it was a junkie mess.I then went to I Am Mechanics and spoke to Noe, the shop manager and a very nice a young man. I have turned a wrench in my past and appreciate a guy who runs a clean shop. He runs it like his own garage and SHOULD BE MADE PARTNER before the absent owner loses him. He started to sort of brag to me that he had seen a few of these transmissions in his 7 years experience and I almost giggled. Anyway, his seven years of experience were obviously spent well. He explained what I was in for from best scenario to worst in great detail. I was nervous because of his age and the fact that it was not a transmission shop but a general mechanics shop. I had no choice though because I had to get back to work in Seattle. So I left the truck there and very nervously flew home. I was halfway sure I would be taken to the cleaners just because most shops would.It turned out to be a worst case scenario. The last mechanic had took some shortcuts and I wound up paying the price. Noe supported his findings with detailed pictures and explained it all. I had him rebuild the whole thing again nervous because it is not a transmission shop and that is one of the big specialty jobs in auto mechanics. Noe showed me why dealer parts are really better in this case so I spent the extra money.Anyway I just got time off again and went down and drove the truck back. I couldnt be happier. Noes guys did a top notch job. VERY IMPRESSED. He should have his own shop! DO YOU HEAR ME OWNER!!!

I wanted to WAIT before giving a review. Sometime glowing reviews brings out my skepticism. Its been 2 months since I AM Mechanics fixed my AC in my 2004 truck. And boy, am I loving my cool air in the triple digit heat! Fast and reasonable priced. No need to go anywhere else.

Its soooooo hard to find a skilled mechanic who is also honest. I am mechanics is that Mechanic. They gave me a very fair price and did two other small repairs absolutely free for me while my truck was being worked on. When I picked up my truck it purred like I had just bought her again. These guys are friendly and fair and do quality work. A+. A+!

Noe and his guys are great. They saved me time and money. Another shop told me I had 3 cracked belts so I went to I Am Mechanics for a second opinion. Turned out I only needed to replace one belt. I also had my brake pads replaced and very reasonably priced and fast. These guys are honest and have superior customer service.

I have been here twice. 1st time on a Saturday. They were busy and took me anyway. Fast efficient and affordable. As affordable as car repair is. The 2nd time, again they took me right in. Fast delivery of the part and I was out of there in no time. Ive had no problem at all from those repairs. Excellent service. Id recommend them to a friend. And if my luck holds out on my vehicle I wont have to go back. But if I had too, this is the place I would go.

Its hard to find a good honest mechanic theses days. This shop went above and beyond to make sure the service they provided was 100% spot on and fixed the problem. Did a good job finding a leaky Schrader valve in the air conditioner

Went in for a simple fix on my exhaust hanger.. I explained to the gentleman what the problem was. He told me he had to talk to his boss. He then came back from talking to his boss and told me it would cost 85 dollars to look at it! Lmao I was livid. He couldnt even look me in the eyes when he said they have to diagnose it. How the hell do you diagnose that? The hanger is either bent broke or off. Just another story of a Shitty mechanic trying to rip you out your money. Took it to another place was in and out in 20 minutes and wasnt even charged. No trust or respect for this shop what so ever. These are the type of people who give mechanics bad names.

Friendly people, but I am not convinced they really know what they are doing. I took my van in to have them check the air conditioning. They said they checked for leaks. They told me it could be one of two things wrong, and gave me prices from $600 to $1750 to fix. I took the van to another shop today, they said they found leaks and they were able to tell me exactly what is wrong. I would not take another air conditioning job to them. They may be just the right shop for a starter or alternator. Not to diagnose what is wrong with an air-conditioning system

I started going here within the past year. They were very friendly and knew what they were doing for my old car. I had my timing belt and water pump replaced. Im going to try and make it back this week to get my oil changed. I live almost 30 minutes away, but I trust them with my car.

I just wanted to update with my latest experience that Ive had with I am mechanics and what Ive gotten from the mechanics at I a mechanic says that they are pretty straightforward honest and do good work based off of the clients that Ive had sent their so very hard to find a decent shop in Vegas and this is definitely one of the decent shops that we have here by decent I mean good and not going to completely rip you off for brake pads rotors tires and stuff that you really dont need

They were honest and fast. I came in with grinded down breaks they gave me my options and didnt throw the most expensive parts at me. There client service was exceptional !!!

We were due for an oil change while coming into Vegas. Not long before arriving, the van started making some weird noises. Squeeking, scratching and shaking noises depending on if we were turning right or breaking while at high speedsSo we go into I AM mechanics. Sure enough, they pointed out that the the problem was coming from the front brakes. I said alright, but pointed out that the weird noises were coming from the back wheels. ONLY THEN did they take a look at the back wheels and notice the break kit on the back left wheel was completely falling apart. It would need a new break kit (hub and disk / disk brake rotors).We did a complete brake job 4 months ago before leaving on our trip, so this was frustrating for us. They said that it was impossible that they had done the back brakes only 4 months ago, as the discs were rusted to the point where they could only be original(its a 2003).So we give the go ahead to fix everything needed on the breaks, as we drive around alot and didnt want to take any chances with our safety.About 1,000$ later, were good to go. Except as soon as we left their garage, the brakes werent working. They spelt spongy and unresponsive, having to push the pedal in very far to come to a full stop. They also forgot to rotate the tires(which we had clearly asked for).At this point the place is about to close and we’ve already wasted our day so we decide to head to our hotel and that we would return the next day.So we go back, tell them what the problem is, and that they forgot to rotate the tires. After looking into it, lo and behold, the problem is coming from something completely different, the master cylinder.It would be another 350$.So I ask: why is it that we didnt have this problem until we took it back out of the shop?. They claim that they cant pin point the problem. That it was likely caused to break by all the pressure to the new break parts that were installed.So, like an idiot, I gave the go ahead, hoping it would end our problems. 350$ later, they tell us its good to go.Absolutely nothing had changed from when we brought the van in in the morning. We drove some 40 miles outside of vegas before confirming 100% that they had absolutely not fixed the problem.The next day we wake up and debate whether or not its worth driving back to vegas to once again be scammed by the same garage. We decide against it and decide to go see a real Ford dealer mechanic in St.george.It took A SINGLE PUMP on the break for the Ford mechanic to guess what the problem could be. It took him a total of 15 minutes to fix it. Pardon my terminology, but it seemed like a minor adjustment with a screwdriver had to be made to the break kit on both back brakes. Something the mechanics at I AM didnt do the first time we went in, and couldnt figure out the second. The Ford mechanic then confirmed the spongy brakes also had nothing to do with the master cylinder, meaning the folks at I AM Mechanics misdiagnosed the problem and made us pay for something that did not need to be changed.We also showed our old brake discs and rotors to the Ford mechanic. He informed us that they were practically brand new, and we absolutely did not need to change them.So, what should have costed maybe 400$, end up costing us around 1,600$.I called I AM mechanics back, explained the situation. They would not admit to changing parts that did not need to be changed. ‘’According to our expertise, these parts would have had to be changed eventually whether they were connected to your problems or not’’. I was seeking compensation, but they only refunded me the 100$ that I paid the Ford mechanic to tighten the brake kit.Whether the guys at I AM mechanics saw an opportunity to scam us because we we’re out of towners, or simply meant well but lack the expertise to correctly diagnose problems, we dont know. The guys working there were seemingly very nice and very helpful, however, it’s hard to remember that when they wont admit any fault in this complete mess of a job.
