Excellente place to any concerns and any eye medical issues. OD Johson very understanding and answered all my questions and concerns. And staff very helpful and friendly. And receptionist very welcoming and with a smile that makes you even want to come back again. Excellent Optometrist Office!

Very good, fast, and efficient. Staff was all very friendly and helpful. I will be going back. The doctor did a great exam and was helpful with recommendations for contacts since my old ones were bothering me.

Very poor experience. Went to get a glasses and contact exam to get fitted. They ran my insurance and never told me that they no longer partner with my insurance to cover contact fittings so I had to pay all of that out of pocket. After a long discussion about that they asked if Id like to order the contacts. I asked if I could take my prescription to another business and order through them and they said yes but I would have to pay for another fitting. So, I reluctantly told them to order the contacts. I called to check on the contacts and low and behold they never ordered them...LOL. needless to say I will never give them my business again.

This place is extremely unorganized, I’ve NEVER left a review for any office since I know by experience how busy it can be. No one in this office communicates or can get their information correct, I call to make an appointment (I had a referral for a field vision test) and when I asked if they do this they told me yes, and told me I just need the referral. I ask how much it’s going to be and because I have two different insurances they tell me my insurances will cover it, when I get here another person tells me oh no it’s $200+. Are u kidding me!? So I reschedule. I come back again and they have me scheduled for something COMPLETELY different, AND tell me they can’t do my exam that I’m needing that I have to see a different doctor for it!?!? They’ve had my paperwork and referral for MONTHS and they’re barley telling me this???? I definitely would not waste my time here!The dr was nice though

Did a walk in for new contacts prescription, walked out with prescription for glasses and a 2week appointment to go back to finalize my prescription for my contacts.update: went to my 2week appointment and still no contacts prescription🤦‍♀️. Waiting for that prescription....update and overall experience: After several weeks of waiting I finally got my prescription for daily wear contacts🙌. However, due to them taking forever to give me my prescription for contacts I will not be returning. Inconvenient and a waste of my time with going back and forth and waiting.If you want to walk in for glasses prescription and have the time to wait, go for it! if you want to get contacts just know they may or may not be able to give you your prescription that same day but if you have the time to waste, go for it!Staff was very friendly. Personally, I dont recommend them and will not be returning, I value my time.

I had a great experience. I had an appointment and had to leave half way thru but they scheduled me a second appointment to get my test results for the very next day. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Totally disrespectful staff. Was told about 90 minutes to be seen. When I brought my papers in there was another client clipboard right in view on the counter including that person’s ID, massive HIPAA violations. Waited in parking lot for 3 hours before they brought me in, squat for communication. I had tried to schedule a appointment weeks before to coordinate around another medical visit and was told only walk in were done. When finally brought into the exam room was left for a while without seeing the doctor and was then asked to exit the room and sit waiting for yet another room. Staff started with BS stories about scheduling, told them to forget everything and walked out. Doctor and Office Manager really need to teach their staff about client relations and really there is no excuse for a 3 hour wait without any contact. Was not my first visit here but without question definitely my last.

I have never posted a review, but this experience was so awful I feel obligated to say something. First, I waited an hour and fifteen minutes to see the OD. They said I could wait in the jam packed waiting room, but given that we are in a PANDEMIC, I elected to wait in my car. Front staff were comparatively nice. Way too many people were working in this small space. Frankly its unsafe and irresponsible. The OD spent maybe 10 minutes with me. Asked maybe two or three questions. Did not review results with me. Said nothing else after the briefest eye exam Ive had in my life. I will never go back to this place and I will never recommend it to anyone.

Don’t waste your time. Won’t be coming here ever again! Rude staff, Dr has almost no interaction with you during your visit, lazy! Dilation is up to Dr??

The staff is so nice and professional. Dr.Johnson is always very nice and gives you the perfect prescription. I will never go anywhere else for an eye exam as long as he is open.

If I could give zero stars I would. Went in for walk in and was filling out paper work in my vehicle, upon returning they had closed their door and the woman behind the counter did not return my drivers license OR insurance card which prevented me from going elsewhere (which if you are seeing this review GO ELSEWHERE). Ladies at the front are unprofessional and rude. I understand emergencies and having to leave, but to leave while having someone’s personal property let alone DRIVERS LICENSE is absolutely ridiculous. Put me at a huge disadvantage. I will be calling to complain. Please take your business where it will actually be worth you time.

Receptionists are extremely rude to you over the phone and have an attitude for no reason. It seems to me that its too hard for them to send a prescription over email. And on top of that, they want to give you attitude over the fact that they left a voicemail when they clearly didnt. Dr. Johnson is one of the best eye doctors Ive had and goes the extra mile to make sure my eyes are checked properly. But the front desk really needs some work.

STOP YOU DO NOT HAVE TO LOOK ANY FURTHER TO FIND A BETTER OPTOMETRIST OR OFFICE PERSONNEL!!This office rocks with a hard working, fun, super nice office crew.Dr. Johnson really knows his skills for helping with eye infections, making sure you have the best most current up to date prescription for both Glasses and Contacts.I had moved here a couple of years ago from out of state and it is always hard to know who you can trust in the medical fields etc... plus including finding a new Hairdresser!!It took me 2 tries with other dr.s before I found him!! I had been given too strong scripts for both glasses and contacts from the other places.Dr. Johnson and Staff will always work 1000% to make sure you are good with whatever you may have going on. I really like the service very professionals

I have been to numerous eye doctors throughout the years and have never felt that my prescription was right. While on a visit to Las Cruces I was referred to doctor Johnson and was actually able to get a Saturday appointment. So happy I went!! I was in to see the doctor after a short wait which was surprising because the waiting room was half full when I arrived. Two girls conducted tests with some pretty fancy equipment. ( I don’t get to the big city much lol )they were very sweet and knowledgeable. The doctor spent a lot of time with me and explained everything so that I could understand . I’ve always wanted to try contacts but my hometown doctors always discouraged me so I settled for glasses. Dr. Johnson said it would be perfectly fine for me to wear contacts and wrote my new prescription. After a few minutes learning how to use them I left with my contacts in . I could not be happier!!!! Definitely worth the drive.

I called in advance to ask if my insurance was accepted, and the first phone call was decent. I commited to a walk in appointment and called to make sure if it was fine that I didnt have my physical card on me because I was coming from work. It was, which was nice but the call was not as friendly and the staff member who answered the phone either did not recall our earlier conversation or was annoyed with me. Not sure which but either way, I was left feeling a little put out. The service from there gradually got worse. Both receptionists were short with me and didnt seem pleased to answer my questions. I was put in one room, sat for a good while, and was then moved to another one. Dr. Johnson himself was nice, quick, and efficient. BUT by the time I saw him I was rather sad I used my insurance and pesonal time to leave feeling like I should have just waited and went somewhere else.

Amazing service and staff. I was a first time walk in and I will never go anywhere else now. I will highly recommend to all my family and friends.

Front staff could not look me in the eye while taking my paperwork, too busy shuffling papers. Staff continually to speak Spanish amongst each other while around us. I explained that my daughter would not understand all directions and need special ways for observing what she could see. First staff walked out as she totally didnt know what to do. Spoke in Spanish with another staff, about us! That person came in, attempted several things and would not listen to my suggestions. At one point, said she cant do that. Dr. Johnson came in, didnt even speak to me, and started asking my daughter questions. Again, I suggested other ways to help her answer but he didnt respond. Very disappointed with the overall service and I should have walked out. While checking out at the front desk, I had ask them to fill out a paper with limited information for Respite services. Staff, in Spanish, ask each other about this paper, in front of me! I directly told her you can ask me.! Do not take special needs people to this location.

I live in Phoenix and was passing through las cruces on my way back home. Needless to say I was taken in the same day although it wasn’t guaranteed it was a great experience and they were able to help me out when I lost my Contacts. Thanks so much Andy!
