One of few computer stores that is not a big box store that has adequate computer supplies.

Originally gave a 1 star review. But after today I’m convinced that this store is probably the best place in Las Cruces. They are very passionate about their work and knowledgeable as well.

I took my computer here because it was getting hot. I honestly have pretty minimal knowledge of computer parts and they did a great job of explaining what the computer needed. I also really appreciated that they gave me options for the parts I needed and honest opinions regardless of part price . They had it done and clean the next day. Really nice guys. I also appreciate them working during the pandemic to keep technology running in a time where we need it most.

I was very Happy with the service I received, I dropped off my laptop for repairs and was given a quote of picking it up hopefully by end of next day, and they got it done first thing in morning. I really helped me as I work off that laptop and they were able to get it done quickly that I didnt even miss a beat of work.

Went in to MDC Computers for help. I got none. The guy that is usually there is very helpful but this time I ran into the owner. He was not too friendly, and all his answers were basically, we dont do this, we dont do that... he wouldnt even look at my computer... very off standish.....With all the nos, and no interest of helping me in any way or form.... I left upset. I told him as well. I missed my other guy who was completely the opposite. So sad...

I bought a computer at best buy 3 years ago, hoping on purchasing a computer that would last me years. to the date 3 years later, the unit fries it self. took it to best by via an appointment to see geek squad and again miraculously they where not able to help me with the unit. I took it to MDC computers and spoke with lucky on the problem. took unit to him to look at it and a day later unit is repair. the repair cost was very reasonable and unit works great.thank u for your help lucky charm, I will be buying locally and avoid the corporate companies from now on.thank u lucky.

I have been doing business with Lucky for many years. Straight shooter and extremely knowledgeable. Service is always top notch. I brought my PC in for some service and Dru was great. On time, performed what I asked and very reasonable in price.

Previously I’ve come in time to time asked questions made purchases and left with new parts happy and ready to install, being greeted warmly and professionally I felt good about previous purchases and interactions. However 29 FEB 2020 Went into MDC computers of Las Cruces just looking around With a friend building a workstation. I notice the store looked a bit bare one motherboard a few stick of nvme Storage and various very limited Building accessories being displayed. No problem I thought the store would have more stock not displayed In the back for security so I’d just wait and inquire as to what was available. At this time both associates were busy answering questions with other patrons. When I was next in line as a conversation starter I made a comment on how bare the store seemed mainly because I had overheard an associate say on the phone not 20 seconds later that variety was limited at this time. I was then aggressively informed that the store has $40,000 dollars of inventory and he wasn’t sure what I meant by my comment. Caught off guard from his combative tone and agitated state. All other questions I had about purchasing anything from MDC computers vanished. I immediately deescalated the situation because of the protection I carry by checking If my friend was ready to go and left without any fancy comebacks to avoid a bad situation. The individual is usually pretty nice and helpful but today just wasn’t the day to support your local computer store. I will not be returning.

Just bought a refurbished HP Elite from MDC Computers. It was a great buy. Got it for 650 even though its still going online for over 1,300. And he added a lot of great free anti virus software. He was so much more helpful then Best Buy

Parts were brought in for a complete computer build on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at 10:40 AM. Estimated time of completion was by Wednesday, September 18, 2019. No word was heard by phone or email by the end of the business day, Wednesday, September 18, 2019. Contact was made in person at MDC on Thursday, September 19, 2019, at 4:00 PM, and inquiry was made into progress of build. It was at that time an advisement was given; that there were, All kinds of problems with the motherboard. In addition, was then advised that the computer wouldnt post.Parts were already boxed-up and ready to go; no charge for work already done (four hours for tech).Sigh.

Once again saved by their knowledgeable staff. Panicked i had my old laptop with keyboard problems. The solution..... a remote keyboard. quick easy (even i could do it) and cheap till i can buy a newer model. gotta love these guys.

Bought a computer for my son for Christmas. Went to best buy first and priced them. Then came here. For the same price we had a computer built for my sons gaming. Any questions have been answered very quick and very easy to understand even for non computer people.For any computer needs I come here. Im now a loyal customer. Thank you MDC.

I sat down with a tech and we put together my order for a computer with everything in it I wanted. Cost: $1200. Then, he asked me what I thought about a recondition computer that did not have some items I wanted. After thinking about it and deciding did I want a certain feature or did I need it, I decided to save $550 dollars and get the recondition computer. I have been very happy with it. They could have made more money, I think, with my original order, but in the end, they saved me money and I got what I needed.

My Macbook was running very slow, so I brought it to MDC to see what could be done. Lucky was so helpful! He explained to me why I was having the problems I was having, and what my options were for solutions. I ended up spending WAY less than I had anticipated, and he even provided me with free parts. I couldnt be happier with MDC, Lucky, and his amazing staff.

Visited the store when could not get new computer to work properly - this is our winter home and did not know who to contact regarding good computer work.Lucky evaluated our computer, changed a couple of icons and gave us some advice. All at no charge! As per his recommendation we will be upgrading to a better internet speed, renegotiate with our provider for a better price and he invited us come back by if that doesnt work. He was upfront and honest.Ill keep you posted but this company was wonderful!

These guys are awesome. They always have what I need or direct me towards the best place to get it. Sometimes they even tell me not to buy stuff there because I don’t need to and there’s a cheaper option. Just real honest guys that are knowledgeable in their craft.

This is a well kept secret here in Las Cruces. I have had my computers to MDC 3 times. Two out of the three times I had my computers they were returned within a day. This might not be the case all the time. The staff is friendly and professional, not to mention polite.

I was going to order a mid-high end, custom computer from CyberPowerPC, but decided to get a quote from MDC first and Im very glad I did. Lucky made a couple excellent recommendations to improve my build at essentially the same price (before tax) as on-line. Over the course of about a month or two i brought my computer in about 5 times because of the same problems. I dont even know where to start but the best part about it is, Im still having problems with it!It took way to long to fix the issues i was having and every time i picked it back up when i was told it was all fixed, i would bring it home and it would still have issues.Im a very patient person but Im extremely frustrated by the lack of progress that it seems they made with my computer. I had brought my computer to them once before and everything went incredibly well so Im really surprised by the ordeal Ive gone through this time.After bringing it back and forth five times, replacing numerous parts on it (even the motherboard) it still doesnt work the way it should be. Very frustrated!

I had to get some memory added to my HP laptop but didnt want to take it apart just to add RAM. MDC added the RAM in less than 20 minutes. Great service guys, thanks!

My roommate has a laptop that does not load operating system. I did simple test and found the hard drive cannot be read. We took it to the store hoping they can restore the data. It took them several days to figure out that it was the hard drives problem and cannot restore anything. They offered high price for a HDD even when SSD has been popular these days. Of course i asked my roommate to refuse it. We took the laptop back and bought SSD from bestbuy and installed operating system all by ourselves. They charged diagnosis fee around 50 bucks which could have been totally saved.Update 4/30/2017I realized as a business it is reasonable to charge at a fair rate, especially it actually took you guys some time on that laptop. I gave one more star in this review.

First time customer and they treated me very well. Staff very knowledgeable about computers, completely satisfied!

Brought my computer to get viruses taken off and when I got it back my ArcGIS program would not work (just wouldnt open). When I called back to ask how to fix it, they didnt even know what that program is and didnt know how to help.

Hard Drive was broken and I was afraid of losing all my music and software but these guys fixed my computer recovered all my files and music and my computer was running 10X faster!
