Great selection of comics, tabletop games, dice, figures, cards, and other collectibles. Theyve got some cool stuff that you cant normally find in the area. Workers are great, too.

Stay away from this place. I have been there 4 times and all four times I have left upset by their customer service. Its almost like it bothers them when you ask a question. Today, I asked if an item was available. A young lad was helping me, and a lady that was there as well, just cut him off and said if its not there we dont have it. I said her customer service needed a little work, I got a snarky apology. No one in my family will ever go there again.

Staff is five stars. Shops variety is five stars. Prices on tcg are one star, beyond ebay worthy. I’m more than happy to pay 20% over msrp to support local. You have over head I get it. Before pandemic wouldn’t carry Pokémon cards because they don’t sale. Magically on the hype train now and selling product at literally a 100% above msrp. I have unfortunately been buying from Gamestop and Target for tcg needs now. Anyone paying $80 for a $40 item (sun and moon etbs) is out of their mind. Not supporting scalpers. Hope the owner sees that price gouging a customer base isn’t long term effective.

They have a whole room dedicated to Warhammer. Im happy, also a whole section for pathfinder as well. 5 stars.

Loved it what a great lil place with a good selection of merchandise AND ice cream you can enjoy while you browse or check out the back room and play some ol school arcade games and pin ball machines. The employees were amazing and helpful definitely recommend stopping in the only downside to it is no public restroom but there are ones near by if needed

I love this place and will definitely continue shopping here to support the business through the pandemic. My only issue was part of the comics were closed off for maintenance with a sign that said ask for assistance. I did ask for assistance but I was told those were off limits due to repairs. I really want to spend money here but I need to be able to see whats for sale. Ive been here numerous times and have always had great customer service, this was just one time.Edit: My apologies, Im sure the mural will look great. I was just confused on why it said ask for assistance. I understand that I personally am not allowed back there, I just required assistance like the sign says. Thanks for the response

Very cool Spot ..my first visit was great. .. didnt find the New Avengers Annual #1 2014 issue .. . . But came away with a great buy played a couple of rounds of pinball. I had Fun here at Zia Comics and will be back. Even my Girlfriend walked away with a mini Deadpool of her very own (he was riding a pink unicorn).

Very awesome places recommend going at least once if your into any fiction or anime stuff

If youre coming here for Pokemon TCG products, avoid this place like a plague. Ive bought the Chilling Reign expansion at a tiny markup a few weeks ago which I didnt mind, because a lot of retailers didnt carry much besides boosters, but aside from boosters having a small markup, every other Pokemon TCG product is price gouged to ridiculous amounts. Theyre pricing items nearly double the msrp. It is worse than actual scalpers. I saw a damaged Venusaur Vmax box priced for $49.99 and Sun and Moon ETBs for $89.99 (Probably explains why they have over 10 of them sitting there. Anyone with half a brain would not pay/support that price). You can google both these products and find tons of sellers on TCGplayer or similar websites pricing them 5-10 more dollars than msrp. Theres no way theyre buying these products, for THAT MUCH, from distributors to warrant these prices. Ive bought manga and Pokemon products in the past from them to help support a local shop, but from now on after seeing this Ill try my luck with retail stores or sellers that dont have these ridiculous markups. Inexcusable.Reply to the Owner:Distributors raising their prices justifies you selling nearly every product for double the msrp? Id understand a small markup, but this is shameful. This is worse than actual scalpers, because at least you have distributors. Youve told people it was to combat scalpers, when what youre doing is much worse. Youre also part of the problem.

My shared #1 top store in Las Cruces, shared only with Coas. Nerd station. Love the discount comic section ive filled up 4 small boxes already 80% of them come from here. Nice staff, super friendly, will talk shop with you and arent snobs about it. Very helpful amd kind through the pandemic. TheOnly 3 tiny minor suggestions/wishlist i have for this store is:1) i think they should carry video adaptations of their manga and comics (Blu Ray & DVDs) Some Anime videos are hard to find at chains so i think if he had a small section for videos they would also sell.2)discounts for buying 3 or 4+ volumes of manga/tpb/omno in one transaction. Ex: buying 1-5 of my hero academia we would get a percentage off.(Excludes floppy single issue comics)3) make some single issue comics(floppys) available onlineWell thats my 2 cents lol I hope my suggestions are considered and no offense. Still my shared favorite store in las cruces. Love you guys hope youre around for a long long time.

Great selection, some really cool and obscure stuff! Highly recommended.Only real downside is that I could only find Ram figures, even though its universally agreed that Rem is superior in every conceivable way. But I cant fault them on that, Im sure Rem is just way more popular and sells out quicker. To be perfectly honest, I think its strange that Ram is so popular given how much less important she was to the story, but I havent really w--OH RIGHT THIS IS A REVIEW.Uhhh, yeah, 5/5 definitely go here if you want anything related to comics, trading cards, tabletop games, collectibles, Warhammer, etc.

Great little comic store with tons to choose from like D&D items to comics and much more.

Not only is their product AWESOME but so are the ladies that work here. It was super easy to find what I was looking for and the cashiers were incredibly sweet. I made the hour drive to come here and I definitely don’t regret it

Great comic book shop!! Tons of awesome comics including silver age stuff. Plenty of sweet statues and busts for sale as well. And lots of DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS items to suit your fantasy needs! Friendly and knowledgeable staff and they close at 10pm!! What more could you want?!

The layout of the store is really nice, super easy to find everything. I just wish the staff werent so awesome at helping me find just what I need, in the rare occasion I can find it myself.Plus, its so refreshing to be able to have actual conversations with people that look you in the eyes, and genuinely seem interested in what I say/get excited over. It has spoiled all my shopping experiences anywhere else.And Im glad to see the prices are always in line with the market values. A lot of stores like to artificially inflate things based on collectibility, which is super lame. But I know at Zia if it doesnt have the store price sticker then its the price on the barcode! And thats always reassuring... keep up the great work in our community!Its also so extremely important that this place is totally a safe space for people of all walks of life. Like as long as you are nice and respectful, they treat you like kings and queens!!!Ive lived and worked in this town for 20+ years. In that time, Ive seen a lot of my favorite places close their doors. But Zia Comics have been there for over 8 years (at time of writing) so they must be doing something right!My one regret is that I dont have more money to throw at them for all of the pretty things I want...

Drove an hour to get here with kids, buying sets, and they wont let us use a bathroom, if someone is playing a game they can use the bathroom but we cant let our five year old pee. This is why people buy on Amazon instead of local

They have a variety of items ranging from comics, board games and minis. The employees were very helpful when I was deciding what paints to use for my Warhammer minis. They also gave me some helpful tips when painting them.

Plenty for everyone in the family with a cool arcade in the back! We will be back.

Place is wonderful, a prime spot for all board games, card games, comics and much more. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They regularly host events not to mention you can get some ice cream and snacks.

Do not support this store, a couple friends and I called to see if a new shining fates elite set was in (Pokémon) since everywhere else was sold out which is going for $49.99 at any retailer. We were told they were so we hurried over. Little did we know they were selling them double the msrp ($99.99). Their excuse was to combat scalpers, but doesnt that make them the scalpers considering they are a legal distributor (buying them at less than market value) and selling them for an inflated price? They are taking advantage of the shortage and trying to make money off of a game that everyone could and should be enjoying. This is honestly just pure greed and ruins their reputation for a quick buck.To answer the owners response, I want to start off by saying that you are comparing your prices to the prices of the scalpers you were claiming to try and combat... You are also a legal retailer taking advantage of your guarantee of the product to inflate the price, which also justifies the scalpers intentions of increasing their prices higher as well. I whole heartedly was in love with your store and the fact that there was a place that could survive in a town as small as this. Especially due to the fact nerd culture is highly looked down upon here, but I see now I was wrong to expect much considering you look at everything from a pure business perspective. You would be making money by selling them at normal msrp like everywhere else (target, walmart, super gamers, and every other legal retailer) you claim the prices are above MSRP everywhere.Also Panduh though you are literally an employee and its illegal for you to leave a review, Ill still say that though its a local store it doesnt change the fact that youre a legitimate distributor. Again this is a review and its my opinion so take that as you may.

My kids, 19, 16, 16 all boys loved the store. We visit all the comic book stores during our travels. Kids explored while I played game after Game of pinball. Sound was turned up so you are fully engaged in each game.Great stop for kids and dads and maybe cool moms.

I came for the board games (which they had an excellent selection of), and I ended up with some comics and merch as well. Super friendly staff, lots to look at, and overall a great selection. Love it, and i hope to be back this way in the future so I can come back!

Such a huge selection of comics, figures, board games, and more. One visit is not enough to see all this store has. Friendly knowledgeable staff, and an arcade in the back of the store..... you have to visit to see all it has to offer.

Awesome place, a palace of escapism!

As someone who loves comics, its very hard to like this store. They never have enough new comics in stock. You can arrive at opening time on Wednesday when they new comics are out, and there still wont be enough of even the most popular titles. They constantly insist on subscriber boxes. Beyond that, they dont sell comics by grade. The worst condition back issues are absurdly expensive for their condition. The best ones are normal price. Its really more of a game store, despite the name. They restrict access to their bathroom as well, despite having a business that sells ice cream and food items. I have tried hard to like them, but they really make it difficult.

This place has a great selection of comics as the name would suggest, if you are looking for games then this has a great selection as well but not as vast as the comics. You will still find something to catch your eye if you are looking without a goal in mind as I constantly do whenever I visit. Oh and yeah they have a lot of Funko Pop as well

Have come here 3 times and each time its the same thing. Rude customer service, no help when asking about particular issues which is expected if you work at a comic shop, and when you do ask its like youre annoying them. They do have a great selection of comics, pops and everything geek but its no wonder their store is always empty.

We came in for a game night and it was great. The staff were friendly and helpful, happy to show us around, had demo games on hand to play, and even the other customers were quick to jump in and offer suggestions and tips. Very welcoming community of folks. Couldnt be happier.

Tons of tabletop games, comics, figures, and manga too. Stumbled on this place about a year ago and I love being able to support something right in our area when I am looking for tabletops games especially. They have a great selection of the latest Funko Pop figures in anime and manga too. Theres something for everyone who likes Marvel, DC, and other comics.

The staff was really freindly, also I didnt get the guys name but he was really helpful. Great selection of Magic The Gathering cards too.

Overall okay first time experience with their online ordering. Disappointed how damaged one of my funko pop boxes came(you can tell it wasnt damaged upon delivery). On the site they list generic pictures and honestly should show or specify the condition its in. Price was good tho for vaulted items however they ship with thick tissue paper. If you are an in the box collector make sure you call before purchase. Also shipping on their site was 10$ but came with a media mail label for $4.39. As stated overall okay first experience but I dont think Id purchase again from their online site unless pics and descriptions get updated.

Well organized comic book store with a wide variety of products - card games, POPs, figurines, dice, and a play area that looks spacious and fun.

Such a great group of people and a great selection. I’ve been to many comic shops but this local shop is really amazing. They get so involved with their community and it lets me know they’re not some big Corp store trying to just rack in money. They really care about their customers and go above and beyond. I love bringing my kids in and we are hoping to visit the new location this weekend :) definitely worth going in and shopping

This is a tough store to rate. Selection of modest, but not bad for a store of their size. Staff was available, but not terribly helpful, though its possible they just didnt want to be intrusive.It looked like they had some play space, but it looked REALLY tight. I guess in general, the bulk of their issues simply stem from having a really tight footprint. A small space can really limit what they are able to do.They had a lot going on in such a small space. I have to wonder though if the tight quarters make people uncomfortable or even lead to people overlooking some items.Its not a bad spot though and fortunately we were able to take our time. We ended up buying a couple of t-shirts.

Zia Comics is the best! My husband and I go for their board games. What we love most about Zia Comics is that their staff in extremely attentive. If you have questions or are looking for a new game to play they go above and beyond to explain the game excitedly and usually offer to actually show you the game if you have some time. We actually backed one of the owners Kick Starter game. The new location in the downtown mall is awesome and I cant wait to visit more. Have and will continue to recommend Zia Comics

Thank you for being open at night in our beautiful downtown! When strolling after a late dinner downtown it was great to stop in for your ice cream. We need more businesses to stay open so downtown can become the place to go in the evenings for everyone. Thank you, again!

Great comic book store. Its big and has a great variety of things. They carry comics, paints, board games, paints and much more. They have events and definitely knoe their stuff. A little pricey but overall great store.

Place keeps getting better and better, especially after the move. This is by far the best board game place in town, but its also a great pop culture store in general. Its incredibly welcoming while still maintaining credibility among niche audiences.

Awesome place! Went to learn the game Keyforge there with my wife and the staff was very friendly. They have a great selection of merchandise from comics to action figures to games. This is my new favorite store!

Its a nice place with friendly people. Every Saturday they host a game night which you can play many assorted board games.

I loved this store. So much cool merchandise. The lady at the counter was really knowledgeable about the merchandise, so we got to talk to her for awhile about the HTTYD shows and movies. They had all kinds of comic books, things related to comics, games, D&D stuff, and more. I definitely want to go back to look around!

Used to come here a lot and always loved Game Night! The staff were always helpful as were the guests. I learned how to play so many awesome board games here. 10/10 would recommend! Glad to start coming back again.

Decent enough comic book shop. Their new release comics lack in number, but make up for it in variants. The staff is helpful and knowledgeable. They also have a good amount of back-issue comics, with a variety of bronze age books up to modern.

I love this place. If I could, I would so love to work there. But if youre a Comic book person youll fall in love with the place its a big space full of comics, bobbleheads, collectable statues, and a bunch of other amazing stuff. And the events that they have are incredible. Just like free comic day 👍👍 highly recommend going.

I go to this store every week! I love the friendly environment and the store staffs knowledge. I can always find something I like. If you need gifts for the family comic fan try this store out. The pull-list system is great and offers a discount on your NEW titles. Check it out, stop in and you will not be disappointed. They carry just about everything comic and gaming related. One of the few remaining places family owned an operated. Do not even waste your time at the other shops around town GO to ZIA!

Its a really fun atmosphere and great staff! Extremely big and very well kept! My favorite part is the Thanos demo station. Its really amazing because its welcoming to newbies or even to the people just getting ice cream. Ive been to a few comic/board games shops in other cities who cant be bothered with you unless you know what you are talking about. Especially one in the city of ABQ. Even though Im an avid board gamer your store is my favorite.

It’s a neat store for sure. Their new venue is much more spacious than the old one, so it’s easier to walk around and not be afraid you’re gonna accidentally bump into an expensive figurine or statue. There’s a little bit of everything for everyone in here, from food to comics, to games to cosplay materials. It’s in a really great spot across from La Plaza and I hope this shop does well here!

Great shop for comic and tabletop game needs! The small arcade in the back is pretty neat, theres a solid selection of merch, and there arent just comic books, but also books on making comic books.

A lovely comic/game store (lgs) that is well worth the trip. They maintain an impressive collection of board games, comics, ttrpg books, & ttrpg supplies at very reasonable prices. There is need to pay extra for their members gaming library -- one earns access simply by making regular purchases (brilliant!). The building also includes rooms customized specifically for ttrpgs and maintains groups that play popular rpgs such as D&D in addition to areas for board games. Its awesome, & you should go!

Newly released comics are sorta lacking but everything else is great about the store.
