I ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE!This wonderfully built building is almost sound proof! They also have outside shaded seating.The employees were happy to serve us.The food was good and simple.They sold ADORABLE rings for $19 if I remember correctly, as well as other items.Very vibrant colors, just what I expected from New Mexico ♡

Very sad to put 2 starts, the food was good. The guy who took our drinks and order was great. The lady who delivered our food was unpleasant. Dropped off our food and walked off didn’t ask if we needed anything. When we first arrived she made it a point to say out loud that we would have to wait because people were there before us. We understand restaurants rules, but to be obnoxious about it isn’t okay. I asked who our server was and who would keep the tip and she said both. I was not okay with that. The cook/server deserved out tip. Hoping service will be better when we go back.

There was nothing really wrong, but nothing stood out as good. The latte tasted like it was lacking in espresso. The muffins had real blueberries, which was nice, but other than being huge and sweet, nothing too great. This is located in the historic district, which may make it convenient for tourists, it also has an ambience for a very particular crowd, and if its your crowd, youll probably love it, otherwise you might feel a bit out of place.

Cafe de Mesilla is a lovely restaurant. First time experience. Our waitress, Joy, was great. I had the Chicken Panini with Posole in green. Scrumptious. We will return.

We came in for breakfast on 9/4/21. We stop to try this location before heading back to Austin Tx and it wasnt that great. The lady that was serving wasnt very welcoming. The coffee is so water down that it has an awful taste we decided to just have water. My omelette was a little burned and dry. We never had the chance to ask the lady server for napkins or a different drink since she never came to our table. At the end we hold on to respect but for sure we will not coming back to this place.

This was the best breakfast food in town! Joyce was fantastic, incredibly friendly and attentive and the food was incredible. It had a wonderfully cute atmosphere and was very clean. If we ever come back to Las Cruces we will 100% be coming back.

This was one of the first breakfast stops we visited when we first moved to Las Cruces. The owner is wonderful and the decor is delightful. The pancakes are very good here too!

The Caramel macchiato and French toast are so good. Just wish I had more Syrup. The eggs are done just the way I like them.

Loved this beautiful place and our lovely hostess! Joyce went out of her way to chat with us, sharing about our mutual adventures and home town attractions. We had two wonderful breakfasts (huevos rancheros and the breakfast burrito) and tried out both the red and green chili sauces—delicious. Awesome strong coffee. The ambiance is about as charming as it gets—local artwork and handiwork everywhere. The courtyard is incredible—wish it had been warm enough to hang out there. Oh, and it cost less than $20 for two breakfasts and two coffees—Very inexpensive for the quality. 😄Thank you, Cafe de Mesilla! Hope to see you again soon. 💞🌍💞

I DO NOT recommend unless your looking to get sick. Took a group here the wait was so long to just get a table with the restaurant half empty. Soon as we got a table we placed orders and it was almost an hour long wait for our food to come out. Once we got the food not a single dish was good, the food was very very disappointing. And the cooks in the back were arguing so loud the entire restaurant could hear.

I really wanted to like this place. I’d been a few years back and it was good. But our experience was subpar. The service was friendly enough but super slow, the coffee was weak with grounds floating in it. My husbands burger patty was half the size of the bun and unseasoned, no ketchup or mustard and maybe 3 pieces of green chili on it. My huevos rancheros was also super bland, the red chili was watery and I left severely disappointed. The art on the walls was cool… but I won’t be going back.

Small patio but quaint with a lot of shade. The pancake berry roll is HUGE- share it. Very tasty, huevos rancheros were good. Skip the Italian soda. Overall good place!

Nice people, tragically bland food.I got a breakfast burrito that needed basics like salt, not to mention actual expected spice.The red sauce it was covered in was basically the mild red la víctoria sauce which went a long way to improving the filing.I was disappointed.

Counter person was very rude. Tried to turn us away when we walked in the door, even tho we had placed a call in order. Also they cut our to-go burritos in half so they were cold before we even got there. The muffin was dry and bland. Wanted to like this place since it’s near my house but it seems like they’re just there for the tourists.

We have two favorite restaurants in Las Cruces. This is one of them! Great service and great food! We have brunch here every other Saturday and have never been disappointed.

It was flavorful and mild enough for my daughter and me to enjoy! This morning we were serenaded by a talented local musician while we dined. Its a nice place with tasty food.

This is one of the most comfortable homey place to eat in the area and perfect for Mesilla. The parking lot is like a corral and the building has wonderful quicks. There is a good menu and the lovely owner will see to it that most requests are followed even if not on the menu. The sandwiches and Mexican dishers are really good.

Quaint charming and friendly cafe environment. Looks like a locals favorite. New Mexico style cuisine and contenental food, hamburgers, all-day breakfast are examples.

We are from So. Cal. We are accustomed to great Mexican food. Cafe de Mesilla has it all over SC. Nice, quiet pet friendly patio. First heard about it on Bring Fido. I had the Huevos Rancheros with green sauce. Gonna be hard to top this one, but fun trying. My wife had the Veggie Omelette. She was happy with her choice as well. Very laid back. If youre in a rush, skip this place. If you have time to soak up the old town charm...set on down. Super nice owner. Happy to see local independents are still in the game. Cant say the same thing back home. Another reason to fall in love with Mesilla. We will add this to our favorites for our annual visit.

Fantastic find here! Delicious, fresh breakfast. Veggie omelette hit the spot. They even made us custom sourdough French toast. Coffee was strong and milk options were plentiful.

My girlfriend, child, And I are passing through Las Cruces on our way home to Washington from Louisiana. Looked up a breakfast joint and decided on this one, and Im glad I did. The food and atmosphere on the patio was amazing! The staff was very kind and accommodating. Also had masks on which aids in safer environment while numbers start to spike again. The monte cristo was delicious along with the French toast and Mean Joe Green burrito. 10/10 recommend for breakfast .

The food was okay but the service was horrible. We waited for about 15-20 min a table (which was empty) But the lady kept saying she had to take care of other tables before she could sit us. We finally sat and she brought us water. I asked for straws and she said she’d be back with them. After waiting on the straws for a bit, I went inside to ask for them myself. The lady was just standing there and realized she had forgotten. Towards the end, I asked for a to-go box and again she forgot.

Always friendly and helpful with recommendations. Fresh salads, great Chicken Tortilla soup, good sandwiches, and teas. Outdoor seating space is adequate but not up to Mesilla standards. Could be so much better fixed up. Plenty of parking. We ride our bikes here almost every weekend. Nice, mellow ambience and usually good service.

If you want to be part of the Mesilla family you have to go to Cafe de Mesilla. The food is great, the coffee is delicious and the ambience is perfect for locals and visitors alike. The owner will always take a minute to chat and introduce you to a new treat or a new friend. The menu is fresh and varied; sandwiches, soups, salads or New Mexico specialties round out a great breakfast selection that is served all day. There are always vegetarian and vegan options and they are tasty. This is not fast food and there can be a crowd--scan the parking lot first if you are in a huge hurry. We always wait, because the art work, crafts. Polish pottery, and Joyces friendly conversation is more than worth a couple of extra minutes. This is the kind of cafe where you end up chatting with folks at the next table and leave with a new friend.

After reading all the reviews, I was really excited to give this place a shot! Well, my experience was not so pleasant. We were asked to wait to be seated, people who got there after us were seated before us. The gentleman working stated I can tell that party to move if you want. How rude! Its a small place you cant forget us waiting in front of the counter. We just left and want somewhere else. Couldnt say it was a good experience since we were ignored. There could of been better ways to handle this situation.

Out of the way place with charm. No french fries

I’m so sad that I’m giving this place 2 stars. The only reason it isn’t getting a one star is because of the amazing food. The service made this cozy cute restaurant an almost one star. As I said, the food was soooo good! We just won’t be coming back due to the bad attitude of the waitress. Our drink order was NEVER taken so all we had to drink was water when it was morning and we all would have enjoyed some coffee. And the waitress gave me an attitude when I wanted to pay so we could just get out of there. I hope this place gets the help it needs so we can maybe one day come back...

Super slow service, food was only average, the Chile is super mild. Tiny portions for the price. Saw the server twice. Sat for 10 minutes before even taking our drink order and then drinks came out with food. Paid for a refillable coffee and got one radio because no one was around. Wont be coming back.
