I went in. Found a car. Quickly. Easy sale. Was a buyer with a good credit score 710 or better, rare in Las Cruces. They let me walk out. I called 2 days later to negotiate and they would not budge one penny off asking price on a car whose trade invalue is 13k they were asking 17.9 for. I thought Id spend my money at a local small business considering the times but now I know not to. Ill never go there again nor do i/will i recommend the place to anyone I know.FYI most of these positive reviews are fake...friends, family members, employees.Easy to prove.

Base auto sales did a great job, Monica was not only skilled in her job but went beyond what one would usually expect. Same with the rest of the staff. I notice how the staff themselves feel at home and comfortable in their jobs and people actually were happy to be there. I have bought many cars in private sales and a few from used car lots before and I must say, even when my bank had issues making things take longer, I still enjoyed the delayed time I spent with Base auto. They helped me every step of the way charged my phone and more. The amazing vehicle i got was in great condition for its age, also being rare vehicle to find, one might think its just my own luck or synchronicity, but actually good things actually usually come from good places. Base Auto is the place to have these lucky vehicles because the staff is no nice and they are on the level. So people who are ready to upgrade will likely do so at Base. The result is Base probably has a great inventory even when other places are struggling with Covid and low inventory from the current used car shortage. Highly recommend.

Monica was a very dull car salesman. My girlfriend was looking to purchase a car today via trade-in, and stated that she truly does not have a limit on how much she would put towards a down payment. Monica’s lack of enthusiasm and ill-timed request to test drive OUR vehicle after we stated we were not interested in the Dodge van she let us test drive killed our interest in doing business with this dealer. When you have a customer ready to meet the terms necessary to purchase a vehicle, you jump on that deal, you don’t walk out lackadaisical with food in your mouth and saying “Yes, yes this vehicle is great,” in response to every question a customer has.

This place is TERRIBLE. Not only do they do terrible paint jobs, we had to have the car painted twice and it still wasn’t done correctly with dust particles all over. They also LIED and showed fake or false carfax when I went to trade in the car I bought there, immediately I was told just by the lady looking at our car that it had been in multiple accidents, which were also shown on the REAL carfax info searched up at the dealership I was trading in at. Lastly, Ron is a HORRIBLE business person. The way you treated Dom was & still is unexpectable. Here’s your yearly reminder, we both have not forgot how terrible your business is. Ron is a crook, he still owes my friend cash. He sold a car with accidents as a clean car. My friend promised ron that he will never forget and never stop trying to get back what is owed to him. After selling the car they ignored all phone calls and even threatened to sue because of a review that he would not delete. I am going to send the BBB as well. RON thinks he does not have to do anything and maybe that will be the case for months to come or maybe years but I am going to join my friend and let everyone know. This is not right. He called many times and even emailed with no response. This is not acceptable. RON did wrong

My buying experience was very smooth. We ran into a problem with the vehicle and the repair shop chosen for an in warranty issue. However, after I retrieved the vehicle and had it repaired by my own mechanic, Base Auto was quick to reimburse me. That was class. I would recommend them.

Very disappointing experience. I was given a dirty car with 8% oil life and a key fob with a bad battery. I washed the car to discover two chips in the wind shield. Which were not on my paper work of listed damages and the windshield was so dirty even I didn’t see them. I guess that’s why they didn’t wash it. This was my first time buying a car and seeing the way my parents have been treated so well and respectfully by dealerships when they purchase cars including one here at this location and my sister recently purchasing a car else where their experiences were the complete opposite of mine.

Thanks for sharing the info I am against people like this. I cannot believe the ford was that messed up. I was shown the carfax that mercedes pulled on the car and it came up with about 4 accidents. The report he was shown had none. This needs to go to court. I am going to contact the BBB. DONT GO HERE

RON, The owner is a crook. They showed me a FAKE carfax showing no accidents. A year later I traded the car in with Mercedes. BAD NEWS. The car was in 3 collisions prior. I did not have one accident while owning the car. Since then, I got insider news from a fired employee (cannot mention name) He told me they are instructed to do whatever it takes to sell a car even if thats faking the carfax. WOW. Ron still never called me. I promised him for the rest of my life he will hear from me though. UNACCEPTABLE. He chooses to be this way then I cant change that but I will make everyone aware of this fraudulent place. People are mostly honest and work hard for their money.

I went here to purchase my first vehicle and my bank only approved me for so much after taxes I kindly told me I could not afford the car and they laughed at me and said good luck finding the car they they will approve... just for their info I did find an 11500 car AFTER taxes which was a 2010 with 65k miles unlike the Mazda they were trying to sell me which was a 2012 Mazda with 70k miles for 13k before taxesThis experience was two years agoBut I had a friend recently go there and have the same experience... referred her to L and L motors and she just drove off the lot with her new car

Bought a car from them 2 years ago and paid all money down on it in one shot. Had to replace a blown head gasket, bad coil, AC clutch, Bad Oxygen sensor, and 500 $ for brand new tires, since the back ones where stripped inside. All with in the first 6 months of having the car. I have taken the car back to them many times and they just turn off the check engine light. If you want to waste money on a car where you have to put in way more then its blue book value shop here.

I got stationed in El Paso and for the first two months I would walk around base to get where I needed too. Sometimes 3-4 miles. I came to base auto sales with a car in mind and they helped show me a car that was even better and heres I am today in the car I love.

Worst place to buy a car at! I bought a Ford Fusion here back in 2015. The car had some damage to it and we agreed to have the damage fixed if I make the purchase. I decided to proceed. The car was taken in by the business as promised. When i got the car back, it was a disaster. We are talking paint runs, over spray on my interior, rims and damages to plastic covers. I complained, they took the vehicle back. After taking the vehicle back in, the only thing that was done to my knowledge is polishing and a little cleaning. Paint runs, Razor marks and a horrible buffing job remains. I can only advise to stay away from this business and go somewhere else to avoid problems. After posting a review in facebook, I was threatened with a lawsuit against me. This does not hold me back from warning people about the business they do.Franky, the car salesmen is in my opinion one of the worst, claiming that I have missed appointments and that I was not home when they came to my house. Nobody ever came to my house and requested to pick up my car.The reply to my initial complaint to the BBB was full of lies and wrongful assumptions.Please see attached pictures about the job they did. Unbelievable!

Mark was a very pleasant and professional salesman to work with. He did his job.... Thank you. It was when the finance officer took over the deal, and LIED to us, is when I should have walked away, The car was sold with an implied warranty, which I signed. I asked about what this warranty covers, he pointed out major defects, and the paragraph that showed that if it was not highway safe, we could return the car within 15 days or 500 miles. We took the car back 6 days later after we realized the front end SHIMMIED like a paint can shaker when you excelled from 60-80 mph. We decided the car had a serious problem and cannot be used to travel with. When we went back, with the implied warranty, the salesman lied about where the owner was (said he was in a meeting), then when owner returned with leftovers from his lunch, he proceeded that we could not return the car. Husband got irate and Finance manager Ru came out to calm things down. We explained again, the problem. They then told us, that they had the opportunity to repair any problems. So they took the car out and test drove it. Turns out it had BAD front tires (wire was exposed) and the motormounts were broke. They offered to order new mounts and replace them, and replaced the 2 front tires. I believe we are now satisfied with the transaction, but will NEVER buy or recommend them to anyone. OWNER and FINANCE MANAGER are ASSES, and lie through their teeth...... I cant think of any other job that employs more scummier people than them.... LIE LIE LIE......

Very helpful when it comes to selling you the vehicle but the vehicles are junk and fall apart right away. Theyre severely doctored up till you drive it off the lot. Weve had problems since the second day we got it and have gone through 3 engines (Thats right.....3 engins) and only had the truck 4 months. Thankfully it was within warranty of 500 miles. The owner and manager dodge my calls and wouldnt keep in touch to let us know what was going on with the truck. They wouldnt buy it back or trade it for another vehicle . Out of the four months that weve had the truck weve only been able to drive it a little over a month. The rest of the time its been in the shop. BUYERS BEWARE! Salesman Frank was the only one who did what he could to get me answers. The only way to talk to the manager was to drive 2 1/2 hours one way to Las Cruces to talk to him. Bad bad bad for business!

Well, I usually do not bother with writing reviews. To be completely honest, I think this is my second review since I have a sense of reason. That is how bad of a business this place is. If I could give just half a star I would, heck not even a star. Hopefully, you take the time to read this so you can save your time and money and dont go to this place. I bought a truck from this place on October 2017. They told me everyhting was good they had their mechanics work on the vehicles weekly. Yes, I know I should still have taken the truck to an independant mechanic, but I didnt. Figure local resident, local business help each other out. Well, not the case, the first oil change I conducted after just driving 3,000 miles, the mechanic at a local shop tells me that my coolat is low and the reason behind it, is because the water pump has been leaking for quite a while. I only had the vehicle for 4-5 months and only used it within the city. I go back and of course they give me the the warranty you got doesnt cover that sorry. The name of the slaesman is KALEB RUSH, and the owner of manager is RON. So, I seriously suggest not to do business with this place even if the vehicle looks great. If you do take that vehicle to an independant mechanic for an inspection. This place is garbage.
