Needed 2 pieces of glass cut. First day had someone the manager seemed nervous with the employee cutting the glass. When I got home the first piece broke. Went back they charged to replace their mistake. Went to install the second piece of glass here are pictures. They had a very bad attitude including an employee walking off.

Usually terrible customer service, this time from a supervisor. Dont bother with this place if you can help it. Go to Johnsons on Picacho if you are able - its a much better and more helpful local store to support.

The 10 year old Elantra is not just your moms station wagon anymore just like the other big box home improvement stores are not Sutherlands. I havent been here in a bit and I need to make sure to go back more frequently. I found some things here that walmart was out of, home depot didnt have or I didnt see, and Im still waiting for an online order to come through for lowes... Sutherlands is where I should have gone to first... Im not saying all that I got here, but will say I forgot that this place sells screws by the pound..i wont make any jokes about that...(but they do plainly state you get screwed by the pound...) and I picked up some boxes of nails and some other knicks and knacks.. they also had some denim jeans and some other western wear as well as furniture pieces... you have to just go in here and check it out. Some stuff is a better deal than other places some stuff isnt, some stuff is only available here, but just like anything else, unless you check it out, you wont know. I did find some wood stain I havent been able to find anywhere else, and in looking for a vent fan to fix my damaged one, while I didnt find it here, I did find it elsewhere, thanks to Sutherlands. They had my brand (which I didnt know what it was) and that was very helpful.This is a much more laid back and less stressful place than the bigger stores in town and for the long timers around here, takes me back to the days when it was Cashway (which was the biggest home improvement store we had around here then and that place was always bumping with activity.The staff here has always been awesome. Courteous, knowledgeable,and friendly. Also, years ago when there was a water heater issue....Never forget to check Sutherlands for water heaters. . They had the most affordable one, then, and in looking at them today, still do.Im surprised this place has lasted this long and hope it keeps going, but this is one of the last original or anchor businesses of the El Paseo corridor and I am guilty of overlooking it as well. I think many of us have become so accustomed to what El Paseo doesnt have anymore, that we forget about what it still does..which isnt much but this place is still there and there are some food deals hereI am going to make sure I pop in here more frequently and cannot reiterate enough- go check Sutherlands out- its not a throwback but yet it is-- and thats a good thing. The word Americana comes to mind in thinking about it...they close at 7 but take the time tomorrow to go check it out. Youll be pleasantly surprised. I also picked up one of these cool little flashlights and in case the connection isnt made-- I have this wood to do some things with and wanted to see what wood finish/products/stain etc, they had here and was not disappointed. I will tell you that cherry stain seems hard to come by around here and with the one I found here, I now have black cherry, light cherry, and regular cherry flavored stain. :-)I also bought a bucket. (I wanted this one,but usually its because I didnt think I needed a cart...)

Do not recommend this place at all theres no one around to help you they all hang out by the cashiers four 2 five guys then you go ask for help and all you get told is you should find it by the back . I asked Can you please show me? And then I get told yeah its not hard to find its by the back so I just left

Despite the signs on the door, mask wearing during a pandemic is apparently optional here, well for the employees at least. All the customers I saw there were doing their pat and wearing masks but NOT ONE of the 6 employees standing around were wearing their mask or wearing it with their nose sticking out. For this reason and the fact that I can never fill my shopping list with their bad selection Ill never go there again. I try to shop local but Sutherlands sucks

This small home and garden store is great for a quick in and out shopping experience.

Needed potting soil. Easy in, quick check out.

Fast and convenient place to get what you need. Avoid the lines especially during this lockdown mess, they have christmas lights for this season and the place is practically empty so it feel much safer then a crowded store.

All three employees clustered at the entrance werent wearing masks. Very disappointing. I have been doing all my home improvement projects through them but I wont be going back. If Sutherlands doesnt care about our community then they dont deserve to last.

Walked into the store. No employees. Waited to be cashed out. No employees. Another customer asks if we have seen anyone cause he hasnt and wants to check out. I holla. Nothing. A guy in his... 20s? Walks over. Asks if we need help. Say yes. He says shes counting money and walks off. We ended up just leaving product else where.

I love Sutherlands, you get great customer service. If you go to Lowes or home depot your lucky if you get help. Ive always found what Ive needed everytime at Sutherlands.

I was looking for a brace to hold a pole on a wall. I could not find anyone to help me, so i went to the front desk. She told me to go look on aisle 18, and i spent 15 minutes looking there. When i first went to the area the were 4 employees standing there talking and it was not about work. When i went back to that area where they had been standing, no one was around. Not greeted upon arrival, although the employees did seem to making interesting plans for after work.When my disabled sister asked about a shopping cart she was told get it yourself.Yard helpers were rude, and had an attitude.Was not allowed to pick out lumber.Unable to fill order, although I had checked availability before driving 125 miles...had paid and encountered all other problems.Would highly suggest that you shop elsewhere.

Got everything you need just 25 percent higher than Walmart

Jeanette the cashier was rude and delivered terrible customer service. Everyone in the store was nice and pleasant except her. She needs to be in a work where she doesnt have to deal with people with that attitude of hers.

Asked if I could order Dickies overalls through them. The employee said yes but needed to give my information to the employee who works with the Dickies company. I said ok and gave my information. They have yet to return me a phone call with any information. If they cant do a simple task like this. How well do they function through out the company.

Great hardware store

I dont know if the times that I have been there were just all break times but no one is ever around. It takes many trips to a hardware store to get an idea of where things are. So without guidance, it really is not worth the hassle.
