I travel full time in business and its nice to find an honest, reliable mechanic shop with great rates for service. They got my car fixed within a few hours so we could get down the road to our next show. I highly recommend this place!

The worst. They arent even real mechanics. Theyre hobbiests posing as professionals and they have an excuse for everything.Save yourself time and money, find a real mechanic elsewhere.

The owner was very helpful and professional. Got my truck in and out and repaired my steering with quality parts and warrantied his work. Friendly and knowledgeable, showed me what needed repair and had the repair done in short order. Shop was the cleanest and most organized auto repair shop Ive been in. Highly recommend them. Took my Sprinter van to them at the end of Oct 2020. Talked to a head mechanic (Mark I think) beforehand and was very hopeful because he took a good amount of time to talk over my issue. Basically, I was seeing signs of a blown head gasket. I knew it would be a major and expensive job but after talking to mark I thought they were up for it.They were not. They did find a fuel hose that was leaking and replaced it but said that was the source of my problems. They said they tested my van for a blown head gasket but found nothing and gave it back. After driving it for weeks and still noticing problems, (my coolant had gone from slowly disappearing to quickly disappearing) I have discovered a massive amount of coolant in my oil. Basically these guys couldnt be bothered to take the time to find a problem even when told exactly where to look. I could see the signs and Im no professional mechanic.My mistake was trusting them instead of my own senses and now my engine is probably in way worse shape than it was in Oct. If there was a chance it was fixable then Im sure ill have to replace the whole engine now. If your taking your car to these guys for anything complex...Be Warned. I could go into a couple other problems I had with them but obviously they are minor compared to this.I have attached a pic of oil syphoned out of my van. After left alone for a while you can see the large layer of water that has settled on the bottom.And yes, There was oil seeping from the head gasket on the exhaust manifold side. Not fuel. Confirmed by the competent mechanic I took it too later. Tests I did before taking it to you showed signs of exhaust in coolant system which points to head gasket. Mechanic I took it to after you diagnosed it no problem. Seems like you are the weakest link.

They failed to apply our AAA discount to final bill (the only reason we took it there was because AAA recommended and we were suppose to get a discount). When we told them the discount was never allied the liner said our wad our responsibility to tell them at check out. Even though we had already had the vehicle serviced there just days before and had to take it back because they failed to fix whatever wad wrong with it in the first place. That first we used our AAA membership so they knew we were members. I paid over $2000 and they had the vehicle for over 2 months collectively. At the end of it the A/C still didnt work. The owner was very rude and said if you have a problem your can take your car back. So I did, Ill gladly pay a more competent mechanic who will actually fix my car the first time as this is the 3rd time Ive had to take the car back to Aguirre Auto and its still having problems. #incompetentmechanics #conartists

Had a bad fuel filter they took care of us quickly. Could have had better service when picking up our truck. Mark was great! The guy who checked us out could use some customer service training from mark.

Wish I could give them a million stars!! I’ve come to the shop before and never been disappointed. I unfortunately have to go out of town tomorrow for a funeral. My vehicle was showing it had a coolant leak. I spoke with Keith, he voiced a concern about trying to travel with that kind of leak and got me in right away. They found the problem and fixed it with a very reasonable cost for parts and labor. Aguirre Shop saved me $$$ on having to possibly rent a car and pay to fix mine so I could make it to the funeral. Thanks guys for your awesome customer service!!!! They are the first ones I turn to for care of my vehicle, I’m never disappointed and think they are more than fair on their estimates.

Aguirre Auto went above and beyond to get me back on the road safely. I was visiting from out of town with the plan to drive back to Washington later in the week. On recommendation of family and friends we brought our van to this shop to be looked at due to an increasingly odd noise. On top of our urgency to get home later in the week it was also New Years. It would be reasonable for any shop to be busy and unable to get me in on such a short notice. The owner (and mechanics) went above and beyond to get things done which included coming in on New Year’s Day (a day they are normally closed) to finish the last bit. The diagnosis and attempts to keep the costs down were honest and very reasonable. If I lived in the area they would have a lifetime customer.

Never returned my inquiry for service on my vehicle. Finally heard back Weeks later and they refused to do the work because I was supplying the parts. Would not recommend, they just want your money by marking up price on the parts..

Excellent Customer Service. They will go the extra mile to find the right part for your vehicle. They will make every effort to make the timeline they set for the job. Should something go wrong (delivery of parts, etc) they will call and update you. This is an awesome shop for newer to older cars and trucks!

Mark and his folks have always been able to deal w/ the issues they had. Whenever there was a bring back, they jumped on it to quickly make it right!NOTHING HAS CHANGED, BUT I NOW HAVE A NEW VEHICLE, SO NOT A CHALLENGE FOR THE GUYS! STILL HAVE THE 6 OTHER OLD ONES, ONE ( 1992 INFINITI q45) SITTING AT THEIR SHOP, WAITING ON A BIT CALMER TIME!

When I first arrived in Las Cruces a friend told me this was the only place her husband would take their cars. Boy, was she right. Ive lived here 20 yrs now and Mark and Keith and their staff are always helpful. Its great to have somewhere to go where you know your car will be taken care of properly and you wont be price-gouged. Theyre super-friendly and always keep you informed if any additional problems are found. In addition theyre AAA Certified which always gives peace of mind.

We are from out of town and wandering NM this spring. They worked us into their busy schedule to replace a fuel line. I asked them to do their best to complete the repairs in one day, but that I had options for a second day. After closing hours, we received the call that the truck was ready. Their effort saved us unrelated expenses. Just look at their customer ratings, then you will know it is a good place to trust with your car or truck.

They were able to put a new starter in my car on the same day and their pricing was $300 less than the dealership.They were very polite and understood exactly what I needed. My car is running great.

CUSTOMER BEWARE: In a nutshell, I was charged over $100 more than I was quoted. I never received a call to let me know that the price was going to increase due to an incorrect quote. They just did the work and then charged my credit card. There was a mark-up on labor cost and over 100% mark-up on the part. I understand that you have to make money when you are in business, but you dont have to price gouge your customers either!After a return trip to pick up a copy of a detailed receipt, I did speak with the owner. He very reluctantly agreed that his son errored on the labor rate and returned $25 dollars.The experience is unfortunate, because the mechanic and front desk lady were very professional and courteous.I do NOT recommend Aguirre Auto for services, unless you have money to burn and are okay with being price gouged.This is such a shame because we are always looking out for good business to refer.

EXCELLENT service. If you want something fixed right the first time, this is the place to go. I tried Aguirre Auto after being spun around by various name-brand auto shops while trying to diagnose car issues that I was unable to personally diagnose. Aguirre Auto got it right the first time, and every time since. I do most of my own work, but when Im in a pinch and my money is worth more than my time, I bring my car problems to Aguirre Auto.

A Las Cruces native told me to go here when we were looking to get our van fixed. Even though I felt like they were a little pricey, they did an excellent job fixing our vehicle. Its running perfectly now. They did a great job.

**!! DANGER!! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!**This has to be the worst shop in the area. Theres a complete failure in customer service and an obvious attempt to gouge parts prices.I dropped my work vehicle off and explained I need it back ASAP for work. After 4 weeks of no contact from them, I went in to check the status of my vehicle and after about 10 minutes of obvious confusion, the owners son handed me the keys and told me he thought it was fixed, ready to go and suggested I test drive it. It didnt make it around the block.There was another week of no contact from them before I called in. He said there was internal engine damage and gave me an estimate to repair. During that conversation I specified an American- made part I wanted used rather than an Asian knockoff. That was Friday afternoon, and he promised to be in touch first thing Monday morning.As usual, I didnt hear from them and went in Monday afternoon. I was greeted with an estimate for significantly more than the previous estimate. Somehow the American- made part I requested that cost $25 more translated into an extra $650 worth of parts and labor.When I questioned this, this owners son became indignant and insisted the parts he orders cost 3 times as much because he personally warranties them. I asked why that wasnt covered by his labor warranty or the manufacturers warranty and he again became indignant and instead of providing an answer, told me he wasnt going to let me take my truck until I paid for the service he provided so far. When I asked him to clarify if that service was the neglectful lack of communication or the further destruction of my engine, he became irate and told me to get my truck off his property. I actually had to have my truck towed out of his shop.There was also strange charges on the estimate. Example, $200 for miscellaneous parts, and $65 for shop supplies in addition to the oil and antifreeze already on the estimate.If anyone is thinking of patronizing this shop, think twice and be prepared to be ignored, gouged, overcharged and ready to have your vehicle towed somewhere else. The shop I dealt with over the last 6 weeks is absolutely not the same shop that earned such a good reputation in the area 10 or 20 years ago.In response to the reply:I wish the shop could have had a fraction of the professionalism in person that they portray on Google reviews.To address the rebuttal, I anticipated the need to bring my truck in 1 day early, however that was not necessary and I brought it in the day I was requested to.My truck is not new, and I never gave any implication that it was. Its a 40 year old truck that has been rebuilt from the frame up, including brand new wiring and a clean engine bay. Theres nothing mysterious about this vehicle, just plain simple mechanics.And as for the condition of the truck, Im glad that was brought that up. One of the items that I requested inspection was the transmission not going into park, which was never addressed anywhere except here in the reviews. Another thing I asked to be inspected were sticking brakes. Due to the severe lack of communication, that was apparently never written down and instead I had to remind him there was a brake issue when he said he needed to drop the transmission and transfer case to inspect the reason why the truck was lagging. In retrospect, that appears to be another attempt at overcharging.As for the fuel, the truck was brought in with a 1/2 tank of fresh, ethanol-free gasoline. Im assuming that ended up the same place as my K&N air filter..As for the questions on the estimate and parts pricing, he regurgitated the same answer as in the response. However when I questioned why the part would need a separate warranty in addition to the manufacturers warranty and the labor warranty, thats when the young man became irate. I felt as if he was upset that I caught on to his overcharging method.All of the one star reviews have a similar theme of a failure of communication and professionalism, and the condescending response proves that.

I have been taking my car to Aguirre for about 7 years. I have always been completely satisfied withat theiron service. The staff is always helpful, courteous, and professional. If they encounter additional work that needs to be done, they always call to advise me before they proceed. I have also recommended Aguirre to two friends who were pleased with their service and have remained clients.

Diagnosed properly, repaired properly, a little pricey. But worth it to have repairs done right the first time. Pay attention to little details like grease on mat, window had hand prints all over, but no big deal.

This business has experienced, friendly staff and they have met or exceeded my expectations for car repair.

My pickup decided to fail the fuel pump and they stayed after hours to ensure I got to the shop .. they helped find a hotel and gave me a ride there and back after my truck was fixed ! Good friendly folks!!

We have an Volvo XC90 and we were looking for a reliable, trustworthy, and responsive auto repair business in Las Cruces. We found it at Aguirre Automotive. It was a pleasure dealing with Mark and Keith who answered all of our questions and communicated the status on our car. We had a situation where the check engine light kept coming on and the computer displayed several hundred error codes. Their recommendation was to clear the codes and see if they could get to the root cause of the problem before doing any unnecessary repairs. It turned out to be an easy fix and the Volvo is driving great. Thank you Aguirre Automotive!
