I brought in two antique lamps to have them repaired. Very nice store. They have beautiful light fixtures, ceiling fans and lamps to available for purchase.

We had three 100 year old light fixtures rewired and preserved. Dan did a fantastic job !

They fixed my favorite Lamp but they lack people skills

I took an heirloom Tiffany floor lamp for repair. Had never used this business before, so was hoping they would take good care of it. Wow, Dan did the repair, & went above & beyond my expectations. The lamp was returned perfectly, and on time. They also have unique light fixtures and lamp shades as well. Will definitely be a return customer in the future.

Well, let me tell you were remodeling our place and we bought some lamps but, yes theres always a but. So we were lacking a lamp shade, I thought💡hey maybe, really this is too yes too freakin simple ( the dam house of shades) 😎 not those kind but anyway weve gone to several places to find a lamp shade. Well let me tell you they dammed proud of there lamp shades at, get this, you ready..... $129.oo dollars yes not pesos, American dollars. The lamps we purchased with shades were only $50.oo bucks. So forget that place rip off!!!!!!!

This shop has the most BEAUTIFUL lighting and customer service. You just cannot find this anymore. Your jaw will drop when you walk in!

As a business owner, I am appalled at the customer service. After waiting months for 2 small pieces to come in to complete an order I was handed parts that were not in boxes and without instructions. After printing the instructions for me I was told it would be $50 for them to come and put the part in the fan. I would think, that after 3 months of waiting on this part, that would be complimentary to make things right and to keep the customer happy.

Worst Customer Service and follow up after the sale I have ever experienced!I went into the store on July 21, 2019 to see if they had a replacement for 2 bathroom ceiling LED flush mount lights. The young man who helped said they didnt have these items in stock but could order them. After he confirmed that his supplier had them in stock, he took my credit card, charge my credit card for almost $90 and said the lights would be in within 7-10 days and he said he would call me when they arrived. After over 2 weeks with no call I called them and asked about the status of the lights, I was told by a female that they will call me when they came in. I asked them to contact their supplier and get the shipment tracking details to get confirmation that they had been shipped and when they would arrive. I was told they would call the supplier get the details and call me back. I waited and after 3 days and finally had to called them. I spoke with the owner, Mike, he said he would get the details and call me back. I waited 3 more days and again when I did not get a call, I called them, I was told that their supplier in fact did not have them in stock and that they would look to another supplier to see if they could get the lights, I was told I would get a call back later that day to confirm they could get them, guess what? I waited 3 more days with no call back, by this time its been almost month so I went elsewhere to get the lights. I told them to just refund my credit card for the total amount of the charge - I was told by a female that they could not refund my card that their credit card system would not allow them to refund my card - I know this is a lie as all credit card systems allow for refunds. I asked to speak with Mike, they said he would be in at 12 noon and he would call me. I waited until 4pm that day and guess what? No call from Mike - again! I called back to speak with Mike and he would not take my call, I was told by a female that they would write out a check and mail it to me. I told them this was unacceptable and that I would be in that day before they closed to pick up my money. I arrived and without anyone offering an apology or saying a word the young man handed me an envelope, as I opened the envelope the young man said in a very rude tone its all there. I will never shop there again and would never recommend that anyone shop there. I gave them multiple opportunities to keep me informed as to the status of my order and they failed each time. They lack good customer service and to own their mistakes!

I really can not say enough great things about this store; the inventory, their custom services and their owners/staff. I have been a customer for over 7 years and each time I shop or place a custom order I am always impressed by their inventory, knowledge and their ability to deliver the styles I am seeking at a competitive price and in a timely manner.Thanks to the owners of House of Shades and Lamps for doing such and great job and for not abandoning your customers when the original shop was destroyed and it would have been easier to just walk away than to star over! In a click, pay and ship world, I am so very glad to still have the pleasure of a brick and mortar shop where I can look, touch and feel BEFORE buying :)

Jam packed with lighting!! But if you cant find what you are looking for they can show you a catalog and order for you. Another week isnt going to make any difference... Definitely recommend!

If you want an inexpensive lamp simply to illuminate your hovel (Mr. Average Joe), go to Walmart. If you are looking for a drop dead gorgeous lamp and dont mind paying for quality, shop at House of Shades. I was in there and the staff was quite helpful and friendly. I was only looking for a lamp part and was not purchasing (though I drooled) a crystal chandelier. However, they seem to treat everyone the same, regardless of purchase. I plan on returning as they have unusual and beautiful products and are willing to help find what you need.

House of Shades has wonderful light fixture and shades, I wanted to update my lamps and some light fixtures because they were so old. I thought that I would need to buy new lamps. I found House of Shades and I just simply needed to buy new lamp shades. Wow, what a difference. So, dont throw out the lamps...update them with new shades!

This outfit never even made an attempt to respond to a couple very simple questions I had for them, I couldnt imagine ever expecting a reply if I had a real issue with something they sold me. If a company wont reply to a potential customer, imagine how youd be treated if you actually had a problem with something you purchased. I recommend visiting a big-box lighting retailer and letting this one fade into history. Non existent customer service!

Robert ripped me off after selling me a floor model at a large discount, probably knowing the shades were cracked. The shades are cracked glass so I didnt notice they were cracked. I had asked for replacements in case I broke any and they are yet to arrive a few mths later. I made phone calls and an in person visit. After my in person visit, they asked me to email them pictures which I did and no response. This was about 1 mth ago now.

Horrible! Buyer Beware! Uncooperative owners! I was charged for custom lampshades when ordering lampshades like the one in the store! Way overpriced! Owner changed company to order lampshades since this company had faster service. Twice I went to store and the lampshades presented looked nothing like what I had ordered even after paying custom prices for a lamp that was carried in the store! Six months later I get the correct lampshades!!!! Owners never called to tell me they were at the store!! Unbelievable!

Staff was very patient in helping me select lighting for my newly remodeled condo. Very knowledgeable and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. They are awesome!

Although they have a limited number of lights on display, they have an extremely large selection of high quality lights (not big box junk) available at a very competitive price. Yes you most likely will not walk out of the store with your light but theyll have it for you within a week.
