They go to Silver Queen.to find a special piece of Jewelry for there Daughter for Christmas or Birthday if its over there budget they put it in Layaway paying on it faithfully that is untill.today when they found that special piece and were.told the minimum of Layaway has gone up to $500. There on a fixed income They were always so happy when they found that special piece they knew there Daughter would love. its just sad. It seems most companies today assume everybody has a disposable income. I have to really think about shopping there.I just read your reply Thank You for getting back to me I can without hesitation confirm theyre not now nor have they ever been competitors or disgruntled former employee. .Theyre.just down to earth good people who do the best they.can do to provide for their family. He patiently provided some education on Towle sterling silver place and luncheon sizes for knives and how each manufacturer has their own standard. He did apologize and wants me to follow up regarding my insert for my chest. Im hoping to have the correct insert no later than mid November. Supply issues are seriously impacted by shipping delays worldwide.-------------I purchased a 79 piece set Place Setting with serving pieces. I also purchased an additional serving piece. Upon arrival I noted that I was missing one of the advertised serving pieces. I called SilverQueen and they sent out the missing serving piece that should have been included in my 79 piece set. I have since discovered that my Place Setting I purchased does indeed include the Place Setting fork measuring at 7 3/8; however, the knifes are Luncheon size and measure 8 3/4. I purchased a 79 piece set Place Setting and not a mixed set of Plate and Luncheon sterling silver flatware. The return policy has now lapsed so that is why I am writing this review. I inquired about purchasing a set of 12 goblets. I was told that inventory had to be checked in the warehouse and they would return my call. After waiting for a bit of time and not receiving the callback, I once again called and inquired about goblets. I was told that they had been busy but would get back to me. Eventually they did but at that point I had taken my business elsewhere and purchased goblets. I purchased a storage chest and after waiting over 2 months I called to inquire where my American Storage Chest was and was told that the owner was shipping it out. I received a jewelry box! I called the American Chest Company directly and the owner Mac immediately rectified the situation. I am still waiting for the proper insert to my chest and I was told that I may not receive it until mid October or mid November. It should be noted that it is less expensive to order directly from the American Chest Company. At this point I am unsure that I will purchase any additional items from the SilverQueen. Debi D and Shelly have been pleasant but I felt as a customer that I was brushed off. I felt that they were too busy to assist me as I was not making an in store purchase and that my requests for information and purchases were placed aside. More than once I was told that they were so busy with other customers and they would get back to me. Since I do my purchasing via the internet and over the phone this is unacceptable customer service. The quality of my purchases have been good but after discovering that I now have a mismatched 79 piece set of both Plate forks and Luncheon knifes have left me feeling very disappointed. I understood that the American Storage Chest would take some time to be delivered; however, after waiting two months and to finally receive a jewelry box was beyond what my patience could endure. I realize that the SilverQueen was not responsible for the incorrect chest that was shipped to me but a bit more empathy and follow up would have been more appropriate. All Shelly was concerned about was sending me a return label. To date no one has called from the SilverQueen which was why I took matters in to my own hand and called the American Chest Company directly and spoke with Mac the owner. Having to make several phone calls to receive information about purchasing 12 goblets seems unreasonable. So at this time I would have to say that my overall satisfaction is quite unhappy and dissatisfied as a customer. Pat H. New York

Sold me a ladle (which was a gift to mark a special occasion) and they had mis-identified the pattern. I did not discover the error until I presented the gift. Imagine my shock and embarrassment that this could happen. Especially once I saw that the pattern I was supposed to have gotten has very distinctive features. The ladle pattern I was supposed to receive has a rams head (a very obvious one) on the handle. The pattern I received is very plain. As a Specialist business who identifies patterns, how can you miss that??? It is not my pattern! I was depending on your expertise!Contacted them by a carefully worded and detailed email with photos to let them know about the error and there was no response. Contacted a second time and got a 2 sentence response:We are sorry that happened. Those patterns sure look alike.That was the ENTIRE email. No Dear ___, Not signed. No offer of any correction of the issue. BUYER BEWARE.For me this a NEVER AGAIN situation. Once they have your money -- dont expect any service.EDIT AFTER OWNER RESPONSE:The synopsis of events:1. Once I realized the ladle was not the pattern it was represented to be, I wrote a very polite and non-accusative email to you on ebay. There was no response to this email. See picture: This ladle should have been the pattern with the rams head.2. Because there was no response to my first email, I then wrote a second email asking you to read the first email. I then received a two line response from you without any offer of a solution. (See picture of your response)3. I was upset at the 2 line response that was not even signed. I then called your store and spoke with a female who informed me (very dismissively) that sometimes your kids identify silver patterns (the insinuation that kids list on ebay is from YOU not me). I advised your representative that I would be leaving a review of this situation. She was again dismissive as it was only a small ladle. I was offered to return the ladle, but I advised it had been given to my daughter, so was no longer in my possession. It felt to me like she was saying, it is ONLY $72, why are you complaining?4. I then received the email on ebay offering me to return the ladle which you have referred to in your response. It was too little too late AFTER all of your dismissive poor service. AGAIN, the ladle is with my daughter.5. YOU are making this personal (you have called me crazy in your first response -- see picture below). I have not made this personal. It is BUSINESS.6. From the outset of my query about the pattern error, both you and your representative have sought to trivialize my purchase rather than recognizing me as a paying customer. In your words it is only a little $72 ladle. The purchase for me was important and valuable, and I can now see that to you it did not matter at all except for this review. I am surprised you would let a little ladle (your words) impact your business negatively. If I were in your shoes, I would not take that chance.7. You have now resorted to phoning me repeatedly and trying to bully/guilt/badger me into removing this review. I believe Google will stand behind my experience which is a faithful and honest narrative of my dealings with you.8. I wish I had never purchased this ladle, but I do believe other potential customers should know of this experience and the horrible service I have received every step of the way.Customer service should go like this: A sincere apology for any errors alongside the offer of your BEST solutions from the first knowledge of an error or oversight. The key word here is SINCERE. The idea should be that you take care of the customer in the best way BEFORE an error becomes a complaint or bad review. The value of the item should NEVER come into play. To the customer EVERY experience is valuable no matter the monetary value. BUYER BEWARE- check you are actually getting the pattern you want as they do not verify what they are selling!My mother purchased a small ladle from here as a gift to me. They sold it to her labeled as Grecian. When she gave it to me we quickly realized that they had completely misrepresented what they were selling. It was Labeled as Grecian on the listing on eBay but the piece most definitely NOT Grecian by Whiting. The piece I received was Union by Wendt.I would be less upset if they hadnt been so dismissive of the issue when we raised it to them. It took us 2 messages to even get a response. Then when they did reply their only response was just a single line of they look a lot a like. Well obviously not considering it is a completely different make and pattern.Completely unprofessional.As a silver company that has been in business for a while I would expect that they could identify a pattern. Grecian has a devils face and a rams head, this ladle does not. The only reason my mother purchased this was because it said Grecian.When we finally did get a proper response from them, the lady my mother spoke to was rude and condescending. She simply told us that the kids help list things and seemed completely disinterested that there was in-fact an issue. So when in doubt, they blame the kids. No one checks that the kids have done it right???? No one is checking that the listing is correct???They offered for us to return it but it would end up costing us even MORE money. Obviously not a solution.Be rest assured if you buy from these people you are only getting a kids level of service and absolutely childish adults.EDIT:To clarify we tried to resolve this matter BEFORE posting our reviews. We were only offered to have the item returned AFTER trying to contact this seller twice through eBay (Pictured, since I was accused of being a liar and crazy). I ordered and received 2 Sterling place table/dessert spoons. They were described as being lightly used but like new condition.The bowl of one of the spoons was pitted, and when l went to polish it ( the pits did not come out ) l noticed that there was a piece that was not smooth on the side near the bowl section. (The other spoon was fine without any issues and as described used but in good condition. )I would return one of the spoons, but these were the last two place spoons in stock.My silver set was bought in 1981 and is in perfect condition. The one spoon is in less than perfect condition. I am very dissatisfied with it. They could have done a better job trying to fix the pitting through polishing.I would like to end on a positive note, the items ordered on line did come very quickly within a few days.

Awesome place. Great knowledge, plus you can trust them. The Silver Queen is the only place my 88 year old Mother In Law would trust to leave all her rings with overnight. They cleaned up everything and made adjustments as well. We have even sold them silver coins and received an excellent price. We would recommend Silver Queen to anyone.

Seems they take consideration for their customers, but if your intent is to sell to them they will treat you so rough with their low ball offers you’ll wish you had a lubricant. Offered up a little over 50oz of scrap sterling expecting scrap prices. They offered me $150 😳 at current prices that much silver is valued over $700. I declined the offer. So rules for this place; look don’t touch, buy don’t sale!
