Great place to get parts and a hard time. I love the fact that they are just a couple hours away. I can usually get parts the next day unless Fast Eddie ain’t so fast. You guys need to offer bulk discount, I’ve got six racers to keep outfitted. Keep up the good work and I’ll keep going in debt.

He kept me on the phone until he found a seat I liked that was in stock. He even matched the lower price item that was not in stock. Great store. Great people.

Ordered some parts from them to build some wheels, when they arrived there were two problems, the spoke length was longer then I anticipated and the hubs were missing the cassette spacers and lock ring. A couple phone calls and I was assured that the spoke length was due to using their calculations for the rims Im using which is different from the factory claimed size. Since Ive run into this problem before Im not surprised and will find out if theyre right when the rims show up this week. Unfortunately they didnt have the rims I wanted in the color I wanted but that seems to be due to their only selling what they stock. A policy I like and was annoyed to find the other shop didnt share. It is smart of the company to make their own database of actual measured dimensions and if theyre wrong the spokes are long enough they can be recut a little shorter.As to the spacers and lock ring, Ive received the tracking number and theyve sent the replacements on their way. I appreciate this kind of customer service. Unfortunately no one around me specializes in BMX but its good to know there is a reliable shop I can work with online.

This is our experience, others have had better.We called the store and spoke with (what we feel) a knowledgeable worker about adding a part to our newly custom built bak bike. We do not live close, so its 4 hours for us to drive. We were told they can take care of us, so we went into the shop the following day. Upon arrival, staff was friendly, they ended up connecting us with an employee (who also rides) about options. Unfortunately, after he understand what we needed (the part they said they had in stock, yes we clarified the actual item), he would have to order the part (9.99). Needless to say, extremely frustrated, as we just now wasted 5 hours of the day, to only order the same part (and the others we wanted) from Source BMX online, and they will all be at the house in 2 days. I am giving them a one star, as when we called, we made it clear as to what we needed, and with the amount of time they wasted for us, left us very disappointed. This is our experience, I would recommend if you have a long drive to their shop, to have them send you a picture of the items, before you commit to the commute, or just order it on-line. Update on the owners response, this owner has posted a response that is a complete lie. They claim I used inappropriate language (cursing)? I was the only customer in the shop the entire time, if I could give them a negative rating I would. In short, this establishment is truly a place to stay away from. The fact they are willing to post a public response that is a lie, should tell you something; Very shameful and inappropriate behavior.

I was super stoked to buy a bike from these guys. Unfortunately I paid $30 to have them assemble it, and the chain popped off the very next day causing me to sprain my arm. I contacted them asking for a refund, saying I’d return the bike as is and wouldn’t even ask for the $30 assembly back, just what I paid for the bike.They told me “no refunds” and that they would have a look at the bike. I would understand if it had been a few weeks later, but the very next day and STILL no refunds? I work in an office and couldn’t even use a stapler for 2 weeks, let alone ride a bike, why would I want to keep it? Them taking another look at it wouldn’t do much for my peace of mind when hopping on that bike again.

These guys went above and beyond to find a part for my bike. They were extremely personal and prompt on delivery. Made me feel like a local bike shop.

We went in looking for a number of parts to complete a race bike build with a tight budget. Bill was beyond patient and super helpful with our numerous questions and requests. We could not have asked for a better salesperson.

Was looking for a BMX race bike. Wanted to go with a local shop, but they didnt have what I wanted in stock.After asking a guy at the local track about about his two new bikes and he said he bought them from JR bicycles and had a great experience.I recognized the name from swag handed out to my son at the track.Checked the site, emailed with questions on which bike I should go with, then called to ask more questions bc I decided to up my budget. Kirk was very helpful via email and on the phone and really helped me make up my mind.Just received the bike today, noticed one spoke is silver on each wheel and the rest are black so I called to get the scoop. Talked to a helpful person instantly who kindly told me that is how all the GT Speed Series bikes are, by design.Put it together, no problems. Love the bike so far.That was 3 positive contacts for the sale of one bike, 5 stars!

Before the holidays can be rough but as a new visitor, customer service and sales were horrible. I was told on the phone there was no SE bikes available but went in and found 2. Most of the people there were confused on if they were even in the inventory or someone had already purchased them along with how much they were priced, it took 15 minutes to find the right person for that answer. I eventually purchased the bike that day and was told it would be built by Monday. I call Monday afternoon and they tell me it will be built by the end of the day, I then receive a email for my order to pick up only to find out the bike wasn’t even started and it was an order of swag and hats that I already purchased with them. After wasting a trip I picked up my bike the following day and my handlebars are crooked, my handle bars are missing paint and the guy hands me the tools after I paid them to put the bike together not that it’s a big deal but as a new customer you not only lost me as a buyer for two SE bikes on the floor but I’m taking my business elsewhere.

I am a 43yr old man getting my 3yr old son and myself into the BMX Sport as the Lord and I defeat an incurable cancer, that we have been in battle with since 2017! J&R Bicycles went above and beyond in customer service today for me! I recently bought a stand up walker (not from their store, obviously) that I was having trouble with one of the hand brakes on. The brake was rubbing against the wheel and would not release. The only thing I could think of to do was to find a bike repair place. I had never been to J&R before but Don was out-of-this-world awesome! When I called asking if they could help, Don said absolutely and to come see him. When I arrived Don looked at it immediately and had it fixed within minutes, no charge. Don, thanks for being a good human! I really appreciate it!! I spent some time talking with him about bikes afterward and he was a wealth of knowledge. Even though their shop doesnt carry the kind of bike I need, he was very helpful in suggestions and even referred me to another bike company in the area. Thank you!

Shopped with J&R a good bit over the last 4-5 years. No complaints. Shipments always fast. Cant put my finger on it but it seems they are losing their edge. Hope they remain in the game for the Long haul. It is great to have a high volume retailer of BMX race bikes and parts. We recently visited the store while in Florida. Much smaller than I anticipated with very few race bikes on display.

While living in Poland I have decided to get back into BMX. I remembered J&R from my days of racing. I ordered a DK Professional-X. Could not be happier with the packing. There was no response to my request on a status update but I understand how everything is lagging with COVID. Only thing I would suggest is using DHL for any international shipment (if you have many) because UPS is incredibly hard to work with overseas. Thank you for providing a great product, and the quick contact on the one item that was over sold when I placed my order. I will likely be ordering my son a bike shortly!

Nice place but if u get a bike tube and you find out it’s the wrong one once you install the bike tube. I went back the wouldn’t exchange it for the right one or give me my money back for it after u install it. And it was less then a hour after buying the tube.

I basically went in with an idea of what I needed. Told Gary what I thought. He basically went with my idea of a hybrid BMX/Bigger bike and sold me a 22” DK Vega. I could not be more pleased with the purchase. It was $200 over my budget but the value is there. Really glad I didn’t cheap out on this thing. Thanks Gary and J and R!

My order with three day shipping arrived in five days, the order had a discrepancy that did not match what I ordered. I contacted the Kirk and was told that they would fix the issue and send out a new part that day. Ten days later I still have not received the part. I have contacted Kirk again with no reply. Next time I will shop elsewhere.

If youre buying a bike, I highly recommend you allow them to assemble it for you as there will be tweaks and adjustments that an average Rider may not know to make, as I learned on my purchase. Best place to get parts for your bike and to get bikes. Service is great and you feel very comfortable there. Where I got my first BMX bike.

We bought wheels and hubs from them ($700) the wheels came in with the wrong color nipples although it shows the right color on the invoice, also the hubs dont fit out bike so we sent the wheels back (I paid for shipping both ways) they replaced the nipples but rather than get the right hubs they sent adapters to use. After waiting on the wheels and adapters to return to me I go to install the wheels tamd the adapters do not fit the wheels either. Long story short I ordered them in mid June, its now mid July 10 days from worlds and I still do not have the $700 set of wheels on my bike due to the ignorance of J and R Cycles. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

Just left this bike shop location. We drove over thirty minutes to visit and look at some bikes during their normal business hours and arrived at 4pm on a Tuesday to see a closed sign. My male friend I was with went around the back of the store to see if anyone was inside after being ignored by the staff at the front door. He asked nicely if he could look around and explained that we drove over thirty minutes to check the place out. The staff member, Tony, was extremely rude and did not want him looking around and would not allow him to test ride a couple of bikes he was interested in... If I could give zero stars I would, this was a terrible example of customer service and this one rude employee definitely ruined our experience. Needless to say they lost a customer and our business... I didn’t think to call ahead during normal business hours... The owner is probably in the business of selling bikes, unfortunately his unhappy and rude employee Tony is not on the same page.

The absolute worst company I have ever dealt with. The last four orders I have placed I had problems with.I have spent over $2000.00 with this company in the last month and every time I order I think well surly no problems this time and there is. My last order I called and asked if I placed and order wold it ship out today so I would get it in time for my sons birthday and they said yes, well that was one of many lies I have been told over the phone by this company. I have never gave a bad review before but I just cant believe how this company operates.
