Back in the area and decided to explore the city to see how much it had changed in the past 10 years. Coming from Seattle area, Starbucks is not a novelty to me and was not in the mood to wait in the outrageous line.I drove pass this coffee shop and decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did!Adorable, cozy, and warm welcoming place! The menu has plenty of options to choose from and it’s priced reasonable. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was scrumptious. Affogato is AMAZING.Recommend this place 100%

Fun coffee shop offering light breakfast options, cold sandwiches, panini, pastries, and teas. They have different specials on each day of the week, starting at certain times each different day. I got the mocha frappe, it was well prepared and was tasty. Reccommend this pace to anyone needing to catch up on homework or even do some work on the laptop. Nice place to slow down and enjoy.

Great!!! Coffee here is awesome. I usually dont rate coffee shops, but this one deserves one. The atmosphere and employees were very pleasant. The actual coffee was even better. I travel often and love coffee. Once I found this place, I went back each day I was in Laredo. I had the americano, and it was excellent. If you like coffee and are in the area, this is the place to go!

This is a good place to come have a good avocado panini and cappuccino while you read or are working from laptop.

Highest quality sourced coffee in Laredo (as of today September 2019). Top tier equipment and seemingly decent training. Food menu doesnt offer substantial vegan/healthy options. Nice upstairs seating/atmosphere (although the beach theme is a little odd).

Awesome atmosphere! Great little hangout for healthier options than most fast food. Great live music as well as the employees playlists. Ive been visiting very often, and I would definitely recommend visiting!

Great service and drinks. Strongly recommend their iced cold brew coffee. Ive also had the pleasure of trying their breakfast which is served anytime and soups and sandwiches, which are delicious.It would be great if they stayed open just a little longer, check times before coming because you might find they are closed especially during the week.

This place was cute, but underwhelming. It took forever to get our drinks and breakfast. There were four of us and it took about an hour between when we ordered and when the last item was ready, and about a half hour between the first drink and the last drink being ready for pickup.I got the breakfast sandwich, which was advertised as a panini, but was actually a croissant breakfast sandwich. It was fine, but the eggs were slightly over cooked. I also got a hot chocolate, which came out 15 minutes after my sandwich and a full hour after we ordered. I was at the point I was just going to cancel my drink because I was sick of waiting when the drink was delivered. The hot chocolate was lukewarm and didn’t have much flavor. I am guessing it was forgotten about, either made and not delivered or made at the last minute and not made correctly.Overall, the meal left a lot to be desired and I will not be going back.

I went to this place for breakfast with my husband to try it out as I read good reviews. I am not a coffee drinker and neither is my husband. We went for the breakfast. The time we went there was hardly any people and we ordered. I ordered eggs and pancakes with fruit. My husband the breakfast sandwich. We waited a very long time and once we received our breakfast our plates, they did not look that great. First my food was not hot or warm it was almost cold and my husbands cheddar cheese in the sandwich looked dry like it had been sitting there. My eggs looked over cooked and were dry and not hot. I picked at my food at best. It was not worth the long wait. The place looks nice as far as ambience and maybe the coffee is good according to reviews. But their breakfast is not. I hope eatablishment improves the food as I saw the pictures and it looked good until I tried the food.

Of the three employees present, all three were rude. No one showed any basic courtesy to its clientele. Don’t dare bring your children as they will look at you as if your some extraterrestrial. The business comes off as a place to lounge and have a good cup of Joe but it’s the contrary. Coffee options are limited and not worth the business. Best go off the down the street and enjoy Starbucks.

Excellent customer service. Great atmosphere peaceful and quiet. Preferred by college and university students for studying and research because of their free WiFi and peaceful atmosphere.

Relaxing environment, great service, and delicious coffee. I live out of state now and havent been to Laredo in so long, so its great to see my hometown growing and adapting into this new lifestyle of embracing great coffee shops. Great overall experience!

Good coffee shop with great scenery, went to study in the upstairs loft it was a bit noisy. Coffee is good. Pastries are good overall its a nice change of pace from Starbucks but truth be told I like starbucks coffee better.

Always good to stop by Flip Flop and enjoy the rush of people coming in and testing the staff’s efficiency. Never fails they are kind and ready to serve regular and new customers all day long. Happy vibes from great coffee and food!

Bad customer service. This is my first time at Flip Flops. I was excited to come since my cousin recommended, and I live in San Antonio. Then first thing I saw was many empty dirty tables. I informed the employee that this was my first time here and asked for recommendations. She was unable to give me any descriptions regarding the meat and the taste. Then, I asked for a banana for my child, and the employee told me that they couldnt sale me a banana because they were low on bananas and the owner does not like going to HEB to buy more food - its in inconvenience for the owner to go HEB. Also, the employee was too busy having a conversation with 2 gentlemen at bar area rather helping customers. BTW, I do not recommend the tuna panini.

Great Place! The atmosphere is very relaxing. Ownership is top notch and the staff are very helpful. They had live acoustic music on the second deck when I went.

This coffee shop definitely has a relaxed and chill vibe, very different for Laredo which is always great! One flaw is the service needs work, its somewhat slow and some orders were inaccurate. Overall, its a good place to visit if you have time on your hands, other than that I love the idea behind this shop!

The breakfast sandwiches are large and tasty. The drip coffee is hot but very strong. For lunch Id recommend the Pavocado, but skip the soup.

Better than your average national chain of coffee, but not by much. dislike the fact they make you carry some of your drinks to your own table (and worse when they over fill the cup, its almost as if they do it for amusement to see you fail on your way to your table). I did enjoy their americano and drip coffee, but I have experienced same quality of coffee from a churro bakery locally. their food is good but again nothing to write home about. hope they can get it together and polish out their quirks because they do have the potential to be awesome.

Got there about two, it was not packed. I will be bringing family next time. Feeling here is similar to a place in Columbus I liked.

Food is great. Enviroment is nice. Service needs improvement. Food is ordered then you wait for order which takes a very LONG time. Even for just a coffee, expect to wait awhile. When order is ready server screams your name out and you need to go pick up food at counter. Theres a huge trash can which you need to lift lid to throw away trash. Would recommend change to swing top or something which would require us not to touch lid. Lid was really dirty.

Love this place, the coffee is to die for and the staff is really friendly and pleasant...also the second floors coziness is exactly what I need after a long day at work.

Got to visit again and I must say it was a complete 180 from the first time. Fast and efficient service. I like the upstairs area too. It’s calm and out of the way of others.

Great food, 30 minute wait at 11:00 a.m. for a to-go order consisting of two avocado toasts with egg and a panini (no orders ahead of mine). Friendly staff. It was my first visit.

Please change your order of service. When someone orders coffee and food, usually the drink will come out right away. I had to wait on whatever food and drinks were ahead of my food and drink order. A barista should be manning the machine at all times or at the very least most of the time. There were 12 people total and my wait for coffee and food was about 45 mins...REPY TO OWNERS RESPONSE: I didnt feel inconvenienced, I was surprised at how the shop runs drinks vs. food. I didnt want to skip line in front of anyone, I wanted my coffee out asap, before my food. Thats what a coffee shop does and restaurants; the beverage comes out first. It was not a busy time, it was a weekday at 10am. A coffee shop should be set up to put out any coffee drink in under 5 minutes. You need a dedicated barista, not a floater who runs the register, drinks and food all at once. Its great tasting coffee, just not sure its worth the wait.

Coffee was very good as well as the service however we tried to come back for a second visit and was not open till late Sunday and 8 on the weekdays for us that have to be at work early or have kids at school you are pushing business to other coffeehouses.

An intriguing and modern atmosphere.When it comes to interior design, I give the café 5 stars! Modern brick walls, tall ceilings, an second overlooking level to chill, and plenty of natural light was enjoyed!Their choice of 80s rock music was not what I would personally chose for a café. However some chill progressive jazz would better suit the café.Their coffee selections are decent. however the chocolate flip frappe i tried was overly sweet. Offering 3 types of paninis, they were quite bland, expensive, and took long to make.Overall I had an OK experience. I would recommend it, but to order a hot coffee. I would give the suggestion of improving their paninis, and frappes, and reconsidering their music.
