A hidden gem for sure! Best book store I have see in years! I was amazed at the selection of new and used books plus gifts and games. I went back twice while in Laramie. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely worth the stop!

Dreamiest bookstore & coolest bookworm accessories. Different themed rooms with a cozy place to sit and take it all in. Helpful staff & so many books with notes in them with personal recommendations. I also love that it’s connected to the second hand bookstore- a perfect partnership. We were just passing by on a road trip & this find was beautiful.

Excellent use of old space complete with a battery of antique ceiling fans and transoms over the doors. A bookstore made of countless nooks, with lots of seating as well. Its a climb up the stairs to get to, but well worth it. Formerly known as Personally Recommended Books.

Great selection, great staff who were very helpful. Also had the bonus of having the Night Heron used bookstore connected to it, so I was able to check out two shops at once!

I was very pleased to spend some time in this treasure. I dont think you find a lot of stores like this anymore. It is rare that you find a place where they actually encourage you to sit down and relax. THe atmosphere was relaxing. I live at 350 ft and at 7220 feet I did have to take a pause at the top of the stairs ;-)

Great selection of books in an adorable space!

I had never been into Second Story Books before and it definitely surprised me! A variety of wonderful books with a wide selection. If you are buying all of your books off Amazon STAHP :) this local book shop gives you the perfect opportunity to support locals in Laramie. I will be back.

They do an excellent job being the only standard bookstore in Laramie. Good selection and they will even wrap your purchases after you buy them.

What an amazing bookstore! Its the last of a dying breed. Robin was extremely kind and friendly and just as excited as we were. Theyve got a great selection of books. An absolutely excellent place to get lost turning pages. It will be one of your favorite bookstores for sure. Youve got to come support them!

Just wonder how I was missing this gem of a place despite living in the town for more than five years. The store has a decent collection/ selection of books in various genres. It is run by a very polite and helpful lady. She is amazing. A great place to be for book-lovers. Strongly recommend and will return for sure.

Simple tiny storefront with staircase leads to an amazing bookstore...and a historic, interesting space for a store. Many rooms, comfortable chairs, great selection. Excellent!

This bookstore is absolutely incredible. The building was once a brothel, and the small rooms off the the main room are impeccably organised. There is a fantastic childrens section and great gifts in addition to their well curated main collection. The staff is always helpful and kind! You will not regret a visit!

This is a small town bookstore. We were looking for a Bible for a gift. All they had were 2 KJV paperback. Not gift quality.
