John is the most knowledgeable mechanic I have ever known- especially for his age. . He is somewhat unconventional in his ways but has integrity, is honest and his hourly rate is the best in town. Built a GY6 Ruckus for me that was too fast.

Horrible service, I do not recommend this place at all. The owner had my go cart for almost 4 months, I paid hundreds of dollars to have it fixed. I finally got the go cart back for it to not work yet again. I called the owner who told me the business was closed but I reminded him the warranty he promised me. I brought the go cart back and he had it for another 3 months and never fixed it. Also it sat outside the entire time and the owner never answers his phone. If anyone is wondering, the business is closed (no shocker there). Also, Im not the only one waiting on John to fix stuff and going through the same thing.

A great place to get your quad fixed but you have to be patient because they are quite busy

Very unprofessional. Told me he would pick up my moped to fix it. Would not contact me back for weeks until I left three messages for him just to tell me he wouldn’t fix it anymore. Very rude speaking to customers. You’re better off taking your vehicle elsewhere!

Unprofessional. I dropped off a UTV - it was supposed to be fixed within 2 weeks and 3 months later, he hasnt touched it to work on it. I called multiple times and got false dates of completion. Picking it up after it has sat outside for 3 months not fixed. Im not impressed. A professional would be able to turn down work if they were too busy, not waste 3 months of someones time! If zero was an option, thats what I would give.

Our son owns a scooter at MSU and has had everything from carborator to gear repair work completed by John at Lucky 7. We have found John to be reliabe, affordable and trustworthy. Once we left the scooter in front of a classroom building and gave John its location and he drove to the scooter, loaded it and brought it to his shop without hesitation. It is nice having a scooter repair shop that will pick up and deliver for a reasonable fee. In a handful of repairs we found John to care about the safety of our son while driving the scooter. We feel John cares about making sure it is running safely or he will come back and make it right or dig deeper to find the cause and get it repaired. We recommend him to anyone needing repair work at his shop.

John helped me diagnose my ATV no-starting problem over the phone. Called him after Full Throttle Motorsports told me that a no-start diagnostic by itself would cost $200 just to tell me what was wrong. I left John a message and when he called back he walked me through how to test the starter and relay. I uninstalled and tested both components and after reinstalling them, the ATV started right up, so it must have just been a bad connection somewhere. Thanks a lot John.
