Miguel actually saved me money by telling me not to waste money repairing my car. He said it drives fine & if I spend any money, just to get another car. My car is a 2004 & has issue with reverse . So, he just said instead of spending all that money rebuilding a transmission, just to buy another car. Lol, he said just dont use reverse. True that 😃.In the future, with my newer car I will eventually have to get, Miguel will always get my business no matter what. I cant wait !!! Hes the only shop I will ever go to, even if I move away from the AV, I will still come here.

They wanted to charge me almost $300.00 to do a transmission service on my 1997 Ford truck rear wheel dr. Being knowledgeable on price’s I would of paid $200.00 that’s a 1 hour work & fluid filter. job. Nothing in the way just some bolts. I had it done elsewhere less then a hour. Save $85.00.

HONEST! HONEST! HONEST!!! took my truck to Mike to look at my transfer case after another mechanic said it needed to be replaced. After Mike looked at the truck found out nothing was wrong with transfer case just a simple fix would do the job. After the other mechanic quoted me $950 Mike was honest enough to tell me that that wasnt the issue. Thank you to Mike and his guys and from now on this will be the only place I ever go to take my cars!!!

Brought it to Affordable Transmission, they diagnosed the issue and had it back to me running like new. Truck hasnt had any issues and running great. I had a transmission problem went to Affordable Transmission to get it fix. The owner was very helpful, not only he fixed my transmission, he also replaced my motor mounts and axles he gave me a reasonable price. Do the math for a Honda Pilot 041. Transmission2. Torque converter3. Motor mounts4. Both front axles5. ShaftLet just say I spend under 5,000He did not tried at all to up sale anything I asked him to do four out of five. I brought my Pilot on Monday and it got fix within 3 days. Now thats what I call excellent service with out no problems. Buck the owner even asked me to come in and see how bad my transmission was. My dad recommended me to Mike because he said he was honest and wouldnt try to rip me off. I took my 4 year old car there and he said to leave it with him and he would call me and tell me what was wrong with the car. A few hours later he called and told me my transmission was faulty. Instead of trying to get money out of me he told me it should be under warranty and sent me to the dealership. There was no charge to me. I will tell everyone I know to go to this shop .Thanks to Mike I got a new transmission without any hassle. I know my family has had only good results from this shop.

My car was not go in reverse. A local mechanic told me that it was the transmission and since he didnt worked with transmissions advised me to take it to an expert. It was devastating, Im still making payments in the darn vehicle. And, I am new in Lancaster CA; finding someone in a place you dont know, is hard. So I searched online and looked at reviews. Affordable Transmission was the only one that had real reviews. Not the phony ones that are from a mistery person that reviews multiple shops of the same company. If you know what I mean ;-)I still was skeptical, because I have been lied and tricked so many times. Mr. Mike was very clear and made me feel a little better.They found the problem within a day, and helped me.k The good thing was that it was not a big issue. So Im glad that they didnt say that it was something worst to get more money out of me. The part took a few days to arrive. But as soon as they got it, they worked on my car and I was out and rolling. I cant be more happier.Thank you guys, youre awesome.

***WARNING***This review has now had to be carefully read and edited after Ive been threatened with a defamation of character lawsuit. Which in my opinion of the situation very logically explains the great rating of this shop.Always were a bit pricey, but the work was usually good. This time I bring it in with a misfire, they ask me to authorize a compression test for just over $150. The misfire was a problem I knew the cause of as Id fixed it with a stop gap solution a year ago. After denying their test, afraid that it would only be the first in many, and asking them just to replace the spark plugs and valve cover gasket. They refused to do the work unless I authorized their test. At that point, the gentleman, I can only assume is owner or manager of the shop, as hes the same one threatening me with legal action to take down my review, begins telling me in a very rude manor about how hes a master mechanic, he went to school for this, making me feel very talked down at. Then repeating how the test NEEDED to be done, this felt like intimidation. Finally, when I wouldnt cave, they denied me service, and asked I come take my car. While I wasnt charged for this, I was still treated very poorly, and rudely. Shouldnt a service like this be able to complete simple mechanical work at the request of the customer? Instead they aggressively push a test upon me that I was NOT treated well at all for denying. Ive given this shop my business, and many references in the past. Now they have lost mine, and all my friends business.

I went to an auto shop on ave L and the owner told me I needed a new transmission. The price was over what the car was worth. After a couple weeks I wanted to get a second opinion and took the car too affordable transmission.......They performed some work on a different car I owned and did a great job and the price was right. Koz was able to diagnose the problem and repair it at very reasonable price. ( turned out only being a broken wire in the wiring harness) The older man that also works there, wanted to charge me a higher price for Koz’s work. If you need any transmission work or anything else for your car for that matter, I Highly recommend seeing Koz at Affordable Transmission.

I drive a 2004 Ford f250 and was having a wierd problem where my transmission was slipping and the reverse lamp relay under the dash was wildly clicking. I have been dealing with that issue since Jan 2019...I took my truck to three shops, the first shop in February and they told me that it was a bad transmission he could smell the oil was burnt blah blah blah (but Tranny was just replaced so I didnt believe that). So then in March I took it to another shop... A nation wide company that are transmission-honk-honk-experts and it sat for 2 and a half month (was broken into and radio and other stuff was stolen while sitting... Oh and they lost my key... More but dont have enough space to write all that). So I took it to another shop in May and they replaced a part... Didnt solve the issue... And it sat for 2 months there. I called Affordable transmission in mid July and spoke to Miguel, told him the issue and he told me they would have it done in 2 weeks... Well he was wrong... More like 8 days. They fixed it and they are professionals. I cant thank them enough. They didnt try to give me any bs.. They told me it was a minor issue and boom!

Owner is very nice and understanding, I had crashed my car and was told it would cost $2,500 to fix it at the dealership. I towed my car hereand spoke to the owner and told him my financial situation and he told me he would get me the best deal he could and he did it was $1,500 cheaper. Great place

I was driving my 2012 Ford Focus SE on the 14 fwy when suddenly my transmission overheated and could not drive it any longer.I contacted my dealer (Antelope Valley Ford) and their service guy told me to take it in.for two weeks Ford could not find the problem.Finally Ford tells me that my TCM needs to be replaced and reprogrammed.after towing the car back in forth to the dealer my car went from bad to worst.Horrible experience at The Ford Dealer,Very Very bad customer Service. THEN I FOUND (AFFORDABLE TRANSMISSION) online.and man these guys are great.I spoke to Miguel very nice and very knowledgeable person.He explained what the problem was and he promised me hell get me back on the road.It took two days to fix my car. 2016 My car broke down during rush hour on 14 freeway. I had to get my car towed and chose this shop because I lived nearby. The manager went out of his way to help me, and drove me to get a rental car. !!!!!! He couldnt even give me a quote for a transmission for my car! Or even a price range! Stay away. He obviously doesnt know what he is doing. Most auto mechanics can say approximately what repair will cost if it is for a specific repair, such as a transmission. Stay away.

I own a 2000 Chevy 1500 Silverado that has over 250,000 miles on it. Last week the third gear in the automatic transmission went out. I called Mike at Affordable Transmission and they had me bring the truck in. They rebuilt the tranny and had it back to me within 4 days. Took my tundra into the dealer after feeling the trans slip and was told it was FUBAR- 5,000 to replace it. Drove it over here and they actually looked into it and found nothing more needed to be done than changing the fluid- no BS, no upsell crap, just great honest customer service. Hope I never need to see them again, but Ill have any vehicle towed here before I take it somewhere else. Theres a reason theyve got all 5 star reviews.

Went here. Cause I wondering about a rebuild for my transmission and how much it would cost. Mike told me. Why I wanted a rebuild. That he should check my car first. Before any rebulid. So I took the car to him. He checked the car for codes and test drove the car.Found it had two codes and the transmission was differelty shot. After he told me the price of a rebulid. I decline. But thank him for checking my car for free.Was better to make sure my transmission was out for sure from a Experience mechanic before assuming something. Thanks mike.
