I worked with Tim Z. recently to upgrade my snowboard setup. He is extremely knowledgeable, and you can tell by the way he understands board technology that he really knows what hes talking about. I told him the conditions I generally ride in and he provided several options in several different price points. I went home and did a little bit of research myself and found that what he had recommended was really the best choice for the type of writing I do. Once I went back he helped pick out some good compatible bindings and then set everything up for me. I was very satisfied with the whole experience and will 100% go back to this location and work with Tim again next time I need new equipment. If you are a beginner, novice, or Olympic level snowboarder I think that you will have a great experience and really appreciate what Tim can do for you.

Received exceptional help from Keagan. Son just moved to CO and was looking for advice and info on new snowboard equipment and boots. Keagan provided us a wealth of information on boards, bindings and boots. Left with a new pair of boots. We also used Christy’s for gear rental several years ago when visiting Colorado and were very happy with their service. Will definitely return when we come back for spring skiing.

Fantastic rental service! Austin got me fitted out with the right boots and skiis and it was perfect. Theyre super friendly and have great ski rental prices. Much cheaper than the resorts, plus their rentals include an overnight, so of you want to grab them the day before and bring them back on the way home, youre good to go!As of 1/19/20, Google Maps directions bring you to the rear service entrance. Go further past Outback Steakhouse and up to the front side of the shopping center. 👍 Youre welcome!

I bought some snowboard boots for my wife online and walked into the store to return them. Returning online shopping into a store was very helpful. However, this post is to specifically thank Connor at the Denver West store. He was incredibly knowledgeable about how each brand would fit an individual foot after an introspective gaze at foot width and ankle size. He knew that the previous boot brand I had was the best fit for me and was honest that they did not have that boot in my size instead of just trying to sell me any boot. When it was my wifes turn he picked a boot that fit her so perfectly that she didnt know a boot could fit so exact. If you are in need of a snowboard boot then I cant recommend Connor enough to find the absolute best fit you can possibly have.

The store is conveniently located between Denver airport and Vail, a short hop off I-70. The prices for ski rentals are way lower than what youll pay in Vail or Beaver Creek, and they have specials if you reserve via the web a day in advance. Friendly staff, it took about 30-45 minutes to fit a family of four, and be out of the door. This is the second time we rent here, and had a consistent positive experience.

My favorite Christy’s location. Kathy is always extremely friendly and super helpful. She even bantered with me about my nonsense and was so fun.Keagan and Tim were awesome helping me adjust my bindings! Super knowledgeable and friendly.Tim gets the cake though- every time I come in there, he is always spot on. Whether that be with proper equipment suggestions/fitting or his attitude, always being extremely attentive, friendly, and upbeat. I have probably asked him over 100 snowboard questions, and he never even hesitates and gives me THE BEST advice. The snowboard guru!!!! Seriously. Service here is the best youll find anywhere. Had an issue with a ski tune and they truly went above and beyond to make it right. Also did a great job helping me get my boots fitted, pick poles, a helmet, everything.

My wife and I have rented skis for our kids with the Loveland ski package from Christy Sports for years and the rental guys were always great to work with, and the price was always great.This year I bought boots bindings and a snowboard for my son at Christy. We had gone to 3 other stores to look at the various snowboards available in the market.Unbelievably, at 3 other stores we were ignored by staff?!?When we arrived at Christy, the snowboard rep, Tim Z. was working with another customer, but immediately said he would be with us momentarily and invited us to look around at the snowboards. As soon as he had taken care of their needs, he helped us. He was incredibly knowledgeable, gave us lots of options, explanation of product technologies, and in the end, fitted my son correctly and fit our budget.If you have a family involved, or getting involved in winter sports, and value knowledgeable staff and great service, Christy Sports in Lakewood is the place to go. I was very impressed with my service at this Christy Sports. Luke fit me for downhill boots, and he was knowledgeable, friendly, and each boot he brought out for me worked better than the previous. He not only helped me find boots that I was happy with, but also helped fine-tune these boots by adding some extra padding at the heels so that my narrow ankles wouldnt slip up in the back.

We lost our home and all ski gear in the East Troublesome fire and wanted to shop locally to replace as much as possible. Christy Sports had a great selection of gear for our kids and were extremely helpful getting us outfitted for this season. On top of that, they gave us an awesome discount across the board because of our situation, including a free binding adjustment. We went to Christy Sports on Saturday (along with many other people getting ready for the upcoming season), and were so impressed with the staff and service. Despite being busy, Ted took nearly 40 minutes to fit my daughters ski boots and custom-shape the insoles. He was thorough, listened to our concerns, and helped us get all of the gear we needed. Cathy (perhaps the store manager) was greeting customers, and she stopped by a few times to be sure we were getting what we were looking for. This is the reason we go to small, local businesses. My girlfriend rented some ski boots that literally cut off her circulation at Breckenridge but didnt take into account that she would be wearing ski socks. she spent about 30 grueling minutes trying to fit her poor boots on and she was miserable the entire day with these rentals and was not able to ski after a couple of hours so I suggest you get a new boot fitter as Christies will have you hurting the entire day

I stopped by Christys on my way home from A Basin because my dogs were barking and I knew I couldnt do another season in the snowboard boots I had which were taped with foam and rubber to help ease the pain. I have a high arch, wide forefoot, and very narrow ankle which makes it difficult to find a good fitting boot. When Connor measured me he mentioned all those things about my feet which made me confident I was in the right place. Connor was super knowledgable about the boots he had at his disposal that would be best for my feet. He described and demonstrated why a certain brand or boot would be good/bad for my feet which I found helpful to learn and preferred over just being given a bunch of boots to try. We landed on a couple of pairs of boots and he talked me through the tech in each of them. I had kind of given up on my feet being comfortable but was blown away with how great the fit was on the boots Conor suggested. He also fitted me for a heat molded footbed and got on the floor to apply pressure to my high arch to ensure the best fit and then sanded the pieces down in the back of the store so I wouldnt feel any of the imperfections in the cork. Im yet to ride in them but Conor said to stop back with any issues and he would work on them until they are perfect. All in all a great experience and I cant recommend Connor highly enough if you are in need of some new snowboard boots.

We were looking for comfy and durable patio furniture that would stand up to the Colorado weather extremes. We found what we liked at Christy Sports near the Colorado Mills Mall. Cathy was our super chill and informative sales person. She was the best of all sales people: unobtrusive. Our patio set was delivered by Sam and Matt. These guys were totally nice and super cool. They unwrapped, set up and took away the packaging. Thanks, guys!

Tim Z was incredibly helpful in getting me into a nice pair of snowboarding boots that actually fit my feet! I have now used them once and am not having any of the foot pain I used to have with previous boots. He was able to measure my feet and then suggest brands to look into based on my foot size and shape, and then suggested a couple models within those brands. I ended up buying a couple pairs of boots and returned one of them, and Tim was patient and helpful through the whole process. Tim knows his stuff! Will send friends his way when I hear they are upgrading. We also got talking about boards and bindings and I will likely return for those sometime soon.

We booked in advance online to get a discount, because you only have to reserve 24hrs in advance to take advantage of the deal. We wanted to try a location in Denver, because renting in the ski village would’ve been at least ~$17/day more per person.Excellent service, I think the gentleman who assisted us was named Charlie. He got us all squared away with our equipment pretty quickly. We came in on a Tuesday afternoon and there was no wait at all. I was very pleased with my equipment, as the ski boots seemed nearly brand new and hardly worn. They felt great during our 5 days of skiing.We will definitely return to this location. It’s actually conveniently located near a Whole Foods and Target. We grabbed our gear and groceries, and headed up the mountain! Thanks Christy Sports Lakewood!!

Great job boot fitting!! Conner W at the Lakewood Christys spent at least 2 hours working with on a boot fitting, which is a real challenge for me. He built a great custom liner that finally ended up being the best fit in snowboard boots Ive ever had, at a fraction of the cost of the places specializing in such things. Really above and beyond - well done!

My old outdoor table was missing an umbrella guide. Scott Steward, fro Christy sports said he would try to find one for me. Even though they dont sell that table, Scott found two that will work for me. Great service after they already had the sale on the umbrella, and didnt have to do this.

I shopped at this location religiously for about 6 months. Being new to Colorado, I had to outfit my entire family with ski gear, and I bought skis, boots, polls, helmets, gloves, jackets, pants, socks, the works from them. They were always friendly, and I really enjoyed going there. I frequently have folks come in from out of town to ski with me, and I always sent them to this location to rent gear. Well, one of my friends rented skis, and they had unusually curved tips. When I was backing out of my garage with them on my ski rack, the tip hit the top of the garage, and the ski broke. I took them back, knowing that I would have to pay for them. What I didnt expect, was to have to pay nearly $200. When I discussed it with the manager, she explained that the skis cost her $175, so she was hardly making any money on it. They were old skis, used for at least one full season, maybe two. They were in awful shape. And they were super-cheap skis to begin with. Yet she charged me MORE than she originally paid. She made a profit off of renting them for a season (at least), plus I paid more than she did for the skis. And she refused to let me keep the skis, claiming it was a liability for her to do so. If she had charged me even $100, I would have paid it without thinking about it. But she didnt. She overcharged me, and then tried to make excuses for why she was doing it. I went from loving this store to being so upset with them that I dont even want to set foot in the store anymore. I have to go back one more time to return my kids season rentals, and then Im done. She knew I was a good customer, that I literally spent thousands of dollars at her store, yet she wanted to rip me off over a pair of old, worthless skis. I gave the store 2 stars because they do have a knowledgeable and friendly staff, and they should get credit for that. But knowing that they pull stunts like this will keep me from ever shopping there again.

I recently purchased some Ride Tridents at your shop. My experience was outstanding. Christian has a wealth of knowledge and was patient in explaining the pros/cons of each boot for my riding style. He had the right size boot moved cross-town to save me he drive and it is perfect! That is at least in the living room. I had an interaction here about a month ago that was quite disappointing. I was price matching a pair of bindings and I have never felt more unwelcome in trying to protect my interests. My understanding of quality customer service is that the employee is looking out for the best interest of the customer. If you are not providing the best price, provide better service to make up for it. Sometimes that means sending business elsewhere because you know that customer will be more satisfied.The older lady that checked me out added a mounting price of $60 without asking me. I inquired where the $60 came from and explained that $60 is a high price for a mount, declining this service. She then said, fine but Im charging you $285 for the binding instead of the $279 which was the price I found online. Her attitude was very negative and made me feel uncomfortable, but i did not want to fight over $6 so I walked out.It isnt that Im upset over $6. I just dont understand why she would be so aggressive and lack understanding that I am seeking the best deal for me. Is that unreasonable?

Needed skis and boots for my teenage son. Cody worked with us to find performance boots at a reasonable price. He was very attentive to my son. A perk was listening to some of Cody’s great travel stories while we waited. Additionally, we were able to rent skis for the season since what will work this season won’t necessarily work next season for this growing man-boy. Great team here.

Super quick and easy rentals and returns process. Booked on-line in advance and the rental form was printed and ready to go. They spent the time to get the right fitting boots. 3 different brands all the same size fit very different. Skis were in great condition. My 3rd visit to Chritys and have never been disappointed.

First time skiing for us and the staff was helpful in getting the proper size and fit for our boots, skis and poles!It was a smooth, very quick check-in and upon return, a very quick check-out experience.Rental fees were very reasonable!I would definitely recommend Christy’s Sports for ski rental anytime!

Came in needing help with my ski boots. The shells were just fine but the liners were causing a ton of pain. Talked to Mike and realized I definitely needed new ski boot liners. He made the the whole process super easy and even helped me out with readjusting my ski bindings. New liners feel amazing! Great experience.

He did not ask me to update my review but I am simply because this is the kind of customer service I can appreciate. Now I will return to Christy sports without a doubt when I come back to snowboard in Colorado next season! Thank you Scott! & also thank you Mango for the information on the snowboard I rented! :)I made my reservation online because I was coming from Kansas City, never rode at any of the mountains in Colorado but I am not inexperienced on a snowboard. All the equipment was great and for a great price! Super easy to go through the process. Although, it would have been nice if the guys spent just a couple extra minutes to help you get strapped in to make sure the bindings are fitted right. My attempt at my first run at Keystone was spent messing with adjusting the bindings and again later in the day. One of my friends who rented a snowboard with me had been asked by the guy setting up his board how he wanted it, then said Im going to set this up the way I like it. Some of the guys working the rental equipment stuff were a bit rude.

I needed ski equipment for four days and got everything at Christy sports, Denver West. Kathy took great care of me and introduced me to Megan for a fitting. Boots were so comfortable (and warm) and it all worked perfectly. The store is bright and well stocked with good prices on marked down after ski and winter snow boots. It had been 20 years since I skied last and they made it a very pleasant and worry-free experience. Ill be back. Thank you so much Kathy and Megan.

Christy Sports in Lakewood gives exceptional customer service! Their ski & snowboard rental packages give you very good equipment at a fair price. You can reserve on line for a discount. Their return policy is generous, allowing returns the next day when the store opens at 10 am. The folks who work there are well trained and will fit you to the equipment you need. And their clothes and accessories are top of the line. I always bring my visiting family and guests to this store for rentals and gear. I wouldnt go anywhere else . Few stores are managed as well as this one.

Truly enjoyed our experience renting skis at Christy Sports, very friendly staff and super helpful. I reserved the equipment online and got a better deal, and once I walked in, the rest was a breeze. They provided us with everything we needed, helped my wife pick the best fitting equipment for her level and answered all of our questions. On our way back, we were delayed and missed our drop off time due to traffic and baby issues, but it was no problem, we dropped off the equipment without any charges.Highly recommended :)

This is the best ski/snowboarding store on the way to the slopes. Ive bought my ski gear, clothes and other accessories here for years and it is simply the best. This year I wanted a new ski outfit and Margot was great at helping me pick out the perfect ski jacket and pants. She was friendly, very knowledgable and extremely professional. I am planning to start skiing again after twenty years of being away. I walked into Christy Sports and saw a vast and overwhelming array of clothing and equipment. Mary, the sales person, came to my rescue and steered me towards the best deals and helped me find the right sizes immediately. It was a nice experience having a “Personal Shopper” and I had two complete outfits and all the accessories in nothing flat! Thank you Mary for all your help!!!

Very confused and frustrated by the rental policy. I came in looking to try out a model of ski that I had interest in potentially buying. I had a demo rental, which at other Christy Sports Ive rented from in the past, has meant that any ski from the sales floor that they have mounted and set up for rental can be selected as a rental. But when I asked to demo the specific ski that was on the posted list of available rentals, I was told that I had to pay a premium for Test skis which amounted to $75/day as opposed to the ~$40/day rate for demo. I was told that all skis in on the posted list qualified as test skis and would require the premium. This was not posted anywhere online and has never been the case at other locations. After I stated I wasnt interested in paying the premium, I was given an all-mountain ski that didnt really fit what was looking for in a rental (freestyle/park ski). When I returned the skis, I noticed that the rental that I had was actually listed on the test ski list, which to me would indicate that I was initially misled by the rental agent and that I actually could have demoed the ski I was interested in without any sort of premium price.

Had exactly what i needed, the harness for teaching small children to ski. $30 and works very well. Keystone here we come with the grand kid!

After many years of renting and borrowing, I was finally ready to buy a full ski package this year. I was especially nervous about buying boots. I had an excellent experience at the Christy Sports in Lakewood. The sales guy, Ted was super knowledgeable and equally helpful. He didnt push me towards the most expensive options. He helped me understand the equipment and helped me figure out what was right for me. Highly recommend!

The employees there are fantastic! I was given a snowboard by a friend, I’ve never been so I didn’t know where to start. I came in not sure what to look for or where to start. I was looking for boots and goggles, their employee Scott Mango, saw that I needed help and came over to help me. He stayed with me over an hour helping me pick out the right boots and goggles. I rented a performance package and Jim Hallgren helped me get the perfect fit!I hadn’t skied in 12 years and told him that I needed comfortable boots and easy out bindings, as I had a knee replacement a few years back.I thought i was being a real pain, but he treated me with awesome, and professional customer service.My day of skiing was so much fun, and the skis, boots and poles were just perfect.Jim was such a nice guy and I would go back to this Christy’s location every time!Thanks Jim!!

I went in today to get a new snowboard, boots and bindings and had a MILLION questions. Tim was beyond helpful and accommodating in helping me pick out the perfect board & boots. I LOVE this store. Update: A Christy manager got back to me and fixed the situation with a refund. She was a pleasure to deal with -- I would give them a second chance in the future thanks to this good customer service.Almost had a good experience renting and buying, but I paid $100 for a pair of ski pants where one of the front pocket seams came unraveled on the 4th day. I expected them to refund/replace the defective product, but they insisted on running through manufacturers warranty which they said would take 6 weeks. That’s the entire ski season!!! Take your money to REI where you can count on better products and a speedy and no hassle return process in the case of manufacturing defects.

My dad and I were looking for a place to get our skis tuned and waxed that stayed open later because we were arriving in Denver in the late afternoon. He researched a few places and called you guys and so we decided to come try you out. We were definitely not disappointed! We are still in Colorado now and my skis have never felt better! The wax job was great and my edges were super sharp, just like I like them! And the price was definitely reasonable. Thanks so much for the great job! Well be back next year!

The rental skis were in excellent condition, they had the powder skis I wanted and the in person pickup process was easy and fast!

Several of us rented ski and snowboard equipment here this past January. We made appointments to pick up our rentals and the staff got us exactly what we needed. The equipment was very nice and great quality. And the prices were very reasonable. We would definitely rent from them again next time we are in town.

Having done a lot of research on where to find high quality patio furniture, my family and I headed to Christy Sports, and were so glad we did. They had an awesome array of great patio furniture, and our salesperson Katelyn was the perfect amount of letting us talk and answering our questions. We even got a beautiful thank you note from her and Christy Sports thanking us for our business. I would highly recommend Christy Sports and the Denver West location to anyone.

My family and I rented equipment from Christys for a ski trip and they were nothing short of fantastic! We just went up for the day and they allowed us to pick everything up the day before and keep it till the day after, while only charging us for one day. Furthermore, my very special friend had a drink after snowboarding and grabbed the wrong board at the end of the day. We obviously didnt realize this until we went to return the board. The staff were so kind! I was more upset than they were. They not only didnt judge us, but found it slightly comical. They then told us not to worry about it and they would contact the mountain to see if they could find their board. When everything had been located they called me to let me know that it had been taken care of and not to worry. I would 100% rent from them again.

The staff is so friendly and most importantly, knowledgeable. I was so impressed to learn staff is asked to actually use/wear the products. I had so many questions once I realized they actually know what they are talking about and selling first hand. Love that!!

I had a great experience at the Christy sports at Denver West. Bryan Dillon was so helpful and spent a lot of time working on my ski boots and answering questions. I had previously visited the Christy Sports in Littleton and did not receive very good customer service. I was having issues with my ski boots hurting and the sales person there told me there was nothing else he could do and I would need to just buy new boots. I decided to get a second opinion and was so glad Bryan helped me. He solved the issue I was having with the my boot and Im grateful to not have to purchase new boots just yet.

All I can say, is if you need Boots, See Ted. He is the best boot fitter ever, possibly in the world.

I am a type 3 skier & wanted to try out some of the latest alpine equipment ( I have been skiing tely for about 8 years but due to medical issues needed to do something a little less strenuous). The staff was very friendly & helpful & suggested a couple alternatives for expected snow conditions & how I wanted to ski. Demo equip was in excellent shape & performed admirably. The whole experience was well organized, efficient and very pleasant.

One of the best experiences we have had renting skis! Staff was fast, friendly and efficient. They got the right size of boots on the first try. The equipment is in great condition. We had a great day skiing. I would highly recommend Christy Sports!

I live in Michigan where, in my opinion, the skiing isnt worth talking about. As a result, I gave up owning skis years ago. Why own stuff that ages when you can travel to CO and rent up-to-date stuff from Christy Sports?Every visit to Christy Sports is a pleasure...not only from the business aspect of renting skis, but from the interaction with great people that enjoy their work and take an interest in you. They know their stuff and they know Colorado skiing. Count on their advice!On this trip, we picked-up our skis at the Lakewood store because our flight arrived too late for us to pick them up at their Frisco store, where we had made our reservation. A Christy specialty...it does not matter where you reserve the pickup or dropoff cause youre in their database. After our last day of skiing, on the way back to Denver, we dropped-off our skis at the Dillon store. Again, no issue. The store was packed with people getting skis, but there was no line for returns. A store associate saw we were returning skis, asked my name, found us on his tablet and checked us out...like in less than a minute! Awesome service!Theres other places to ski in CO, but in our case why choose other than Christy Sports??? Their track record over the years is the best!

Good help from staff. Only problem we encountered was an additional charge we were not expecting or notified of up front. We rented from Lakewood location but returned at Keystone CO location. We made this clear at the time we picked up in Lakewood and were told no problem. What they didnt tell us was there was going to be a $5.00 per rental charge to transport the skis back to Lakewood. Small price to pay, but would have been nice if they would have let us know up front.

We always book early and rent our ski equipment from this Christy Sports. For the three of us, we save about $100 a day compared to the on-resort prices, plus avoid the long lines. Christys rental equipment is always new and of good quality. Pick-up is fast and easy and the techs are efficient, knowledgeable, and helpful!

We have rented skis from Christy on two occasions and we could not be happier. They are very knowledgeable and friendly. Great customer service. We have two children and after asking key questions they were able to set us all up with the right size and performance level skis. The process has been fast and convenient on our way through Denver and into the Mountains. If there had been any problems we could have taken the skis into the slope-side store and exchanged them. Drop off is quick and easy. Would highly recommend this store to everyone!

I went in today looking for some snowboard boots and Tim was super helpful. He was friendly and knowledgeable and helped me find the right size. The store has a great selection of boots!

Feedback on Sales Associate:I purchased a pair of ski boots on 10-31-12. I typically do not give store feedback but my shopping experience was exceptional so I thought I would share that with you.My sales associate was Matt Bailey at the Denver West store.Mat was extremely knowledgeable about all of the different models of boots and about the custom fitting of the boots. He listened to me describe what I wanted and asked several questions before directing toward the right boot. He helped me try on about six or seven different pairs of boots. If the fit was not perfect he suggested that I try something different, he kept bring out boots until I found the perfect boot. He not only found the perfect boot for me but he also took the time to educate me on boots and what we were doing as we tried the boots with different flex’s, cants…He performed the custom footbed installation perfectly. Taking his time to get the perfect fit and listening to my concerns and questions.I was very impressed with this young man! He was nice, pleasant, knowledgeable, and gave me all the time I needed to find the perfect boot. He is obviously into skiing himself and was excited about the sport and helping people. This shopping experience for me was absolutely great!!!It is this kind of excellent service and shopping experience that will keep me shopping at Christy Sports! Thank you!

This is based on Denver West Location. Yes, they are knowledgeable - sort of their job. Prices are high but could be balanced if the customer service was good, but it is absolutely horrible. Ive been a skier, on a ski team in high school and now skied for almost 30 years and never in my life have I been treated as poorly, rude and disrespectfully as when I went to the Denver West location to purchase a pair of ski boots. I did not buy here nor will I ever, solely based on how inappropriate and rude the shoe/boot salesmen was to me.
