Love this store! We have been going here for four years now. Only once did they not have something I was looking for but were helpful in telling me where I could find it, as well as showing me substitutions they carried. The first time I went in without my kids they asked where they were, which I loved because it gave a small town feel to the area. They are tucked away behind a fast food place, which sucks because I feel like theyd probably get way more business, like they deserve, if they were more visible from the main road. I recommend this store to anyone that asks me where I buy Asian foods.

This is my most favorite place been shopping there since 1990 my kids were little Lol.

It’s a little market but they have all kind of things.People are kind and friendly.Also you can buy many different kind of Korean Kimchi or side dishes that they made.

They have a homemade Korean Kimchi not from factory. It is really better than factory one. I have no idea about other things except homemade Kimchi, when I looked and checked them and I didnt want to buy. They have pretty much Korean and Asian stuffs, but I didnt want to buy.

This place was a treasure. I wasnt expecting so much stuff, usually its a mix of mostly American and little bit of imports at markets like this. Not this place, decked from wall to wall with stuff you wont find anywhere else, its a good place to explore and find cool stuff. I loved it!

Great kimchi, meat selection and frozen area. Its a market though not a super market so youll find a wider selection and variety at some of the bigger places like Pal-do or H-mart. Personally, Id rather support a local business and will continue to shop here. Check them out!

Great selection and prices. They make a lot of their prepared foods daily and onsite. I love their fresh kimchee and kimbap. They also have an adjoining restaurant thats pretty good.

They cook all my favorite korean dishes and side dishes. There are some parts of the store that are a bit sketchy but the food they make themselves are always great. The only reason I give 4 stars is because its questionable how long they keep that food out at room temperature. But its the best place Ive found that makes the best staples of asian cuisine.

The family owned Korean restaurant at the back of the store is a hidden gem. The food is always made fresh, and the portions are large. This is my favorite place to take out of town guests.

This place is amazing and very friendly. All the food is homemade and tastes like it would if you visited a Korean grandma for dinner. Very good quality and value, definitely worth your time if you enjoy Korean food!

My daughters favorite place! (She loves Kim-chee cucumbers.) Plenty of parking. Access inside would be a little difficult for wheelchairs...just ask at front for help. Excellent employees! Enjoy!

Always the best kimchi

This asian market smelled clean and looked great. (So many smell like fish and fermented fish) The best selection of pickled and preserved veggies /fish/seaweed in this area. The staff was very helpful.

I maybe biased on my review but this place is one of the best and longest running Asian markets in WA. Its owned by a wonderful family. Come shop here first before going to other places

Great selection of Kimchis could use a better vegetables selection. All the prepared food I tried was very good. Cleanliness is OK, store is very friendly and you feel comfortable asking for help if you are not Korean.

It is a very good Korean market. My mom goes there for Kimchee. They have lots of different kinds of Kimchee.

Their banchan (side-dishes) is rumored among Koreans to be the best. I shop here time to time, but mainly go for the banchan.

Very nice smaller market with Korean emphasis. Specialty is the kimchee deli- great selection of house made treats available by weight and prepackaged. The little cafe inside is excellent- small menu of Korean dishes, very busy at lunchtime with JBLM folks but open for dinner as well.

This is a great Korean market, they have a large selections of kimchi that is made there. They have many different types of meat like bulgogi and Frozen Seafood. The produce section is very small but it has the hard to find Korean produce black trumpet mushrooms Korean cucumbers.

I eat a lot of Asian food so go there quite often to get what Im looking for and often go to the little restaurant that is in the rear of the market for a nice lunch. The people there are very nice and friendly.

Especially the chicken & cheese omelette, ramen, and teriyaki chicken. My favorite is their salad (and I typically hate salads) its fresh cabbage with her own sauce.

This is a great little Korean store. They have a small cafe with a good selection of food, and a very large selection of fresh kimchee. Thier produce section is small and you might not find everything you need, but its a must stop if you like kimchee.

Buy kimuchi here. its really good. bring some cash too.

This Korean market has been under the same owner for at least 30 years. Back then these small mom and pop Korean markets were the only resources Korean moms had to purchase the fresh ingredients and spices they needed to make those wonderful condiments that accompany the Korean table. If you have ever eaten in a Korean restaurant or had the privilege of being invited into a Korean home, you know what I am talking about. Homemade Korean food is best eaten amongst friends and family. There was a time when every Tacoma family made their own kimchi and other side dishes. I can remember my own family right here in Tacoma making tons of radish, cucumber and cabbage kimchee just for the immediate family. Sadly, we modern people have gotten away from performing the annual ritual of kimchi making and playing Korean cards all night!This market has not forgotten the old ways. Everything they make is made in the store by a small dedicated group following old handed down recipes. The owner, a bit older now, enforces strict quality and traditional ways.What is modern is that he sells small amounts for weekly use. He will certainly sell you more if you want in bigger bottles but it is not necessary.Now I will tell you, the prices in this store for his homemade kimchi and condiments are not cheap. But they good. They are very good. Far better than anything you can buy in Tacoma.
