This is just a fantastic old-school hardware store where they actually care about you. The staff is friendly and helpful every time. They will help you solve your problem and stock almost everything imaginable. And, you can fill your propane tank or do an exchange. If you havent been here and usually shop at home Depot or other giant hardware stores, treat yourself right and come here next time. Give these good people your business!

Katie cut my key perfectly and was teaching two other coworkers how to use the machine simultaneously. Super friendly and very fast service, they even cut it for free. Ill definitely be back for any hardware needs. These people are awesome! I was directed here from lowes because theyre the only ones around that cut complex car keys.Give Katie a promotion, shes fantastic and was obviously a natural teacher/leader in the 10 minute interaction we had.

I wasn’t greeted when I walked in. I went in for an online order pick up, man in the back did not want to help me so he had a nice young lady help me, she got my order within 2 minutes and was very kind, but as I was walking out the man in the paint section started yelling at me asking if I had a receipt even though there was a large white paper with a printed barcode and the ace logo on my item. Don’t think this would have happened if I was white.

I went to this location for seed starting supplies. It is not laid out well at all, with all the lawn/garden products spread all over the place and with mislabeled aisles. I eventually found a nice gentleman to help me locate seed starting soil but when I picked up the bag it was all wet. I noticed the bags of organic potting soil were sitting right next to Roundup, and so I suggested maybe one of the jugs leaked. He said no that wasn’t possible, but when I checked I found a jug with a small leak on the bottom and it had leaked all over the shelf and the bags. I ended up with my hands and jacket covered in Roundup. Another employee let me use the restroom to wash my hands, but no attempts were made to immediately clean this up nor to help me find an alternative product. I notified the cashier staff and they did not seem concerned. I was really disappointed with how the situation was handled and also surprised that chemicals are kept literally right next to “organic” bags of soil. I ended up going to a different ace location and finding the right product with no trouble and no chemicals anywhere near.

Great local hardware store....especially for special hardware items that cant be found at the big guys. Perfect in every way except the store age and design compared to other aces. Excellent help every time. Really love the propane filling and paint recycling options here.

Nice, knowledgeable, and helpful! I am always happy to support a local business that does such a great job. They are a bit more expensive sometimes but honestly if you use their coupons I dont think there is much difference. Plus you can ALWAYS get assistance in the store, which is worth it.

Went in to purchase a gallon of deck stain. No one working in the paint section. Asked the check out clerk to call some body to have the stain shaken up. Waited but no one showed up. Asked the clerk again to call for some assistance but no one came to help. Gave up waiting paid for the stain and left the store. Sad this used to be one of the better Ace outlets.

Outstanding customer service! They truly care about your satisfaction and will do right by you. They will be my first stop for all of my hardware needs. If you are tired of walking around big box stores trying to find someone to help you, consider going to this Ace location where you are sure to walk away satisfied.

Luckily enough for me this is the closest Ace to my house, but I would go out of my way to go to this specific store. The selection is great, all the aisles are labeled appropriately, and the staff is amazing. I didnt have any coupons on me when I was driving by and the cashier on the morning of 6/3/19 (Nancy??) was so sweet and offered me one of the coupons she had in her pocket. This wasnt the first positive experience I have had here either!

I called Lake Ridge Ace — literally from the aisle at Lowe’s, after waiting 45 mins for simple glass cutting — and by the time I arrived, my glass was ready. Incredibly kind and helpful staff in all areas of the store.I’ll never go anywhere but Ace again for my home improvement errands.

The folks that work here are engaging and knowledgeable about the store. They are helpful in guiding customers to the right area and product.

Since the remodel the ACE has improved a lot. It is bigger, has better selection and lots of help. A perfect place with that small town, hardware store feel.

I was in months ago looking for a replacement part. I stopped in many other stores first as it was for a car cold air intake. Was able to find a, I believe, nylon replacement that fit. They were reorganizing or getting a new set up so a couple individuals were sitting on the ground sorting through pieces looking for what I needed. They were amazing, I would have had to undo the whole thing and reinstalled it without them. Could not say better things about this location.

By far and away the best service anywhere. I took in a few old sliding door rollers that needed new wheels, and they took the time to pull them apart and install the new set.Every time I go theyre helpful. Feels more like a mom & pop hardware store than a big chain.

Always helpful and a friendly neighborhood store. If you cant find it at the Depot or Lowes, youre bound to find it here. Great for getting replacements things for houses that are more than 20 years old. Not too small and not as big as Green Mountain ACE. I love this place and have shopped here for 20+ years.

I absolutely love this place! I started going here instead of Lowes or Home Depot about 2 years ago and it was the best decision ever!Everyone that works here is EXTREMELY knowledgeable and Ive always walked out with exactly what I needed (even when I didnt know I needed it)!One time I was replacing the dishwasher at my house (built in 1950) which didnt have any standard plumbing. The manager at Ace let me take a bunch of different pieces and let me borrow a butane torch (at no charge) to get the old plumbing loose.I got everything hooked up, went back to Ace, returned the torch and paid for the items I used. Best customer service ever!

I dont usually go to this Ace because it is further away from my house than a different Ace, but I might have to make the drive if every visit is as positive as an experience.I had a plumbing project that was not going as planned. After explaining my problem, an employee (I think he was the manager, but I dont remember his name) brainstormed with me and we came up with a solution. He was great and even cut a little piece of pipe and gave it to me free of charge.Also, Im sad to say, but as I woman I sometimes feel that I either get talked down to or just completely ignored in hardware stores, and that was not the case here!!!

I have come here with two different plumbing problems. Both the big box stores and a plumbing supplier told me Id have to buy whole new fixtures and I was out of luck. The guys here found custom solutions--involving some cutting, grinding, and adding different pieces to make it work. Both problems were fixed perfectly, quickly, and affordably--all with great customer service. I cant recommend them enough.

Excellent service - they have a big staff, so I can always find someone who knows the specific area I need help with. I have always gotten excellent advice from the staff, so I drive extra distance to come here rather than the big box home improvement stores nearer to my house.

They are so helpful and good natured. They brainstorm with me to determine how to use what exists to continue with my project. (Instead of choosing to stop at no one makes something like that.) Ill continue to shop there!

Ace is usually known for its helpful staff. These guys are amazing! I needed a few plumbing setups and Oden(sp?) was helping me in one set and another staff member on another! I was really amazed. Ive been coming here off and on for years, but these guys are getting better and better every year.

I am always amazed at the customer service at Lake Ridge Ace! Today, I went in and hadnt seen Mike, the owner, in a while. I was looking for a new lawn mower after many frustrating hours and days trying to fix my old Scotts lawn mower. He spent a good 45 minutes with me going over the options at one of the busiest times of day in his store. He gave me a great deal on a Toro mower. Then, when I returned home, and tried my old mower just for kicks, it started. I returned the mower back to Ace, and there was no judgment on his part. He and the rest of the crew were completely understanding! I got home, and my old mower wouldnt start again. I realize that I can fix the carburetor, but I changed my mind once again and he gave me the same deal as I returned to buy the mower again! Talk about EXCELLENT customer service! I also love supporting the smaller franchises, as I dont think of ACE as a big box store like Lowes or HD. Anyway, Mike and his staff are simply amazing at what they do! Knowledgeable, fair, and friendly! What more could you ask?

I needed bolts for my license plate. The young man at the store loaned me a tool to use. Very nice staff and the fresh popcorn smell is awesome!

They have gone out there way to help me with some dining room chairs that needed sliders on them. Their customer service is very good and that is the reason we go there almost every weekend. Now the store size is doubling and the inventory is growing as well.

I have used this Ace hardware for most of my quick needs. Its been an easy place to navigate and everyone is usually helpful.Last time I was in there I had a coupon for 50% off of any item $30 or less. I had two items less than $30 at checkout. The coupon took half off the lower priced item, and I asked the cashier if I could get the 50% off of the higher priced item, since it still was under $30. The cashier gave me an annoyed look, and stopped being welcoming, even apologizing to his supervisor. I didnt think it was that big of a deal, but he did, and it made me feel unwelcome. He then took 50% off both items, which was not what I had asked, and processed it as two separate transactions.Because of this issue with the cashier, I now I go to Lowes or the Ace in Edgewater if I have to get any more than one item. If I need a box of nails or a bolt, this is still the place I go to.

Best hardware store in the area. If I need something hardwarey Ill always go here. A MILLION times better than Lowes or Home Depot (not a fan of those stores). The staff is VERY knowledgeable, friendly, and the prices are great. This is also a locally owned business, do the right thing and support local (especially since they blow their competition away).

Looked all over the internet for the ONE product available at this location ( which is very far from our home) They said they would hold it for me, I sent my husband when he got home and OOPS!! Horrible service. They seemed to go out of their way to not help me. When I was finally able to stop someone that was dodging me they didnt know much of anything. I ended up just walking out and went somewhere else. If you know exactly what you want and exactly where it is then this store is probably fine. If not, stay away.

We got tired of Home depot and Lowes for the simple matter...no one ever around to help. The folks here at Ace always go out of their way to be of service. Overpriced compared to REPUTABLE online dealers, plus these guys arent aware of their own inventory. Of course when I asked for the manager he said they DID have the product after a lady that hemmed and hawed for twenty secs on the phone told me nothing . When I asked if they would slightly discount in the spirit of competitiveness, I got the hemming and hawing routine again ($20 less online). So I said just give me the bottom line and he mouthed the word NOOOO like a smartass. Theres no point in going here unless you want to overpay and feel like you went back in time to 1978.

Hows this for a referral...I went to HD to find a tough item and the guy who helped me there told me that I probably should go to Ace on Kipling. And the really dopey thing was that when I headed off to HD, I questioned myself if I should have gone ahead to Ace first. I should have followed my gut on that one. My experience with them is that they are not a very sophisticated operation, but they always have the stuff I need. Its kind of like my experience with another chain of stores; Im a boater and theres a chain of boating supply stores called West Marine, and theyre expensive and all that, but damn it, they have the goods. Thats kind of how I feel about Ace on Kipling. Its not the greatest experience in the world, but damn it, they got the goods.
