Customer service is horrible. I purchased a queen mattress at this location 1 year ago. 3 months after my purchase I reported problems with the mattress and was scheduled a inspection of it. I came to the store to talk to a manager and no luck. I called several times and given the same answer that the mattress was good. The tech measured with weights and said there was nothing wrong. Problem is when laying in the mattress you roll to the center. I reported this to management and they stated that inspection was in specifications and nothing wrong. I requested a new mattress but was denied. I furnished 2 homes with Value City and found out that there is no customer loyalty. I am stuck with a $900.00 mattress that is not usable. Stay away from them as they will not offer any assistance when there is a problem with one of their products. My back has problems and I will never buy from them again. Of to another store to purchase a good mattress which I hope will last more than 3 months. Buyer beware of this place.

Tim B! The best salesman around. No pressure, listens, is patient. Does not ask you all personal questions to make conversation. Very friendly but calm. Perfect for us!If you go to the Lakewood Value City, be sure to request him. He knows what he’s doing and reads customers very well. Never makes you feel rushed.

I purchased a grey American made loveseat and sofa, so much for American made. It’s only been 2 months and the sofa cushions are flattened thread coming out from cushions. Mind you I have no children living with me at all. This is cheap furniture that I paid a lot of money for. Never again. I’m disappointed and out of money. For now on it will be LAZY BOY!!! AT LEAST I KNOW IBWILL BE GETTING MY MONEY WORTH. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED IN VALUE CITY. WORSE FURNITURE I EVER BROUGHT AND KEPT.

So many issues. I get the furniture delay, due to COVID, out of the stores control. BUT I spent $800 to have a 5 year warranty on all my furniture. I purchased 2 rooms worth. Within just a month or 2 the top of my nightstand was peeling off. I called, sent in pics and was told that it would most likely be picked up to be repaired. I didn’t understand why since I had the piece for only a short time. I never heard from anyone and I ended up getting busy w working in retail, holiday and pandemic. I decided to start calling and emailing again in June. Now I’m told that there is nothing that can be done. Since I waited so long. Even tho I have a 5 year warranty. when I tried to speak to a customer service manager, she told me nothing could be done, that there was no one else I could speak to and she hung up on me. WORST SERVICE EVER. I will go never do business with them again.

Value city furniture Lakewood is the worst furniture store I have ever been too in my life. Not only will I never ever recommend this place. I will never go there again!!! They are not only liers they are thieve. Stay clear from this place if you dont like feeling cheated or taken advantage of. And good luck to anyone crazy enough to deal with this terrible headache of a franchise.

We have furnished basically our entire home with Value City and it has always been a positive experience over all. We recently had an issue with a 3 year old Sealy mattress we purchased there, and although we had some issues getting them to process a warranty claim at first, the management at Value City did step in and get us answers from Sealy and results and we’re extremely helpful. Thank you very much to the store manager, Brittany, for taking the time to listen to our concerns and for going to bat for us with Sealy. Ultimately, she and the service department manager were able to get the issue resolved for us and we were able to re select a new mattress. Derrick is the best and always helps us with our selections when we need something new for our home, and this time was no exception. He was very patient and kind with us and in helping us select the right mattress for us.

When we walked in we were greeted kindly and professionally. Said we were just browsing. After we had selected an item of interest, And I signaled to our salesman (Tim) he promptly approached and answered all our questions. He was very knowledgeable and was able to expedite our delivery, which was very important to us. Tim made our experience at Value City pleasant and stress free.We will recommend our friends to him!

HORRIBLE PLACE!!! I would give zero stars but that’s not an option!!! I purchased a loveseat and sofa on 03/27/2021 and as of today (7/12/2021) I still do not have a sofa. At the store I was told I would have the sofa by mid May….then it’s at the end of June due to lumbar shortage at the end of June something else now 2nd week of July and now here it is the second week of July and Tim tried calling me to give me another excuse!!! I REPEAT IF YOU WANT YOUR FURNITURE IN A TIMELY MANNER DO NOT GO HERE!!!

He asked if he could help us, and we said we were just looking. He said fine, and gave us a scratch off a certain percentage off a sale. We proceeded to look around and when we had questions Derek was there to answer them. He then left us alone to do more browsing. We approached Derek a couple more times with questions until we knew what we wanted. He then helped us with the purchase of bedroom furniture and a mattress. Matt is the best! Very friendly & knowledgeable. We like that there was just the right balance of attentiveness and leaving us be to figure out what we wanted. Other furniture stores are like vultures so this was a nice welcomed change....ultimately we need to wait for delivery but thats not Matts nor VCs fault, its due to covid. We heard that delivery is delayed from every store we went to. Hopefully, the expected delivery date wont be too far off from whats being quoted and we can get our living room set! So far, very impressed with this location. Ask for Matt when you go, you wont be disappointed!

Down to earth, knowledgeable and kind to me, my wife and two kids. Not only did Derek help us decide on the perfect sectional and bedroom set for our oldest boys room, but he then came in on his day off to finalize the sale after we closed on our home. He was excited for us and honestly, by the end of our transaction Derek felt like an old friend. He’s the only salesman I would by furniture from, hands down. Value City also has amazing 36 month, zero percent financing available which helped in our decision on where to buy from. We could not be happier. Go see Derek and you will be happy too!

Went there to buy a mattress and it was very easy. They had a bed that tested your pressure points and matched you with a mattress that best suits your needs. Brittany was very helpful and made the process quick and easy. Would recommend buying a mattress from here. Positive experience!

Service was great. We ordered our furniture a month prior to our move in day and was informed the day before delivery a piece for the couch was not in. Apparently it still wont be in for a week.. we ordered A MONTH AGO! How is this even okay?! I think its just b.s. so much for a blissful move in ...

NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM VALUE CITY!!! THEY ARE THE WORST!! I BOUGHT A DINING ROOM SET ALONG WITH A CONTRACT. CALLED SET NEEDED ATTENTION INSTEAD OF REPLACING THEY TOOK IT FROM MY HOME TO SAND AND REFINISH THE WHOLE SET. THAT WAS A JOKE IT CAME BACK TWO DIFFERENT COLORS ONLY PIECES WERE SANDED AND THEY DAMAGED MY SET SO BAD! DONT DONT DONT BUY FROM THEM!!!!
