My laptop charging port died, and on my model of laptop that parts unfortunately soldered to the motherboard (LENOVO WHY), so it was beyond my abilities to fix. Update - 05-10-2021Since speaking to Bert on the phone, I have been able to resolve the issue with E-Tech. Computer is back and appears to be fixed. Bert went out of his way to make sure the item was found, fixed and returned and we appreciate his effort. Still giving 3 stars for having our computer for 1.5 years, but happy about salvaging our interaction with E-tech.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------This company has had an Imac belonging to me for 1.5 years. Both myself and my business partner have tried to retrieve the item but the gentleman who answers the phone and works the counter refuses to help find the computer or offer any info as to the status of the repair.We have been told the owner will call us, he does not. We have been told that the gentleman is only a clerk and helping us is not his job. My latest call was today and got the same response as always with a guarantee that we would be called back.Hopefully this review will allow us to move forward with the company. We are baffled that somebody would want a computer sitting in their shop all of this time. To be clear...we have paid for the repair in question ($194.37) and still have an invoice. We have been advised by the Lakewood Police Dept. to file with small claims court if this cannot be resolved in person.

My boyfriend spilled a glass of wine on my computer. It immediately shut off. I did all the online tips/tricks to dry it out. 2 days later it would turn on for short bursts.I went to the Apple store. Without even looking at my computer for the briefest of seconds, they said it was likely fried and they did not have the equipment to look into it in store (which appears to be comprised of a very tiny screwdriver). My options were 1) Send it off for a week and pay $800 for repair if it was salvageable or 2) Pay $1000 for a new computer (wait, only one Apple store in town MIGHT have that one in stock, will probably need to buy the $1200 one)I went to E-Tech at 11AM. They said no problem. By 1PM they had called me, told me they found the problem and that it was almost definitely fixable. They gave me a quote range which was less than 1/2 of the quote at Apple. They told me it would be ready by Monday (mind you, they arent even open Sunday). Monday at lunchtime I got a call that my computer was in great shape and ready to go for exactly the cost they estimated. 2 days later and its like nothing ever happened. Very impressed.

My PS4 Hdmi port was glitch, my TV screen had lines running through it, I took it to E-tech they had it diagnosed and repaired within one hour! My kids and myself are excited about to turn around and being able to play on PS4 console again. These guys get the job done right!!

This is my third time working with ETech and ALL the times I have had an exceptional experience with the company. The owner is such a nice guy and his service is great. This time I took my computer to him, he actually had it done for me before I was even back home (which is less than a 30 min drive). I don’t think there is anything that they can’t do! I have had a PlayStation that’s been broken for over a year now, every place I’ve tried to take it to before E-tech was really annoying and I felt like they were just not reliable or trust worthy. Found these guys yesterday, they ran a free diagnosis on my PS4 pro and found the problem, told me what was wrong and fixed it for a very reasonable price, even threw in a new charging cable and hdmi cord for free because mine weren’t good. I would very highly recommend them to anyone I know who need their tech fixed fast and want an extremely easy and nice process. These dude know their stuff for sure and are very honest.

Have gone here 2 different times for the same issue... Both times I paid a bill when service was complete... Both times the same issue arose within a week-month...However they did put new parts in it! Parts that very likely were working just fine... This is in reference to a PS4.. I had to have my computer checked out and fixed as my screen went blank while I was using it. They were very courageous over the phone when I called about bringing it in. Being a senior citizen they were very good and to the point in explaining what they found and the repair needed. The cost was very reasonable. Good Customer Service and customer orientated.

I took my sons PS4 here for repair. The main issue was the PS4 sounded like a jet engine. The crew at E-Tech fixed it within 1 day and everything is running super quiet. They quoted a repair for $99 that would fix the fan and heat sync that was probably clogged with dust. I felt it was a good price for a local company to fix it over buying a used PS4 that would probably have issues in the future. I would recommend this company as they were nice and professional and solved my problem. Keep it local Cleveland.

Took my 7th gen iPad to Etech for a quote to repair the screen. My screen was trashed and in just a couple of days I had it back good as new. Best price I could find and I shopped around. So pleased and would recommend this little Lakewood shop to all!

Awesome customer service. They were very helpful from the first call. They answered all of our questions, seemed to be very knowledgeable, patient and understanding. We took my sons laptop to them. They give us an estimate the next day, as we had come in at closing. They ordered the part, sent us a Fed ex tracking number. The part was recieved with in three days. It was fixed the same day they received the part. We received a phone call that our laptop was ready for pick up. We were impressed with the service.

I took my ps4 on Friday and I told them I had an issue of my PlayStation so I let do there thing. And they called back of my ps4 and they say everything looks good but your chip of your ps4 is unrepairable but they offer me a new ps4 it’s fixed and clean also they offer me a free call of duty black ops 4 they were nice and I told them what price and they gave me an ok price 130$ plus tax and that’s not that bad so my mom bought it and it perfectly works. I had really bad water damage to my Macbook Air (it wouldnt turn on), and when I called, they immediately told me what they thought was wrong (they said it was probably logic board issues). I brought in my mac and they had it fixed by the next day and told me they replaced my logic board. They didnt charge me anything to look at it, and the price of the new logic board was way cheaper than what Apple charges. My mac seemed to be working properly, but when I brought my mac home it kept randomly turning off when it wasnt connected to power. I called back and they told me that the water damage must have messed up the battery as well. I brought back my mac and by the next day, they had replaced my battery, and only charged me for the price of the battery. They didnt charge any tax or for any labor to replace the battery. They even searched around to find me the a decently priced battery that wasnt too expensive. I really would recommend this business because their prices are reasonable, they kept me up to date on everything they were doing with my mac, and they performed their services in a timely manner. I would also recommend them because of the fact they looked around to find me a good quality battery for the cheapest price, which is something they offered to do, I didnt even ask them to do so.

I woke up and found my Xbox had stopped connecting to my tv. I called up e-tech and they had me bring it in and were able to get it fixed up and cleaned out same day and had me back to gaming within 6 hours. The oarts and services were reasonably priced. DO NOT GO HERE.Would give a 0 start review if possible.Absolute worst place you can take equipment in for repair - I brought my MacBook Pro in because a few keys were not working from a coffee spill. There was a nice older working and a younger one - the older man let me know they would do no work until I got my free diagnostic call & the younger one gave me the price of what a new keyboard would cost. I did not hear anything until I called a few days later, they told me I would need an entire new logic board for $750 or I could buy the same computer used from them. I did not want to move forward with this option but later found they had replaced my keyboard anyway & were trying to charge me $250 for that - even though I said NOT to do any work at all.Three phone calls later, the younger worker was VERY aggressive with me, saying that I was confused and that the apple store must have quoted me for that $750 logic board. He said they would not give my laptop back the way I dropped it off and threatened to rip out the keyboard, leaving me with a non-working laptop. Finally they reviewed security footage and the older gentleman admitted & apologized for misquoting me on the logic board, but said I still had to pay for the keyboard work they completed. I offered a lower payment & he accepted - but left the phone off the hook at the end of the call.The younger worker REPEATEDLY called me a bitc* and yelled at the older man. He said they would not give the laptop back when we would come by to pick it up and what is that lady even gonna do about it.We finally got my laptop back & I immediately noticed the keyboard WAS NOT EVEN NEW, clear wear and tear all over they keys, they lied and still wanted a full payment.I will NEVER take any equipment back to Etech - worst customer service, biggest egos, takes forever for them to call you.

Outstanding small business! I had an overhaul done on pur primary laptop, as well as a PS4 repaired. There were opportunities that he could have unnecessarily up sold me but out of honesty and integrity he saved me money. Work was done exactly as expected and on the agreed upon schedule. I travel 40 mins out of my way to shop here and its a pleasure every time. I highly recommend.

Steve and the staff at E-Tech were of great help to me. I had a 6 y/o HP laptop that I was very pleased with but it needed to be upgraded to Windows 10 due to Windows 7 no longer being supported. Im not a very technical person, but felt comfortable once I spoke and met with E-Tech. After running a quick diagnostic check at the shop, it was determined that my laptop would be a good candidate for the upgrade. Steve was able to backup my entire computer, perform the upgrade, reload all of my original data/programs and have the computer back to me in a very reasonable amount of time. I was given status updates throughout the process. I had a couple of questions after getting the computer home and Steve was very helpful in guiding me through the issues on the phone and made sure I was comfortable and up and running smoothly. The entire process was an easy one for this technophobe and Im so glad to have a new go-to spot for my future computer needs/issues.

My PS4 began crashing and freezing like crazy. I tried absolutely everything I could read about to try and fix it. I even completely whiped it. Nothing. I brought it in here at after 5:15 and they closed at 6:00. I still got a call by 5:45 telling me what the issue was and told them to fix it. It was ready by 1:00 the next day. And now everything seems to be working great. They found a short in my motherboard and it turns out that apparently theyre one of the only places around that can fix that. Definitely recommend using them. Great service and work.

I had a terrible crisis when the I-Mac that is the heart of my recording studio died suddenly. I was prepared to buy a new one when someone recommended Steve at E-Tech. The man performed a miracle and was able to remove the screen and display, get to the hard drive, and replace it. AND HE DID IT IN TWO DAYS! I had high hopes based on the ratings. The fan in my laptop had gone out. The fan was replaced in a day so I thought the problem was solved. The new fan wasnt communicating with the motherboard properly and brought the computer back. The computer was unusable due to overheating. A month of back and forth, the fan was fixed. But when I got my computer back, I noticed on the sheet it said a few malicious programs were cleared off. THOSE MALICIOUS PROGRAMS WERE ALL MY GAMES. Thank goodness for cloud storage.

They were great! We drove from Akron and they were considerate of our drive. They were able to diagnose our PS4 and tell us it was the hard drive that was not working.

They fixed my device for less than a third of the price that Apple would have charged. It was a huge relief to know they wouldnt try to rip me off. Theyll be my first stop if I ever need computer repair again. (They were a little slow on getting to it, but that was okay because it wasnt urgent for me.)

Bert and Steve were awesome! I was having issues with my Xbox One and they were able to easily diagnose the problem and take care of it within the next day. There was also a separate issue which I had caused when I opened it up prior to taking it in and in less than an hour they fixed the problem and had me back to normal, free of charge! E tech is wonderful. Excellent communication and extremely fast service. They do not over charge people at all, they are not looking to make a ton of money off people. My son sent his PS4 motherboard in to have the HDMI port fixed. He had called several local places to see how much it would cost and prices ranged from $100 -$150. He found e-tech on ebay, read all the wonderful reviews and decided to send it to them. He was happy he did and also saved a ton of money. The whole process took less than 5 days, and it works perfectly. Thank you again! I would highly recommend them.

Ive had an amazing experience working with E-Tech Computers over the years! After my MacBook experienced the black screen of death I took it to the Apple store and they wanted me to pay them a minimum of $500 and have it shipped away for repair. Steve was able to fix it in a day for a 1/3 of the cost! He also worked his magic and brought my wifes 2011 MacBook Pro back from the dead. Hes the real deal!

Michelle was awesome. I had question after question and 2 external drives that were not readable. She was honest about the probability of repair and what I needed to do if the drives became operable. I then returned to see if one of the drives would work. She determined it was a cord and then advised me to transfer the data just in case the motherboard was dying.I appreciated the honesty and that she did not try to sell me service. It was up to me. The address of this place has changed but the service has not! E-Tech does amazing work for a great price. My screen would not turn on and it was cracked. He looked at the computer for free then told me exactly what was wrong with it. The repairs only took 3 business days and that was because of having to order a new screen. His customer communication is exemplary. I wish more business provided the kind of communication that E-Tech provided. This is THE BEST place to take your computer for any repairs!! Phenomenal job!! I brought my computer in for repairs and didnt hear back for three weeks. I had to call in to check on the little to no progress being made for the next three months, all the while dealing with standoffish customer service. They purchased a new motherboard without first giving me an estimate on repairs and then failed at installation and never got assistance from the manufacturer over the course of the next month. At that point I requested my laptop be returned to me. I had to wait three business days (over a weekend too) to get it back. It was returned with the motherboard detached, missing the necessary attaching screws, damage to some of the bus connectors, and taped labels on parts. Over three months later I still have a useless laptop, now missing screws and more damaged by a repairman unwilling to admit he couldnt handle the problem at hand.

Unbelievable experience! The owner, Stephen, is a great guy with even greater knowledge! I was able to drop my console off and grab lunch by the time I had finished he had fixed the problem. At a great price as well! I recommend going here for any tech problems you might be having whether it be your phone, console, or laptop. Overall, amazing experience and I will be coming back for years to come.
