Great neighborhood find! Stuffed full of spices at great prices like you would find in Amish country but closer to home. Theres candy fixings, flour, honey, fruit fillings and so much more. Worth the visit if youre a home chef.

This place has some of the most eclectic ingredients Ive found outside of a rural fair. If youre an aspiring herbalist, a cook looking for dried porcinis and shittakes, a Neville Longbottom fan, or just a baker looking for a great variety of flours, you can find ingredients here, and everything seems reasonably priced.

I love this place. I get so many spices, flour, herbs, candy, syrup and so much more here. Great prices, all high quality, and variety is unmatched. The gentleman there is always super friendly, helpful and kind. I find Urban Bulk to be a treasure.

I Love this little gem of a store! It is packed full of organic bulk spices and food. I really like that they carry smaller packages too.They sell Cleveland ketchup, which I didnt even know existed, and is the best ketchup Ive ever had! I bought non GMO purple popcorn kernels which pop up fast and is so white too. Every kernel popped. Its delicious without salt or butter. I have given it as gifts and the recipients loved it too. (They sell other colors of popcorn too, by the way.) And the fresh bacon in the refrigerated section is a nice touch. The owner is very friendly and personable. He answered all my questions with a smile. The woman behind the counter was also friendly and personable too. I HIGHLY recommend this store, especially over the larger corporate owned stores.

This is such a sweet place to get Amish eggs, cheese, bacon & butter. They also have any spice, salt, flour you can possibly think of. Ooooh and they have candy too! Love this place!

The items that they didnt have they said they were ordered with was the red clover the knuckles and the Goldenrod and I will do that prior to my next event customer service was good though they were also out of the tea balls

I LOVE URBAN BULK! Dennis is super kind, and the bulk medicinal herb collection is wonderful. Ive requested herbs that have been added to the inventory. The quality of the goods is very impressive. You can find lots of great flours, local maple syrup, snacks for a long road trip, artisan salts, cleaner spice blends, etc. Youll be glad you stopped in, especially in summer for the local produce!

This is a great place!! The owner is very helpful and nice! If he doesnt carry something and you suggest it he will try to work with you. So much stuff at great prices> FYI he always has a huge amount of sprinkles and sugars for xmas cookie cake decorating. A must for natural living! And lots of baking and spices!!!!

This is an absolutely hidden gem in Lakewood (similar to Lakewood Hardware). A fantastic array of bulk food options from a natural perspective would, I guess, be the best way to describe it. Amongst other things, if you are in to baking, it has a well varied supply of flours.

Wonderful store and customer service. Great selection of cooking supplies: flours, grains, sprinkled, A2A2 milk, candy and nuts area with the best treats, herbs & spices, bacon, butter, fresh home grown veggies from their garden in season and much more. You need to check them out for sure!

Great prices for spices! This is the epitome of a local shop, providing little necessities for local customers. They cater to the local consumers who need basic goods and their prices are very reasonable. Customer service is top notch. Highly recommend.

Friendly service, the owner is very nice. they have some unique items you cant find anywhere else. The prices are competitive. My only complaint would be the items that are packaged by the owner arent dated, so you dont know how long they have been sitting on the shelf.

Pros: This is a cute yet small community grocer. While they don’t have everything you need, they do have plenty of the basics and necessities for cooking and baking. It’s reasonably priced and they’re always friendly and quick with their service.Cons: All products come in plastic. It would be nice to see them switching to bulk bins and people could use a reusable container. The other thing I notice is some of the food that is “healthy” is not healthy. Make sure you read the ingredients and understand what’s in your food before purchasing. It’s easy to mistake some of the products as healthy if you don’t understand product ingredients.

This is such a fun unique store in Lakewood. Love Amish bulk food stores but dont love the drive? Right here in the city you can stop in and get all your favorites from the Amish Country style bulk food store without the drive. You will also always find some unique extras as well from various local craftsman like homemade gingerbread kits at Christmas or locally made soap. My favorite store in Lakewood it is a MUST see if you havent been before.

Urban bulk is modeled after the Amish way.They buy bulk and break it down to inexpensive packages. They have milk with the cream cap in glass bottles and many other delights. The powdered soups are very good. I buy all my many flours there.

Urban Bulk Foods fills a grocery niche that was needed on Madison Avenue. Its perfect for running in to get enough flour for a cake, to get bacon and eggs, milk, and butter and cheese, or a mix for breads, whether whole grain, gluten free, quick or risen. The proprietors are friendly people who also supply fresh veggies in season from their garden, and if they dont sell a particular item, they can direct you to a local merchant that does!

Great little store with excellent local coffee (Bent Tree!) and food packaged in the size you need. Great for single people and couples because they have smaller containers of everything but their prices are good enough for families as well.

Small but rather complete set of offerings. Much of the products come from Amish businesses. So many cooking herbs spices and ingredients but there are also sweets and other snacks as well as some cheeses and more. If youre going through the area then check it out. Everything in there is well priced.
