I dont generally like to write bad reviews, but this one is deserving. The cooling unit died after one year. It kept freezing up and then the water would stop altogether.Avalon said that it couldnt be repaired and I had to buy a whole new unit, but they wouldnt cover it because it was one week out of warranty.I think its crazy that you cant even fix these and the only remedy is to buy a whole new one. Support acted like they were doing me a favor when they offered a discount off the purchase of a new one. I asked them why I would buy another one if this one lasted only a year.So, no, I wont be buying a new Avalon water dispenser. Ill be looking for a different company - one that builds a quality product that will last more than a year.

I just purchased an A10-TL water cooler. It looks very nice and seems to work well. Only one BIG issue: it is too short. Customer Support, which is great, told me that it is ADA compliant. The solution is a 10 base extension available for....$70!!!!!! However, they are out of stock. I guess Im not the only one thinking it is too short. The height should have been part of the marketing of the product so one knows to include another $70 to the cost of the system. I am going to apply for a refund.It is a couple of weeks since I posted the earlier review of 2 stars. Customer Support reached out to me to send me a base extension in response to our original discussions about the height issue. They appreciated my input and acknowledged it. As I wrote previously, Customer Support at Avalon is top notch.

My water dispensers hot water feature stopped working. I turned the unit around and there was a burnt red wire hanging down. Luckily it didnt cause a house fire. Avalon only offered a 15% discount on a new unit. Why would I pay more money for potentially the same problem?

I do not recommend buying this product. They are junk!In February 2020, I purchased a Avalon waterless water cooler, cost was over $200 and it lasted 7 months. Thinking that my problem was the 2 filters that are also very expensive, that did not also work. I contacted Avalon and they think you are an expert repair Technician in water coolers. As they expect you to tear it apart, to in their words try this or try that. Frustrated I gave up, I should have purchased a more reliable and well know product and company. I should have done my homework and would not have wasted my money on a piece of trash of a water cooler..
