Lakewood Appliance had the genuine factory part in stock and for a reasonable price (several dollars less than nearby competitor.) The courteous staff used a mask while serving me at the counter and kindly offered to dispose of the worn out part. Based on my experience today I have no hesitation in recommending Lakewood Appliance for genuine Maytag (Whirlpool) parts.

Went there with my Mom who purchased a microwave. I asked about a part for my portable dishwasher. In a flash he looked it up and called a parts store nearby that had it in stock so I didn’t even purchase from him. The big box store couldn’t solve it with multiple tries. Great service

I needed a new heating element today for my electric stove and searching online was a bit confusing with this particular part, not to mention online retailers had delayed shipping and were not very helpful in matching up the model number of my unit with the part I was trying to buy.One quick phone call to Lakewood Appliance solved that issue and I had the part in my hands and subsequently installed within the hour! They were very friendly and the price was very fair. I would definitely do business here in the future and was very happy to support a local business rather than a big company

Lakewood Appliance is amazing! In the height of COVID product limitations, they went above and beyond to replace my fridge that died, with what I really wanted, in very short time. They were honest, kind and extremely helpful. They will be my first call if any other appliance dies on me!

So I needed a new fridge and dishwasher. I looked at the usual websites like Lowes, Home Depot, and Best Buy. Talked to people there who sounded like they could care less if I bought anything from them. Also, found one fridge that would fit but I had to come to the store to buy it. Called Lakewood Appliance, they had what I needed, ordered it from a super helpful and friendly guy. Appliances were delivered and installed a few days later, everything was perfect and prices in line with the big stores.I will always call Lakewood Appliance for all my appliance needs.

Replacing my washer and dryer and I couldnt have asked for a better experience. I knew what I wanted, the easiest sale he made that day. They had them in stock, set up delivery for a week later. Delivery duo showed up early, wearing masks, and gave me a few minutes to clean area after they removed the old ones and before installing the new ones. They were very efficient, gone in under 30 minutes. Great job all around. Ill be back for my range when I need one.

I called on Monday as my Microwave stopped working..had it in stock and installed today. Kind ..professional and in and out in 25 min. I highly recommend these guys and will buy all my appliances from them. Thanks so much Lakewood Appliance!!!!!!

Great service fixing our fridge which had frozen in the bottom and warm up the top. They were upfront about rates, which were very reasonable. The fridge was fixed (burnt wiring) and it was repaired for a fraction of the cost of buying a new fridge.

These guys have been in business for over 50 years. Great reputation. Dont be fooled by the smallish show room. Their warehouse is in the basement. They also know how to repair appliances.

Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine bearing replacement. Lakewood Appliance came and provided a loner while repairs were done. First time was not a charm as stabilizing springs had weakened as the bearing degraded. Lakewood returned to troubleshoot the balance problem until it was satisfactory. Repair was far less than a new machine and it should now last for years performing as new.

My parents have been getting all of their appliances here since 1986. Always get a good price, treated well, and any time there has been an issue they take care of it. As for my buying my first washer and dryer for the new house. Thank you Lakewood Appliance.

EXCELLENT customer service!! And Honest! I NEVER do this! Honestly, I usually only go out of my way to write reviews when Ive had a bad experience, but I had a fantastic experience today getting a part for my washer, not only did they save me the huge $$$ by not paying someone to come out to my house, they went above and beyond and actually showed me exactly how to take apart my washer and put the part in. Now my washer is working, and I am one happy camper!! And to boot, it was only a $35 part! If only my deployed husband could see me now!!

They really need to work on their CUSTOMER SERVICE, keyword here is CUSTOMER! I have been having trouble with the oven on my gas stove, the landlord called these people. They called me before 9 am on the day of the appointment (that I wasnt aware of, landlords fault for this part) and stated they would arrive after 1:00pm. I told them that this wasnt convenient and they could come the next day, man on the phone said no that wouldnt work for them (pardon me, wouldnt want to inconvenience them). I said fine and he suggested Tuesday of the following week, I said fine, what time, he said they would be here between 1:00 & 3:00 pm, I made a comment about did they think they were the cable company? I said fine. They called before 9:00 am this morning confirming they would be here between 2:00 & 4:00 pm, I asked what happened to 1:00 & 3:00 and he basically called me a liar and said that they would never quote a time a week in advance. If I had a choice I would have told him to forget it. Man on the phone was very rude both times I spoke to him. I personally would not recommend them just for their abysmal customer service alone. Also, I wish I could give them minus stars.

Stopped by this morning and the shop was closed. Stopped by again this afternoon . Still closed. Went online after calling and getting no answer. Saw that there are plans to move. Approximately 50 years in the same location. I need a replacement part!!Recently found out the long term owner was injured in an accident and decided to retire. Great guy. A wonderful person to do business with. Will miss this Mom and Pop that excelled in honest and sales. Crew Members running it and they have reopened.

We have been using Lakewood appliance for every appliance weve owned or needed repaired since 1978. Ron (and before that his dad) and the staff are the best!! Their knowledge base cant be beat. We even continued to use them when we moved out of the area. I wish there were more stars to offer than five!!! Use this company with confidence.

Our dryer stopped working, so I took out the thermal fuse and took into their shop. Dennis quickly checked out the fuse and informed me that it worked, and that wasnt the problem. So I brought it in after I couldnt fix it, and they had our dryer fixed the same day for $90.00.Very clean store and straight up honest people. I highly recommend this place. Thanks to the entire staff, for i must of talked with all of them, and all of them where pleasant and easy to talk with.Mark

Very friendly and knowledgeable. Too bad most of these types of places are slowly going away. Big box stores just dont provide the level of service you get with small businesses like Lakewood.

If I could leave 0 I would. These people ripped my 78 year old grandmother. She had issues with her refrigerator freezing items. It was warrantied by whirlpool they tore it down and 3 weeks later they returned the unit. Now its doing the same thing and the owner of the Lakewood appliance says she had a heating issue not cooling issue. Shes old but not incompetent. They told her to screw off. Do not do business with these crooks.

Very rude! Just had Lakewood Appliance come out to fix something on my oven that was UNDER WARRANTY. It took 10 minutes at most. Was told we would just be charged a labor fee. When he handed me the bill there was a labor fee ($30) plus a $70 service call fee that we were told nothing about. Called the store to find out what the fee was about and the man I spoke to was completely rude. We should have been told about the bonus fee....could have fixed it ourself for much less. A little customer service goes along way. Will never go back to purchase anything there. Disappointing.

Called on phone looking for simple dyer door latch, was told repair kit was about $3 and in stock. When i showed up to purchase found kit was wrong but was given the right part off a floor model at no cost ie FREE just for the inconvenience. Employee wouldnt even let me pay the $3 of kit. Definitely going back to this place for future repairs.

New ownership. Rude. Apparently does not want to go out-of-the-way to get business. Badmouth certain brands that they dont carry. Previous owners were great. New ones need training or they will be out of business in one year. Ill never go back. Ive passed this on to all my friends and neighbors.

Beware. Technician came to house, said he pushed in the plug all the way and charged $75.00. The following day dryer still doesnt work. Obviously he did not look very hard to find the problem. Waited until after holidays and set another appointment. Their Technician called prior to arriving. I saw the call but was on other line, Im thinking, Great he is on his way .. After the no show I called and he got lippy. If you dont take the reminder call they will not come to house. Im out $75.00 and still dont have a dryer

After I called Lakewood Appliance, explaining that the timer on my washing machine needed to be replaced, their service tech arrived with no replacement part. He tested my washer for about 5 minutes and verified that the problem was as I stated; then he said the parts are no longer available so I would have to buy a new washer. I wasnt willing to do that. I found a new part online and had it installed by someone else. When I call with accurate information about why my appliance doesnt work and I need someone to repair the machine, I expect the service tech to come prepared to fix it and finish the job that day. I dont have time or money for a second or third call to fix it especially when its a simple problem, and I shouldnt be charged for a service call just so the tech can make a sales pitch. I told them on the phone what the problem was so they should have known before sending the tech whether they could get a replacement part. Our family has done business with Lakewood Appliance for years but since the new owner came, we have taken our business elsewhere.

They were very fast in fixing my dryer, but charged me 188$ to replace a heater element ?!? Outrageous pricing . Then there was a 20$ tax . So Im from Oregon and I told them I wanted to get tax exempt . They refused to give it to me and they were rude in dodge my so . I would not recommend coming to this establishment to buy anything or get any services done
