I went to Walmart for a new prescription. When I arrived, I was told my insurance wasnt part of their system. Wrong. I called my insurance and Walmart received a code to be able to process my insurance plan. This took 20 minutes.Was able to get in and have my exam. Went very well. Dr. Loehr was very professional.After my exam I started looking for a new pair of frames and was told that I owed $44 from last January. I requested a copy of the bill so that I could see the backup for what they were telling me. They could not provide the backup and told me they could mail it to me. I always pay my bills. But, I am not paying for something from a year ago without documentation.So, after waiting for 20 minutes to get my insurance figured out and then completing an exam, I am told that until last years bill it is paid, I also cannot get new glasses. Now, I have to wait for them to send me a copy of the bill from 12 months ago before they will help me with new glasses. Did I pay the co-pay today, no. Once they send me the information to prove what I owe, I will need to go back again to order my prescription.Very frustrating!!! This will be the last time I use walmart.
We bought a pair of glasses for my son, within a couple months the screw broke causing the lens to fall out, they were happy to fix the screw however this exact thing happened another 4 times every couple months, the frames were replaced after the third time and then within a few months the same thing happened. They were unwilling to do anything further even though clearly there was an issue with the quality of the frames. I will never return to Walmart vision center again and would not recommend them at all!
I was happy with the personal service I received here. Steve knows a ton about glasses. Jeff, the vision center manager is pretty nice to sit and chat with, and overall the prices are great.
Stopped in to get new nose pads and the person who put them on first put 2 different ones on, then when he went to change one, put a giant scratch down the center of my lens. Never going back.
Very helpful and friendly staff. Glasses came within a week.
