Great customer service and practices safe covid protocols to keep customers safe.
This store has been absolutely wonderful in the last year with their handling of covid. Not only are they still taking it seriously, which sadly means only the front room is open for purchasing, but they have been kind and understanding to people who need other accommodations for both health and safety reason. As a collector, I respect their limitations on certain products so all customers can buy.
People here are amazing! They r very careful with health and safety of everyone which I love. Lots of cool table top and old video games very fun store.
World of Games 2.0 is one of the best game stores ever. It’s super kid friendly! I saw the owner, Jason, go above and beyond to help some kids looking for Pokemon cards. As they were checking out he brightened their day even more by giving them each Pokémon stickers and a Pokémon book! They have a huge selection of old school video game systems, the BEST prices you can get anywhere- especially on Magic The Gathering cards, and the owners are the nicest people ever and actually care about their customers and it shows with the number of regular customers they have. Hands down you should go visit and support this local gaming store!
If 2.0 is any indication of how 1.0 was. No wonder they had to get a smaller location. COVID brought the worst out of people, and Red Beard behind the counter was no exception. There is better prices, and better people elsware. Do not. For ANY reason. Give this trash your money. The level of disrespect shown from my first visit. Was also my last.
Very friendly staff and cool collection sealed Pokemon. Picked up a couple booster packs today and got a secret rare :)
Very helpful, knowledgeable, and great owners. Highly recommended.
Employee helped even when I wasnt being super clear at the start of our interaction, very polite, wide selection and did everything he could to help. 10/10 would come again
Great customer service. I was looking for a Wii U and this was the only place who had one in stock. We got the game system home and realized the previous owner didnt reset the settings. So World of Games was very helpful in getting us on track to have a up and running operating system. Thank you! Very helpful and answer any questions via fb messenger very promptly!
Great job on resurfacing my video game discs they load way faster now thanks.
Just as bad as the 1.0. Lol
Awesome store!
Most friendly place on earth when it comes to playing magic the gathering. World of games creates an awesome environment for people of any skill level to have fun while playing mtg. Been a regular off and on for 3 going on 4 years
I have been stopping and shopping here since the original xbox was the new console on the block. The staff is wonderfully helpful. They have an extensive knowledge of all things gaming. I absolutely love this store. Over several years and hundreds of transactions I have always been given honest help and advice, offered fair prices in all purchases and found something I hadnt expected. My online purchases have been great too, just prefer the brick and mortar.
Great shop! MTG, DnD, boardgames, retro video games, supplies. Small assortment of comics and toys.Staff is super nice and helpful. They have stayed open after hours more than once so I could make a run to grab needed items.Lots of room for gaming in the back.Go check them out! Stay for a game or grab some packs. Have fun.
Its a fun place to go to escape all of the other corporate grips on the gaming industry when it comes to used and new games. World of Games is just a fun place to shop. The staff is knowledgeable when it comes to games, board games, computers, trading cards, and comics. And they ACTUALLY care about what they sell you, making sure that you will be happy with your purchase. Lastly I just love the care that they put into their used content. From buffing all of the used games just like new and making sure that their products are clean and ready to use. I can recommend World of Games to anyone who is a collector of retro consoles/games or to someone trying to get their hands on the latest releases.
Fun store! Lots of variety. They have video games, including a few rare ones behind the counter, collectible figurines, trading cards, comics, gaming books and even some adorable plushies from a local source! Staff greets you immediately, offers you assistance, and is knowledgeable about their variety of merchandise. They dont hover and force you to speak with them though, which is great since theres a lot to peruse here.
A local shop with lots of character to satisfy classic video game, Magic, and other collectable needs. The owner is very nice, and I like stopping in to see how stock has shifted each time Im in the area.
At first I was skeptical when I heard the original owner Phil had left and that there were new owners, but my concerns were quickly eradicated when I visited a few months ago to find that the new owners were some of the nicest people Ive encountered in a store. They are also working to make the place more welcoming to women and people who may have felt a bit alienated by the atmosphere in the past, which is really nice to see and gives the store a breath of fresh air in a way.
This place is AMAZING!!! Great customer service and a variety of products.
Good store with great prices on cards. Plenty of table room in the back for playing card games and video games up in the front. Ive been going to this store for 7 years and have never had a bad experience. Staff is always ready to answer questions about games and helpful. I highly recommend this store.
Always a breath of fresh air when a gaming store is an all around gaming store. From a PS4 bundle, all the way back to a Caleco vision bundle, and a little of everything between. Not just the super expensive hard to find, but simple exciting finds within a casual gamer budget. It has one of the most varied collection of video games in the greater metro. A wide selection of card based games (Im not familiar with those games). And of course board games, from the newest table top games, to various collector board games. FINALLY, a game store that proudly sells the games we look for, they had the Spy vs Spy board game from the 80s. Board games from the 80s based on video games, retro games that are hard to find. Its about time a store can get on board that people do look for these kind of games. Thanks World of Games for including ALL gaming enthusiasts! We will be back.
The store itself was pretty cool, found a few console games we hadnt heard of before. The 2 guys working seemed a little awkward and barely spoke to us while we were there. Not necessarily rude, just awkward? Either way it was a cute place, would still recommend
Made a trip to store to see if they would take a trade in of a PS3 accessory and also with an intent to shop and see what they have for older video game systems. When I came up to the trade in counter they refused to acknowledge that I was there and when I started speaking the guy behind the counter acted as if it was a huge burden to be asked a question. He then when on to tell me he would not take the accessory in a very rude way. At that point I left the store without looking at any games and will not be returning. All it would have taken is a little politeness and you could have had a sale and potential returning customer. Too bad looking at a piece of paper on the desk was much more important.
Great for vintage and current video games and systems. Huge selection of MTG. Unfortunately, I misinterpreted their photos and thought they had more in the table top RPG realm. Will visit again.
Excellent store with a fantastic stock of old sealed MTG products. Great people, recommend highly!
I purchased Pokemon products with them one time via curbside pickup. Had limited interaction. (We said hello & thanked them for the product and that was it.) Now I am blocked on Facebook without explanation or reason.
I just moved from out of state and was interested in what the store had to offer. Tons of vintage gaming system consoles, games, board games, and of course magic the gathering singles and booster packs. Staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly and the store has a lot to offer. I will definitely be becoming a regular here
This place is just awesome. We brought our kids on for Pokemon Cards and they were the cheapest in the area. They also have vintage games and an awesome area in back setup with tables where kids of all ages can play card games. Very family friendly and a wonderful addition to the community! I highly recommend World of Games.
Great time and amazing staff! Love this place! Always makes you feel right at home!!
Always like looking through here, usually have some cool stuff and always have cool older console accessories
Sells more than just video games, if you are looking for board games, look here. Also caries a very nice collection of trading cards.
I really like this store. They have a lot of unusual items - I never know what I am going to find. It is well worth the trip.
I love local game shops, but I wont upgrade to Five Stars unless they start carrying Yu-Gi-Oh cards
There is no better place to go for used games, collectables and comics. The staff will do whatever they can to help you get what you want and at a good price. Ive tried level up n so forth n will go no where else.
Great selection of games! They staff are extremely nice. One time I was a few cents off, and they paid them for me! Great little place, for people of all ages!
Amazing selection of old school games and comic books. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable about the product they are selling. If you do manage to stump them they are more than willing to help you find an answer or solution.
Place is dope. Phil is great. Local crowd is super friendly. What else do you want from an lgs?
Lots for every type of nerd (like myself). Gaming content both modern & classic, plushies, arcade machines, DnD, board games, and Magic The Gathering cards. Absolutely awesome!
Worst service Ive ever had over the phone, called five times over a half hour and no one ever answered. ANY service wouldve been better than none. Turning down business by the phone call. And the few of you expecting me to be calling AFTER four are completely wrong, I was calling around 2:50/3:00 P.M.and never was I put on hold or asked to wait.
Great experience! Friendly staff, lots of selections and great prices!
Great place for all my geek needs! I visit every time I am in MN.
Been here a few times. Staff always friendly and helpful! Great place to find video games and cards!
Great place to find older games as well as new games and systems.
Awesome place! Great selection of video games and they host all sorts of card game tournaments.
Awesome experience! Had a good time looking at all the retro gaming stuff.
People are always nice and friendly, they hold casual and competitive events as well. Only reason I stray from 5 stars is that the prices on many games are much over what you can find at other places.
Awesome store, lots of variety, amazing assortment of games, cards, and old school gotta have items Thanks Amy and Jason
Cheap games, nice owner, and its a lot of fun being there. Its a better gamestop.
Its a great environment the staff is vary helpfull
My sons favorite store. People are very helpful!
Staffed by helpful and awesome people. A nice casual place to hang out and play some games
Great atmosphere, great selection. Phil is awesome and Jason and Amy are very hands on owners who really get to know their customers.
Way better than Gamestop. I used to use Gamestop until my brother found this place on Google. The staff is phenomenal, the games are great, and the selection is massive. Would recommend to anyone who even remotely likes games, fantastic place.
Fair prices, cool store with a couple of arcades, and friendly service
Not sure why people are saying the employees are rude because Ive been going to this place for several years and have never once seen/heard an employee treat anyone even remotely disrespectfully. Heck, theyve time and again gone out of their way to accommodate me(and other customers). The store has a great selection of video games(new and old), card games and board games. If youre looking for comics or collectibles the selection is good but not great. The prices on games can be hit or miss. The store itself is a bit messy but Im sure that wont bother some people. All in all Id say its a great store, Anyone complaining about rude employees is probably full of crap or was rude to the employees and got the treatment they deserved.
Outstanding selection of classic and modern video games and systems, as well as a good collection of boardgames. World of Games runs recurring gaming events as well. The one area where I was disappointed in was the comic section. They had a decent selection of new titles but their back issue boxes where on shelves in cubby holes. Customers had to pull long boxes out of the cubby holes that were sometimes above head level in order to peruse the boxes.
Awesome place! Knowlegeable staff and probably the best selection of geeky goods out there!
Super friendly staff and amazing selection of merchandise. Worth a visit everytime.
Has all kinds of games. Tons of retro games and consoles. Also tons of board and card games of all kinds. Great service with a knowledgeable staff.
I bought $3.25 of some Pokémon cards its neat and has a wide selection of cards.
The dude who works there is not very nice to younger kids and he always is pretty rude to
This is something right out of a Game Chasers or Flea Market Madness video.Great selections, a huge amount of boxed games on the wall and lose nes, snes and n64 games on an island. They also have a few stacks of manuals for various platforms.Prices are great, and the owner is still willing to make a deal.Only criticism I can give; instead of wrapping the boxed games in plastic, use plastic cases. I passed on a few items due to my lack of understanding the difference between sealed and open games.
Boasting an impressive selection of videogames, comics, and tabletop games World of Games has been my go to place for years.
Good service, great prices!
Friendly and helpful and you cant find better prices in the the Twin Cities area. Also for someone in a wheelchair they are very accommodating
Nice small gaming store. Friendly people.
Nice local place to play Magic, Game, and they have tons of retro games
Owned by a great group of guys and they have good prices on used equipment as well as trade-ins.
I bought a NES with 6 games there and it wasn’t working. I brought it in the same day and they swapped it out and now it’s working perfectly.
Some good deals on MTG cards
Great selection and the staff is always happy to help.
Great atmosphere and customer service
I go to this store every other Friday to get my Magic needs. I only play at home because I am slightly intimidated by the thought of Friday Night Magic. The staff is always encouraging to have us stay and watch, someday....
Cool shop, had fun playing Tuesday Modern.
They have a little bit of everything, but theyre not the best at anything. They have an area in the back for card games such as Magic the Gathering and Pokemon. The have a small selection of all different used video games - from DS to Xbox One, Sony Playstation and Nintendo.
Great place friendly staffAlways a good time
They fixed my xbox 360! Excellent customer service and great work. Its worth the drive for anyone looking for xbox 360 repair or even computer repair. Tons of games and collectables and a real feeling of a small town shop. I highly recommend anyone looking to stop in and check them out. Support your local businesses and go see what they have.
Welcoming atmosphere, cool little shop 👍😁
Really cool store with nice staff. Used to go here all the time when I lived in Lakeville.
Best place to buy what you need, from the old nentendo to the Wii, from old DS games to the Xbox 360/One! And the best part, all the games are reasonably price unlike other game stores!
Cool place with a knowledgeable and friendly staff.
Best game store in Minnesota.
Always helpful, good prices, and very friendly!
Nerd out, worth a visit!
Very friendly staff with plenty of humor! Best retro store this side of the Mississippi!
Its the bomb digg-a-ty
A whole world of games? No. But like maybe a country of games.
Great place and friendly people
Helpful employees, nice store, tons of cards
Theyre pretty neato!
Terrible store spent thousands of dollars for them and they are ripping people off charging more than smtp on their products
Great older magic packs
I like that I can get old school game as certain places
Good hobby shop.
Helpful and enjoyable staff
A must go to place for your Comic Books!
Really cool spot!
Lol, that Cody guy has obviously never done a $10 draft
