We are very happy with the body work and alignment that Crystal Lake Automotive did on our 2021 Nissan Frontier. We were at the end of a long road trip with our new truck when the accident happened. The service advisor, JC, was very professional and personable, and their shop did incredible work. All the lines are clean between the hood and front quarter panel. Crystal Lake Automotive was one of many suggested by State Farm to consider for collision repairs on my truck and was so pleased that I decided to enlist their services. I seldom do reviews and it has been quite some time since the work but they are the absolute best! A special thanks to Michael who was my point of contact, addressing any and all questions or concerns I had throughout the entire process. From Kelly pleasantly greeting me at the front desk to Michael walking me through job completion, it was nothing less than full on professionalism, efficiency, politeness, respect, and concern for me as the customer. It was also a very convenient bonus to have the rental car office next door that simplified this issue besides. I work in customer service myself everyday and in a world where top notch service can be an elusive thing, they nailed it! I was blown away by the service at Crystal Lake Automotive. I brought my vehicle to them for collision repair simply because they have a contract with my car insurance and I didnt have a preferred shop, however I think theyve turned me into a lifelong customer. Repairs only took them 2.5 days. I was called each day with updates until it was complete. I love that they dont leave you guessing on what the total cost or services will be like other shops/dealerships often do. The best part was returning to a SPOTLESS vehicle! And I mean spotless! Completely unexpected, but greatly appreciated. Overall 10/10 shop that goes above and beyond expectations for their customers.

Better than factory work, excellent updates from the team. Kim and the staff were great! I was so anxious, when I saw it I was so relieved.

I had a large object crush my windshield at the beginning of July and was directed to use Crystal Lake Automotive to get my repairs. The repairs went fine. However right after I left I noticed there was a largely distorted imperfection in my line of sight. I called to let them know about the problem still almost 3 and a half months later they have yet to do anything to fix the issue. Hopefully, if you choose them to work on your vehicle nothing goes wrong with your repairs they dont seem to motivated to take responsibility but rather push you off and hope you forget.

I have been using Crystal Lake Automotive for over 30 years. It used to be called Twin City Auto. There is still currently one employee there from the original shop. His name is Al and he is now a service manager. He recently moved from the mechanic shop to his current position.The other day I needed an oil change and was experiencing a brake issue. Just like always the mechanics at Crystal Lake are real pros. They are experienced and if they don’t know exactly what the issue may be, they research and ask fellow mechanics.I am always treated with respect and courtesy. I know using Crystal Lake Automotive I will get a great value with the services they have for any one of my vehicles.

We have gone to Crystal Lake Automotive many times for maintenance and collision repairs for years and we have always had exceptional service. For our most recent maintenance service, they were able to fix a problem with our brakes that we had since we had them done at a dealership two years earlier. The dealership looked at the brakes a couple of times after they were originally done since they were squealing after the brakes were done, but they couldnt determine why they were squealing. Crystal Lake Automotive was able to fix the problem on our first visit. Al kept us updated on their progress as they tried to determine what the issue was. We also worked with Mike and Kellie and all three of them are great to work with.

Great place for both body work and service work. Weve had all our cars there for the last 10 years. Theyre busy, and their schedule is tight, but they are great about communicating progress and getting work done on time once they set a date.

Brought in my 2016 Ford Explorer after my wife slide off the road and bumped a few things lol. Their communication, attention to detail, and workmanship were fantastic. They did a great job and I will definitely be using them again if the need arises.

Mike Brasher and Crystal Lake Automotive were outstanding. I brought my truck in for collision repair, and they made the whole process absolutely painless. I went to 2 other shops, and the customer service alone made me choose them. The estimator, Mike, explained everything to me, kept me in the loop the whole time, and dealt with insurance so I didnt have to worry at all. My truck was back to me in 4 days, and they had cleaned it inside and out. The area they worked on was perfect, and the body and paint were flawless. Color was exact match, no orange peel, and the body lines were straight. I would recommend them to anyone.

We recently had insurance work done here on both cars. (Hail damage.) They were very helpful and went out of their way to help us. They worked directly with our insurance company and with the rental car company. There was a delay due to the manufacturer providing the wrong parts but Crystal Lake Auto made sure we were able to keep using the rental car for no charge even with the delay. I was so very impressed with the service I received on my 2014 Jeep.I was greeted as soon as I came through the front door and directed toMike. He was so friendly and helpful. I was pretty upset as I been rear ended earlier in the day. He reassured me that I would get quick, quality service. He walked me through the process and made sure I got my rental car with no problems. A few days later I came back to pick up my vehicle and was very happy with the work that was done. Mike made sure that I was completely satisfied with my experience. He also went above and beyond by checking out a sound I was hearing, unrelated to the accident, and gave me his opinion. Had a car accident passenger side damage both doors and flat rear tire. State Farm recommended this shop so I had it towed directly there. The process is a bit different with Cov-19 so I was not able to enter shop. No biggy. Kim, car estimator came to meet me outside. She gave me all the details and emailed the estimate as well as time to completion.I picked car up, received the paper work. Body work and paint is excellent . Can not tell anything happened at all. And it’s a tricoat pearl white paint.Great experience all the way through.I found out they are a family owned business and they also do oil changes.They will get my business from now on.Thank you for taking care of our Road Trip SUVPat and Deb

I got my brakes done on my 2005 Nissan Titan a couple months back. I have never used Crystal Lake Automotive before but I had heard good things. I was blown away by the customer service! Nate took great care of me. He gave me all of my options and did not push extras on me. When a problem arose in the middle of my repair he again approached me with options and even took me into the shop to show me the broken part. While they didnt have the part on hand he ordered it and had it delivered in less then a half hour. I cant say enough good things about Nate and Crystal Lake Automotive. I will be bringing all my vehicles here in the future. Thank you !!!

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR VEHICLE AFTER SERVICEGot in an accident and chose to bring my vehicle to Crystal Lake Automotive for convenience of where I live and rental vehicle proximity. Well that is were the good parts of this experience comes to an end. I got my vehicle back around the 20 something day estimate as finished. As I picked up the vehicle and began to drive around I noticed that the vehicles back end would sway when going over bumps. Then when i got home to back up in the driveway my back up camera was not functioning properly. The screen was showing interference with the picture and would sometimes take 10 to 15 seconds to clear up. (very noticeable if they just would have looked at it). Then the next morning I go to reach for the door handle (side that was damaged) and the passive entry system didnt unlock the car. As frustration mounted I reached back out to them and asked to have them look at it. They looked at it while as I waited and came to a conclusion to tell me to go to the Chrysler Dealership to finish the repairs on the car.... It took the Chrysler Dealer over 30 days to fix the vehicle and that whole time i was in a rental. So $2K later for the rental you would assume the company (Crystal Lake) would understandingly reimburse me for that expense I incurred due to their negligence. But instead I was told that they would have been able to fix all those problems in a couple days. So why didnt they just fix them then?? Unfortunately I dont have the time to deal with this to make it right, its just to bad that they take advantage of people like me.

I took my car here after my the side of my garage decided to attack it. Ended up needing a new door. The entire process was easy peasy. Customer service was great with EVERYONE I dealt with throughout the process. Timelines were met and communication was frequent. Could not endorse more!

Great experience here getting auto body work done on an insurance claim. They made the process a piece of cake, and even helped with contacting the insurance company that was not the most responsive to me. Most impressed with how fast everything was - the day I dropped of my car, the rental car rep was waiting for me and it took all of 5 minutes to drop off my car and head off in the rental. Picking my car up at the end took even less time!My only complaint is the communication in regards to the timing of completion of work. I was originally told a certain day, and received daily texts indicating the work was on track for that day. Then 2 days before the anticipated date, I received a call at 3pm notifying me my car was done and needed to be picked up immediately or Id be charged for an extra rental day. This was a big inconvenience as I was across town at work, and had a class that evening.

Crystal Lake Auto stays true to their statement to go above and beyond. My 2006 Jetta had to be serviced there due to rust warranty from VW. During the entire process Gregg was extremely friendly and kind. He always called me to update me on the progress and got my vehicle back to me as soon as possible. After receiving my car back I called with some minor adjustment and Gregg took care of me right away with no delay. The entire staff team was friendly and knowledgeable. They will forever have my business if I ever need them for anything else. Highly recommend this establishment.

Honest, helpful, great service, incomparable price. They help you understand exactly whats wrong and exactly whats being done.

The work was fine and people were friendly enough, but after our insurance refused payment for some of the work needed, we were on the hook for a small (less than $150) balance. We were obviously frustrated, but our frustration was with our insurance company, not the shop. At least, it was until Crystal Lake Automotive refused to let us pay via debit/credit card, claiming they have been burned in the past with people cancelling checks or disputing payments. They required us to pay in cash. Too shady for our business. I will never again recommend or voluntarily network with a company that is so incredibly disrespectful to its patrons. Either accept cards or dont, but you dont get to pick and choose WHO you accept cards from.

Ive taken my car to Crystal Lake Automotive for several years & have always had excellent service. From oil changes to new brakes, my car has received top notch service. The staff is always friendly & very knowledgeable on the mechanics of my car. The waiting area has free coffee & Wi-Fi to make the time pass with ease. I’ve also used the late night drop off a few times & it always goes smoothly. While I’ve never had to leave my car for more than a day, Hertz has an office conveniently located inside Crystal Lake. I will continue to have my car serviced at Crystal Lake Automotive & would recommend them to anyone!

I originally sent them an email asking a few questions about a vehicle that looked quite good to my wife and I. In return, I get this terribly written automated response that did not answer my questions at all. I write back to them, like the automation says to do, and I get nothing. 4 days later I get another automated response, stating that they havent heard from me and if there is anything they can do or answer, just let them know. Customer Service has ZERO to do with automation. They have lost the sale of the vehicle I was looking at and all future transactions. If I wanted to deal with a computer’s empty replies, I would call and press buttons with Comcast.

My family was driving home to Nebraska when our check engine light came on. So we found crystal lake via google and when we called they were super nice and took our surburban back right away. Picked them cause of closeness and their appearance. Doreen was super friendly and they had a great lobby with clean bathrooms(weird to say but with a family of five sitting in a grungy repair place wouldn’t have gone over well.). They had water, WiFi for the kids, and caribu coffee for us!They had the part in stock and had us on the road in about an hour and a half.Clean, comfortable, and friendly. Honestly I wish more repair shops were like them.Thank you for your incredible service in a very unplanned situation.

I had damage to my Durango after being broadsided and Crystal Lake did a wonderful job on repairing the damage. My Durango drives like and looks like it never had been hit.The only thing I could think they can improve on is communication. That is it.However, when I got my Durango back, it was spotless. They even sprayed out the floor mats.
