Took a while in line to finally get through the 3 customers ahead of me, but I had called ahead and had my part on hold, so my transaction was pretty quick. I was worried the window regulator was damaged as the box was pretty beat up and looked re-taped up. But it was ok luckily and it worked.

Waste of time, they could not find me the correct battery. The cashier just gave me a refund instead of trying to find the correct one. I went to OReilly an omg the employee gave me the exact battery with a better warranty. Flor was nice but the staff does not care for auto zone.

Came in for a Battery & Alternator test, I don’t know the guys name but he was so helpful in running the test and helped replace the battery in our Car. He even offered to run the Alternator test again because the old battery couldn’t even run the test. 10/10

I cant quite put my finger on it, why this of the many, many Autozone stores in San Diego. This one has to be my new favorite.They are well stocked in areas where other AutoZone stores lack.I.E their detailing section was great. I had no idea the stuff available to just clean your vehicles. Not to mention painting, waxing, it was a rabbit hole.The guys working the counter were gruff but loads of fun. They are who you would expect to be helping you at AutoZone. They had little tips for the job I had to embark upon. It just took me back to a time when poking fun at each other wasnt a crime, people did their job happily and were dang good at it too. No matter what position the job, people took pride in what they were doing.Thanks guys. Was an amazing trip back in time. Dont stop what your doing!!!!!!!!

Just average. Went in at about 7pm and they had allot of employees just standing around. It is a wonder how much hourly overhead that is. Everything else is normal.

My husband and I come here a lot. We have always received great service. Giovanni, Stephen, Cynthia, Jose, and all the other guys who are helpful but I dont talk to enough to remember their names are all great!! (like the one with colored hair). There is onenewguy though who is next to useless. I witnessed them trying to teach him how to run register and he couldnt even do a straightforward sell. He doesnt know how to find anything, and has the worst customer service Ive seen in a while. I love everyone else that works here, and they almost always have what we need. The hubby and I are moving soon, and I will miss this crew.Thanks guys for being so great!!

I cannot say enough in regards to their customer service! They have a manager in training Rebecca Dodd and this young lady was able to assess, recommend, remove, and replace my battery without any hesitation or problem.

Lacking Cutomer service and COVID safety regulations. No masks on some sales associates and did not know how to source parts. I had to personally source part #14890 bolt on Autozone website on my own phone. Associates were rude and standing around not helping customers.

I went there and worked with Adam to get wipers for my car,He not only helped me get the right ones he went out of his way and installed them for me to make sure they would work.He is what customer service is all about.I would ask for him if you need anything!!Thank you Adam

These guys were nice, quick and helpful. Free battery charging. I gave them them a 4/5 because although most of them were helpful, there was one guy sticking shelves that was less than helpful. Good thing the more experienced guys at the counter made up for it.

Update 11/20. Adam was very helpful in trying to help me find my hose for my BMW X5. He couldn’t find it because his computer didn’t have the diagram. He still tried to Google it for me and made every attempt to find it. This is great customer service and I really appreciated him at least trying all he could. He was friendly and professional. Made my visit helpful even though we couldn’t find the issue.They have some confusing adverstising and promotions. I understand how they work and they are still misleading any way you slice it. You are supposed to get something free with purchase yet it ends up just being a discount that doesn’t even fully cover the so called free items. They do have good stuff but it is overpriced. They cannot match wal mart pricing, which Ok I understand. The issue is that they can’t even come within 15$ of Walmart’s price. At that much of a cost difference, I will make the drive to wal mart next time.Alex and David were super helpful. I came in with a question about my Lug Nuts. They took the time to help me get them off the car and measured. I felt like my issue mattered to them and since then I have been back twice. Speaking for myself I really like having an Autozone where everybody is cool. It’s fun for me to shop there already. When the associates are cool it makes the experience that much better.

I had an amazing experience at this store. Christian and Alphonse went above and beyond to help me fix the tail light on my car. A local dealership quoted me almost $1000 for the same repair or replacement. It turns out it was just a loose contact/connection that was identified and fixed by Christian and Alphonse, free of charge. And the tail lights I have are state-of-the-art LED which are not easy to access. So these guys definitely know what they are doing and it was extremely kind of them to take the time to look into it. They also helped me test and charge my car battery, once again, free of charge. Their only intention is to help. I cant stress enough how grateful I am and I highly recommend this store to everyone!

Went to the AutoZone on Main first they were helpful and friendly and told me I could find the small part I needed in this location (Lakeside) so I went, the lady I first asked for help was extremely rude and racist, she didn’t even wanted to help me so she just passed me on to her coworker. The man that checked me out and helped me get the part was alright....

BETTER TRAINING NEEDEDI started writing but realized I would have a two page review if I kept going Long story short.Autozone Oriellys and 90% of all counter personnel are untrained, undertrained mismanaged etc.In my 40+ yrs of doing “every facet “ of automotive jobs. But the state of the parts stores has continued to erode. My latest encounter was almost enough to make me walk out leaving my purchases on the counter. The lakeside ca store is mismanaged poor training and belligerent attitudes abound.If I didn’t have my poway store(that I have been working to improve for 2+ yrs) I would have stopped going to Autozone and pulled my commercial account.I’m done. And this is quick review lol

Helpful staff

If you know EXACTLY what you need I recommend them. BUT if you need actual help finding something or they have to be bothered to walk out from behind the counter for a minute, youre out of luck. Much better off driving the 1/2 mile to OReillys down the stree .

Good people here, always very helpful. The lines can be a bit long but that happens at all auto shop stores I think just due to people needing to look parts up and so forth. I recommend them for sure.

The gentlemen that help me was extremely helpful. I wish I could remember his name. He even looked under my hood to verify I was purchasing the correct part and allowed me to borrow a tool.

My cars headlight went out so I purchased a new bulb. One of the guys there went above and beyond and installed it for me. I was driving out of town for work so it was very much appreciated. Decent price, friendly service.

I used to love this chain. Now, not so much. Looking for a washer for the lower shock mount. No hardware but many options if I wanted ground effects or pretty lug nut caps.

Waited for an employee to come outside to identify a part I pointed at because I didn’t know the name. He came out looked and said we could look it up. I shut my hood and came in and proceeded to watch him help another customer find a socket set. Then take that customer ahead of line to ring them up. I walked out after 10 minutes of my time wasted. Really tired of the poor service in San Diego lately. Won’t be back. Looking for better service somewhere else. That’s just rude.

This time I struck out! But, I ALWAYS SHOP at AutoZone! Its my favorite auto parts store! Great prices- SMART STAFF!

I come here a lot for my car parts and have for years. On the fundamental side of things, extremely reliable and quick to get what I need even if its not in stock. That being said, most of the new staff seem to REALLY hate their job and arent very pleasant to deal with. Ive actually had someone go to lunch in the middle of processing my transaction, without even saying a word to me or anyone. BUT, the reason I still give it four stars is because Ross is the man, he knows what hes talking about and is ALWAYS a joy to work with. Hes literally all of my friends favorite worker at this AutoZone.

I was in the store for approximately 15 minutes looking for various items and was never asked if I needed help. I finally asked one guy for help and his response was, follow me. Not, let me show you or Ill get those for you. During the visit I overheard an employee talk about her pregnancy 3 times to different people including other employees and never acknowledged my presence. When I rang out, the manager asked if I was in the military or just wearing the shirt (a marine corps t-shirt). I am a former mechanic and know how not to treat customers and this store failed miserably.

Some of the staff is really knowledgeable, some dont really have a clue. Its hit or miss. The selection is generally pretty decent but there have been a couple times they didnt have what I needed.

The staff are rude, no rudimentary skills as far as basic car knowledge, and would probably sell you the wrong items anyhow.After I had finally coerced a response from one of the staff to load test my battery, she had the temerity to tell me, and I quote its telling me you need to charge your battery and retest...and then walked away and back into the store...wow....Do yourselves a favor...go to Oriellys or Napa in Lakeside ...where Customer service is still considered a Valuable Asset....
