GREAT AFTER SCHOOL PROGRAM MY SON LOVES IT.

My kids enjoy it and I have seen great physical developmet in my kids. Their hand eye coordination and physical strength are better, and they are learning more about the importance of practice.

There aren’t words that can began to describe how we feel about Twisting Tiger Academy🥰!!! My daughter has been going to Twisting Tiger for the last year with both after school and summer camp and they are Absolutely Wonderful with her😍!!! They have come along side us and helped her with so much! She has become more focused, self-disciplined, helpful and confident in herself!!! They are also teaching my husband and I to be healthier parents with their kickboxing class😍!!! We Love them So Much and can’t imagine being anywhere else!!! #twistingtigeracademyisawesone

My sons have been going here for almost four years now. The atmosphere here is one that has changed my sons lives for the better. The discipline and confidence they have gained has been instrumental in shaping them into the excellent young men they are today. This is a family run school that really makes everyone feel like part of the family. They care so much about their students it is refreshing compared to most martial arts schools weve been to. If you want to help your child improve in confidence, physical fitness, and integrity this is the place to come to. I dont often write reviews and almost never five star reviews but after four years I trust not only my sons with them but my whole family. If you dont believe me come in and find out for yourself, you wont be disappointed.

I love this gym. They have all the workout equipment I like to use. Most planet fitness I go to in other towns dont have all of them. The Ppl are very nice and the place is super clean. No complaints from me.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND TWISTING TIGER! This studio and the owners have made such a difference in my sons life this summer. This is his first year at this academy and we’ve already seen a significant change in his demeanor. He’s more respectful and even offers to help out around the house. He has gained a new respect for Martial Arts and wants to continue learning it. He really looks forward to coming here everyday and is so disappointed when he has to go home. We’ll be signing our little one up soon when he comes of age to join the studio.

Twisting Tiger Academy is AWESOME!! This is one of the last real martial arts schools around. I visited a lot of different schools in the area looking for a place where my son could take martial arts and learn discipline, self control, confidence and self defense as I did 30 years ago. Nothing against the other schools around, but it just seems that martial arts has been watered down to the “everyone gets a participation trophy” mentality that has plagued a whole generation. Twisting Tiger Academy is not that. You earn everything you accomplish. The classes are designed to encourage physical fitness as well as technique, self defense and discipline. My son has become more focused, confident, self controlled and has fallen in love with the learning of Kung Fu in the 4 months he has been attending. Sifu and Simo are incredible!! They LOVE their students as if they were their own children and pour their lives into them. You could not ask for better teachers!! If you’re looking for a place to help train your child to grow into the men and women that will lead the future, than look no further than Twisting Tiger Academy! You’d be crazy to go anywhere else. I would recommend them to anyone: children, teenagers or adults looking for self improvement and betterment. I wish I could give them more stars than 5, WE LOVE TWISTING TIGER ACADEMY!!!

Twisting Tiger is simply the best!!! Our eldest son has been part of their after school program now for almost 6 years now (since Kindergarten) and our youngest son now in his 2nd year. They LOVE going here!!! Twisting Tiger preaches the principles and values that prepare the kids for success in every facet of life. Not just Martial arts. To say its a family atmosphere is selling them short. Sifu and Simo Manfredy have been like a 2nd set of parents to our kids in the way they treat them and sincerely care about them. Our sons are straight A students who constantly get complimented on how well they behave and encourage others to do the same. Theyve been taught to lead, respect, defend themselves physically, psychologically, and verbally, and strive for excellence at all times. Twisting Tiger has been nothing but a blessing to our family. Ive never met a harder working and more passionate family than the Manfredys. They have been and always will be a NECESSARY part of our childrens lives. If youre looking for a place for your kids to learn Self Defense, Self Respect, leadership, empathy, work ethic and at the same time have fun doing so, then Twisting Tiger is the place!!!

This academy is amazing for children and adults! I’m always so grateful I found them. My son absolutely loves it; he’s gained so much confidence and loves learning with Simo and Sifu. He looks forward to his classes and even practices at home to ensure he’s doing it correctly. It is very family oriented and they make you feel like you’re just part of the family. Very serious place when it comes to learning Wing Chun but very caring with the families and students. I’ve always been a nervous person when it comes to leaving my kids in places or having someone pick them up from school but with these amazing people I know my kids are in great hands. 👍 give them a try you won’t regret it! 😉

My kid goes here and absolutely loves it. The owners are very professional and nice people. I was very nervous at first since this is my daughters first time ever going to a afterschool program that i had pick her up and transport and deffinatly have to say with how in tune they are with the kids and how they always have fast replys and with how they help keep them academically in-check as well i have no regrets at all. Best after school program in polk county.

Sifu Jimmy Manfredy is an amazing martial arts teacher. He is great with children, my two younger brothers joined with me too. I have been under his teaching for 10 months and have never wanted to leave. My friends and I enjoy every single moment we have been here. Everyone here is one big family, no one is left behind.

Family like atmosphere. A Sifu who is knowledgeable and cares about his students. What more can you ask for ?

Twisting Tiger Academy is a fantastic family oriented Kung Fu school. Its curriculum not only teaches the art of Kung Fu, but also enhances students’ self-confidence, self-discipline, and respect for themselves and others. I have noticed amazingly positive physical and mental growth in my child since he started taking classes here!

I have been doing Wing Chung with this place for two years now I am in 7th grade 12 years old and I am an orange belt (late 2017-early 2018) Simo and Sifu are great teachers so thank you.

My 6 year old and I have been training with Sifu for the past 10 months. My son loves it. He learns focus, self discipline, self defense, and other life skills, while Ive gained confidence, strength, and awareness. We wouldnt train anywhere else. Definitely family oriented. Sifu Manfredy has a great program running here. A very family oriented school, coming here has helped me build character as well as learn self defence. The Greatest place to train. A very knowledgeable instructor of Wing Chun Kung Fu and many many other arts. Also it is a very family oriented atmosphere which i havent seen before. I feel really comfortable training at Twisting Tiger Academy because i am able to learn more and train at a comfortable pace. Sifu Manfredy is certified Wing Chun instructor under Master Sam Hing Fai Chan and currently studies with Wing Chun Grandmaster Steve Swift in Oldsmar. Sifu Manfredy has studied multiple Kung Fu arts since a young age, and his skill and teaching strategies have worked effectively for his students.@InthaKnow68 is a student of Justin Ochs Wing Chun studio in downtown Lakeland, a competitor of Sifu Manfredys. Sifu Manfredy once studied with Justin Och, but sought more knowledgeable teachers in both Master Chan and Grandmaster Swift, and in time became a certified instructor in Wing Chun Kung Fu. All certifications of Sifu Manfredy are available upon request, and that reviews from gentlemen who are students of competing Kung Fu studios be taken with a grain of salt.I have personally studied under both Justin Och and Sifu Manfredy. I highly prefer the hands on technique used by Sifu Manfredy, who can help instruct you at your level. Ochs instruction techniques were not a fit for me, so I moved on and found an instructor who I found more acceptable.The Internet is easy to create false accounts and leave bad reviews in effort to slam the name of a competitor. The only way you may know how you will fit with any studio is a visit. I encourage anyone to check out all studios equally before making your choice. Be well.
